The proximity principle is brought forward to settle the conflicts among multiple priority requests and arrange the optimal priority sequence. To avoid over saturation of the intersection, a conditional MPBSP algorithm that adopts early green and green extension strategies is developed to give priority to the bus with the highest priority level when green time that each phase runs makes its saturation degree not larger than 0. 95. Finally, the algorithm is tested in the VISSIM environment and compared with the normal signal timing algorithm. Sensitive analysis of the number of priority phases, bus demand, and volume to capacity ratios are conducted to quantify their impacts on the benefits of the MPBSP. Results show that the MPBSP strategy can effectively reduce bus delays, and with the increase in the number of priority phases, the reduction range of bus delays also increases.展开更多

It is simplified with two normal situations: one situation involves one straight lane and one left-turn lane; the other situation involves two straight lanes and one left-turn lane. The results show that the capacity is mainly relative to signal cycle length, phase length, intersection layout and following time. With regard to the vehicles arrival rates, the optimal model is derived based on each phase's remaining time balance, and it is solved by Lagrange multipliers. Therefore, the calculation models of the optimal signal cycle length and phase lengths are derived and simplified. Compared to the existing models, the proposed model is more convenient and practical. Finally, a practical intersection is chosen and its signal cycles and phase lengths are calculated by the proposed model.展开更多

It can help improve the traffic order and enhance the degree of safety at signalized intersections. To obtain the perception information, a questionaire survey on the Internet was conducted and 972 valid questionnaires were returned. It is found that academic degree contributes little to non-motorist violations, while electrical bicyclists have a relatively higher frequency of violations compared with bicyclists. The video data of 18 228 non-motorist behaviors indicate that the violation rate of all non-motorists is 26.5%; the number of conflicts reaches 1 938, among which violation conflicts account for 66.8%. Furthermore, signal violation, traveling in the wrong direction, and overspeeding to cross the intersection are the most dangerous among traffic violation behaviors.展开更多

Upon absorption of 266 nm pump laser, 2,6-dimethylpyridine is excited to the S2 state with a ππ character from So state. The time evolution of the parent ion signals consists of two exponential decays. One is a fast component on a timescale of 635 fs and the other is a slow component with a timescale of 4.37 ps. Time-dependent photo- electron angular distributions and energy-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy are extracted from time-resolved photoelectron imaging and provide the evolutive information of S2 state. In brief, the ultrafast component is a population transfer from S2 to S1 through the S2/S1 conical intersections, the slow component is attributed to simultaneous IC from the S2 state and the higher vibrational levels of S1 state to So state, which involves the coupling of S2/S0 and S1/So conical intersections. Additionally, the observed ultrafast S2--+S1 transition occurs only with an 18% branching ratio.展开更多

The minimum signal spacing is determined by two parts, including the necessary distance for stabilizing the traffic flow after it passes through the signalized intersections and the length of the upstream functional area of intersection. For the former, based on the platoon dispersion theory, the stable distance determination problem of traffic flow is studied and a model of dispersion degrees varying with the distance from the upstream intersection is presented, in which the time headway is intended to yield the shifted negative exponential distribution. The parameters of the model for medal and collector highways are estimated respectively based on the field data. Then, the section at which the slope of dispersion degree curve equals -0.1 is regarded as the beginning of the dispersion stable state. The length of the intersection upstream functional area is determined by three parts, including the distance traveled during perception-reaction time, the distance traveled while a driver decelerates to a stop, and the queue storage length. Based on the above procedures, the minimum signal spacing of each highway category is proposed.展开更多

Due to poor miscibility of PA and ABS, developing an effective compatibilization strategy has been an urgent challenge to achieve prominent mechanical properties. In this study, we create a set of mechanically enhanced PA6/ABS blends using two multi-monomer melt-grafted compatibilizers, SEBSg-(MAH-co-St) and ABS-g-(MAH-co-St). The dispersed domain size is significantly decreased and meanwhile the unique "soft shell-encapsulating-hard core" structures form in the presence of compatibilizers. The optimum mechanical performances manifest an increase of 36% in tensile strength and an increase of 1300% in impact strength, compared with the neat PA6/ABS binary blend.展开更多

文摘To satisfy the multiple priority requests from buses that arrive at different phases within a small time window, a multi-phase bus signal priority (MPBSP) strategy is developed. Results show that the MPBSP strategy can effectively reduce bus delays, and with the increase in the number of priority phases, the reduction range of bus delays also increases.

文摘The ultrafast dynamics through conical intersections in 2,6-dimethylpyridine has been studied by femtosecond time-resolved photoelectron imaging coupled with time-resolved mass spectroscopy. Additionally, the observed ultrafast S2--+S1 transition occurs only with an 18% branching ratio.

文摘In order to improve the smoothness of traffic flow on bidirectional two-lane highways, an analytical method is proposed to optimize the minimum spacing of the signalized intersections. Based on the above procedures, the minimum signal spacing of each highway category is proposed.

文摘Under deep and complex geological conditions, severe deformation occurs at intersection points of Y-type roadways with large cross sections during engineering projects in coal mines, especially at junction arches.Based on in-situ investigations and theoretical studies,we have summarized typical forms of destruction and identified high stress and unrestricted support at both sides of junction arch as its main causes. In this study,we also presented double-directional control bolt support technology for a large Y-type span intersection, applied to deep intersection engineering in the Jiahe Coal Mine, which has proved effective.

文摘Let B^H={B^H(t),t∈R^N+}be a real-valued(N,d)fractional Brownian sheet with Hurst index H=(H1,…,HN).The characteristics of the polar functions for B^H are discussed. The relationship between the class of continuous functions satisfying Lipschitz condition and the class of polar-functions of B^H is obtained. The Hausdorff dimension about the fixed points and the inequality about the Kolmogorov’s entropy index for B^H are presented.Furthermore,it is proved that any two independent fractional Brownian sheets are nonintersecting in some conditions.A problem proposed by LeGall about the existence of no-polar continuous functions satisfying the Holder condition is also solved.
文摘The fluid of casting process is a typical kind of multi-phase flow. Actually, many casting phenomena have close relationship with the multi-phase flow, such as molten metal filling process, air entrapment, slag movement, venting process of die casting, gas escaping of lost foam casting and so on. Obviously, in order to analyze these phenomena accurately, numerical simulation of the multi-phase fluid is necessary. Unfortunately, so far, most of the commercial casting simulation systems do not have the ability of multi-phase flow modeling due to the difficulty in the multi-phase flow calculation. In the paper, Finite Different Method (FDM) technique was adopt to solve the multi-phase fluid model. And a simple object of the muiti-phase fluid was analyzed to obtain the fluid rates of the liquid phase and the entrapped air phase.

文摘The hydrocarbon detection techniques used currently are generally based on the theory of single-phase medium, but hydrocarbon reservoir mostly is multi-phase medium, therefore, multisolutions and uncertainties are existed in the result of hydrocarbon detection. This paper presents a fast way to detect hydrocarbon in accordance with BOIT theory and laboratory data. The technique called DHAF technique has been applied to several survey area and obtained good result where the coincidence rate for hydrocarbon detection is higher than other similar techniques. The method shows a good prospect of the application in hydrocarbon detecting at exploration stage and in reservoir monitoring at production stage.

文摘Polyamide/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer(PA/ABS) blends have drawn considerable attention from both academia and industry for their important applications in automotive and electronic areas. The optimum mechanical performances manifest an increase of 36% in tensile strength and an increase of 1300% in impact strength, compared with the neat PA6/ABS binary blend.

文摘On urban arterials, travel time variability is largely dependent on the variability in the delays vehicles experience at signalized intersections. The interpretation of delay evolvement at intersections will give a comprehensive insight into arterial travel time variability and provide more possibilities for travel time estimation.Accordingly,an analytical model is proposed to study delay variability at isolated,fixed-time controlled intersections.Classic cumulative curves are utilized to derive average delay(per cycle) formulas by assuming a deterministic overflow queue. Then,an analogy with the Markov chain process is made to clarify the mechanism of stochastic delays and overflow queues at signalized intersections. It was found that,in undersaturated cases, the shape of the delay distribution changes very little over time, whereas for saturated and oversaturated cases the delay distribution is time-dependent and becomes flatter with an increasing number of cycles. The analysis of arrival distributions,e.g.,Poisson and binomial, produces the conclusion that the variability of arrivals has a significant effect on delay estimates in both undersaturated and oversaturated conditions.A larger variance of arrival flow results in a larger variance of delay distribution. All of these analyses can help road authorities to gain insights into arterial travel time variability.

文摘Intersections are quite important and complex traffic scenarios, where the future motion of surrounding vehicles is an indispensable reference factor for the decision-making or path planning of autonomous vehicles.Considering that the motion trajectory of a vehicle at an intersection partly obeys the statistical law of historical data once its driving intention is determined, this paper proposes a long short-term memory based(LSTM-based)framework that combines intention prediction and trajectory prediction together.First,we build an intersection prior trajectories model(IPTM)by clustering and statistically analyzing a large number of prior traffic flow trajectories. The prior trajectories model with fitted probabilistic density is used to approximate the distribution of the predicted trajectory, and also serves as a reference for credibility evaluation.Second,we conduct the intention prediction through another LSTM model and regard it as a crucial cue for a trajectory forecast at the early stage.Furthermore, the predicted intention is also a key that is associated with the prior trajectories model. The proposed framework is validated on two publically released datasets, next generation simulation(NGSIM)and INTERACTION.Compared with other prediction methods, our framework is able to sample a trajectory from the estimated distribution, with its accuracy improved by about 20%.Finally,the credibility evaluation, which is based on the prior trajectories model, makes the framework more practical in the real-world applications.
