This paper explores the historical development and modern transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)to dispel the misconception that it is merely“traditional,ancient,backward and unscientific”.TCM,with root...This paper explores the historical development and modern transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)to dispel the misconception that it is merely“traditional,ancient,backward and unscientific”.TCM,with roots in ancient times,has evolved into a comprehensive medical system through the integration of empirical knowledge and theoretical frameworks.This review summarizes TCM’s development from three aspects:(1)Ancient Medical Development:From the Spring and Autumn to Han-Tang periods(770 B.C.E.-907 C.E.),the focus was on summarizing experience.A clear disciplinary classification emerged during the Song and Ming Dynasties(960 C.E.-1644 C.E.),and a complete medical system was established in the Qing Dynasty(1636 C.E.-1912 C.E.).(2)Modern Medical Development:Influenced by the European Industrial Revolution,new natural sciences-based technologies enhanced Western medicine’s diagnostic and treatment efficiency.The promotion of Western medicine in China and its metrological concepts,which underpin metrology-based medicine(MBM),in turn propelled the development of TCM.(3)The integration of modern TCM with metrology science has significantly changed TCM’s treatment and pharmaceutical fields.In recent decades,the introduction of western medicine has advanced TCM,creating a combined approach that leverages the advantages of both traditions.Supported by metrology and modern sciences,this integration has provided new tools for TCM quantification,standardization,and quality control.The paper emphasizes key milestones in TCM history,the impact of Western medicine and metrology on its modernization,and the potential of integrated approaches for complex medical challenges.It highlights the importance of preserving traditional knowledge while innovating to enhance TCM’s efficacy and safety.Future prospects suggest that TCM,combined with Metrology-based medicine,may play a crucial role in treating complex diseases,as modern Chinese medicine(MCM)has evolved with scientific advancements and integration of contemporary techniques.展开更多

This study mainly aims to： firstly, establish a comprehensive evaluation index system so as to explore the spatial pattern of coordinated development of Sihua in China at prefecture level; secondly, to develop an evaluation criteria system to identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of coordinated development of Sihua. This paper comes first in the scientific community to evaluate the coordinated development state of Sihua in China at prefecture level and identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of Sihua development by quantitative analysis. However, indices for evaluating the modernization of water conservancy project management are usually unobtainable in practical applications. Conducting appropriate extension of the classical rough set theory and then applying it to an incomplete information system are the key to the application of the rough set theory Based on analysis of some extended rough set models in incomplete information systems, a rough set model based on the θ-improved limited tolerance relation is put forward. At the same time, upper approximation and lower approximation are defined under this improved relation. According to the evaluation index system and management practices, the threshold for θ is defined. An example study indicates the practicability and maneuverability of the model.展开更多
While sustainability is widely recognized as a necessary path for development and climate change mitigation,there is no consensus on this concept’s goals and future aspirations.Advocates of a green economy believe th...While sustainability is widely recognized as a necessary path for development and climate change mitigation,there is no consensus on this concept’s goals and future aspirations.Advocates of a green economy believe that economic growth is a prerequisite for long-term progress and the modernization of society.This entails gradually transitioning to a more sustainable economy and addressing carbon emissions.Therefore,there is a need for the scientific community to investigate how different forms of modernization affect carbon emissions.This study examines the impact of modernization on carbon emissions in China,the world’s largest developing economy,focusing on five indicators of sustainable modernization:ecological modernization,agricultural modernization,digitalization,industrialization,and urbanization.The study analyzes data from 31 Chinese provincial-level regions between 2005 and 2020,using the GeoDetector technique to explore the effects of these indicators on carbon emissions.The spatial analysis reveals a distinct“core-periphery”structure of carbon emissions.The findings demonstrate that ecological modernization and digitalization contribute to reducing emissions.On the other hand,industrialization and urbanization have a positive influence on carbon emissions.Interestingly,agricultural modernization initially increases carbon emissions in the short term but has a diminishing effect in the long term.展开更多

文摘This paper explores the historical development and modern transformation of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)to dispel the misconception that it is merely“traditional,ancient,backward and unscientific”.TCM,with roots in ancient times,has evolved into a comprehensive medical system through the integration of empirical knowledge and theoretical frameworks.This review summarizes TCM’s development from three aspects:(1)Ancient Medical Development:From the Spring and Autumn to Han-Tang periods(770 B.C.E.-907 C.E.),the focus was on summarizing experience.A clear disciplinary classification emerged during the Song and Ming Dynasties(960 C.E.-1644 C.E.),and a complete medical system was established in the Qing Dynasty(1636 C.E.-1912 C.E.).(2)Modern Medical Development:Influenced by the European Industrial Revolution,new natural sciences-based technologies enhanced Western medicine’s diagnostic and treatment efficiency.The promotion of Western medicine in China and its metrological concepts,which underpin metrology-based medicine(MBM),in turn propelled the development of TCM.(3)The integration of modern TCM with metrology science has significantly changed TCM’s treatment and pharmaceutical fields.In recent decades,the introduction of western medicine has advanced TCM,creating a combined approach that leverages the advantages of both traditions.Supported by metrology and modern sciences,this integration has provided new tools for TCM quantification,standardization,and quality control.The paper emphasizes key milestones in TCM history,the impact of Western medicine and metrology on its modernization,and the potential of integrated approaches for complex medical challenges.It highlights the importance of preserving traditional knowledge while innovating to enhance TCM’s efficacy and safety.Future prospects suggest that TCM,combined with Metrology-based medicine,may play a crucial role in treating complex diseases,as modern Chinese medicine(MCM)has evolved with scientific advancements and integration of contemporary techniques.
文摘Targeting modernization, we should keep to the Chinese-style path of car- rying out industrialization in a new way and advancing IT application, urbanization, and agricultural modernization. In the research, the scientific concepts of IT applica- tion, urbanization, agricultural modernization and industrialization were illustrated and the interrelations were analyzed, with measures on harmonized development pro- posed based on existing problems.
文摘China’s agricultural modernization drive has made steady progress with great achievements.After six decades of development,China has reached the mid-stage of agricultural modernization.By the average pace of recent years,China is poised to attain agricultural and rural modernization by 2035,but progress will vary considerably across regions and sectors.A transition towards an agricultural powerhouse is the only path towards agricultural modernization.Being a large agricultural producer,China has yet to qualify as an agricultural powerhouse in terms of agricultural sufficiency,competitiveness,innovation,and sustainability.From the mid-and long-term perspective,our agricultural modernization should proceed in light of China’s rural reform experience,focusing on food security,agricultural industry,green transition,and agri-tech.With a regionally differentiated approach,China should aim to basically achieve agricultural and rural modernization in about 15 years and complete the transition towards an agricultural powerhouse in 20 years from 2020.

文摘Identifying the problem regions and regional problems, and thus improving regional policies, are crucial for the sustainable development of various economic entities. The coordinated development of industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization（hereinafter referred to as ＂Sihua＂） is not only a practical need but an important strategic direction of integrating urban-rural development and regional development in recent China, and it also provides a significant perspective for identifying problem regions and regional problems so as to improve the regional policies. This study mainly aims to： firstly, establish a comprehensive evaluation index system so as to explore the spatial pattern of coordinated development of Sihua in China at prefecture level; secondly, to develop an evaluation criteria system to identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of coordinated development of Sihua. This paper comes first in the scientific community to evaluate the coordinated development state of Sihua in China at prefecture level and identify the problem regions and regional problems from the perspective of Sihua development by quantitative analysis. This study may benefit the improvement of regional policies and thus contribute to the sustainable socio-economic development of China.

文摘The modernization of water conservancy project management is a complicated engineering system involving a management system, a management method, management personnel, the exertion of social, economic, and ecological effects, and so on. However, indices for evaluating the modernization of water conservancy project management are usually unobtainable in practical applications. Conducting appropriate extension of the classical rough set theory and then applying it to an incomplete information system are the key to the application of the rough set theory Based on analysis of some extended rough set models in incomplete information systems, a rough set model based on the θ-improved limited tolerance relation is put forward. At the same time, upper approximation and lower approximation are defined under this improved relation. According to the evaluation index system and management practices, the threshold for θ is defined. An example study indicates the practicability and maneuverability of the model.

文摘While sustainability is widely recognized as a necessary path for development and climate change mitigation,there is no consensus on this concept’s goals and future aspirations.Advocates of a green economy believe that economic growth is a prerequisite for long-term progress and the modernization of society.This entails gradually transitioning to a more sustainable economy and addressing carbon emissions.Therefore,there is a need for the scientific community to investigate how different forms of modernization affect carbon emissions.This study examines the impact of modernization on carbon emissions in China,the world’s largest developing economy,focusing on five indicators of sustainable modernization:ecological modernization,agricultural modernization,digitalization,industrialization,and urbanization.The study analyzes data from 31 Chinese provincial-level regions between 2005 and 2020,using the GeoDetector technique to explore the effects of these indicators on carbon emissions.The spatial analysis reveals a distinct“core-periphery”structure of carbon emissions.The findings demonstrate that ecological modernization and digitalization contribute to reducing emissions.On the other hand,industrialization and urbanization have a positive influence on carbon emissions.Interestingly,agricultural modernization initially increases carbon emissions in the short term but has a diminishing effect in the long term.
