A U-type slot on a stepped U-type UWB mon...The micro-genetic algorithm (MGA) optimization combined with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is applied to design a band-notched ultra wide-band (UWB) antenna. A U-type slot on a stepped U-type UWB monopole is used to obtain the band-notched characteristic for 5 GHz wireless local area network (WLAN) band. The measured results show that voltage standing wave ration (VSWR) less than 2 covers 3.1-10.6 GHz operating band and VSWR more than 2 is within 5.150-5.825 GHz notched one with the highest value of 5.6. Agreement among the calculated, HFSS simulated and measured results validates the effiectiveness of this MGA-FDTD method, which is efficient for UWB antennas design.展开更多
Passively stabilized double-wing Flapping Micro Air Vehicles(FMAVs)do not require active control and exhibit good electromagnetic interference resistance,with significant research value.In this paper,the dynamic model...Passively stabilized double-wing Flapping Micro Air Vehicles(FMAVs)do not require active control and exhibit good electromagnetic interference resistance,with significant research value.In this paper,the dynamic model of FMAV was established as the foundation for identifying flapping damping coefficients.Through a pendulum experiment,we ascertain the flapping damping of the damper using the energy conservation method.Besides,fitting relationships between the damper area,damper mass,and the moment of inertia are developed.The factors influencing the bottom damper damping are deter-mined using correlation coefficients and hypothesis testing methods.Additionally,stable dampers are installed on both the top and bottom of the FMAV to achieve passive stability in simulations.The minimum damper areas for the FMAV were optimized using genetic algorithms,resulting in a minimum top damper area of 128 cm^(2) and a minimum bottom damper area of 80 cm^(2).A prototype with a mass of 25.5 g and a wingspan of 22 cm has been constructed.Prototype testing demonstrated that FMAV can take off stably with a 3 g payload and a tilt angle of 5°.During testing,the area-to-mass ratio of the FMAV reached 7.29 cm^(2)/g,achieving passive stability with the world's smallest area-to-mass ratio.展开更多
To improve drying uniformity and anthocyanin content of the raspberry puree dried in a continuous microwave dryer,the effects of process parameters(microwave intensity,air velocity,and drying time)on evaluation indexe...To improve drying uniformity and anthocyanin content of the raspberry puree dried in a continuous microwave dryer,the effects of process parameters(microwave intensity,air velocity,and drying time)on evaluation indexes(average temperature,average moisture content,average retention rate of the total anthocyanin content,temperature contrast value,and moisture dispersion value)were investigated via the response surface method(RSM)and the artificial neural network(ANN)with genetic algorithm(GA).The results showed that the microwave intensity and drying time dominated the changes of evaluation indexes.Overall,the ANN model was superior to the RSM model with better estimation ability,and higher drying uniformity and anthocyanin retention rate were achieved for the ANN-GA model compared with RSM.The optimal parameters were microwave intensity of 5.53 W•g^(-1),air velocity of 1.22 m·s^(-1),and drying time of 5.85 min.This study might provide guidance for process optimization of microwave drying berry fruits.展开更多

Due to the natural sources an...This paper proposes an optimal configuration of the distributed hybrid renewable generations based on the stand-alone micro-grid system, considering the diesel as the main control source. Due to the natural sources and load of user changes randomly and the non-tinearity of the power output by renewable generations, an intelligent optimization method based on the improvement of the genetic algorithm and the control strategy are discussed. The instance analysis is compared with the optimization result of the hybrid system based on HOMER (hybrid optimization of multiple energy resources) and GA (genetic algorithm) method on Matlab software. The simulation result of the optimal configuration showed the new hybrid renewable system and would improve the power supply situation which decreased the cost of energy greatly compared with the conventional form of power supply system which was operated only by diesel. The conclusion of the comparing result between HOMER and GA method shows the advantages of the strategy for the diesel as main control sources.展开更多
