The energy-saving electrohydraulic flow matching (EFM) system opens up an opportunity to minimize valve losses by fully opening the control valves, but the controllability is lost under overrunning load conditions. To address this issue, this paper proposes a valve-based compensator to improve the controllability of the energy-saving EFM system. The valve-based compensator consists of a static compensator and a differential dynamic compensator based on load conditions. The energy effi- ciency, the stability performance, and the damping characteristic are analyzed under different control parameters. A parameter selection method is used to improve the efficiency, ensure the stability performance, and obtain good dynamic behavior. A test rig with a 2-t hydraulic excavator is built, and experimental tests are carried out to validate the proposed valve-based compensator. The experimental results indicate that the controllability of the EFM system is improved, and the characteristic of high energy efficiency is obtained by the proposed compensator. 展开更多

Intelligent binary schema matching system in heterogeneity environment

For the past three decades, interoperability among heterogeneous systems had been a hard nut to crack due to the schematic and semantic perspectives that exist between objects. These systems were built under different data models. As such, levels of the local schemas are semantically very poor due to the limited expressiveness of traditional data models in which they were designed. Further more, most of the existing schema integration architectural components are inadequately equipped to handle the mapping schemas, especially when the semantics and structural conflicts are involved. This paper introduces an Intelligent Binary Schema Matching system (IBSMS), which exploits the phenomenon of making its components intelligent. That’s equipping its components such as translators and integrators with adequate knowledge about various data models. This allows the components acquire enough intelligence to maneuver or manipulate the correspondence between constructs from different models. In addition, the system has a Binary Matcher, which compares the attribute correspondences of various databases in a pairwise form, in order to establish the equivalences. With the establishment of the mappings, the users shall be able to access them (mappings) for their desired usage. 展开更多

Ground source heat pump systems demonstrate significant potential for northern rural heating applications;however,the effectiveness of these systems is often limited by challenging geological conditions.For instance,in certain regions,the installation of buried pipes for heat exchangers may be complicated,and these pipes may not always serve as efficient low-temperature heat sources for the heat pumps of the system.To address this issue,the current study explored the use of solar-energy-collecting equipment to supplement buried pipes.In this design,both solar energy and geothermal energy provide low-temperature heat to the heat pump.First,a simulation model of a solar‒ground source heat pump coupling system was established using TRNSYS.The accuracy of this model was validated through experiments and simulations on various system configurations,including varying numbers of buried pipes,different areas of solar collectors,and varying volumes of water tanks.The simulations examined the coupling characteristics of these components and their influence on system performance.The results revealed that the operating parameters of the system remained consistent across the following configurations:three buried pipes,burial depth of 20 m,collector area of 6 m^(2),and water tank volume of 0.5 m^(3);four buried pipes,burial depth of 20 m,collector area of 3 m^(2),and water tank volume of 0.5 m^(3);and five buried pipes with a burial depth of 20 m.Furthermore,the heat collection capacity of the solar collectors spanning an area of 3 m^(2)was found to be equivalent to that of one buried pipe.Moreover,the findings revealed that the solar‒ground source heat pump coupling system demonstrated a lower annual cumulative energy consumption compared to the ground source heat pump system,presenting a reduction of 5.31%compared to the energy consumption of the latter. 展开更多

Based on the inertial navigation system, the influences of the excursion of the inertial navigation system and the measurement error of the wireless pressure altimeter on the rotation and scale of the real image are quantitatively analyzed in scene matching. The log-polar transform (LPT) is utilized and an anti-rotation and anti- scale image matching algorithm is proposed based on the image edge feature point extraction. In the algorithm, the center point is combined with its four-neighbor points, and the corresponding computing process is put forward. Simulation results show that in the image rotation and scale variation range resulted from the navigation system error and the measurement error of the wireless pressure altimeter, the proposed image matching algo- rithm can satisfy the accuracy demands of the scene aided navigation system and provide the location error-correcting information of the system. 展开更多

The existing investigations of vehicle ride comfort mainly include motion characteristics analysis based on creating a multi-body dynamic simulation model,and the parameters analysis to improve the suspension control for the target.In the study of creating multi-body dynamics simulation models,there is usually without considering calibration and test verification,which make it difficult to ensure the production of engineering.In the study of improving the suspension control parameters for the target,there is a lack of systematic match about comfortable and human characteristics,so it is difficult to implement in the field of driving and leading the vehicle design.In this paper,based on the different characteristic of suspension system that effects on the vehicle ride comfort, according to the suspension system dynamic mechanism,the research methods of vehicle road test,bench test and CAE simulation is used,at the same time,several sensitivity analysis of vehicle ride comfort related to suspension stiffness and damping and speed is made. As a result,the key suspension systematic parameters are given that have important impact on vehicle ride comfort.Through matching parameters,a calibration analysis of suspension system based on human comfort is obtained.The analysis results show that the analysis methods for the design target of making the vehicle with best comfort are effective.On the basis of the theory study,five suspension parameter matching principles are explored to promise the vehicle with perfect ride comfort,which also provide theoretical basis and design methods for the passenger car best match of suspension system stiffness and damping.The research results have the promotional value of practicability and a wide range of engineering application. 展开更多

A novel method of matching stiffness and continuous variable damping of an ECAS(electronically controlled air suspension) based on LQG(linear quadratic Gaussian) control was proposed to simultaneously improve the road-friendliness and ride comfort of a two-axle school bus.Taking account of the suspension nonlinearities and target-height-dependent variation in suspension characteristics,a stiffness model of the ECAS mounted on the drive axle of the bus was developed based on thermodynamics and the key parameters were obtained through field tests.By determining the proper range of the target height for the ECAS of the fully-loaded bus based on the design requirements of vehicle body bounce frequency,the control algorithm of the target suspension height(i.e.,stiffness) was derived according to driving speed and road roughness.Taking account of the nonlinearities of a continuous variable semi-active damper,the damping force was obtained through the subtraction of the air spring force from the optimum integrated suspension force,which was calculated based on LQG control.Finally,a GA(genetic algorithm)-based matching method between stepped variable damping and stiffness was employed as a benchmark to evaluate the effectiveness of the LQG-based matching method.Simulation results indicate that compared with the GA-based matching method,both dynamic tire force and vehicle body vertical acceleration responses are markedly reduced around the vehicle body bounce frequency employing the LQG-based matching method,with peak values of the dynamic tire force PSD(power spectral density) decreased by 73.6%,60.8% and 71.9% in the three cases,and corresponding reduction are 71.3%,59.4% and 68.2% for the vehicle body vertical acceleration.A strong robustness to variation of driving speed and road roughness is also observed for the LQG-based matching method. 展开更多

A geometrical analysis based algorithm is proposed to achieve the stereo matching of a single-lens prism based stereovision system. By setting the multi- face prism in frontal position of the static CCD (CM-140MCL) camera, equivalent stereo images with different orientations are captured synchronously by virtual cameras which are defined by two boundary lines: the optical axis and CCD camera field of view boundary. Subsequently, the geometrical relationship between the 2D stereo images and corresponding 3D scene is established by employing two fundamentals: ray sketching in which all the pertinent points, lines, and planes are expressed in the 3D camera coordinates and the rule of refraction. Landing on this relationship, the epipolar geometry is thus obtained by fitting a set of corresponding candidate points and thereafter, stereo matching of the prism based stereovision system is obtained. Moreover, the unique geometrical properties of the imaging system allow the proposed method free from the complicated camera calibration procedures and to be easily generalized from binocular and tri-oeular to multi-ocular stereovision systems. The performance of the algorithm is presented through the experiments on the binocular imaging system and the comparison with a conventional projection method demonstrates the efficient assessment of our novel contributions. 展开更多

To alleviate the conservativeness of the stability criterion for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy time-delay systems, a new delay-dependent stability criterion was proposed by introducing a new augmented Lyapunov function with an additional triple-integral term, which was firstly u3ed to derive the stability criterion for T-S fuzzy time-delay systems. By the same approach, the robust stability issue for fuzzy time-delay systems with uncertain parameters was also considered. On the other hand, in order to enhance the design flexibility, a new design approach for uncertain fuzzy time-delay systems under imperfect premise matching was also proposed, which allows the fuzzy controller to employ different membership functions from the fuzzy time-delay model. By the numerical examples, the proposed stability conditions are less conservative in the sense of getting larger allowable time-delay and obtaining smaller feedback control gains. For instance, when the allowable time-delay increases from 7.3 s to 12 s for an uncertain T-S fuzzy control system with time-delay, the norm of the feedback gains decreases from (34.299 2, 38.560 3) to (10.073 3, 11.349 0), respectively. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the proposed design method was illustrated by the last example with the robustly stable curves of system state under the initial condition of x(0) = [3 -1]. 展开更多

When saving energy in a pneumatic system,the problem of energy losses is usually solved by reducing the air supply pressure.The power-matching method is applied to optimize the air-supply pressure of the pneumatic system,and the energy-saving effect is verified by experiments.First,the experimental platform of a pneumatic rotary actuator servo-control system is built,and the mechanism of the valve-controlled cylinder system is analyzed.Then,the output power characteristics and load characteristics of the system are derived,and their characteristic curves are drawn.The employed air compressor is considered as a constant-pressure source of a quantitative pump,and the power characteristic of the system is matched.The power source characteristic curve should envelope the output characteristic curve and load characteristic curve.The minimum gas supply pressure obtained by power matching represents the optimal gas supply pressure.The comparative experiments under two different gas supply pressure conditions show that the system under the optimal gas supply pressure can greatly reduce energy losses. 展开更多

This paper investigates the channel diversity problem in high frequency(HF) communication systems. Due to the limited HF spectrum resources, a HF communication system with shared channels is considered, where each user equipment(UE) has individual communication demand. In order to maximize the communication probability of the whole system, a matching-potential game framework is designed. In detail, the channel diversity problem is decomposed into two sub-problems. One is channel-transmitter matching problem, which can be formulated as a many-to-one matching game. The other is the transmitter allocation problem which decides the transmission object that each transmitter communicates with under channel-transmitter matching result, and this sub-problem can be modeled as a potential game. A multiple round stable matching algorithm(MRSMA) is proposed, which obtains a stable matching result for the first sub-problem, and a distributed BR-based transmitter allocation algorithm(DBRTAA) is designed to reach Nash Equilibrium(NE) of the second sub-problem. E-commerce, as an emerging marketing mode, has attracted more and more attention and gradually changed the way of our life. However, the existing layout of distribution centers can't fulfill the storage and picking demands of e-commerce sufficiently. In this paper, a modified miniload automated storage/retrieval system is designed to fit these new characteristics of e-commerce in logistics. Meanwhile, a matching problem, concerning with the improvement of picking efficiency in new system, is studied in this paper. The problem is how to reduce the travelling distance of totes between aisles and picking stations. A multi-stage heuristic algorithm is proposed based on statement and model of this problem. The main idea of this algorithm is, with some heuristic strategies based on similarity coefficients, minimizing the transportations of items which can not arrive in the destination picking stations just through direct conveyors. The experimental results based on the cases generated by computers show that the average reduced rate of indirect transport times can reach 14.36% with the application of multi-stage heuristic algorithm. For the cases from a real e-commerce distribution center, the order processing time can be reduced from 11.20 h to 10.06 h with the help of the modified system and the proposed algorithm. In summary, this research proposed a modified system and a multi-stage heuristic algorithm that can reduce the travelling distance of totes effectively and improve the whole performance of e-commerce distribution center. 展开更多

The optimal matching of a propeller to the hull and the diesel engine of the combine diesel or gas (CODOG) system is a critical design analysis in ship building. In this research work, a controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) was considered whereby the pitch was varied, but only the extreme pitch set the limit of operation and matching was done with the extreme pitch condition. It considers the performance analysis of the propeller, the hull and the engine both in design and off design conditions. Without propulsion a vessel built cannot move and so choosing the right propeller to match the hull and engine is very vital. The various processes involved in the matching of the propeller to the diesel engine and hull of the vessel are considered, in order to achieve optimal performance of the vessel. A Java program (prop-matching) was developed to facilitate the matching process. The graphs obtained are used to determine the matching point at corresponding speed and power. The thrust and torque developed under different conditions as well as their significance, considering the fact that the propeller is a CPP. The engine response in transient conditions in reaction to the turbo charger was considered, the matching graph of the turbo charger compressor was discussed, and the calculated mass flow rate with various engine speeds and boost pressure were also discussed. This program was further used in matching the propeller to the hull and diesel or gas engines of a F90 frigate. The corresponding propeller rpm and engine power with pitch ratios from the program were similar to those from the design of the frigates. The various thrust and torque coefficients and open water efficiency all correspond to the simulated results of those of the naval frigate. 展开更多

Refractive index matching(RIM)is widely used to investigate particle-liquid mixture flows.However,determining the volume fractionφin RIM is generally empirical and lacks theoretical or experimental basis.To reasonably reconstruct the internalφ,this study performs systematic calibration experiments to study the relationship betweenφand the imaging indicators.The results show that the model based on area fraction c2D will induce a large error for lowφowing to the instability of the particle’s apparent size.The traditionally adopted proportional functionφ=ac2D is only valid forφnear the calibration point.A predictive model is proposed based on the size of the Voronoi cell,dpoly,which proves to be more accurate and stable in RIM experiments.The dpoly-based model is applied to dense granular flows down an inclined plane to study the internal profiles ofφand the bottom normal stress. 展开更多

Identifying speed,tag average response times and reliability are the most important capabilities in passive RFID(radio frequency identification) system.QT(query tree) is a famous algorithm for lowest-cost RFID tags,but its shortcoming is high searching delay and high tag average response times.A prefix subsection matching binary(PSMB) algorithm based on QTalgorithm is proposed.The key idea of PSMB anti-collision algorithm is that,during searching phase,a given reader uses the particular tags ID,which has been searched out formerly,to shorten searching delay and depress tag average response times.The idea of PSMB algorithm can be described as follows.Usually,tag ID is composed of several subsections which have different meanings.Based on the tags ID searched out formerly,a given reader builds a prefix database.In subsequent searching phase,the reader uses its prefix database to deduce searching space of tag ID.Simulation results show that identification delay of PSMB algorithm is about 1/3 of QTalgorithm,tag average response times is about 1/4 of QTalgorithm,and system throughput rate is treble QTalgorithm. 展开更多
