This work examines the influence of preparation methods on the physicochemical properties and catalytic performance of MnOx‐CeO2 catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH3 (NH3‐SCR) at low temperature. Five different methods, namely, mechanical mixing, impregnation,hydrothermal treatment, co‐precipitation, and a sol‐gel technique, were used to synthesizeMnOx‐CeO2 catalysts. The catalysts were characterized in detail, and an NH3‐SCR model reaction waschosen to evaluate the catalytic performance. The results showed that the preparation methodsaffected the catalytic performance in the order: hydrothermal treatment > sol‐gel > co‐precipitation> impregnation > mechanical mixing. This order correlated with the surface Ce3+ and Mn4+ content,oxygen vacancies and surface adsorbed oxygen species concentration, and the amount of acidic sitesand acidic strength. This trend is related to redox interactions between MnOx and CeO2. The catalystformed by a hydrothermal treatment exhibited excellent physicochemical properties, optimal catalyticperformance, and good H2O resistance in NH3‐SCR reaction. This was attributed to incorporationof Mnn+ into the CeO2 lattice to form a uniform ceria‐based solid solution (containing Mn‐O‐Cestructures). Strengthening of the electronic interactions between MnOx and CeO2, driven by thehigh‐temperature and high‐pressure conditions during the hydrothermal treatment also improved the catalyst characteristics. Thus, the hydrothermal treatment method is an efficient and environment‐friendly route to synthesizing low‐temperature denitrification (deNOx) catalysts. 展开更多

For a chlorinating method at low temperature, the possibility of chlorination of Nd2O3 by a mechanochemical reaction with CCl4 was studied using a planetary ball mill. The mechanochemical experiments were conducted by changing the pot materials, milling time, molar ratio of CCl4/Nd2O3, and revolution speed. As the results of obtained products by X-ray diffractometry and Raman spectroscopy, it was confirmed that the chlorination to NdOCl from Nd2O3 with CCl4 was advanced at room temperature in a zirconia or tungsten pot with balls. We found that an extension of the milling time and an increase of the number of ball were effective to the chlorination to NdOCl and that tensile stress remained in the milled powder by using a planetary ball mill. 展开更多

YAG:Ce3+ phosphor was prepared by sol-gel low-temperature combustion method. The effects of the precursor properties and calcining temperature on the crystallization process, microscopic morphology and luminescent properties of phosphor were studied. The results indicate that the pure phase of YAG can be obtained at 800 ℃ by sol-gel low temperature combustion method, using citric acid as complexing agent. When the molar ratio of metal ion to citric acid is 2.0 and pH value is 2, the crystallinity increases and the phosphor particle size grows up gradually with the increase of the calcining temperature. The powders were characterized through thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscope analysis. The excitation spectra of YAG:Ce3+ phosphor take on a double peak structure, and the peak value of the main excitation spectra occurs at 460 nm and that of the emission spectra is near 530 nm. With the gradual increase of the calcining temperature, the peak position of excitation and emission spectra remains basically unchanged, but its relative intensity increases gradually. 展开更多

Active boundary layer flow control and boundary layer manipulation in the channel flow that was based on low temperature plasma were studied by means of a lattice Boltzmann method. Two plasma actuators were placed in a row to obtain the influence rule of their separation distance on the velocity profile at three locations and maximum velocity in the flow field. Two plasma actuators were placed symmetrically inside a channel to examine the effect of channel height and voltage on the velocity profile and flow rate. It was found that the channel height controls the distribution of flow velocity, which affected the flow rate and its direction. Increasing plasma voltage had a negative effect on the flow rate due to the generation of a larger and stronger flow vortex. 展开更多

Sodium potassium niobate (KNN) (K0.5Na0.5NbO3) nanopowder with a mean particle size of about 20 - 30 nm was synthesized by wet chemical route using Nb2O5 as Nb source. A solution of K, Na and Nb cations was prepared, which resulted in a clear gel after the thermal treatment. Phase analysis, microstructure and morphology of the powder were determined by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). The obtained gel was first analyzed by Thermo Gravimetric Analyzer (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and then calcined at different temperatures of 400℃, 500℃, 600℃ and 700℃. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns of the synthesized samples confirmed the formation of the orthorhombic crystal phase of K0.5Na0.5NbO3 at 500?C, a temperature significantly lower than that typically used in the conventional mixed oxide route. The process developed in this work is convenient to realize the mass production of KNN nanopowders at low cost and suitable for various industrial applications. 展开更多

Single-phase insulating 12CaO?7Al_2O_3(C12A7) powder was synthesized using an optimized hydrothermal method. Pure phase of C12A7 was got at a comparatively lower temperature(c.a. 300 ℃) than that has been previously reported. The crystallite size of the synthesized C12A7 powder was 7±2 nm. The surface area values calculated for all the samples at a synthesis temperature range of 250-800 ℃ for 5 h were in the range of about 19-24 m^2/g, with pore sizes of 12-20 nm. This low-temperature-based synthetic strategy along with nano porous structures and a high surface area value can facilitate catalyst application. 展开更多

Using XRD,TEM and VSM methods,the phase,morphology and magnetic property of iron hydroxide oxide(FeOOH) which has been prepared by low-temperature neutralization reaction under different magnetic fields were analyzed.It can be found that the magnetic field had a great influence on the product.Acicular goethite(α-FeOOH) was synthetized without magnetic field.When the magnetic flux density was increased to 0.1T,γ-FeOOH was obtained.If the magnetic field intensity was raised to 0.5T,the product was all composed of δ-FeOOH.Moreover,the crystallization of FeOOH was greatly influenced by magnetic field as well.Thermodynamic calculation results show that the magnetic free energy of chemical reaction reached to more than hundreds KJ/mol when the magnetic field is applied.It meaned that the application of magnetic field was conducived to producing the products with higher susceptibility.Even under the low magnetic field,due to the stability of the reaction products was broken by the magnetic field,the magnetic free energy was also effective. 展开更多

This study explored the superior citrate method(CM)to synthesize Mn-Ce bi-oxides on 3 D monolithic Ni-foam(NF)catalysts for the selective catalytic reduction of NO by NH_(3)(NH_(3)-SCR).The 17 wt%Mn(7)Ce(3)O_(x)/NF(CM-17)catalyst shows the NO_(x)conversion of 98.7%at 175℃and 90%in the presence of 10 vol%H2 O.It is revealed that the combination of surface-active oxygen(formed by high-level oxygen vacancies)and strongly oxidized Mn4+species promots the Fast-SCR reactions,in which Mn4+species play a leading role in NH_(3)-SCR reaction,and the unsaturated Ni atoms and also Ce3+species promote electron exchange and thus improve the redox performance.The coexistence mechanisms of Fast-SCR reactions and E-R pathways are observed over Mn-CeO_(x)/NF catalyst,which may be promoted by the Br?nsted sites at low temperature.In addition,the heat resistance,stability,3 D monolithic porous structure and excellent physical properties of foam nickel provide a unique growth substrates for catalysts preparation and reaction sites for NO_(x)purification.Therefore,industrial application of Mn-Ce bioxides loaded on 3 D monolithic is proposed to be achieved through reasonable preparation methods. 展开更多

Low temperature cracking(LTC)distress on pavement seriously affects road life.This paper finished a literature review of the research on the mechanism of LTC of asphalt composites(asphalt composites refers to asphalt binder and asphalt mixture in this article),test methods,factors contributing to LTC,measures to prevent and control the distress,and prediction of LTC in asphalt pavements.The following conclusions were obtained:the cracking mechanism of asphalt mixtures needs to be further revealed by means of simulation at the micro level,the BBR and 4 mm plate test(by DSR)methods are currently optimal,and a correlation between asphalt and asphalt mixture evaluation indexes needs to be established.Sensitivity analyses are needed for the factors affecting LTC of asphalt mixtures.It is necessary to calculate the contribution of each factor to the LTC of asphalt mixtures.The aim is to propose targeted improvement measures for the most unfavourable factors,as well as to carry out research and development of key materials for anti-cracking.Measures for the prevention and control of LTC of asphalt pavement are analyzed and discussed.Existing researches on the prediction of LTC of asphalt pavements is discussed.It is necessary to analyse the mechanical response of asphalt pavement,the damage process and the sensitivity of anti-cracking parameters on the basis of considering the complex geometrical characteristics and material properties of asphalt pavement materials.Finally,the mechanism of LTC,evaluation methods,factors influencing LTC,and remedial measures for asphalt composites were summarized,and future research prospects were suggested.This paper provides theoretical support for the further solution of LTC distress of asphalt pavement,which is effective on the improvement of pavement life. 展开更多

MnO_(x)-CeO_(2) catalysts are developed by hydrolysis driving redox method using acetate precursor(3 Mn1 Ce-Ac) and nitrate precursor(3 Mn1 Ce-N) for the selective catalytic reduction(SCR) of NO_(x) by NH_(3).A counterpart sample(Cop-3 Mn1 Ce) was prepared by the NH_(3)·H_(2) O co-precipitation method for comparison purpose.Combining the results of physicochemical properties characterization and performance test,we find that the 3 Mn1 Ce-Ac catalyst with some nanorod structures is highly active for the deNOx process.The SCR activity of the 3 Mn1 Ce-Ac catalyst is more admirable than the 3 Mn1 Ce-N and the Cop-3 Mn1 Ce catalysts due to plentiful Lewis acid sites,excellent low-temperature reducibility,and superior surface area resulted from O_(2) generation during the pre paration procedure.The 3 Mn1 Ce-Ac still exhibits the greatest performance for the deNO_(x )process when gaseous acetone is in the SCR feed gas.The NOx conversion and N2 selectivity over the 3 Mn1 Ce-Ac are both improved by gaseous acetone above150℃ due to the inhibition of SCR undesired side reactions(NSCR & C-O reactions) and "slow-SCR" process. 展开更多

Titanium-pillared clays (Ti-PILCs) were obtained by different ways from TiCl4, Ti(OC3H7)4 and TiOSO4, respectively. Mn-CeOx/Ti- PILCs were then prepared and their activities of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO with NH3 at low-temperature were evaluated. Mn-CeOx/Ti-PILCs were characterized by X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis, temperature-programmed desorption of ammonia and H2-temperature-programmed reduction. It was found that Ti-pillar tend to be helpful for the enlargement of surface area, pore volume, acidity and the enhancement of thermal stability for Mn-CeOx/Ti-PILCs. Mn- CeOx/Ti-PILCs catalysts were active for the SCR of NO. Among three resultant Mn-CeOx/Ti-PILCs, the catalyst from TiOSO4 showed the highest activity with 98% NO conversion at 220°C, it also exhibited good resistance to H2O and SO2 in flue gas. The catalyst from TiCl4 exhibited the lowest activity due to the unsuccessful pillaring process. 展开更多

The low diffusion (LD) particle method, proposed by Burt and Boyd, is modified for the near-continuum two-phase flow simulations. The LD method has the advantages of easily coupling with the direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method for multi-scale flow simulations and dramatically reducing the numerical diffusion error and statistical scatter of the equilibrium particle methods. Liquidor solid-phase particles are introduced in the LD method. Their velocity and temperature updating are respectively, calculated from the motion equation and the temperature equation according to the local gas properties. Coupling effects from condensed phase to gas phase are modeled as momentum and energy sources, which are respectively, equal to the negative values of the total momentum and energy increase in liquid or solid phase. The modified method is compared with theoretical results for unsteady flows, and good agreements are obtained to indicate the reliability of the one-way gas-to-particle coupling models. Hybrid LD-DSMC algorithm is implemented and performed for nozzle discharging gas-liquid flow to show the prospect of the LD-DSMC scheme for multi-scale two-phase flow simulations. 展开更多

This paper reviews the solution-phase synthesis of nanoparticles via some routes at low temperatures, such as room temperature route, wave-assisted synthesis (γ-irradiation route and sonochemical route), directly heating at low temperatures, and hydrothermal/solvothermal methods. A number of strategies were developed to control the shape, the size, as well as the dispersion of nanostructures. Using diethylamine or n-butylamine as solvent, semiconductor nanorods were yielded. By the hydrothermal treatment of amorphous colloids, Bi2S3 nanorods and Se nanowires were obtained. CdS nanowires were prepared in the presence of polyacrylamide. ZnS nanowires were obtained using liquid crystal. The polymer poly (vinyl acetate) tubule acted as both nanoreactor and template for the CdSe nanowire growth. Assisted by the surfactant of sodium dodecyl benzenesulfonate (SDBS), nickel nanobelts were synthesized. In addition, Ag nanowires, Te nanotubes and ZnO nanorod arrays could be prepared without adding any additives or templates. 展开更多

This method effectively solves the problems caused by solid-state reaction at high temperature and the hard ag-glomerates brought by the chemical precipitation method. The powders are characterized by TG-DTA, XRD, FT-IR and TEM respectively. The experiments show that the forming temperature of YAG crystal phase is 850°C and the pseudo-YAG crystalline appears during the calcination and transforms to pure YAG at 1050°C. The powders with sizes less than 50 nm are observed by TEM micrography, which is consistent with the result calculated by Scherrer's formula. The powders consist of single grains. 展开更多

The tetrabutyl titanate was hydrolyzed and crystallized into anatase TiO2 to inter- connect nanocrystalline TiO2 particles and adhere them to conductive substrates, obtaining highly porous and me- chanically stable TiO2 nanocrystalline film. Based on the two-dimensional three-temperature (2D3T) radiation diffusion equations and its discrete system, using the block diagonal structure of the three-temperature matrix, the reordering and symbolic decomposition parts of the RSMF method are replaced with corresponding block operation in order to improve the solution efficiency. We call this block form method block RSMF (in brief, BRSMF) method. The new BRSMF method not only makes the reordering and symbolic decomposition become more effective, but also keeps the cost of numerical factorization from increasing and ensures the precision of solution very well. The theoretical analysis of the computation complexity about the new BRSMF method shows that the solution efficiency about the BRSMF method is higher than the original RSMF method. The numerical experiments also show that the new BRSMF method is more effective than the original RSMF method. 展开更多

磷/氮/硅复配协效阻燃棉织物制备及其性能

为实现棉织物的高效阻燃,以聚乙烯亚胺(PEI)、植酸(PA)、纳米二氧化硅(SiO_(2))为原料,构建磷/氮/硅复配协效阻燃体系。采用喷涂法对棉织物进行阻燃整理,借助X射线能谱分析仪、垂直燃烧测试仪、扫描电子显微镜、极限氧指数测试仪、热重... 为实现棉织物的高效阻燃,以聚乙烯亚胺(PEI)、植酸(PA)、纳米二氧化硅(SiO_(2))为原料,构建磷/氮/硅复配协效阻燃体系。采用喷涂法对棉织物进行阻燃整理,借助X射线能谱分析仪、垂直燃烧测试仪、扫描电子显微镜、极限氧指数测试仪、热重分析仪、微型量热仪和烟密度测试等分析了阻燃棉织物的微观形貌表面形貌、燃烧性能、阻燃性能、热释放性能、热稳定性及其阻燃机制。结果表明:PEI、PA、SiO_(2)三者复配整理棉织物的阻燃效果最佳,整理后棉织物的极限氧指数(LOI)为30.3%,离火自熄,损毁长度降为7.2 cm;与预处理的棉织物相比,阻燃棉织物的热释放能力和总热释放量分别下降了85.0%和83.3%;PA先于棉织物吸热降解,抑制棉织物的初始热裂解;PEI、PA、SiO_(2)通过协同作用形成石墨化结构的炭化层,可提高其稳定性并阻隔氧气及热量的传递,有效改善了棉织物的阻燃性能。 展开更多
