The estimators the authors derive can be applied in more extensive practical scenarios since they are only dependent on the first two moments of prior parameter rather than on specific prior distribution. In a crowd density estimation dataset,the annotation of crowd locations is an extremely laborious task,and they are not taken into the evaluation metrics.In this paper,we aim to reduce the annotation cost of crowd dat...In a crowd density estimation dataset,the annotation of crowd locations is an extremely laborious task,and they are not taken into the evaluation metrics.In this paper,we aim to reduce the annotation cost of crowd datasets,and propose a crowd density estimation method based on weakly-supervised learning,in the absence of crowd position supervision information,which directly reduces the number of crowds by using the number of pedestrians in the image as the supervised information.For this purpose,we design a new training method,which exploits the correlation between global and local image features by incremental learning to train the network.Specifically,we design a parent-child network(PC-Net)focusing on the global and local image respectively,and propose a linear feature calibration structure to train the PC-Net simultaneously,and the child network learns feature transfer factors and feature bias weights,and uses the transfer factors and bias weights to linearly feature calibrate the features extracted from the Parent network,to improve the convergence of the network by using local features hidden in the crowd images.In addition,we use the pyramid vision transformer as the backbone of the PC-Net to extract crowd features at different levels,and design a global-local feature loss function(L2).We combine it with a crowd counting loss(LC)to enhance the sensitivity of the network to crowd features during the training process,which effectively improves the accuracy of crowd density estimation.The experimental results show that the PC-Net significantly reduces the gap between fullysupervised and weakly-supervised crowd density estimation,and outperforms the comparison methods on five datasets of Shanghai Tech Part A,ShanghaiTech Part B,UCF_CC_50,UCF_QNRF and JHU-CROWD++.展开更多

A robust observer-based fault estimator is designed such that the augment error system is exponentially stable and the H∞ performance index meets the predefined requirements. Based on the multiple Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions and the average dwell-time method, the delay dependent sufficient conditions on the existence of desired fault estimator are established. However, since these conditions are not linear matrix inequalities(LMIS), they can not be solved by MATLAB. By using a novel method, these conditions are presented in terms of LMIS. Finally, a numerical example is carried out. The designed fault estimator could tract the fault signal timely. Besides, the error between estimation and fault is very small. Therefore, the validity of the obtained results is illustrated.展开更多

In this paper, by means of linear mean-squ...The attempt to obtain long-term observed data around some sea areas we concern is usually very hard or even impossible in practical offshore and ocean engineering situations. In this paper, by means of linear mean-square estimation method, a new way to extend short-term data to long-term ones is developed. The long-term data about concerning sea areas can be constructed via a series of long-term data obtained from neighbor oceanographic stations, through relevance analysis of different data series. It is effective to cover the insufficiency of time series prediction method's overdependence upon the length of data series, as well as the limitation of variable numbers adopted in multiple linear regression model. The storm surge data collected from three oceanographic stations located in Shandong Peninsula are taken as examples to analyze the number-selection effect of reference oceanographic stations(adjacent to the concerning sea area) and the correlation coefficients between sea sites which are selected for reference and for engineering projects construction respectively. By comparing the N-year return-period values which are calculated from observed raw data and processed data which are extended from finite data series by means of the linear mean-square estimation method, one can draw a conclusion that this method can give considerably good estimation in practical ocean engineering, in spite of different extreme value distributions about raw and processed data.展开更多

In target tracking applications,the Doppler measurement contains information of the target range rate,which has the potential capability to improve the tracking performance.However,the nonlinear degree between the mea...In target tracking applications,the Doppler measurement contains information of the target range rate,which has the potential capability to improve the tracking performance.However,the nonlinear degree between the measurement and the target state increases with the introduction of the Doppler measurement.Therefore,target tracking in the Doppler radar is a nonlinear filtering problem.In order to handle this problem,the Kalman filter form of best linear unbiased estimation(BLUE)with position measurements is proposed,which is combined with the sequential filtering algorithm to handle the Doppler measurement further,where the statistic characteristic of the converted measurement error is calculated based on the predicted information in the sequential filter.Moreover,the algorithm is extended to the maneuvering target tracking case,where the interacting multiple model(IMM)algorithm is used as the basic framework and the model probabilities are updated according to the BLUE position filter and the sequential filter,and the final estimation is a weighted sum of the outputs from the sequential filters and the model probabilities.Simulation results show that compared with existing approaches,the proposed algorithm can realize target tracking with preferable tracking precision and the extended method can achieve effective maneuvering target tracking.展开更多

A new approach is presented for inter-harmonic modeling and parameter estimation based on linear support vector machine (SVM). Firstly, parameter estimation of linear model is realized based on standard linear SVM. Then, interharmonic model is transformed to a linear model according to trigonometric functions. The approach obtains order of inter-harmonic model with windowed Blackman-Tukey (BT) spectrum analysis, and gets number and frequency of harmonics. Finally, the linear SVM is applied to estimate the inter-harmonic parameters, amplitude and initial phase. The simulation results show that the proposed approach has high precision and good antinoise. The accuracy of three parameters are all higher than 98%.展开更多
Significant wave height is an important criterion in designing coastal and offshore structures.Based on the orthogonality principle, the linear mean square estimation method is applied to calculate significant wave he...Significant wave height is an important criterion in designing coastal and offshore structures.Based on the orthogonality principle, the linear mean square estimation method is applied to calculate significant wave height in this paper.Twenty-eight-year time series of wave data collected from three ocean buoys near San Francisco along the California coast are analyzed.It is proved theoretically that the computation error will be reduced by using as many measured data as possible for the calculation of significant wave height.Measured significant wave height at one buoy location is compared with the calculated value based on the data from two other adjacent buoys.The results indicate that the linear mean square estimation method can be well applied to the calculation and prediction of significant wave height in coastal regions.展开更多

In the field of noise identification of underwater moving target, the Doppler will distort the frequency and amplitude of the radiated noise. To eliminate this, the track estimation is necessary. In the DPS method, we first estimate bearings of two sinusoidal pulse sources installed in the moving target through baseline positioning method. Meanwhile, the emitted and recorded time of each pulse are also acquired. Then the linear track parameters will be achieved based on the geometry pattern with the help of double sources spacing. The simulated results confirm that the DPS improves the performance of the previous double source spacing method. The simulated experiments were carried out using a moving battery car to further evaluate its performance. When the target is 40-60m away, the experiment results show that biases of track azimuth and abeam distance of DPS are under 0.6° and 3.4m, respectively. And the average deviation of estimated velocity is around 0.25m/s.展开更多

The undesired quadrant ambiguity can be further resolved by using the acquired estimate of spatial phase factor.

文摘There are often system. The high measure many inter-harmonics in power t accuracy of inter-harmonics order, amplitude and initial phase is needed. A new approach is presented for inter-harmonic modeling and parameter estimation based on linear support vector machine (SVM). Firstly, parameter estimation of linear model is realized based on standard linear SVM. Then, interharmonic model is transformed to a linear model according to trigonometric functions. The approach obtains order of inter-harmonic model with windowed Blackman-Tukey (BT) spectrum analysis, and gets number and frequency of harmonics. Finally, the linear SVM is applied to estimate the inter-harmonic parameters, amplitude and initial phase. The simulation results show that the proposed approach has high precision and good antinoise. The accuracy of three parameters are all higher than 98%.

文摘Significant wave height is an important criterion in designing coastal and offshore structures.Based on the orthogonality principle, the linear mean square estimation method is applied to calculate significant wave height in this paper.Twenty-eight-year time series of wave data collected from three ocean buoys near San Francisco along the California coast are analyzed.It is proved theoretically that the computation error will be reduced by using as many measured data as possible for the calculation of significant wave height.Measured significant wave height at one buoy location is compared with the calculated value based on the data from two other adjacent buoys.The results indicate that the linear mean square estimation method can be well applied to the calculation and prediction of significant wave height in coastal regions.
文摘The double pulse sources (DPS) method is presented for linear track estimation in this work. In the field of noise identification of underwater moving target, the Doppler will distort the frequency and amplitude of the radiated noise. To eliminate this, the track estimation is necessary. In the DPS method, we first estimate bearings of two sinusoidal pulse sources installed in the moving target through baseline positioning method. Meanwhile, the emitted and recorded time of each pulse are also acquired. Then the linear track parameters will be achieved based on the geometry pattern with the help of double sources spacing. The simulated results confirm that the DPS improves the performance of the previous double source spacing method. The simulated experiments were carried out using a moving battery car to further evaluate its performance. When the target is 40-60m away, the experiment results show that biases of track azimuth and abeam distance of DPS are under 0.6° and 3.4m, respectively. And the average deviation of estimated velocity is around 0.25m/s.
文摘In this paper,the problem of Parameter estimation in linear delayedsystems from sampled data is treated.Using numerical integral operation(NIO),anidentification model which is parametrized directly in the linear delayed system pa-rameters is got.With the least square(LS)method or the instrumental variable(Ⅳ)method,the recursive algorithm of parameter estimation is given.The result ofthe illustrated example shows that this algorithm is simple,rapid and accurrate.

文摘In this article, robust generalized estimating equation for the analysis of partial linear mixed model for longitudinal data is used. The authors approximate the nonparametric function by a regression spline. Under some regular conditions, the asymptotic properties of the estimators are obtained. To avoid the computation of high-dimensional integral, a robust Monte Carlo Newton-Raphson algorithm is used. Some simulations are carried out to study the performance of the proposed robust estimators. In addition, the authors also study the robustness and the efficiency of the proposed estimators by simulation. Finally, two real longitudinal data sets are analyzed.

文摘Distributed state estimation is of paramount importance in many applications involving the large-scale complex systems over spatially deployed networked sensors.This paper provides an overview for analysis of distributed state estimation algorithms for linear time invariant systems.A number of previous works are reviewed and a clear classification of the main approaches in this field are presented,i.e.,Kalman-filter-type methods and Luenberger-observer-type methods.The design and the stability analysis of these methods are discussed.Moreover,a comprehensive comparison of the existing results is provided in terms of some standard metrics including the graph connectivity,system observability,optimality,time scale and so on.Finally,several important and challenging future research directions are discussed.
