The main tool in this paper is "the generalized Neumann lemma" which is quite different from the method in [12] where "the generalized Banach lemma" was used. By the method of the perturba- tion analysis of bounded linear operators, we obtain an explicit perturbation theorem and three inequalities about error estimates for the Moore-Penrose metric generalized inverse of bounded linear operator under the generalized Neumann lemma and the concept of stable perturbations in Banach spaces.展开更多
We study the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in the case of USA by using an asymmetric ARDL bounds test approach to achieve the actual model. The quarterly data set covers the period of 197...We study the relationship between energy consumption and economic growth in the case of USA by using an asymmetric ARDL bounds test approach to achieve the actual model. The quarterly data set covers the period of 1973:1- 2013:4. The findings indicate that the effect of energy consumption is asymmetric in the long term but not in the short term. In the long run, the effect of negative component of energy consumption on economic growth is small and statistically insignificant. The coefficient of the positive component of energy consumption is found about 0.9 and statistically significant at 1% level. We conclude that energy saving policies such as technological progress and organizational rearrangements may have the dimmer effect for the impact of a negative component of energy consumption and the booster effect for impact of the positive component of energy consumption. Thus, energy saving policy should be tightly followed by the goal of high economic growth.展开更多

We first analyze the measurements of FDOA, and further derive the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) of geoloeation using FDOA measurements. For the localization model is a nonlinear least squares(LS) estimator with a nonlinear constrained, a linearizing method is used to convert the model to a linear least squares estimator with a nonlinear con- strained. The Gauss-Newton iteration method is developed to conquer the source localization problem. From the analysis of solving Lagrange multiplier, the algorithm is a generalization of linear-correction least squares estimation procedure under the condition of geolocation using FDOA measurements only. The algorithm is compared with common least squares estimation. Comparisons of their estimation accuracy and the CRLB are made, and the proposed method attains the CRLB. Simulation re- sults are included to corroborate the theoretical development.展开更多

An application based on manipulator arm actuated by a direct current (DC) motor is presented to evaluate the performance of the proposed observer. It is found that initial chirp changes th...The collision characteristics of the orthogonally polarized solitons with initial linear frequency chirp in the linear birefringent fibre for β2 〈 0 are numerically studied. It is found that initial chirp changes the threshold value of solitons to form the bound-state in the birefringent fibre. The effect of initial positive chirp on the threshold value is more obvious than that of negative chirp. In the case of (δ= 0.7 and initial interval 2τ0 = 1.25, the two solitons are mutually bound for 0.2 ≤ C ≤ 1, and they do not form the bound-state for -1 ≤ C 〈 0.2. Frequency shifts increase with the increase of chirp parameter C for -1 ≤ C 〈 0.2, and have the oscillatory structure for C ≥ 0.2. The effect of positive chirp on temporal FWHM is greater than that of negative chirp. The peak of temporal waveform oscillates with the propagation distance. The period and amplitude of the oscillation for the chirped case are greater than those for the unchirped case, and they vary with the increase of |C|. The peak of output temporal waveform can be controlled by changing the initial chirp.展开更多

The introducedfunctional does not require bounding for cross terms, so it has less conservation. Secondly, withthe help of the obtained bounded real lemma, a sufficient condition for the existence of a newdeky-dependent H-infinity state-feedback controller is shown in terms of nonlinear matrixinequalities and the solvability of the problem can be obtained by using an iterative algorithminvolving convex optimization. The lemmas reduce the original computations of norms into linear matrix inequality(LMI) problems, which can be performed in a computationally efficient fashion. This convex relaxation is enlightened from the generalized Kalman-YakubovichPopov(KYP) lemma and brings no conservatism to the L-BR. Meanwhile, an H-BR is developed similarly but with some conservatism.However, it can test the system stability automatically in addition to the norm computation, which is of fundamental importance for system analysis. From this advantage, we further address the synthesis problem of H∞control for fractional order systems in the form of LMI. Three illustrative examples are given to show the effectiveness of our methods.展开更多

The polymer-bound Schiff base ternary manganese complexes [PS-SalPhe-Mn-L(L=Phen, Bipy and 8HQ)] have been prepared from the polymer-bound Schiff base ligand, a manganese salt and the second ligand, such as 1,10-phena...The polymer-bound Schiff base ternary manganese complexes [PS-SalPhe-Mn-L(L=Phen, Bipy and 8HQ)] have been prepared from the polymer-bound Schiff base ligand, a manganese salt and the second ligand, such as 1,10-phenanthroline(phen), 2,2′-bipyridyl(bipy) and 8-quinolinol(8HQ). The polymer-bound Schiff base ternary manganese complexes were characterized by means of infrared spectrometry and ICP-AES. The catalytic activities of the complexes have been studied in the aerobic epoxidation of long-chain linear aliphatic olefins. It is shown that 1-octene or 1-decene can be directly oxidized by molecular oxygen when catalyzed by PS-SalPhe-Mn-L(L=Phen, Bipy and 8HQ), and 1,2-epoxy alkane can be afforded in these reactions.展开更多

By introducing the idea of matrix decomposition into the synthesis problem, incorporating with Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and adding "zeros" matrix through the correlation of each item in Newton-Leibniz formula, we present a sufficient condition via the feedback stabilization based on linear matrix inequality (LMI). LMI is a new delay dependent condition that is much less conservative, and it guarantees that the system is robust asymptotically stable via state feedback controller. Neither the model transformation nor the bounding cross terms is employed. Finally, a numerical example is presented and it demonstrates the effectiveness of the offered method.展开更多
