In our procedure, an operator is employed in using color features. According to their histogram distribution of hue component in HSL color space after enhancing the contrast of image in RGB color space, the threshold of segmentation between leukocyte and erythrocyte could be achieved well. Especially, this algorithm is more efficient than monochrome for leukocyte segmentation, and the results of experiments show that it provides a good tool for cytological image, which can increase accuracy of segmentation of leukocyte.展开更多

Jingyu) were studied by shading. Compared to the grape grown under natural light intensity environment, the net photosynthetic rate diurnal variation curve of experimental plants grown in weak light intensity environment was remarkably lower. Its leaf and stem biomass ratio increased when light intensity decreased, the root and new shoot biomass ratio showed an opposite trend. The 14 C-photoassimilates was mostly distributed to young leaves and stem, a little was distributed to root. The metabolism of 14C-photoassimilates distributed to the entire grape body were also changed under weak light intensity environment.展开更多

Ultraviolet (UV) light from the sun can induce various photochemical transformations of contaminants in the environment. Alkylnaphthalenes are light-molecular-weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) which are one of the most widespread organic pollutants present in ambient air as a result of a variety of incomplete combustion sources. In this study, 1-methylnapthalene,a typical example of an alkylnaphthalene, was subjected to UV irradiation to investigate its transformation in the presence and absence of air. Twenty-one products were detected in the reaction mixtures. Some photo-oxidation products were identified, including both ring-opened and ring-retained oxygenated compounds, such as 1-naphthaldehyde, 1-naphthoic acid, 1-naphthalenemethanol and phthalic anhydride. Although dimeric products were observed in the presence of air, more were found in the presence of helium or argon gas, indicating a different photo-oxidation pathway from those commonly observed in other media, such as water. Under just 48 hours of exposure to the UV light in the presence of air, three major products were formed with a production yield of about 10% each. Compared to 1-methylnapthalene, the UV induced transformation products observed in this study are more volatile, acidic, water soluble or toxic. The formation of these products may significantly change our understanding of the risks assessed solely from the parent compound in contaminants research and supports the inclusion of airborne transformations of the parent compound in risk assessment.展开更多

The bFGF and TGF-β1 mRNA expression, protein levels and fluorescence intensity of the Müller cells were analyzed.RESULTSThe bFGF mRNA expression and protein levels were significantly upregulated in Müller cells in all three experimental groups compared with the control group (P<0.05), while that of TGF-β1 was downregulated (P<0.05). Also, bFGF expression was positively correlated, but TGF-β1 expression was negatively correlated with illumination time. The largest changes for both cytokines were seen in the 24h group. The changes in bFGF and TGF-β1 fluorescence intensity were highest in the 24h group, and significant differences were observed among the experimental groups (P<0.05).CONCLUSIONThe expressions of bFGF and TGF-β1 changed in a time-dependent manner in Müller cells exposed to 530 nm monochromatic light with 250 lx illumination intensity. Müller cells might play a role in the development of myopia by increasing bFGF expression or decreasing TGF-β1 expression. Changes in cytokine expression in retinal Müller cells may affect monochromatic light-induced myopia.展开更多
