This study explored the role of learning engagement in the relationship between academic self-efficacy and self-directed learning ability among nursing students.Participants were 328 Chinese nursing students(male=11.3...This study explored the role of learning engagement in the relationship between academic self-efficacy and self-directed learning ability among nursing students.Participants were 328 Chinese nursing students(male=11.3%,female=88.7%;mean age=20.86 years;SD=1.75 years).The participants completed surveys on academic self-efficacy(Academic Self-efficacy Scale),learning engagement(Learning Engagement Scale),and self-directed learning ability(Self-directed Learning Instrument).Hayes regression-based PROCESS macro analysis revealed that learning engagement mediated the relationship between academic self-efficacy and self-directed learning ability.The hierarchical regression analysis showed higher academic self-efficacy to be associated with self-directed learning ability.Additionally learning engagement was associated with higher self-directed learning ability.Based on thesefindings,there is a need for interventions to improve students’self-directed learning ability through increasing their academic self-efficacy and enhancing learning engagement.展开更多

Methods: 501 nursing...Objective: to analyze the influence of "PBL" based community nursing online practice mode on the autonomous learning ability of undergraduate nursing students during this special period. Methods: 501 nursing students from a certain university were selected in a cluster for research. The online practice mode of community nursing based on "PBL" was applied. The practice mode was mainly online video learning + literature reading + group discussion + theme report + knowledge expansion training. Before and after the practice, a questionnaire survey was conducted using the self-regulated learning ability scale. Results: the total score of self-regulated learning ability of undergraduate nursing students after practice (100.19 ± 8.59) was significantly higher than that before practice (98.14 ± 7.98), and the difference was statistically significant (P 0.05);In all dimensions, the scores of information management ability and learning cooperation ability after internship were higher than those before internship, and the difference was statistically significant (P 0.05);But there was no significant difference in self-management ability before and after treatment (P > 0.05). Conclusion: "PBL" based community nursing online practice mode can significantly improve students autonomous learning ability, which can be further studied and applied in community nursing practice.展开更多

Methods: 60 students from Class 9-12 of Grade 19 clinical students, semester: the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, were selected to form the experimental group, and the scaffolding teaching model was implemented. Another 60 students from Class 9-12 of Grade 19 clinical students, semester: the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, were selected to form the control group, and the traditional teaching model was adopted. Compare the scores of learning ability and communication ability. Results: there was no significant difference in the learning ability scores of the two groups of clinical students in the first week of teaching (p > 0.05). After three months, the scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (p < 0.05). There was no difference in the scores in the first week, and the scores in each experimental group were higher after three months (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the clinical practice ability scores of the two groups of clinical students in the first week of teaching (P > 0.05). After three months, the clinical practice ability scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: in the teaching of clinical students, the implementation of scaffolding instruction model can improve students' comprehensive quality ability in learning, communication and clinical practice behavior. This paper analyses the intrinsic relationship between the BP network learning ability and generalization ability and other influencing factors when the overfit occurs, and introduces the multiple correlation coeffici...This paper analyses the intrinsic relationship between the BP network learning ability and generalization ability and other influencing factors when the overfit occurs, and introduces the multiple correlation coefficient to describe the complexity of samples; it follows the calculation uncertainty principle and the minimum principle of neural network structural design, provides an analogy of the general uncertainty relation in the information transfer process, and ascertains the uncertainty relation between the training relative error of the training sample set, which reflects the network learning ability, and the test relative error of the test sample set, which represents the network generalization ability; through the simulation of BP network overfit numerical modeling test with different types of functions, it is ascertained that the overfit parameter q in the relation generally has a span of 7×10-3 to 7×10-2; the uncertainty relation then helps to obtain the formula for calculating the number of hidden nodes of a network with good generalization ability under the condition that multiple correlation coefficient is used to describe sample complexity and the given approximation error requirement is satisfied; the rationality of this formula is verified; this paper also points out that applying the BP network to the training process of the given sample set is the best method for stopping training that improves the generalization ability.展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of diet quantity on learning a...BACKGROUND: Diet can regulate gene expression via manifesting genetic style so as to make a correlation with senility and tumor onset of tissue organs. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of diet quantity on learning and memory ability and immunological function changes in mice and verify the correlation between functional changes and diet quantity. DESIGN: Completely randomized grouping design. SETTINGS: Three Gorges University Medical College; School of Medicine, Hubei Institute for Nationalities. MATERIALS: Eighty Kunming mice of 3 weeks old, grade Ⅱ, weighing 17 - 18 g and either gender, were selected from Animal Experimental Center, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The experimental animals were disposed according to ethical criteria. At one week after feeding, they were randomly divided into 4 groups, including over-diet group, quantitative-diet group, quantitative-limit diet group and over-limit diet group with 20 mice in each group. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Medical Experimental Center of Hubei Institute for Nationalities and the Department of Laboratory, Central Hospital of Hubei Enshi Autonomous Prefecture from April to June 2006. (1) Diet quantity of animals was 〉 6 g/d in the over-diet group, 4 g/d in the quantitative-diet group, 3.34 g/d in the quantitative-limit diet group and 1.8 g/d in the over-limit diet group, respectively. Mice in the four groups drank freely. (2) At 35 days after feeding, every 10 mice were randomly selected from each group and enclosed in the wide mouthed bottle (250 mL, containing sodalime) to observe and record survival time under normal pressure and hypoxic condition. Other mice were given step down test, shuttle box test and autonomic activity test. Step down test: The first step-down latency and error times within 5 minutes were used to evaluate learning ability and the memory ability was retested at 24 hours later. Shuttle box test: The shuttle-box latency and error times within 5 minutes were used to evaluate learning ability and the memory ability was retested at 24 hours later. Times of autonomic activity within 5 minutes were used to evaluate ability of autonomic activity. In addition, blood was collected from eyeball to measure plasma immune globulin and complement by using immunoturbidimetry. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Effect of different diet quantity on learning and memory ability; (2) effect of different diet quantity on times of autonomic activity and survival time under hypoxia and normal pressure; (3) effect of different diet quantity on content of immune globulin and complement. RESULTS: All 80 mice were involved in the final analysis. (1) Effect of different diet quantity on learning and memory ability: There was no significant difference in learning ability during step down test (P 〉 0.05). While, memory ability in the over-diet group and the quantitative-diet group was better than that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.235 - 2.423, P 〈 0.05). During shuttle box test, learning and memory ability in the over-diet group was superior to that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.237 - 2.431, P 〈 0.05). While, memory ability in the quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group was superior to that in the over-limit group (t =2.704 - 2.813, P 〈 0.05). (2) Effect of different diet quantity on times of autonomic activity and survival time under hypoxia and normal pressure: There were significant differences in the times of autonomic activity among quantitative-diet group, quantitative-limit diet group and over-limit diet group (t = 2.725 - 2.98, P 〈 0.05). Survival time in the quantitative-diet group and the quantitative-limit diet group was longer than that in the over-diet group (t =2.365, 2.719, P 〈 0.05), but shorter than that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.427, 2.538, P 〈 0.05). While, survival time in the over-limit diet group was longer than that in the over-diet group (t =2.765, P 〈 0.01). (3) Effect of different diet quantity on content of immune globulin and complement: There was no significant difference in content of IgG and IgA (P 〉 0.05). Content of IgM in the over-limit diet group was higher than that in the over-diet group, quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group (t =2.304- 2.421, P 〈 0.05). Contents of complement C3 and C4 in the quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group were higher than those in the over-diet group (t = 2.319 - 2.738, P 〈 0.05), but lower than those in the over-limit diet group (t =2.317 - 2.716, P 〈 0.05). While, contents of C3 and C4 in the over-limit diet group were higher than those in the over-diet group (t =3.247, 4.53, P 〈 0.01). CONCLUSION: Both quantitative diet and quantitative-limit diet can improve learning and memory ability, autonomic activity and immnological stress; however, over-limit diet may decrease these abilities.展开更多

This paper analyzes the problems faced by College English Teaching in ethnic minority areas, arguing that it is imperative to cultivate autonomous learning ability of College English in ethnic minority areas. The strategies of cultivating students' autonomous learning ability are discussed in this paper and some suggestions on the scope of application of these strategies are put forward.
文摘The Internet is an important means of communication for contemporary college students,especially those majoring in English,to acquire knowledge about information and improve their oral proficiency.However,research on the relevant oral English autonomous learning ability of English majors shows that the overall learning situation is not satisfying.Based on the development of the concept of autonomous learning,this article explores the current situation and existing problems in oral English autonomous learning of English majors under the context of the Internet,and proposes corresponding autonomous learning strategies for improving their oral English skill.
文摘Objective: to analyze the influence of scaffolding instruction model on the improvement of clinical students' learning ability. Methods: 60 students from Class 9-12 of Grade 19 clinical students, semester: the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, were selected to form the experimental group, and the scaffolding teaching model was implemented. Another 60 students from Class 9-12 of Grade 19 clinical students, semester: the first semester of the 2021-2022 academic year, were selected to form the control group, and the traditional teaching model was adopted. Compare the scores of learning ability and communication ability. Results: there was no significant difference in the learning ability scores of the two groups of clinical students in the first week of teaching (p > 0.05). After three months, the scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (p < 0.05). There was no difference in the scores in the first week, and the scores in each experimental group were higher after three months (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the clinical practice ability scores of the two groups of clinical students in the first week of teaching (P > 0.05). After three months, the clinical practice ability scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: in the teaching of clinical students, the implementation of scaffolding instruction model can improve students' comprehensive quality ability in learning, communication and clinical practice behavior. This teaching method is worthy of wide application in clinical teaching.

文摘Objective of the survey: to understand the status quo of special education students' independent learning ability, in order to train their professional independent learning ability to take measures to provide practical basis;Respondents: 310 students in grade 1-4 majoring in special education in Xinjiang and abroad;Questionnaire survey design: option takes the form of Likert 5 subscales, classification, research contents include the learner's goal setting and self-efficacy, goal orientation, prepare to review, knowledge, understanding, difficult point to grasp, learning arrangements, supervision, learning initiative, environmental management, time management, cooperative learning, the resources use 13 dimensions. The results show that the students' autonomous learning ability of special education major is moderately positive on the whole. There was no difference in the independent learning ability of the special education students of different genders. There are significant differences in student origin place, family environment, class leader or not, location of university and grade.

That the cause why university students' English autonomous learning ability is weak is proved to be that they do not value the use of learning strategies. The use of learning strategies can promote the formation and enhancement of autonomous learning ability of the learners. Metacognitive strategy is a high-level management skill which can enable the learners to plan, regulate, monitor and evaluate actively their own learning process. Massive researches have proved whether metacognitive strategy is used successfully or not can directly affect the student learning result. So, it is necessary for teachers to cultivate and train the students to use metacogitive strategy in the university English teaching.
文摘This paper analyses the intrinsic relationship between the BP network learning ability and generalization ability and other influencing factors when the overfit occurs, and introduces the multiple correlation coefficient to describe the complexity of samples; it follows the calculation uncertainty principle and the minimum principle of neural network structural design, provides an analogy of the general uncertainty relation in the information transfer process, and ascertains the uncertainty relation between the training relative error of the training sample set, which reflects the network learning ability, and the test relative error of the test sample set, which represents the network generalization ability; through the simulation of BP network overfit numerical modeling test with different types of functions, it is ascertained that the overfit parameter q in the relation generally has a span of 7×10-3 to 7×10-2; the uncertainty relation then helps to obtain the formula for calculating the number of hidden nodes of a network with good generalization ability under the condition that multiple correlation coefficient is used to describe sample complexity and the given approximation error requirement is satisfied; the rationality of this formula is verified; this paper also points out that applying the BP network to the training process of the given sample set is the best method for stopping training that improves the generalization ability.

文摘This study aims to explore the relationship among autonomous learning ability,learning burnout and English grades by structural equation modeling.The survey of 481 non-English majors showed that autonomous learning ability,learning burnout and English grades correlated significantly with each other,and the structural equation model of the three variables was stable.This suggests that the stronger the autonomous learning ability,the lower the level of learning burnout,the higher the English grades.This empirical study shows that the autonomous learning ability of non-English majors can influence the level of learning burnout,which in turn influences English grades.Learning burnout can mediate the effects of autonomous learning ability on English grades.
文摘BACKGROUND: Diet can regulate gene expression via manifesting genetic style so as to make a correlation with senility and tumor onset of tissue organs. OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of diet quantity on learning and memory ability and immunological function changes in mice and verify the correlation between functional changes and diet quantity. DESIGN: Completely randomized grouping design. SETTINGS: Three Gorges University Medical College; School of Medicine, Hubei Institute for Nationalities. MATERIALS: Eighty Kunming mice of 3 weeks old, grade Ⅱ, weighing 17 - 18 g and either gender, were selected from Animal Experimental Center, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The experimental animals were disposed according to ethical criteria. At one week after feeding, they were randomly divided into 4 groups, including over-diet group, quantitative-diet group, quantitative-limit diet group and over-limit diet group with 20 mice in each group. METHODS: The experiment was carried out in the Medical Experimental Center of Hubei Institute for Nationalities and the Department of Laboratory, Central Hospital of Hubei Enshi Autonomous Prefecture from April to June 2006. (1) Diet quantity of animals was 〉 6 g/d in the over-diet group, 4 g/d in the quantitative-diet group, 3.34 g/d in the quantitative-limit diet group and 1.8 g/d in the over-limit diet group, respectively. Mice in the four groups drank freely. (2) At 35 days after feeding, every 10 mice were randomly selected from each group and enclosed in the wide mouthed bottle (250 mL, containing sodalime) to observe and record survival time under normal pressure and hypoxic condition. Other mice were given step down test, shuttle box test and autonomic activity test. Step down test: The first step-down latency and error times within 5 minutes were used to evaluate learning ability and the memory ability was retested at 24 hours later. Shuttle box test: The shuttle-box latency and error times within 5 minutes were used to evaluate learning ability and the memory ability was retested at 24 hours later. Times of autonomic activity within 5 minutes were used to evaluate ability of autonomic activity. In addition, blood was collected from eyeball to measure plasma immune globulin and complement by using immunoturbidimetry. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: (1) Effect of different diet quantity on learning and memory ability; (2) effect of different diet quantity on times of autonomic activity and survival time under hypoxia and normal pressure; (3) effect of different diet quantity on content of immune globulin and complement. RESULTS: All 80 mice were involved in the final analysis. (1) Effect of different diet quantity on learning and memory ability: There was no significant difference in learning ability during step down test (P 〉 0.05). While, memory ability in the over-diet group and the quantitative-diet group was better than that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.235 - 2.423, P 〈 0.05). During shuttle box test, learning and memory ability in the over-diet group was superior to that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.237 - 2.431, P 〈 0.05). While, memory ability in the quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group was superior to that in the over-limit group (t =2.704 - 2.813, P 〈 0.05). (2) Effect of different diet quantity on times of autonomic activity and survival time under hypoxia and normal pressure: There were significant differences in the times of autonomic activity among quantitative-diet group, quantitative-limit diet group and over-limit diet group (t = 2.725 - 2.98, P 〈 0.05). Survival time in the quantitative-diet group and the quantitative-limit diet group was longer than that in the over-diet group (t =2.365, 2.719, P 〈 0.05), but shorter than that in the over-limit diet group (t =2.427, 2.538, P 〈 0.05). While, survival time in the over-limit diet group was longer than that in the over-diet group (t =2.765, P 〈 0.01). (3) Effect of different diet quantity on content of immune globulin and complement: There was no significant difference in content of IgG and IgA (P 〉 0.05). Content of IgM in the over-limit diet group was higher than that in the over-diet group, quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group (t =2.304- 2.421, P 〈 0.05). Contents of complement C3 and C4 in the quantitative-diet group and quantitative-limit diet group were higher than those in the over-diet group (t = 2.319 - 2.738, P 〈 0.05), but lower than those in the over-limit diet group (t =2.317 - 2.716, P 〈 0.05). While, contents of C3 and C4 in the over-limit diet group were higher than those in the over-diet group (t =3.247, 4.53, P 〈 0.01). CONCLUSION: Both quantitative diet and quantitative-limit diet can improve learning and memory ability, autonomic activity and immnological stress; however, over-limit diet may decrease these abilities.
