The adoption of content and language integrated learning(CLIL)practices has expanded in recent years as higher education institutions adopt a top-down English medium of instruction(EMI)language policy in the hope of e...The adoption of content and language integrated learning(CLIL)practices has expanded in recent years as higher education institutions adopt a top-down English medium of instruction(EMI)language policy in the hope of entering the international knowledge market(De Costa et al.,2022;Isidro&Lasagabaster,2019).However,research focusing on the effects of EMI policy on content teachers needing to implement CLIL,especially within trilingual contexts such as Kazakhstan,has been marginal despite drastic alterations to teachers’professional context and expectations(Karabassova,2022b).Such changes may result in teachers’feelings of professional vulnerability-an emotion that often arises when changes in professional expectations and professional context disrupt one’s professional identity and pedagogical practices(Kelchtermans,2009).Our case study focuses on the professional vulnerability experienced by a Kazakhstani in-service teacher as she negotiated a CLIL pedagogy for the first time.Relying on semi-structured interviews,recorded classroom observation,field notes,and developed material,our findings highlight how macro(e.g.,societal)and meso(e.g.,institutional)language policies can affect teachers’lived experiences and pedagogical practices within their classrooms.Lastly,we provide ways in which administrators can assist teachers in overcoming professional vulnerability as institutions adopt language policies such as CLIL.展开更多

This study examines the mediating role of innovation strategy in the relationship between network capital and the internationalization of Chinese high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs),as well as the moder...This study examines the mediating role of innovation strategy in the relationship between network capital and the internationalization of Chinese high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs),as well as the moderating effect of government policy on this mediating pathway.Based on survey data collected from 289 high-tech SMEs located in Shenzhen,China,a moderated mediation model was tested using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling(PLS-SEM).The results indicate that innovation strategy serves as a significant mechanism through which network capital enhances international performance.Furthermore,government support plays a critical moderating role by strengthening the indirect effect of network capital on internationalization via innovation strategy.Specifically,the mediating effect is more pronounced under high levels of government policy support.These findings contribute to the literature on internationalization by elucidating a conditional process model that explains how relational resources are transformed into global competitive advantage through strategic innovation,contingent on institutional support.The study offers practical implications for SME managers seeking to leverage external networks and innovation capabilities,as well as for policymakers aiming to design effective public interventions that facilitate international expansion.展开更多

This paper takes global manufacturing listed companies from 2010 to 2022 as samples and uses the difference-in-differences(DID)method to empirically examine the impact of the internationalization of ESG standards on t...This paper takes global manufacturing listed companies from 2010 to 2022 as samples and uses the difference-in-differences(DID)method to empirically examine the impact of the internationalization of ESG standards on the trade competitiveness of multinational enterprises and their mechanisms.The research finds that the internationalization of ESG standards significantly enhances the trade competitiveness of multinational manufacturing enterprises,and this effect is dynamic and sustainable.The mechanism analysis indicates that the internationalization of ESG standards exerts its influence through three pathways:reducing enterprise financing costs,promoting technological innovation,and enhancing brand reputation.The heterogeneity analysis shows that this effect is more significant in enterprises from developed countries,high-pollution industries,and larger enterprises.This paper provides micro-level evidence for understanding the economic consequences of the internationalization of ESG standards and offers policy implications for multinational enterprises to cope with the global ESG rule changes and enhance their trade competitiveness.展开更多

文摘Under the guidance of the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind,international exchanges in basic education have become a key vehicle for deepening mutual learning among civilizations.Schools with distinctive intercultural exchange programs provide important platforms for cultivating students’intercultural understanding and communication skills,while also promoting the internationalization of school education.Yet,existing research tends to highlight the general value of cultural exchange without offering a systematic analysis of how such initiatives are implemented at the school level.This study examines schools with distinctive features of intercultural communication,focusing on their educational objectives,curriculum design,and institutional support.The findings suggest that effective practices integrate cultural diversity into both classroom teaching and extracurricular activities,with institutional frameworks playing a crucial role in ensuring sustainability.This study enriches the theoretical discussion on intercultural education and provides practical guidance for schools seeking to strengthen their programs of cultural exchange.Empirical data show that the annual participation rate of students in international activities reaches 95.83%,with significant enhancement in global competence,providing a practical paradigm for conducting humanities exchanges in basic education in the new era,grounded in curriculum systems,bridged by practical activities,and aimed at cultural integration.
文摘This paper takes global manufacturing listed companies from 2010 to 2022 as samples and uses the difference-in-differences(DID)method to empirically examine the impact of the internationalization of ESG standards on the trade competitiveness of multinational enterprises and their mechanisms.The research finds that the internationalization of ESG standards significantly enhances the trade competitiveness of multinational manufacturing enterprises,and this effect is dynamic and sustainable.The mechanism analysis indicates that the internationalization of ESG standards exerts its influence through three pathways:reducing enterprise financing costs,promoting technological innovation,and enhancing brand reputation.The heterogeneity analysis shows that this effect is more significant in enterprises from developed countries,high-pollution industries,and larger enterprises.This paper provides micro-level evidence for understanding the economic consequences of the internationalization of ESG standards and offers policy implications for multinational enterprises to cope with the global ESG rule changes and enhance their trade competitiveness.
文摘Objective To study the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine,and to offer an insight for the public.Methods Literature review,data retrieval and systematic analysis were used to elaborate and summarize the influence of changes in related classification and policy reform of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)registration on its inheritance and innovation.The study was carried out in the context of the TCM registration related classification and policy reform and evolution on TCM inheritance and innovation.Results and Conclusion TCM registration plays an important role in the inheritance and innovation of TCM,which greatly influences on its inheritance and innovation.The reform of new registration classification respects the law of TCM research and development,reflecting the establishment of the review and approval system in line with the characteristics of TCM inheritance,which promotes the research and development of new drugs.The establishment of the review and approval system also accelerates the marketing transformation of new traditional Chinese medicine.TCM innovation should attach importance to clinical value orientation and improve the scientific connotation of TCM.Meanwhile,the advantage of China’s accession to ICH,PIC/S and other international drug certification organizations should be taken to speed up the construction of international mutual recognition of TCM standardization system,which can provide a broader path for the inheritance and innovation of TCM in the new era.
文摘The protection system for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)varieties,as an important policy tool to promote the development of TCM,has a long history of over 30 years,from the promulgation of the“Regulations on the Protection of Traditional Chinese Medicine Varieties”in 1992 to the comprehensive revision of the draft for soliciting opinions in 2022.The TCM protection system evolves to meet the needs of innovative development of TCM.This paper reviews the policy developments in TCM varieties protection,collates protection data(1993 to 2024),and analyzes enterprises application strategies amid impending regulatory changes.

文摘Faced with unprecedented changes in the world,China has chosen to continue expanding its opening-up and actively cooperate with other countries.Internationalization of education is one of the important directions for the future development of universities.Since the reform and opening-up,a series of Sino-foreign cooperative education policies have been successively released,forming a relatively systematic and complete policy system.Under the promotion of policies,Chinese universities actively engage in Sino-foreign cooperative education,with increasingly frequent educational exchanges and a clear trend towards internationalization.The scale of Sino-foreign cooperative education is also constantly expanding.It is worthy to explore how to draw on advanced teaching experience from overseas,continue to promote Sino-foreign cooperative education,and improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education.
文摘In recent years,the establishment and continuous promotion of the Hainan Free Trade Port has made its strategic position increasingly prominent.In order to cope with the opportunities and challenges brought by the free trade port,the demand for high-quality practitioners in Hainan Free Trade Port is imminent.As a highly open free trade port in the world,Singapore has promoted the rapid improvement of national strength by promoting the international development of vocational education,which provides important enlightenment for the research on the development path of the internationalization of vocational education in Hainan Free Trade Port.This study uses case analysis and comparative analysis to analyze the successful experience of the internationalization of vocational education in Singapore,clarify the current situation and shortcomings of Hainan Free Trade Port in the internationalization of vocational education,and suggest feasible development paths from four aspects:institutional environment,teaching system,teachers,and cooperation mode.
文摘With the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Zone(FTZ),the internationalization of English education has become a key element of the region’s educational reform efforts.As globalization intensifies,fostering an internationalized English education system is crucial for improving the competitiveness and global positioning of the Hainan FTZ.This study explores the multiple pathways and strategies for promoting the internationalization of English education in the Hainan FTZ,focusing on aspects such as policy support,curriculum reform,teacher training,international collaboration,and the effective allocation of educational resources.By examining the current state of English education in the region,identifying key challenges,and drawing insights from successful domestic and international cases-particularly from free trade zones elsewhere-this paper offers actionable recommendations.These suggestions aim to enhance the region’s educational outcomes,thereby bolstering the Hainan FTZ’s broader objectives of economic growth and enhanced global connectivity.The proposed strategies also seek to elevate the international stature of the Hainan FTZ as a regional hub for talent development,international exchange,and soft power enhancement.
