However, the current quality standard research lacks top-level design and systematic ...An effective quality control system is the key to ensuring the quality, safety and efficacy of traditional Chinese medicines(TCMs). However, the current quality standard research lacks top-level design and systematic design,mostly based on specific technologies or evaluation methods. To resolve the challenges and questions of quality control of TCMs, a brand-new quality standard system, named "iVarious", was proposed. The system comprises eight elements in a modular format. Meaning of every element was specifically illustrated via corresponding research instances. Furthermore, frankincense study was taken as an example for demonstrating standards and research process, based on the "i Various" system. This system highlighted a holistic strategy for effectiveness,security, integrity and systematization of quality and safety control standards of TCMs. The establishment of"i Various" integrates multi-disciplinary technologies and progressive methods, basis elements and key points of standard construction. Whole-person care and holistic care approach has been proposed for complementary and integrative health care for type 2 diabetes mellitus.However,some doubts still exist on the feasibility of replicating processes fol...Whole-person care and holistic care approach has been proposed for complementary and integrative health care for type 2 diabetes mellitus.However,some doubts still exist on the feasibility of replicating processes followed in clinical trials and observational studies in real-world settings.This narrative literature review summarized and assessed existing clinical evidence(clinical trials,observational studies,and case reports)describing holistic and integrated care approach in adult and adolescent individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus in clinical practice.The goal was to highlight existing evidence for implementation and outcomes of whole-medical systems and holistic integrated care approach for type 2 diabetes mellitus.A nonsystematic literature search was performed on Google Scholar,PubMed,Web of Science,ProQuest and ScienceDirect to identify clinical evidence from different parts of the world,evaluating the use of whole-medical systems and/or holistic care interventions in clinical practice for management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Relevant keywords were used in the search.Data were analyzed using content analysis and simple descriptive statistics(percentages).Most of the studies(64%)were mainly conducted in Eastern countries(India,China and Israel)while 36%of the studies were conducted in the Western countries(USA,Netherlands,Canada and Mexico).Lifestyle medicine and integrated naturopathy were shown to be the commonly used whole-medical systems for type 2 diabetes mellitus management.Significant improvements in type 2 diabetes parameters,medication use,other symptoms,and overall feeling of wellness were observed in all studies.This review study revealed limited utilization and/or documentation of whole-medical systems or holistic care treatments for type 2 diabetes mellitus in regions of the world other than eastern countries.Lifestyle medicine,naturopathy,yoga,Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine were shown to be effective for type 2 diabetes mellitus,either as an alternative or as a complementary therapy.展开更多

In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and...In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and cameras,often caused by environmental factors.This issue has spurred the need for advanced data processing methods to achieve more accurate gesture recognition and predictions.Our study presents a novel virtual keyboard allowing character input via distinct hand gestures,focusing on two key aspects:hand gesture recognition and character input mechanisms.We developed a novel model with LSTM and fully connected layers for enhanced sequential data processing and hand gesture recognition.We also integrated CNN,max-pooling,and dropout layers for improved spatial feature extraction.This model architecture processes both temporal and spatial aspects of hand gestures,using LSTM to extract complex patterns from frame sequences for a comprehensive understanding of input data.Our unique dataset,essential for training the model,includes 1,662 landmarks from dynamic hand gestures,33 postures,and 468 face landmarks,all captured in real-time using advanced pose estimation.The model demonstrated high accuracy,achieving 98.52%in hand gesture recognition and over 97%in character input across different scenarios.Its excellent performance in real-time testing underlines its practicality and effectiveness,marking a significant advancement in enhancing human-device interactions in the digital age.展开更多
BACKGROUND Study showed that systemic holistic care not only aids in disease treatment and physical recovery to a certain extent but also effectively enhances patient psychological well-being,social support,and overal...BACKGROUND Study showed that systemic holistic care not only aids in disease treatment and physical recovery to a certain extent but also effectively enhances patient psychological well-being,social support,and overall quality of life(QoL).AIM To assess systematic holistic care impact on the recovery and well-being of postoperative patients with colon cancer.METHODS Our randomized controlled trial included 98 postoperative patients with colon cancer admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to June 2022.Patients were divided into control and study groups.The control group received conventional postoperative nursing care,whereas the study group received systematic holistic nursing care.We monitored gastrointestinal function recovery,and recorded changes in serum albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),psychological state,selfmanagement,self-efficacy,QoL,and the occurrence of complications in patients before,at discharge,and 2 wk post-discharge.Spearman analysis assessed correlations between psychological state,self-management,self-efficacy,and QoL of patients in the study group 2 wk post-discharge.RESULTS Following the nursing intervention,we observed significantly shorter postoperative bowel sound recovery time,anal exhaust time,and defecation time in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).Patient ALB and PA levels,psychological status,self-management ability,self-efficacy and QoL at discharge and 2 wk post-discharge significantly improved,with greater improvements observed in the study group(P<0.05).Both groups experienced complications post-interventions,but the intervention group had significantly lower complication rate(3/49,6.12%)(P<0.05).In the study group,patient anxiety,depression,self-management and QoL scores at 2 wk post-discharge exhibited a significant negative correlation(3/49,6.12%)with QoL scores,with correlation coefficients of r=-0.273,-0.522,-0.344,and P<0.01,respectively.Conversely,patient self-efficacy scores 2 wk postdischarge showed a positive correlation with QoL scores(r=0.410,P=0.000).CONCLUSION Systemic holistic nursing significantly benefits postoperative patients with colon cancer by promoting gastrointestinal recovery,improving post-operation well-being,reducing complications,and enhancing QoL.展开更多

Methods: 80 patients with convalescent schizophrenia who were treated in the psychiatric department of our hospital were divided into the reference group (40 cases of conventional nursing) and the experimental group (40 cases of systematic holistic nursing) according to different nursing modes. The recovery of rehabilitation status (MRSS score), social function (SDSS score) and daily life self-care ability (ALD score) of the two groups were compared. Results: before the intervention, the MRSS, SDSS and ALD scores of the two groups were compared (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the MRSS score and SDSS score of the experimental group were lower than those of the reference group (P < 0.05). The ALD score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion: systematic holistic nursing care for patients with schizophrenia in rehabilitation period can effectively improve their disease symptoms, improve the rehabilitation effect, and improve their social function and daily living ability, which is worthy of recommendation.展开更多
Objective:To analyze the application effect of hierarchical group responsibility system of holistic nursing in Department of Gastroenterology.Methods:655 patients in our hospital from August 2020 to January 2021 were ...Objective:To analyze the application effect of hierarchical group responsibility system of holistic nursing in Department of Gastroenterology.Methods:655 patients in our hospital from August 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects.They were randomly divided into experimental group(328 cases)and control group(327 cases)to explore nursing satisfaction,nursing quality score and clinical symptoms before and after nursing.Results:In the experimental group,266 cases(81.10%)were very satisfied,33 cases(10.06%)were satisfied and 29 cases(8.84%)were dissatisfied.The total number of satisfied cases(very satisfied+satisfied)was 299 cases(91.16%);In the control group,167 cases(51.07%)were very satisfied,63 cases(19.27%)were satisfied,97 cases(29.66%)were dissatisfied,and 230 cases(70.34%)were satisfied.The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group;The nursing quality score of the experimental group was(91.67±0.66),and that of the control group was(71.66±0.88),which was significantly higher than that of the control group;The clinical symptom score of the experimental group was(2.42±0.32),and that of the control group was(4.66±1.11),which was significantly better than that of the control group.Conclusion:The application of hierarchical group responsibility holistic nursing mode in gastroenterology department can not only improve the nursing satisfaction of patients,but also improve the quality of nursing,promote the good development of patients'condition,and provide a comfortable treatment environment for patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.展开更多
BACKGROUND Given their responsibility for the well-being of individuals,nurses with advanced mental health literacy,along with strong holistic nursing competencies and professional self-efficacy,are better equipped to...BACKGROUND Given their responsibility for the well-being of individuals,nurses with advanced mental health literacy,along with strong holistic nursing competencies and professional self-efficacy,are better equipped to assess both the mental and physical health of their patients,leading to the provision of holistic nursing care.AIM To investigate the relationship between nurses’mental health literacy levels and their holistic nursing competencies,as well as their nursing professional selfefficacy.METHODS This study is cross-sectional,correlational research.The study sample consisted of a total of 261 volunteer nurses working in a training and research hospital and a state hospital between March 11,2024 and April 8,2024.Data were collected face to face with the“Descriptive Data Form”,“Mental Health Literacy Scale(MHLS)”,“Holistic Nursing Competence Scale(HNCS)”,and the“Nursing Profession Self-Efficacy Scale(NPSES)”.RESULTS The mean scale scores for the nurses were as follows:MHLS:95.88±11.67;HNCS:179.46±33.82;NPSES:64.79±11.24.A low-level positive correlation was found between the total scores of the MHLS,HNCS,and NPSES,and a moderate-level positive correlation was observed between the total scores of the HNCS and NPSES.These correlations were statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION It is recommended that initiatives be undertaken to enhance the mental health literacy and holistic nursing competencies of nurses and that similar studies be conducted with nurses in different institutions and with a larger number of nurses.展开更多

文摘Whole-person care and holistic care approach has been proposed for complementary and integrative health care for type 2 diabetes mellitus.However,some doubts still exist on the feasibility of replicating processes followed in clinical trials and observational studies in real-world settings.This narrative literature review summarized and assessed existing clinical evidence(clinical trials,observational studies,and case reports)describing holistic and integrated care approach in adult and adolescent individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus in clinical practice.The goal was to highlight existing evidence for implementation and outcomes of whole-medical systems and holistic integrated care approach for type 2 diabetes mellitus.A nonsystematic literature search was performed on Google Scholar,PubMed,Web of Science,ProQuest and ScienceDirect to identify clinical evidence from different parts of the world,evaluating the use of whole-medical systems and/or holistic care interventions in clinical practice for management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.Relevant keywords were used in the search.Data were analyzed using content analysis and simple descriptive statistics(percentages).Most of the studies(64%)were mainly conducted in Eastern countries(India,China and Israel)while 36%of the studies were conducted in the Western countries(USA,Netherlands,Canada and Mexico).Lifestyle medicine and integrated naturopathy were shown to be the commonly used whole-medical systems for type 2 diabetes mellitus management.Significant improvements in type 2 diabetes parameters,medication use,other symptoms,and overall feeling of wellness were observed in all studies.This review study revealed limited utilization and/or documentation of whole-medical systems or holistic care treatments for type 2 diabetes mellitus in regions of the world other than eastern countries.Lifestyle medicine,naturopathy,yoga,Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine were shown to be effective for type 2 diabetes mellitus,either as an alternative or as a complementary therapy.
文摘This research of study continues personal research and professional practice in the Alternative Medicine (AM) has become an attractive and a popular issue between academicians and researchers in the last decades. AM is mostly used by individuals to support or to substitute the medical treatment. The studies from different disciplines have shown that the AM use is expanding all over the world but the popularity and the types of its use remain unclear. A qualitative study was conducted by treating a patient through several kinds of AM, receiving positive feedback from the patient. The overall data shows very good improvement since the AM becomes one of their parts of life to continue surviving on this earth with lots of challenges. Herbalist and vitamin supplements are the most popular and commonly used alternative medicine methods. Most people had used alternative medicine to improve their health conditions, thus eliminating the side effects of modern treatments. To supersede and recover or heal this chronic symptom, a combination of AM will be great to encounter it such as cancer, psoriasis, epilepsy, viral fever, etc. A combination of Ganotherapy and Knowledge of Holistic Human System enhances the AM era into battling these chronic cases and creates a powerful immune system to protect against it.
文摘In the digital age,non-touch communication technologies are reshaping human-device interactions and raising security concerns.A major challenge in current technology is the misinterpretation of gestures by sensors and cameras,often caused by environmental factors.This issue has spurred the need for advanced data processing methods to achieve more accurate gesture recognition and predictions.Our study presents a novel virtual keyboard allowing character input via distinct hand gestures,focusing on two key aspects:hand gesture recognition and character input mechanisms.We developed a novel model with LSTM and fully connected layers for enhanced sequential data processing and hand gesture recognition.We also integrated CNN,max-pooling,and dropout layers for improved spatial feature extraction.This model architecture processes both temporal and spatial aspects of hand gestures,using LSTM to extract complex patterns from frame sequences for a comprehensive understanding of input data.Our unique dataset,essential for training the model,includes 1,662 landmarks from dynamic hand gestures,33 postures,and 468 face landmarks,all captured in real-time using advanced pose estimation.The model demonstrated high accuracy,achieving 98.52%in hand gesture recognition and over 97%in character input across different scenarios.Its excellent performance in real-time testing underlines its practicality and effectiveness,marking a significant advancement in enhancing human-device interactions in the digital age.
文摘BACKGROUND Study showed that systemic holistic care not only aids in disease treatment and physical recovery to a certain extent but also effectively enhances patient psychological well-being,social support,and overall quality of life(QoL).AIM To assess systematic holistic care impact on the recovery and well-being of postoperative patients with colon cancer.METHODS Our randomized controlled trial included 98 postoperative patients with colon cancer admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to June 2022.Patients were divided into control and study groups.The control group received conventional postoperative nursing care,whereas the study group received systematic holistic nursing care.We monitored gastrointestinal function recovery,and recorded changes in serum albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA),psychological state,selfmanagement,self-efficacy,QoL,and the occurrence of complications in patients before,at discharge,and 2 wk post-discharge.Spearman analysis assessed correlations between psychological state,self-management,self-efficacy,and QoL of patients in the study group 2 wk post-discharge.RESULTS Following the nursing intervention,we observed significantly shorter postoperative bowel sound recovery time,anal exhaust time,and defecation time in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).Patient ALB and PA levels,psychological status,self-management ability,self-efficacy and QoL at discharge and 2 wk post-discharge significantly improved,with greater improvements observed in the study group(P<0.05).Both groups experienced complications post-interventions,but the intervention group had significantly lower complication rate(3/49,6.12%)(P<0.05).In the study group,patient anxiety,depression,self-management and QoL scores at 2 wk post-discharge exhibited a significant negative correlation(3/49,6.12%)with QoL scores,with correlation coefficients of r=-0.273,-0.522,-0.344,and P<0.01,respectively.Conversely,patient self-efficacy scores 2 wk postdischarge showed a positive correlation with QoL scores(r=0.410,P=0.000).CONCLUSION Systemic holistic nursing significantly benefits postoperative patients with colon cancer by promoting gastrointestinal recovery,improving post-operation well-being,reducing complications,and enhancing QoL.

文摘Pharmacy is an important subfield of the medical sciences,and its development is inseparable from pharmacy education.Pharmacy education outputs indispensable professionals and expertise for the healthcare industry,promotes the development of pharmacy skills,and supports the development of the pharmaceutical and health sectors.To this end,many insightful studies have been carried out to promote the development and progress of pharmacy education.These studies have been published in high-quality pharmacy education journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection(WoSCC),and the two journals with the largest number of published articles are the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Currents in Pharmacy Teaching and Learning.The 200 most-cited papers historically in these two journals have a significant impact on the research paradigm and future directions in the field of pharmacy education.Therefore,this paper summarizes the knowledge domains of these 200 papers and uses the scientometric method to study their basic information,authorship distribution,citation performance,publishing paradigm and hotspot mining.The era of Holistic Integrative Pharmacy(HIP),in which the focus has shifted from isolated pharmacological interventions to more collaborative,patient-centered,and interdisciplinary approaches,underscores the importance of evolving educational methodologies.In this context,understanding the scientometric trends in pharmacy education becomes even more crucial.This study aims to explore the current development status of pharmacy education,develop more innovative and effective educational models,and promote the widespread application of HIP in pharmacy education.The goal is to enhance the overall quality of pharmacy education and provide guidance and insights for the future development of pharmacy education.
文摘Objective: to analyze the effect of systematic holistic nursing in psychiatric department on the life ability of patients with schizophrenia in rehabilitation period. Methods: 80 patients with convalescent schizophrenia who were treated in the psychiatric department of our hospital were divided into the reference group (40 cases of conventional nursing) and the experimental group (40 cases of systematic holistic nursing) according to different nursing modes. The recovery of rehabilitation status (MRSS score), social function (SDSS score) and daily life self-care ability (ALD score) of the two groups were compared. Results: before the intervention, the MRSS, SDSS and ALD scores of the two groups were compared (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the MRSS score and SDSS score of the experimental group were lower than those of the reference group (P < 0.05). The ALD score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the reference group (P<0.05). Conclusion: systematic holistic nursing care for patients with schizophrenia in rehabilitation period can effectively improve their disease symptoms, improve the rehabilitation effect, and improve their social function and daily living ability, which is worthy of recommendation.
文摘Objective:To analyze the application effect of hierarchical group responsibility system of holistic nursing in Department of Gastroenterology.Methods:655 patients in our hospital from August 2020 to January 2021 were selected as the research objects.They were randomly divided into experimental group(328 cases)and control group(327 cases)to explore nursing satisfaction,nursing quality score and clinical symptoms before and after nursing.Results:In the experimental group,266 cases(81.10%)were very satisfied,33 cases(10.06%)were satisfied and 29 cases(8.84%)were dissatisfied.The total number of satisfied cases(very satisfied+satisfied)was 299 cases(91.16%);In the control group,167 cases(51.07%)were very satisfied,63 cases(19.27%)were satisfied,97 cases(29.66%)were dissatisfied,and 230 cases(70.34%)were satisfied.The nursing satisfaction of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group;The nursing quality score of the experimental group was(91.67±0.66),and that of the control group was(71.66±0.88),which was significantly higher than that of the control group;The clinical symptom score of the experimental group was(2.42±0.32),and that of the control group was(4.66±1.11),which was significantly better than that of the control group.Conclusion:The application of hierarchical group responsibility holistic nursing mode in gastroenterology department can not only improve the nursing satisfaction of patients,but also improve the quality of nursing,promote the good development of patients'condition,and provide a comfortable treatment environment for patients,which is worthy of clinical promotion.
文摘BACKGROUND Given their responsibility for the well-being of individuals,nurses with advanced mental health literacy,along with strong holistic nursing competencies and professional self-efficacy,are better equipped to assess both the mental and physical health of their patients,leading to the provision of holistic nursing care.AIM To investigate the relationship between nurses’mental health literacy levels and their holistic nursing competencies,as well as their nursing professional selfefficacy.METHODS This study is cross-sectional,correlational research.The study sample consisted of a total of 261 volunteer nurses working in a training and research hospital and a state hospital between March 11,2024 and April 8,2024.Data were collected face to face with the“Descriptive Data Form”,“Mental Health Literacy Scale(MHLS)”,“Holistic Nursing Competence Scale(HNCS)”,and the“Nursing Profession Self-Efficacy Scale(NPSES)”.RESULTS The mean scale scores for the nurses were as follows:MHLS:95.88±11.67;HNCS:179.46±33.82;NPSES:64.79±11.24.A low-level positive correlation was found between the total scores of the MHLS,HNCS,and NPSES,and a moderate-level positive correlation was observed between the total scores of the HNCS and NPSES.These correlations were statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION It is recommended that initiatives be undertaken to enhance the mental health literacy and holistic nursing competencies of nurses and that similar studies be conducted with nurses in different institutions and with a larger number of nurses.
文摘The aim of this article is to present my interpretation of the holistic-phenomenological worldview in practice.This study demonstrates how this approach,as well as the planning process that I followed(a process fundamentally different from conventional ones)was implemented in a residential neighborhood I designed and built in the social,economic,and physical structure of the collective known in Israel as a‘kibbutz’.The intention is to raise a broad public discussion and pose a challenge to 21st-century architecture regarding how to intervene in a moral and human way within an existing environment,urban or natural,which must be respected and preserved,when integrating within it a new contemporary architecture.
文摘Narrative nursing(NN)is emerging as a critical approach in modern healthcare,addressing the complex interplay between psychological well-being and physical recovery.This manuscript discusses a study on NN and its role in alleviating psychological distress in patients with acute pancreatitis,published in the World Journal of Psychiatry.Their research demonstrates that NN,through structured storytelling,significantly reduces anxiety and depression,thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and fostering emotional resilience.This therapeutic approach extends beyond symptom management,offering a comprehensive strategy that supports the mental and emotional recovery of patients facing severe health challenges.NN provides a unique framework for engaging patients in their care journey,promoting a sense of agency,and strengthening the patient-provider relationship.In this manuscript,we explore the broader implications of NN by synthesizing findings from various studies,showing that NN is effective not only in acute settings but also in oncology,chronic illness management,and palliative care.The evidence indicates that integrating NN into standard clinical practice could enhance healthcare outcomes by addressing the holistic needs of patients,supporting psychological resilience,and fostering a compassionate healthcare environment.
文摘The aim of this article is to present a unique interpretation of the holistic worldview,both in theory and in practice.It explores how this approach,along with a planning process fundamentally different from conventional methods,was implemented in the design and construction of the Music Center and Library in the city of Tel Aviv.This process forms a coherent representation of a complete worldview:a humanistic,holistic worldview developed and adopted through more than five decades of architectural practice across all scales of design.In this approach,a building is not regarded as a collection of isolated design elements,but as one hierarchical language,in which the building,its interior,and its ornamented details down to the handle of the door is one continuous system.Within this system,the building,its interior spaces,and even the smallest ornamental details,down to the door handles,are conceived as parts of a single,continuous whole.This worldview aligns with contemporary scientific discourse in fields such as cosmology,neurobiology,psychology,complexity theory,and Buddhist philosophy,disciplines with which this body of work is closely associated.
