Compared with complementary metal–oxide semiconductor(CMOS), the resonant tunneling device(RTD) has better performances; it is the most promising candidate for next-generation integrated circuit devices. The universal logic gate is an important unit circuit because of its powerful logic function, but there are few function synthesis algorithms that can implement an n-variable logical function by RTD-based universal logic gates. In this paper, we propose a new concept, i.e., the truth value matrix. With it a novel disjunctive decomposition algorithm can be used to decompose an arbitrary n-variable logical function into three-variable subset functions. On this basis, a novel function synthesis algorithm is proposed, which can implement arbitrary n-variable logical functions by RTD-based universal threshold logic gates(UTLGs), RTD-based three-variable XOR gates(XOR3s), and RTD-based three-variable universal logic gate(ULG3s). When this proposed function synthesis algorithm is used to implement an n-variable logical function, if the function is a directly disjunctive decomposition one, the circuit structure will be very simple, and if the function is a non-directly disjunctive decomposition one, the circuit structure will be simpler than when using only UTLGs or ULG3s. The proposed function synthesis algorithm is straightforward to program, and with this algorithm it is convenient to implement an arbitrary n-variable logical function by RTD-based universal logic gates. 展开更多

The use of living, alkyllithium-initiated anionic polymerization to prepare chain-end functionalized polymers and heteroarm, star-branched polymers is discussed. The scope and limitations of specific termination reactions with a variety of electrophilic species are illustrated for carbonation, hydroxyethylation, amination, and sulfonation. The methodology of using substituted 1,1-diphenylethylenes to provide a general, quantitative functionalization procedure is outlined and illustrated with examples of amine and phenol end-functionalization. A methodology is described for the synthesis of functionalized, star-branched copolymers with compositionally heterogeneous arms of controlled molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution using 1, 3-bis(1-pbenylethenyl) benzene. 展开更多

Magnesium alloys are an ideal material for biodegradable vascular stents,which can be completely absorbed in the human body,and have good biosafety and mechanical properties.However,the rapid corrosion rate and excessive localized corrosion,as well as challenges in the preparation and processing of microtubes for stents,are restricting the clinical application of magnesium-based vascular stents.In the present work we will give an overview of the recent progresses on biodegradable magnesium based vascular stents including magnesium alloy design,high-precision microtubes processing,stent shape optimisation and functional coating preparation.In particular,the Triune Principle in biodegradable magnesium alloy design is proposed based on our research experience,which requires three key aspects to be considered when designing new biodegradable magnesium alloys for vascular stents application,i.e.biocompatibility and biosafety,mechanical properties,and biodegradation.This review hopes to inspire the future studies on the design and development of biodegradable magnesium alloy-based vascular stents. 展开更多
