In this context, we have implemented a ten year run of the Brazilian Earth System Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Model (BESM-OA2.3) integrated with TOPAZ biogeochemical model for the Atlantic basin. The modeled ΔpCO2 for the tropical Atlantic shows very clearly a high dominance of positive fluxes, that is, the CO2 fluxes are sea-to-air throughout the tropical region and for both winter and summer periods. In the mid-latitudes regions negatives fluxes (air-to-sea) were observed for both seasons. An exception to this pattern is an extensive negative tongue on the latitude 10N. The occurrence of this negative ΔpCO2 tongue region in the Tropical Atlantic is highly correlated to negative Evaporation-Precipitation values during this season. In the northern hemisphere (NH) summer the negative values of ΔpCO2 in the tropical Atlantic region are concentrated in the adjacent zone of the Amazon river mouth due to the North Equatorial Counter Current intensification. This process favors the formation of a carbon sink in the adjacent region of the Amazon river mouth. Model results show lowest values of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) in a surface layer (100 - 150 m). Highest DIC values are observed in deeper layers and concentrated in an equatorial band. The chlorophyll bloom in equatorial zones was well represented by the model. These blooms are the result of equatorial upwelling that brings the high concentration tongues of DIC present in the equatorial band towards the euphotic zone. This is the first published paper about the BESM-OA2.3 integrated with TOPAZ. The presented results suggest that this modeling system is able to reproduce the main regional carbon dynamics features of the mid-latitude/tropical Atlantic.展开更多

However, the accuracy of the statistics-based debris flow forecast is unsatisfied while the mechanism-based forecast is unavailable at the watershed scale because most of existing researches on the initiation mechanism of debris flow took a single slope as the main object. In order to solve this problem, this paper developed a model of debris flow forecast based on the water-soil coupling mechanism at the watershed scale. In this model, the runoff and the instable soil caused by the rainfall in a watershed is estimated by the distrib- uted hydrological model (GBHM) and an instable identification model of the unsaturated soil. Because the debris flow is a special fluid composed of soil and water and has a bigger density, the density esti- mated by the runoff and instable soil mass in a watershed under the action of a rainfall is employed as a key factor to identify the formation probability of debris flow in the forecast model. The Jiangjia Gulley, a typical debris flow valley with a several debris flow events each year, is selected as a case study watershed to test this forecast model of debris flow. According the observation data of Dongchuan Debris Flow Observation and Research Station, CAS located in Jiangjia Gulley, there were 4 debris flow events in 2006. The test results show that the accuracy of the model is satisfied.展开更多

The proposed model abandons the traditional concept of elastic-plastic yield surface and can better reflect the real behavior of rolled control concrete. Basic equations were proposed for the fluid-solid coupling analysis, and the relationships among the corresponding key physical parameters were also put forward. One three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) program was obtained by studying the FEM type of the seepage-stress coupling intersection of the RCCD. The method was applied to an actual project, and the results show that the fluid-solid interaction influences dam deformation and dam abutment stability, which is in accordance with practice. Therefore, this model provides a new method for revealing the mechanical behavior of RCCD under the coupling field.展开更多

In our study, a truss spar platform, operated in Gulf of Mexico, is numerically simulated and analyzed by an in-house numerical code 'COUPLE'. Both the platform motion responses and associated mooring line tension are calculated and investigated through a time domain nonlinear coupled dynamic analysis. Satisfactory agreement between the simulation and corresponding field measurements is in general reached, indicating that the numerical code can be used to conduct the time-domain analysis of a truss spar interacting with its mooting and riser system. Based on the comparison between linear and nonlinear results, the relative importance of nonlinearity in predicting the platform motion response and mooring line tensions is assessed and presented. Through the coupled and quasi-static analysis, the importance of the dynamic coupling effect between the platform hull and the mooting/riser system in predicting the mooting line tension and platform motions is quantified. These results may provide essential information pertaining to facilitate the numerical simulation and design of the large scale offshore structures.展开更多

The present study constructed the 2023Cross-City Patient Mobility Network in China using one million patient mobility data records obtained from online healthcare platforms. We applied urban network analysis to uncover mobility patterns and used the coupling coordination degree model to assess healthcare supply-demand relationships before and after patient mobility. Explainable machine learning further revealed the impact of supply-demand coupling on patient mobility. The results indicated the following: Patient mobility followed administrative boundaries, although megacities serve areas beyond provincial borders; The scale of healthcare supply and demand displayed a multi-centric spatial pattern with a general decline from east to west, and these characteristics of demand distribution were further solidified by patient mobility;Cities with low supply-demand coupling and undersupply experienced patient outflows, while cities with high coupling and oversupply attracted them. In turn, patient mobility helped balance healthcare supply and demand, optimising the coupling relationship across cities. Thus, this research not only provides a methodological reference for understanding the interaction between patient mobility and healthcare systems but also offers empirical insights for public health policy.展开更多

The Xu-Needleman exponential cohesive law with the fully shear failure mechanism is one of the most popular models. Based on the proposed consistently coupled rule/principle, the Xu-Needleman law with the fully shear failure mechanism is proved to be a non-consistently coupled cohesive law by analyzing the surface separation work. It is shown that the Xu-Needleman law is only valid in the mixed mode fracture when the normal separation work equals the tangential separation work. Based on the consistently coupled principle and the modification of the Xu-Needleman law, a consistently coupled cohesive (CCC) law is given. It is shown that the proposed CCC law has already overcome the non-consistency defect of the Xu-Needleman law with great promise in mixed mode analyses.展开更多

To simulate the temperature and thermal stress distributions in the solidification process of 2101 duplex stainless steel produced by the vertical continuous caster, a two-dimensional viscoelastic-plastic thermomechanically coupled finite element model was established by the secondary development of the commercial nonlinear finite element analysis software MSC Marc. The results show that the thermal stress on the surface reaches a maximum at the exit of the mould, and the highest thermal stresses at the centre of the wide face and the narrow face are 75 and 115 MPa, respectively. Meanwhile, the internal temperature of slab is still higher than the solidus temperature, resulting in no thermal stress. The slab shows different high-temperature strengths and suffers from different stresses at different positions; thus, the risk of cracking also varies. At a location of 6-8 m from the meniscus, the temperature of the triangular zone is 1270-1360℃ and the corresponding permissible high-temperature strength is about 10-30 MPa, while the thermal stress at this time is 60 MPa, which is higher than the high-temperature strength. As a result, triangular zone cracks form easily.展开更多

However, traditional wave equation-based simulation methods have to consider complex boundary conditions at the fluid-solid interface. To address this challenge, we propose a novel numerical scheme that integrates the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM) and lattice spring model(LSM). In this scheme, LBM simulates viscoacoustic wave propagation in the fluid area and LSM simulates elastic wave propagation in the solid area. We also introduce three different LBM-LSM coupling strategies, a standard bounce back scheme, a specular reflection scheme, and a hybrid scheme, to describe wave propagation across fluid-solid boundaries. To demonstrate the accuracy of these LBM-LSM coupling schemes, we simulate wave propagation in a two-layer model containing a fluid-solid interface. We place excitation sources in the fluid layer and the solid layer respectively, to observe the wave phenomena when seismic waves propagate to interface from different sides. The simulated results by LBM-LSM are compared with the reference wavefields obtained by the finite difference method(FDM) and the analytical solution(ANA).Our LBM-LSM coupling scheme was verified effective, as the relative errors between the LBM-LSM solutions and reference solutions were within an acceptable range, sometimes around 1.00%. The coupled LBM-LSM scheme is further used to model seismic wavefields across a more realistic rugged seabed, which reveals the potential applications of the coupled LBM-LSM scheme in marine seismic imaging techniques, such as reverse-time migration and full-waveform inversion. The method also has potential applications in simulating wave propagation in complex two-and multi-phase media.展开更多

The test results show that the accuracy of the model is satisfied.

文摘According to the characteristics of thin-layer rolling and pouting construction technology and the complicated mechanical behavior of the roller compacted concrete dam (RCCD) construction interface, a constitutive model of endochronic damage was established based on the endochronic theory and damage mechanics. Therefore, this model provides a new method for revealing the mechanical behavior of RCCD under the coupling field.
文摘Accurate prediction of the offshore structure motion response and associate mooring line tension is important in both technical applications and scientific research. These results may provide essential information pertaining to facilitate the numerical simulation and design of the large scale offshore structures.

文摘The dynamic characteristics of a single liquid-filled pipe have been broadly studied in the previous literature. The parallel liquid-filled pipe(PLFP)system is also widely used in engineering, and its structure is more complex than that of a single pipe. However, there are few reports about the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs.Therefore, this paper proposes improved frequency modeling and solution for the PLFPs,involving the logical alignment principle and coupled matrix processing. The established model incorporates both the fluid-structure interaction(FSI)and the structural coupling of the PLFPs.The validity of the established model is verified by modal experiments. The effects of some unique parameters on the dynamic characteristics of the PLFPs are discussed. This work provides a feasible method for solving the FSI of multiple pipes in parallel and potential theoretical guidance for the dynamic analysis of the PLFPs in engineering.

文摘Energy storage batteries can smooth the volatility of renewable energy sources. The operating conditions during power grid integration of renewable energy can affect the performance and failure risk of battery energy storage system(BESS).However, the current modeling of grid-connected BESS is overly simplistic, typically only considering state of charge(SOC)and power constraints.Detailed lithium(Li)-ion battery cell models are computationally intensive and impractical for real-time applications and may not be suitable for power grid operating conditions.Additionally, there is a lack of real-time batteries risk assessment frameworks. To address these issues,in this study,we establish a thermal-electric-performance(TEP)coupling model based on a multitime scale BESS model, incorporating the electrical and thermal characteristics of Li-ion batteries along with their performance degradation to achieve detailed simulation of grid-connected BESS.Additionally, considering the operating characteristics of energy storage batteries and electrical and thermal abuse factors,we developed a battery pack operational riskmodel, which takes into account SOCand charge-discharge rate(Cr),using amodified failure rate to represent the BESS risk.By integrating detailed simulation of energy storage with predictive failure risk analysis,we obtained a detailed model for BESS risk analysis. This model offers a multi-time scale integrated simulation that spans month-level energy storage simulation times,day-level performance degradation, minutescale failure rate, and second-level BESS characteristics. It offers a critical tool for the study of BESS.Finally, the performance and risk of energy storage batteries under three scenarios—microgrid energy storage, wind power smoothing, and power grid failure response—are simulated, achieving a real-time state-dependent operational risk analysis of the BESS.

文摘Malignant ureteral obstruction may lead to renal function damage, renal colic, and infection. The impact of obstructive development on ureteral peristalsis was rarely studied, which requires further investigation. This study used theoretical biomechanical methods to study the motion characteristics of the ureteral wall and obtained the radial motion equation of the ureteral wall. The motion equation was solved by 4-5th order Runge Kutta method.Analyze the motion equation of the ureteral wall, derive the expression for malignant obstructive ureteral pressure,as well as the analytical expressions for radial displacement and circumferential stress of the ureteral wall.By analyzing the radial motion equation of the ureter,it can be found that peristalsis is influenced by the pressure difference between inside and outside. The analytical solutions for radial displacement and stress contained exponential terms.Under the condition of 50%obstruction,the displacement and stress of the ureter were reduced by 90.53%and 81.10%,respectively.This study established the radial motion equation of the ureter and provided analytical solutions for the radial displacement and stress of the obstructed ureter.Based on the radial motion equation of the ureter, the radial motion characteristics of the ureteral wall were explored, including peristalsis and disappearance of peristalsis. This study provided a quantitative relationship between ureteral obstruction and peristalsis. As the degree of obstruction increased, ureteral peristalsis gradually weakened or even disappeared.

文摘The uneven distribution of medical resources has led to increasingly frequent patient mobility;however, the interaction between this phenomenon and the healthcare supply-demand relationship remains underexplored. Thus, this research not only provides a methodological reference for understanding the interaction between patient mobility and healthcare systems but also offers empirical insights for public health policy.

文摘In this paper, the Taixin Integrated Economic Zone in Shanxi Province is taken as the research object, and the coupling coordination degree model and bivariate spatial autocorrelation model are used to judge the coupling coordination and spatial-temporal correlation between urbanization and ecosystem service, and the hotspot analysis is used to judge the spatial-temporal trend of urbanization and ecosystem service. The results show that:(1)The urbanization level from 2000 to 2020 continued to rise, the areas with relatively high urbanization were concentrated in the central part of the study area, and the relatively high terrain areas on both sides of the study area, the urbanization was relatively slow, and the hotspot areas with highly significant and significant urbanization level from 2000 to 2020 were distributed as bands in the central part of the study area and the area was rising, and there was no Cold spot area distribution;between 2000 and 2020,the ecosystem service value in the study area increased by 2.6800×10^(8) yuan.Over these two decades,it exhibited a development trend that first rose and then declined. The woodland and grassland agglomeration areas were located on the two sides of the study area, forming highly significant and significant hotspots.Conversely, the central and northeastern parts of the study area were characterized by concentrated man-made land surfaces and croplands, resulting in the formation of highly significant and significant cold spots.(2)In the central part of the study area where man-made land surface and cultivated land are concentrated, the coupling coordination between urbanization and ecosystem service is in the intermediate dislocation and mild dislocation interval;the woodland and grassland concentration areas on both sides of the study area are ecologically fragile, and the coupling coordination between the two is in the level of less than intermediate dislocation.(3)From 2000 to 2020,urbanization and the value of ecosystem services were both negatively correlated, although the correlation coefficient was low.In the central and northeastern parts, urbanization and ecosystem service exhibited patterns of high-low,high-high,and low-low clustering.Conversely,on both sides of the study area, most of the clusters showed a low-high pattern.
文摘Oxidative coupling of methane(OCM)is a catalytic partial oxidation process that directly converts methane into C_(2) products. For this high temperature reaction, understanding the radical behavior through experimental investigation is important in correlating the catalytic activity and the products. In this work,a spatial resolution online mass spectrometry(MS)system was developed and applied to a Mn-Na_(2)WO_(4)/SiO_(2) catalyzed OCM system. In addition to the residue gas analysis, the system obtained the distribution information of the reactants and products in the reactor. At various setting temperatures, all species online MS signals were collected at different positions, mapping the reaction activity covering parameters including temperature, time and space. The distribution behavior of the catalytic activity, selectivity, and apparent activation energy were kinetically analyzed.Selectivity and additional carbon balance analysis strongly supported the radical coupling model of OCM and indicated that after the catalytic bed layer, there is a significant length in the reactor(>2 mm)filled with radicals.Based on the result,a designed new method by tuning the temperature field in the reactor was found effectively to improve the catalytic activity, especially the C_(2) yield from 702 to 773℃.

文摘An appropriate coupled cohesive law for predicting the mixed mode failure is established by combining normal separation and tangential separation of surfaces in the cohesive zone model (CZM) and the cohesive element method. It is shown that the proposed CCC law has already overcome the non-consistency defect of the Xu-Needleman law with great promise in mixed mode analyses.
文摘The triangular zone cracks in 2101 duplex stainless steel produced by the vertical continuous caster have troubled company A for a long time. As a result, triangular zone cracks form easily.

文摘Seismic wave propagation in fluid-solid coupled media is currently a popular topic. The method also has potential applications in simulating wave propagation in complex two-and multi-phase media.

文摘The arresting process of carrier-based aircraft is widely recognized as a challenging task, characterized by the highest accident rate among all carrier-based aircraft operations.Dynamic simulation plays a crucial role in assessing the intricate responses of the arresting process, favoring the design of carrier-based aircraft. An efficient and accurate rigid-flexible coupling model for analyzing the dynamic response of the arresting process is proposed.By combining the dynamic characteristics of airframe, landing gear, arresting hook and arresting gear system, the rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model is established to reflect the relative motion of the coupling parts and arresting load. The dynamic model is verified through simulations of landing gear landing drops and by comparing the arresting simulation results with corresponding data in the US military standard.Additionally, simulations of the arresting process under different off-center distance and aircraft yaw angle are conducted to obtain the dynamic response of the aircraft during the arresting process. The result indicates that the rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model proposed is effective for analyzing the arresting dynamics response of carrier-based aircraft. The axial force of the arresting cable on both sides of the hook engagement point, pitch and yaw angle of aircraft are inconsistent under yaw and off-center arresting. The analysis method and obtained results provide valuable references for assessing the dynamic responses of carrier-based aircraft during arresting process and offer valuable in-sights in the design of carrier-based aircraft.
