Since the 13th Five-Year Plan,Sinopec has been thoroughly carrying out the new energy security strategy of“four revolutions and one cooperation”and the spirit of the important instruction of“powerful promotion of p...Since the 13th Five-Year Plan,Sinopec has been thoroughly carrying out the new energy security strategy of“four revolutions and one cooperation”and the spirit of the important instruction of“powerful promotion of petroleum exploration and development”.Focusing on strategic breakthrough and large-scale reserve increase,the petroleum exploration enhances the theoretical and technological innovation and highlights high-quality exploration battles,so that a series of important petroleum exploration achievements have been gained.In order to accelerate and promote the development of Sinopec's natural gas business,this paper forecasts Sinopec's exploration direction and development potential of natural gas in the future after comprehensively sorting out the achievements and theoretical and technological progresses of natural gas exploration since the 13th Five-Year Plan.And the following research results are obtained.First,since the 13th Five-Year plan,Sinopec has been persisting in the strategic deployment of“balancing marine and continental facies and focusing conventional and unconventional resources”.According to the idea of“extending marine conventional gas,strengthening marine shale gas and optimizing continental tight gas”,Sinopec innovatively develops the hydrocarbon accumulation theory of marine shale gas in southern China,marine carbonate rock in central-western China and tight clastic rock in central-western China.Second,by virtue of researches,a 3D seismic exploration technology with reservoir identification and description as the basis and sweet spot prediction as the core is developed,and several support equipment and tools are integrated,such as deep and ultra-deep drilling and completion,acid fracturing testing,long horizontal well fracturing and high power electric fracturing,and drillable composite bridge plug.Third,a series of natural gas exploration achievements are obtained in three major fields of marine shale,marine carbonate rock and continental tight clastic rock,and new proven natural gas reserves of 1.0068×1012 m3 is achieved,which provides Sinopec with high-quality resource guarantee for the fast increase of natural gas production.Fourth,looking forward,there are abundant natural gas resource bases in Sinopec's licenses,and the main development directions of its natural gas exploration are marine carbonate rock in central-western China,tight clastic rock and shale in central-western China,marine deep clastic rock,and deep clastic rock and igneous rock in the mature areas of eastern China.In conclusion,Sinopec's new proven natural gas reserves during the 14th Five-Year Plan is predicted to be 1.16×10^(12)-1.36×10^(12) m^(3),which can provide a solid resources base for the great development of natural gas in China.展开更多
Based on the recent oil and gas discoveries and geological understandings on the ultra-deep strata of sedimentary basins, the formation and occurrence of hydrocarbons in the ultra-deep strata were investigated with re...Based on the recent oil and gas discoveries and geological understandings on the ultra-deep strata of sedimentary basins, the formation and occurrence of hydrocarbons in the ultra-deep strata were investigated with respect to the processes of basin formation, hydrocarbon generation, reservoir formation and hydrocarbon accumulation, and key issues in ultra-deep oil and gas exploration were discussed. The ultra-deep strata in China underwent two extensional-convergent cycles in the Meso-Neoproterozoic Era and the Early Paleozoic Era respectively, with the tectonic-sedimentary differentiation producing the spatially adjacent source-reservoir assemblages. There are diverse large-scale carbonate reservoirs such as mound-beach, dolomite, karst fracture-vug, fractured karst and faulted zone, as well as over-pressured clastic rock and fractured bedrock reservoirs. Hydrocarbons were accumulated in multiple stages, accompanied by adjusting and finalizing in the late stage. The distribution of hydrocarbons is controlled by high-energy beach zone, regional unconformity, paleo-high and large-scale fault zone. The ultra-deep strata endow oil and gas resources as 33% of the remaining total resources, suggesting an important successive domain for hydrocarbon development in China. The large-scale pool-forming geologic units and giant hydrocarbon enrichment zones in ultra-deep strata are key and promising prospects for delivering successive discoveries. There are abundant marine shale gas resources in the Sichuan Basin.After almost one decade of exploration and development,three national shale gas demonstration areas have been built in the Sichuan Basin and its perip...There are abundant marine shale gas resources in the Sichuan Basin.After almost one decade of exploration and development,three national shale gas demonstration areas have been built in the Sichuan Basin and its periphery,and large-scale commercial development of middle and deep(above 3500 m in depth)shale gas has been successfully achieved.The volume of deep shale gas resources(3500e4500 m deep)of the upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation-lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the southern Sichuan Basin is 6.61012 m3,with huge exploration and exploitation potential,so it is an important area for large-scale shale gas production increase in China during the 14th Five-year Plan.Deep shale gas in the southern Sichuan Basin is influenced by complex geological engineering conditions,such as great burial depth,high temperature and pressure,and large stress and stress difference,and its high-quality development faces many challenges.After systematically summarizing the new progresses and achievements in deep shale gas exploration and development in the southern Sichuan Basin,this paper analyzes the difficulties and challenges in deep shale gas exploration and development and puts forward the next research directions.And the following research results are obtained.First,based on early practical exploration and independent innovation,key shale gas exploration and development technologies with good area selection,good well deployment,good well drilling,good well fracturing and good well management as the core are formed,and the cultivation mode of high production well is established,which supports the large-scale benefit development of deep shale gas in the southern Sichuan Basin.Second,systematical analysis indicates that the exploration and development of deep shale gas still faces a series of challenges in such three major fields as basic theory,key technology and management mode.Third,in the face of challenges,it is necessary to deepen basic theory research related to exploration and development,continuously improve key main technologies and constantly innovate mechanisms,systems and management modes.In conclusion,after years of continuous researches and pilot tests,a series of main exploration and development technologies suitable for the working conditions of deep shale gas in the southern Sichuan Basin have been basically formed,the first deep shale gas reserves of trillion cubic meters has been submitted,and the first deep shale gas production increase block of ten billion cubic meters has been selected.Thus,great progresses have been made in the exploration and development of deep shale gas,which confirms the confidence and determination in exploring and developing deep shale gas and is of great guiding significance to the rapid development of shale gas industry in China.展开更多
