Although a key tenant of the Sustainable Development Goals is to achieve universal health coverage, the global drug gap persists-cver a third of the global population lack access to essential medicines.Without access to affordable drugs, people have worse health outcomes, higher medical expenses, and productivity loss, pushing them into poverty.Health technology assessments(HTAs)offer an opportunity to decrease the global drug gap and increase access to essential medicines by overcoming barriers to medicine access. These barriers include drug procurement, drug affordability for payers and patients,a patienfs ability to obtain essential medicines, and health system capacity.Using HTAs can therefore close the global drug gap by increasing access to affordable essential medicines. In turn, people have better health outcomes, spend less money on medical care, and can have better productivity.Ultimately, use of HTAs can lift the population out of poverty and force fewer people into poverty by creating better health outcomes at affordable prices. 展开更多

The concept of an intelligent control system for a complex nonlinear biomechanical system of an extension cableless robotic unicycle discussed.A thermodynamic approach to study optimal control processes in complex nonlinear dynamic systems applied. The results of stochastic simulation of a fuzzy intelligent control system for various types of external/internal excitations for a dynamic, globally unstable control object-extension cableless robotic unicycle based on Soft Computing(Computational Intelligence Toolkit-SCOptKBTM)technology presented.A new approach to design an intelligent control system based on the principle of the minimum entropy production(minimum of useful resource losses)determination in the movement of the control object and the control system is developed. This determination as a fitness function in the genetic algorithm is used to achieve robust control of a robotic unicycle. An algorithm for entropy production computing and representation of their relationship with the Lyapunov function(a measure of stochastic robust stability)described. 展开更多

The equilibrium and kinetic characteristics of the adsorption of erythromycin to Sepabeads SP825 were determined. The equilibrium data in a batch system was well described by a Langmuir isotherm. The separation performance was investigated in a fixed-bed system with respect to the adsorption superficial velocity, ionic strength and pH.A mathematical model was used to simulate the mass transfer mechanism, taking film mass transfer, pore diffusion and axial dispersion into account. The model predictions were consistent with the experi-mental data and were consequently used to determine the mass transfer coefficients. 展开更多
关键词 fixed-bed adsorption superficial velocity ionic strength erythromycin However investigations on the parameters governing the performance of this technology are still scarce. In the present work a polymeric and porous resin Sepabeads SP825 resin was used for its higher adsorption efficiency compared with the resins reported. The equilib-rium capacity of Sepabeads SP825 for EM in a batch system was established using a Langmuir isotherm. The effects of superficial velocity ionic strength and pH on the adsorption process were determined from the results of fixed bed experiments. And a model of the purification process was used to simulate the mass transfer mechanism which has taken film mass transfer pore diffusion and axial dispersion into account. The experimental adsorp-tion measurements were compared to the results calcu-lated from the model. The completion of these studies provide some essential parameters which are required in order to design a successful purification process and better understand the fundamentals of these process.
