Therefore, based on ecological constraints, a beneficial discussion would be about the key ecological function areas adopting the concept of ecological protection restriction and supporting socioeconomic development for spatial function zoning. In this paper, the researchers, taking Tacheng Basin, Xinjiang of China as an example, choose township as basic research unit and set up an evaluation index system from three aspects, namely, ecological protection suitability, agricultural production suitability, and urban development suitability, which are analyzed by using spatial analysis functions and exclusive matrix method. The results showed that: 1) This paper formed a set of multilevel evaluation index systems for three types of spatial function zoning of the key ecological function areas based on a novel perspective by scientifically dividing Tacheng Basin into ecological space, agricultural space, and urban space, which realized the integration and scientific orientation for spatial function at the township scale. 2) Under the guidance of three types of spatial pattern, the functional orientation and suggestions of development and protection was clearly defined for ecological protection zones, ecological economic zones, agricultural production zones, and urban development zones. 3) A new idea of space governance is provided to promote the coordinated and sustainable development between ecology and economy, which can break the traditional mode of thinking about regional economic development, and offers a scientific basis and reference for macro decision-making.展开更多

The quantitative and diversity changes and metabolic responses of soil-bacterial communities in common dandelion (Taraxacum officinale), jerusalem artichoke (Silphiurn perfoliatum L.) and evening primrose (A colypha australis L.) rhizospheric soils were thus examined using the method of carbon source utilization. The results indicated that there were various toxic effects of crude oil residues on the growth and reproduction of soil bacteria, but the weed rhizospheres could mitigate the toxic effects. Total heterotrophic counting colony-forming units (CFUs) in the rhizospheric soils were significantly higher than those in the non-rhizospheric soils. The culturable soil-bacterial CFUs in the jerusalem artichoke (S. perfoliatum) rhizosphere polluted with 0.50 kg/pot of crude oil residues were almost twice as much as those with 0.25 kg/pot and without the addition of crude oil residues. The addition of crude oil residues increased the difference in substrate evenness, substrate richness, and substrate diversity between non-rhizospheric and rhizospheric soils of T. officinale and A. australis, but there was no significant (p〉0.05) difference in the Shannon's diversity index between non-rhizospheric and rhizospheric soils of S. perfoliatum. The rhizospheric response of weed species to crude oil residues suggested that S. perfoliatum may be a potential weed species for the effective plant-microorganism bioremediation of contaminated soils by crude oil residues.展开更多

Reconstruction of ecological shelter zones of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River became one of the most important tasks of Western Development strategy. This article, taking Zhaotong as an example, studies the functional regionalization of ecological shelter zones. The study supplies a case for functional regionalization of small and medium regions whose main tasks are environment reservation. With the guidance of theories of functional regionalization, and based on the analysis of Zhaotong's natural, ecological and socioeconomic factors, the paper suggests five principles for factors selection. These principles include: (1) reversing order evaluation; (2) selecting main factors; (3) keeping the integrality of administrative regions of towns; and (4) making the products acceptable by local government. To analyze spatial status of selected factors, LUCC data in 2002, 1:50,000 relief maps and town-unit socioeconomic statistical data in 2004 are used. RS and GIS tools are also applied to melt traditional and modern geographical methods. This would be useful to functional regionalization research in mountainous areas. As a conclusion, the leading functional regions of ecological conservation or economic development are suggested, respectively. Zhaotong city is divided into two-level functional regions. The first-level includes three leading functional regions and they will lead developing direction of sub-regions. The second-level includes eight sub-regions, which are policy implemented regions, and will supply guidance to Zhaotong's ecological shelter zones reconstruction.展开更多

In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization and unreasonable land development and utilization, the ecological environment has deteriorated sharply, and the stability of ecological environment has always been a difficult problem in the process of regional development. The spatial division of urban ecological function can be divided into different types of spatial utilization according to the fragile state of ecological environment, which not only guarantees urban construction but also maintains the ecological environment health, and has great economic benefits and ecological value in formulating regional development strategies and ecological protection. In this paper, from four perspectives of “land, water, human and forest”, eight factors affecting ecological sensitivity were selected, and GIS spatial superposition method was used to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on the ecological sensitivity of Baoji City, and the evaluation results of single factor ecological sensitivity and comprehensive ecological sensitivity were obtained. The areas with different ecological sensitivity are divided into extremely sensitive areas, highly sensitive areas, moderately sensitive areas, slightly sensitive areas and non-sensitive areas. The research shows that the proportion of extreme, high, moderate, mild and insensitive areas in Baoji City is 7.32%, 10.57%, 22.25%, 42.91% and 16.95% respectively. Finally, the areas with different sensitivity grades are identified as three types of urban ecological function areas: ecological conservation area, ecological coordinated moderate utilization area and ecological suitable construction area, so as to provide scientific theoretical basis for urban construction and land use optimization in Baoji City.展开更多

Social, economic and ecological dimensions for such types of function were analyzed and a concept “integrated ecological service functions” (IESF) was put forward for evaluation. Based upon this conceptual approach, an index system for measuring IESF for urban green space was established. With a methodological integration of fuzzy mathematics, decision making analysis and Delphi method, an AHP fuzzy evaluation techniques for IESF for urban green space, called AFIFUG method, was developed. Such a method has been directly applied to the land use strategic planning of Tianjin out ring green belt(TOGB), and its analysis results have been successfully put into operation.展开更多

文摘Understanding plant community assembly is crucial for effective ecosystem conservation and restoration. The ecological filter framework describes community assembly as a process shaped by dispersal, environmental, and biotic filters.Additionally, functional traits and phylogenetic relationships are increasingly recognized as important factors influencing species coexistence and community structure. However, both the ecological filter framework and the roles of functional traits and phylogeny in community assembly remain underexplored in the Algerian steppes—particularly in the El Bayadh region, where ongoing vegetation degradation threatens ecosystem stability. This study applied Hierarchical Modeling of Species Communities(HMSC)as an integrative approach to assess how ecological filters influence plant community assembly in the El Bayadh steppe and to evaluate the roles of functional traits and phylogenetic relationships in this process.Environmental data—including soil properties, topography, precipitation, and land use types(grazing and exclosure)—were collected across 50 plots in April and October,2023,along with functional traits from 24 species. These traits include root length, leaf area, specific leaf area, clonality, life history, and seed mass.HMSC results revealed that soil properties and precipitation were the primary drivers of community structure, while sand height and elevation had a moderate influence. In contrast, competition and grazing played relatively minor roles.Species responses to environmental covariates were heterogeneous:soil fertility and texture had mixed effects, benefiting some species while limiting others;sand encroachment and precipitation variability generally had negative impacts, whereas grazing exclusion favored many species.A weak phylogenetic signal was recorded, indicating that community assembly was driven more by environmental filtering than by shared evolutionary history.Functional trait responses to environmental variation reflected plant strategies that balanced resource acquisition and conservation.Specifically, seed mass, leaf area, and root length increased under higher soil moisture and nutrient availability but declined in response to salinity, precipitation variability, and sand height.Clonality and perennial life history traits enhanced the survival of plant species under harsh conditions.Overall, this study provides a holistic understanding of community assembly processes in the El Bayadh steppe and offers valuable insights for ecosystem management and restoration in arid and degraded ecosystem environments.

文摘The ecological function of land use is the basis for developing an ecological civilization and realizing sustainable development. This paper may help guide the coordination of economic development and ecological development in China’s coastal border areas.Based on theoretical analysis, this paper studies the spatiotemporal evolution of the functional spaces and the ecological function transitions of land use in the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone(BGEZ)by analyzing patterns, processes, and factors by applying eco-environmental quality index, grid subdivision, kriging interpolation, barycenter model, and Geodetector. This paper constructs a theoretical framework of ecological function transitions of land use based on the research idea of“system-pattern-process-factor”,and carries out empirical research. Some conclusions can be drawn as follows:(1)The ecological space in the BGEZ has continuously decreased, converting mainly into agricultural production space and industrial-mining production space. The production space has expanded slowly. The area of living space in the BGEZ has increased rapidly.(2)The ecological function of land use in the BGEZ has continued to weaken, especially in the southern part of the BGEZ.The“high-sub-high”quality zones of ecological function are retreating to the north.(3)There were more deterioration transition areas than optimization transition areas of ecological function in the BGEZ.The former were mostly located in the central and southern urbanized areas of the BGEZ,whereas the latter were mostly located in the edge zones of district and county units.(4)As for the driving factors of the deterioration transitions of land use ecological function in the BGEZ,the significant trend of“de-ecologization”of the land cover/land use structure was the dominant driving factor;the interactions among the“natural-socioeconomic-managerial”systems were the main recessive factor. The natural system played a fundamental role, and the driving force of natural factors was the strongest. The industrialization, urbanization, and GDP increment in the socioeconomic system and the policy positioning of development intensity in the managerial system played a significant role. The interactions among natural factors, road construction, and industrial non-agricultural transformation had a“fuze”effect on stimulating driving forces.
文摘The effective identification and protection of ecological spaces is a fundamental cornerstone for achieving sustainable development and promoting a green society. It plays an indispensable role in ecological protection, resource management, and environmental governance, and is of great significance for the sustainable development of human society.Rapid and scientific identification of ecological spaces provides a scientific foundation for regional ecological protection planning. In this study,we used survey data from the planning and design of forest resources alongside 2017 Landsat 8 OLI remote sensing image to comprehensively analyze forest ecological service functions and ecological sensitivity using the layer-cake model to identify ecological spaces in Nanjing City. The results show that the area of extremely important forest ecological service function zones in Nanjing was 288.57 km^(2),accounting for 3.47%of the total area of Nanjing. The area of highly sensitive zones in Nanjing was 464.39 km^(2),accounting for 7.05%.Considering both forest ecological service functions and sensitivity, the area of core ecological spaces in Nanjing was 692.86 km^(2),accounting for 10.52%of the total area, and the main land use types were woodland and waters. The area of transitional ecological space in Nanjing was the largest, reaching 3150.29 km^(2),accounting for 47.83%of Nanjing s total area. This study provides valuable insights for optimizing the layout of ecological spaces and serves as a reference for related research efforts.

文摘Three types of spatial function zoning is an effective measure for regional environmental protection and orderly development. For ecological and economic coordinated development, spatial function zones should be divided scientifically to clear its direction of development and protection. 3) A new idea of space governance is provided to promote the coordinated and sustainable development between ecology and economy, which can break the traditional mode of thinking about regional economic development, and offers a scientific basis and reference for macro decision-making.

文摘Ecological effects of crude oil residues on weed rhizospheres are still vague. The rhizospheric response of weed species to crude oil residues suggested that S. perfoliatum may be a potential weed species for the effective plant-microorganism bioremediation of contaminated soils by crude oil residues.

文摘Ecological shelter zones reconstruction is an ecosystem restoration and conservation project aimed to the ecological safety of nations, regions and basins. The second-level includes eight sub-regions, which are policy implemented regions, and will supply guidance to Zhaotong's ecological shelter zones reconstruction.

文摘Since the 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, ecological civilization has been the key construction goal in China, which has a profound impact on the process of urbanization. Finally, the areas with different sensitivity grades are identified as three types of urban ecological function areas: ecological conservation area, ecological coordinated moderate utilization area and ecological suitable construction area, so as to provide scientific theoretical basis for urban construction and land use optimization in Baoji City.

文摘This methodological investigation deals with measurement and valuation of ecological service functions for urban green space. Such a method has been directly applied to the land use strategic planning of Tianjin out ring green belt(TOGB), and its analysis results have been successfully put into operation.
