This paper focuses on the delay-dependent stability and added damping of SDOF systems in RTDHT. The exponential delay term is transferred into a rational fraction by the Pad6 approximation, and the delay-dependent stability conditions and instability mechanism of SDOF RTDHT systems are investigated by the root locus technique. First, the stability conditions are discussed separately for the cases of stiffness, mass, and damping experimental substructure. The use of root locus plots shows that the added damping effect and instability mechanism for mass are different from those for stiffness. For the stiffness experimental substructure case, the instability results from the inherent mode because of an obvious negative damping effect of the delay. For the mass case, the delay introduces an equivalent positive damping into the inherent mode, and instability occurs at an added high frequency mode. Then, the compound stability condition is investigated for a general case and the results show that the mass ratio may have both upper and lower limits to remain stable. Finally, a high-emulational virtual shaking table model is built to validate the stability conclusions.展开更多

The analysis of the FE numerical substructure is split into response analysis and signal generation tasks, and executed in two different target computers in real-time. One target computer implements the response analysis task, wherein a large time-step is used to solve the FE substructure, and another target computer implements the signal generation task, wherein an interpolation program is used to generate control signals in a small time-step to meet the input demand of the controller. By using this strategy, the scale of the FE numerical substructure simulation may be increased significantly. The proposed scheme is initially verified by two FE numerical substructure models with 98 and 1240 degrees of freedom (DOFs). Thereafter, RTDHTs of a single frame-foundation structure are implemented where the foundation, considered as the numerical substructure, is simulated by the FE model with 1240 DOFs. Good agreements between the results of the RTDHT and those from the FE analysis in ABAQUS are obtained.展开更多

The H atom starts to leave the Cl atom and is reflected by the C60 wall. The coherent nuclear dynamic behaviors of bond breakage and recombination of the HCl molecule occurring in both polarized parallel and perpendicular to the H-Cl bond axis are investigated. The radial oscillation is also found in the two polarization directions of the laser pulse. The relaxation time of the H-Cl bond lengths in transverse polarization is slow in comparison with that in longitudinal polarization. Those results are important for studying the dynamics of the chemical bond at an atomic level.展开更多

An efficient and accurate dynamic interaction numerical model in the time domain has become an important topic of current research. In this study, the scaled boundary finite element method (SBFEM) is improved for use as an effective numerical approach with good application prospects. This method has several advantages, including dimensionality reduction, accuracy of the radial analytical solution, and unlike other boundary element methods, it does not require a fundamental solution. This study focuses on establishing a high performance scaled boundary finite element interaction analysis model in the time domain based on the acceleration unit-impulse response matrix, in which several new solution techniques, such as a dimensionless method to solve the interaction force, are applied to improve the numerical stability of the actual soil parameters and reduce the amount of calculation. However, little is known about whether the functions of the hip abductor and rear-foot increase dynamic knee valgus. A two-dimensional(2D) video-based screening test focused on hip abductor and rear-foot functions among factors involved in dynamic knee valgus. The present study determined associations between hip and rear-foot dynamic alignment and dynamic knee valgus. Methods: This cross-sectional study recruited 130 female basketball players(258 legs) from nine high-school teams. The players performed single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings to provide knee-in(KID) and hip-out(HOD) distances on 2D video images. Hip and rear-foot dynamic alignment was evaluated using a dynamic Trendelenburg test(DTT) and a dynamic heel-floor test(HFT).Results: The Chi-square test revealed no significant difference in the prevalence of DTT-positivity between single-leg squats(28.7%) and singleleg drop landings(23.3%). The prevalence of HFT-positivity was significantly greater during landings(51.4%) than during single-leg squats(31.0%, p 〈 0.01). The KID values for both single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings were greater in the DTT-positive than in the DTTnegative group(15.1 5.4 cm and 20.2 7.5 cm, p 〈 0.001). The HOD values were similarly greater in the DTT-positive group(15.2 1.9 cm and 17.6 2.8 cm, p 〈 0.001). The KID values for both single-leg squats and single-leg drop landings were greater in the HFT-positive than in the HFT-negative group(12.2 5.1 cm, p 〈 0.01; 14.7 7.2 cm, p 〈 0.001), whereas HOD values for these tasks did not significantly differ between the two groups. Conclusion: Dynamic hip mal-alignment might be associated with both greater KID and HOD, whereas rear-foot eversion is associated only with greater KID. Hip abductor and rear-foot dysfunction are important factors for dynamic knee valgus and thus evaluating DTT and HFT will help to prevent dynamic knee valgus.展开更多

But the standard SVM cannot deal with length-variable vectors, which is one severe obstacle for its applications to some important areas, such as speech recognition and part-of-speech tagging. The paper proposed a novel SVM with discriminative dynamic time alignment ( DDTA - SVM) to solve this problem. When training DDTA - SVM classifier, according to the category information of the training sampies, different time alignment strategies were adopted to manipulate them in the kernel functions, which contributed to great improvement for training speed and generalization capability of the classifier. Since the alignment operator was embedded in kernel functions, the training algorithms of standard SVM were still compatible in DDTA- SVM. In order to increase the reliability of the classification, a new classification algorithm was suggested. The preliminary experimental results on Chinese confusable syllables speech classification task show that DDTA- SVM obtains faster convergence speed and better classification performance than dynamic time alignment kernel SVM ( DTAK - SVM). Moreover, DDTA - SVM also gives higher classification precision compared to the conventional HMM. This proves that the proposed method is effective, especially for confusable length - variable pattern classification tasks展开更多

Using the Nussbaum function properties, the unknown control directions are dealt with. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, the unknown upper bound functions of the time-varying delay uncertainties are compensated. The proposed control scheme does not need to calculate the integral of the delayed state functions. Using Young's inequality and RBFNNs, the assumption of unmodeled dynamics is relaxed. By theoretical analysis, the closed-loop control system is proved to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded.展开更多

Compared with the previ-ous works, our results have less conservativeness. Furthermore, based on the state partition of continuous and resetting parts of system, a hybrid feedback controller is constructed, which stabi-lizes the closed-loop systems in finite time. Two-degree of freedom(DOF)nonlinear dynamic models for the time-varying coefficients describing the transverse vibration of the deploying laminate under the combined actions of a first-order aerodynamic force and piezoelectric excitation were obtained by selecting a suitable time-dependent modal function satisfying the displacement boundary conditions and applying second-order discretization using the Galerkin method. Using a numerical method, the time history curves of the deploying laminate were obtained, and its nonlinear dynamic characteristics, including extension speed and different piezoelectric excitations, were studied. The results suggest that the piezoelectric excitation has a clear effect on the change of the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of such piezoelectric laminated composite plates. The nonlinear vibration of the deploying cantilevered laminate can be effectively suppressed by choosing a suitable voltage and polarity.展开更多

A potential high-resolution method for the aforementioned purpose lies in the full-waveform inversion(FWI) of time-lapse seismic data. However, practical applications of FWI are severely restricted by the well-known cycle-skipping problem. A new time-lapse FWI method using cross-correlation-based dynamic time warping(CDTW) is proposed to detect changes in the subsurface property due to carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) injection and address the aforementioned issue. The proposed method, namely CDTW, which combines the advantages of cross-correlation and dynamic time warping, is employed in the automatic estimation of the discrepancy between the seismic signals simulated using the baseline/initial model and those acquired. The proposed FWI method can then back-project the estimated discrepancy to the subsurface space domain, thereby facilitating retrieval of the induced subsurface property change by taking the difference between the inverted baseline and monitor models. Numerical results on pairs of signals prove that CDTW can obtain reliable shifts under amplitude modulation and noise contamination conditions. The performance of CDTW substantially outperforms that of the conventional dynamic time warping method. The proposed time-lapse fullwaveform inversion(FWI) method is applied to the Frio-2 CO_(2) storage model. The baseline and monitor models are inverted from the corresponding time-lapse seismic data. The changes in velocity due to CO_(2) injection are reconstructed by the difference between the baseline and the monitor models.展开更多

The solutions are derived using a time-domain Green’s function method that leads to an exact analytical recursive procedure which is applicable for a wide variety of boundary conditions including nonlinear cases. A nonlinear damper boundary condition is considered in more detail. The corresponding nonlinear relationship between stresses and velocities at a current time moment is used in the recursive procedure. In addition to the exact recursive procedure that is effective for calculations, some new practically important explicit exact solutions are presented. Several examples of the time behavior of the output electric potential difference are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed exact approach.展开更多

文摘In the past several years, support vector machines (SVM) have achieved a huge success in many fields, especially in pattern recognition. This proves that the proposed method is effective, especially for confusable length - variable pattern classification tasks

文摘In this paper, adaptive neural tracking control is proposed based on radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) for a class of muki-input multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with completely unknown control directions, unknown dynamic disturbances, unmodeled dynamics, and uncertainties with time-varying delay. By theoretical analysis, the closed-loop control system is proved to be semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded.

文摘Static disorder plays a crucial role in the electronic dynamics and spec-troscopy of complex molecular sys-tems.Traditionally,obtaining ob-servables averaged over static disor-der requires thousands of realiza-tions via direct sampling of the dis-order distribution, leading to high computational costs. In this work,we extend the auxiliary degree-of-freedom based matrix product state(MPS)method to handle system-bath correlated thermal equilibrium initial states, which can capture static disorder effects using a one-shot quantum dynamical simulation. We validate the effectiveness of the extended method by computing the dipole-dipole time correlation function of the Holstein model relevant to the emission spectrum of molecular aggregates. Our results show that the one-shot method is very accu-rate with only a moderate increase in MPS bond dimension, thereby significantly reducing computational cost. Moreover,it enables the generation of a much larger number of samples than the conventional direct sampling method at negligible additional cost, thus reducing sta-tistical errors. This method provides a broadly useful tool for calculating equilibrium time cor-relation functions in system-bath coupled models with static disorder.

文摘Finite time stability and stabilization are studied for hy-brid dynamic systems. By combining multiple Lyapunov function and finite time Lyapunov function, a sufficient condition of finite time stability is given for the system. Compared with the previ-ous works, our results have less conservativeness. Furthermore, based on the state partition of continuous and resetting parts of system, a hybrid feedback controller is constructed, which stabi-lizes the closed-loop systems in finite time. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the pro-posed method.

文摘Using Reddy’s high-order shear theory for laminated plates and Hamilton’s principle, a nonlinear partial differential equation for the dynamics of a deploying cantilevered piezoelectric laminated composite plate, under the combined action of aerodynamic load and piezoelectric excitation, is introduced. The nonlinear vibration of the deploying cantilevered laminate can be effectively suppressed by choosing a suitable voltage and polarity.

文摘Ab initio modeling of dynamic structure factors(DSF)and related density response properties in the warm dense matter(WDM)regime is a challenging computational task. The DSF,convolved with a probing X-ray beam and instrument function,is measured in X-ray Thom-son scattering(XRTS)experiments, which allow the study of electronic structure properties at the microscopic level.Among the various ab initio methods,linear-response time-dependent density-functional theory(LR-TDDFT)is a key framework for simulating the DSF.The standard approach in LR-TDDFT for computing the DSF relies on the orbital representation.A significant drawback of this method is the unfavorable scaling of the number of required empty bands as the wavenumber increases, making LR-TDDFT impractical for modeling XRTS measurements over large energy scales, such as in backward scattering geometry. In this work,we consider and test an alternative approach to LR-TDDFT that employs the Liouville–Lanczos(LL)method for simulating the DSF of WDM.This approach does not require empty states and allows the DSF at large momentum transfer values and over a broad frequency range to be accessed. We compare the results obtained from the LL method with those from the solution of Dyson’s equation using the standard LR-TDDFT within the projector augmented-wave formalism for isochorically heated aluminum and warm dense hydrogen.Additionally,we utilize exact path integral Monte Carlo results for the imaginary-time density-density correlation function(ITCF)of warm dense hydrogen to rigorously benchmark the LL approach. We discuss the application of the LL method for calculating DSFs and ITCFs at different wavenumbers, the effects of pseudopotentials, and the role of Lorentzian smearing. The successful validation of the LL method under WDM conditions makes it a valuable addition to the ab initio simulation landscape, supporting experimental efforts and advancing WDM theory.
文摘In this study, the impulsive predator-prey dynamic systems on time scales calculus are studied. When the system has periodic solution is investigated, and three different conditions have been found, which are necessary for the periodic solution of the predator-prey dynamic systems with Beddington-DeAngelis type functional response. For this study the main tools are time scales calculus and coincidence degree theory. Also the findings are beneficial for continuous case, discrete case and the unification of both these cases. Additionally, unification of continuous and discrete case is a good example for the modeling of the life cycle of insects.
文摘Isomorphism of the two-state system is heuristic in understanding the dynamical or statistical behavior of the simplest yet most quantum system that has no classical counterpart. We use the constraint phase space developed in J.Chem.Phys.145,204105(2016);151,024105(2019);J.Phys.Chem.Lett.12,2496(2021),non-covariant phase space functions,time-dependent weight functions, and time-dependent normalization factors to construct a novel class of phase space representations of the exact population dynamics of the two-state quantum system. The equations of motion of the trajectory on constraint phase space are isomorphic to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The contribution of each trajectory to the integral expression for the population dynamics is always positive semi-definite.We also prove that the triangle window function approach, albeit proposed as a heuristic empirical model in J.Chem.Phys.145,144108(2016),is related to a special case of the novel class and leads to an isomorphic representation of the exact population dynamics of the two-state quantum system.
文摘Offshore carbon capture, utilization, and storage(OCCUS) is regarded as a crucial technology for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.Quantitative monitoring maps of sealed carbon dioxide are necessary in a comprehensive OCCUS project. The changes in velocity due to CO_(2) injection are reconstructed by the difference between the baseline and the monitor models.
文摘Novel exact solutions of one-dimensional transient dynamic piezoelectric problems for thickness polarized layers and disks, or length polarized rods, are obtained. Several examples of the time behavior of the output electric potential difference are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed exact approach.
