In this paper, the stability of iterative learning control with data dropouts is discussed. By the super vector formulation, an iterative learning control (ILC) system with data dropouts can be modeled as an asynchronous dynamical system with rate constraints on events in the iteration domain. The stability condition is provided in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIS) depending on the stability of asynchronous dynamical systems. The analysis is supported by simulations. 展开更多

This paper proposed a feedback feedforward Iterative Learning Control(ILC)law for nonlinear system with iteratively variable trial lengths under a networked systems structure,where the both sensor and actuator occurs random data lost separately.The feedforward ILC part includes the calculated input signal,actual input signal,and the modified tracking error of last iteration.Some tracking signal would be lost at last iteration because of the iterative varying trial lengths.In order to offset the missing signal of last trial,the tracking error of present trial is adopted by feedback control part.It is established that the convergence relied on the feedforward control gain merely,while the rate of convergence is also expedited by the feedback control component.When the initial state expectation equals to the reference one,it is established that the tracking error expectation can be controlled to zero.With an illustrative simulation,the effectiveness of the developed algorithm can be demonstrated. 展开更多

Based on the Lyapunov approach, sufficient conditions for the mean-square stability of the networked control system are derived subject that the sequence of transmission interval is driven by an identically independently distributed sequence and by a finite state Markov chain, respectively. Focusing on the networked control system with long time-delays and data packet dropout,the problem of observerbased fault detection of the system is studied.According to conditions of data arrival of the controller,the state observers of the system are designed to detect faults when they occur in the system.When the system is normal,the observers system is modeled as an uncertain switched system.Based on the model,stability condition of the whole system is given.When conditions are satisfied,the system is asymptotically stable.When a fault occurs,the observers residual can change rapidly to detect the fault.A numerical example shows the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

In this paper, the stabilization problem for a class of networked control systems (NCSs) with data packet dropouts and transmission time delays is considered, where the delays are time-varying and uncertain, the data packet dropout is modeled as a two-state Markov chain. To compensate the lost packet, a data packet dropout compensator is established. Thus a more realistic model for such NCSs is presented. Sufficient conditions for the stabilization of the new resulting system are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Numerical example illustrates the solvability and effectiveness of the results. 展开更多

Stabilization conditions involving the size of coding alphabet, the sampling period, system state growth rate and data packet dropout rate are obtained. This paper conducts a survey on iterative learn-ing control(ILC)with incomplete information and associated control system design,which is a frontier of the ILC field.The incomplete information,including passive and active types,can cause data loss or fragment due to various factors.Passive incomplete information refers to incomplete data and information caused by practical system limitations during data collection,storage,transmission,and processing,such as data dropouts,delays,disordering,and limited transmission bandwidth.Active incomplete information refers to incomplete data and information caused by man-made reduction of data quantity and quality on the premise that the given objective is satisfied,such as sampling and quantization.This survey emphasizes two aspects:the first one is how to guarantee good learning performance and tracking performance with passive incomplete data,and the second is how to balance the control performance index and data demand by active means.The promising research directions along this topic are also addressed,where data robustness is highly emphasized.This survey is expected to improve understanding of the restrictive relationship and trade-off between incomplete data and tracking performance,quantitatively,and promote further developments of ILC theory. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of network-induced delay and data dropout in networked control system, an improved fuzzy controller is proposed in this paper. Considering the great influence of a controller on the performance of control system, an improved controller with a second order fuzzy controller and network-induced delay compensator being added to the basic fuzzy controller is proposed to realize self-regulation on-line. For this type of controller, neither plant model nor measurement of network delay is required. So it is capable of automatically adjusting quantified factor, pro- portional factor, and integral factor according to the control system error and its derivative. The design makes full use of the advantages of quickness in operation and reduction of steady state error because of its integral function. The con- troller has a good control effect on time-delay and can keep a better performance by self-regulation on-line in the net- work with data dropout and interference. It is good in quickness, adaptability, and robustness, which is favorable for controlling the long time-delay system. 展开更多

This paper investigates the issue of stabilization for discrete-time dynamical systems(DDS)by event-triggered impulsive control(ETIC). Based on some relatively simple threshold constants, three levels of event conditions are set and thus the ETIC scheme is designed. Three cases for ETIC with and without time-delays and data dropouts are studied respectively, and the criteria on exponential stability are derived for the controlled DDS. The stabilization in the form of exponential stability is achieved for DDS under the designed ETIC with or without time-delays. And in the case of the ETIC data dropouts, the conditions of exponential stabilization are derived for DDS and the maximal allowable dropout rates for ETIC are estimated. Finally, one example with numerical simulations is worked out for illustration. 展开更多
