文摘Dysphagia,a prevalent condition affecting over 30%of the elderly, significantly elevates malnutrition risks due to impaired swallowing and insufficient nutrient intake. This study aimed to develop plant-based,3D-printed dysphagia diets using pea protein isolate(PPI)combined with quinoa to enhance essential amino acid profiles, complemented by hydrocolloid—xanthan gum(XG),carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC),and agar—for tailored texture modulation.Eight ink formulations were evaluated based on molecular interactions, rheological behavior,3 D printing performance, and compliance with International Dysphagia Diet S tandardization Initiative(IDDSI)standards.Synergistic effects of XG and CMC in Ink-C optimized shear-thinning properties and structural stability, enabling high-precision printing of self-supporting constructs.IDDSI testing confirmed that Ink-A and Ink-C met Level 5"minced and moist"criteria, validated by texture parameters and shape retention during mechanical testing.Electronic nose showed minimal deviations in aromatic characteristics across all formulations, preserving sensory acceptability. In vitro digestion models revealed that hydrocolloid networks temporarily hindered gastric proteolysis but ultimately achieved sufficient intestinal hydrolysis(>76%)to ensure nutrient bioavailability.Ink-C was identified as the optimal formulation, harmonizing printability,swallow-safe textures, and digestibility. This work highlights the potential of hydrocolloid-engineered 3D printing to advance personalized nutrition for dysphagia management, offering scalable solutions to improve dietary diversity and clinical outcomes in aging populations.

文摘The intracontinental subduction of a>200-km-long section of the Tajik-Tarim lithosphere beneath the Pamir Mountains is proposed to explain nearly 30 km of shortening in the Tajik fold-thrust belt and the Pamir uplift.Seismic imaging revealed that the upper slab was scraped and that the lower slab had subducted to a depth of>150 km.These features constitute the tectonic complexity of the Pamirs,as well as the thermal subduction mechanism involved, which remains poorly understood.Hence,in this study,high-resolution three-dimensional(3D)kinematic modeling is applied to investigate the thermal structure and geometry of the subducting slab beneath the Pamirs. The modeled slab configuration reveals distinct along-strike variations, with a steeply dipping slab beneath the southern Pamirs,a more gently inclined slab beneath the northern Pamirs, and apparent upper slab termination at shallow depths beneath the Pamirs. The thermal field reveals a cold slab core after delamination, with temperatures ranging from 400℃to 800℃,enveloped by a hotter mantle reaching~1400℃.The occurrence of intermediate-depth earthquakes aligns primarily with colder slab regions, particularly near the slab tear-off below the southwestern Pamirs, indicating a strong correlation between slab temperature and seismicity. In contrast, the northern Pamirs exhibit reduced seismicity at depth, which is likely associated with thermal weakening and delamination. The central Pamirs show a significant thermal anomaly caused by a concave slab, where the coldest crust does not descend deeply, further suggesting crustal detachment or mechanical failure. The lateral asymmetry in slab temperature possibly explains the mechanism of lateral tearing and differential slab-mantle coupling.

文摘Bird's-eye-view(BEV)perception is a core technology for autonomous driving systems. However, existing solutions face the dilemma of high costs associated with multimodal methods and limited performance of vision-only approaches. To address this issue, this paper proposes a framework named“a lightweight pure visual BEV perception method based on dual distillation of spatial-temporal knowledge”.This framework innovatively designs a lightweight vision-only student model based on Res Net,which leverages a dual distillation mechanism to learn from a powerful teacher model that integrates temporal information from both image and light detection and ranging(LiDAR)modalities.Specifically,we distill efficient multi-modal feature extraction and spatial fusion capabilities from the BEVFusion model, and distill advanced temporal information fusion and spatiotemporal attention mechanisms from the BEVFormer model. This dual distillation strategy enables the student model to achieve perception performance close to that of multi-modal models without relying on Li DAR.Experimental results on the nu Scenes dataset demonstrate that the proposed model significantly outperforms classical vision-only algorithms, achieves comparable performance to current state-of-the-art vision-only methods on the nu Scenes detection leaderboard in terms of both mean average precision(mAP)and the nu Scenes detection score(NDS)metrics, and exhibits notable advantages in inference computational efficiency.Although the proposed dual-teacher paradigm incurs higher offline training costs compared to single-model approaches,it yields a streamlined and highly efficient student model suitable for resource-constrained real-time deployment. This provides an effective pathway toward low-cost,high-performance autonomous driving perception systems.

文摘Background:Therapeutic responses of breast cancer vary among patients and lead to drug resistance and recurrence due to the heterogeneity.Current preclinical models, however, are inadequate for predicting individual patient responses towards different drugs. This study aimed to investigate the patient-derived breast cancer culture models for drug sensitivity evaluations. Methods:Tumor and adjacent tissues from female breast cancer patients were collected during surgery.Patient-derived breast cancer cells were cultured using the conditional reprogramming technique to establish 2D models. The obtained patient-derived conditional reprogramming breast cancer(CRBC)cells were subsequently embedded in alginate-gelatin methacryloyl hydrogel microspheres to form 3D culture models.Comparisons between 2D and 3D models were made using immunohistochemistry(tumor markers),MTS assays(cell viability),flow cytometry(apoptosis),transwell assays(migration),and Western blotting(protein expression).Drug sensitivity tests were conducted to evaluate patient-specific responses to anti-cancer agents.Results:2D and 3D culture models were successfully established using samples from eight patients. The 3D models retained histological and marker characteristics of the original tumors.Compared to 2D cultures,3D models exhibited increased apoptosis, enhanced drug resistance, elevated stem cell marker expression, and greater migration ability—features more reflective of in vivo tumor behavior.Conclusion:Patient-derived 3D CRBC models effectively mimic the in vivo tumor microenvironment and demonstrate stronger resistance to anti-cancer drugs than 2D models. These hydrogel-based models offer a cost-effective and clinically relevant platform for drug screening and personalized breast cancer treatment.

文摘Discontinuities in rock masses critically impact the stability and safety of underground engineering.Mainstream discontinuities identificationmethods, which rely on normal vector estimation and clustering algorithms, suffer from accuracy degradation, omission of critical discontinuities when orientation density is unevenly distributed, and need manual intervention. To overcome these limitations, this paper introduces a novel discontinuities identificationmethod based on geometric feature analysis of rock mass.By analyzing spatial distribution variability of point cloud and integrating an adaptive region growing algorithm, the method accurately detects independent discontinuities under complex geological conditions.Given that rock mass orientations typically follow a Fisher distribution,an adaptive hierarchical clustering algorithm based on statistical analysis is employed to automatically determine the optimal number of structural sets, eliminating the need for preset clusters or thresholds inherent in traditional methods. The proposed approach effectively handles diverse rock mass shapes and sizes, leveraging both local and global geometric features to minimize noise interference.Experimental validation on three real-world rock mass models, alongside comparisons with three conventional directional clustering algorithms, demonstrates superior accuracy and robustness in identifying optimal discontinuity sets. The proposed method offers a reliable and efficienttool for discontinuities detection and grouping in underground engineering, significantlyenhancing design and construction outcomes.

文摘In the field of edge computing, achieving low-latency computational task offloading with limited resources is a critical research challenge, particularly in resource-constrained and latency-sensitive vehicular network environments where rapid response is mandatory for safety-critical applications. In scenarios where edge servers are sparsely deployed, the lack of coordination and information sharing often leads to load imbalance, thereby increasing system latency.Furthermore,in regions without edge server coverage, tasks must be processed locally, which further exacerbates latency issues. To address these challenges,we propose a novel and efficient Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)-based approach aimed at minimizing average task latency. The proposed method incorporates three offloading strategies:local computation, direct offloading to the edge server in local region, and device-to-device(D2D)-assisted offloading to edge servers in other regions. We formulate the task offloading process as a complex latency minimization optimization problem. To solve it,we propose an advanced algorithm based on the Dueling Double Deep Q-Network(D3QN)architecture and incorporating the Prioritized Experience Replay(PER)mechanism.Experimental results demonstrate that, compared with existing offloading algorithms, the proposed method significantly reduces average task latency, enhances user experience, and offers an effective strategy for latency optimization in future edge computing systems under dynamic workloads.

文摘Delayed neurocognitive recovery following anesthesia and surgery is a common complication in older adult patients.Synapses are fundamental to cognitive function. The activity of synapses heavily depends on the energy supplied by synaptic mitochondria, which are significantly influenced by oxidative stress.Sirtuin 3 is a histone deacetylase located in the mitochondrial matrix that plays a pivotal role in regulating mitochondrial function. However,it remains unclear whether and how sirtuin 3 is involved in the development of delayed cognitive recovery. Therefore,in this study,we investigated the potential role of sirtuin 3 in synapses during delayed neurocognitive recovery. Our results showed that anesthesia and surgery induced cognitive impairment in mice and reduced sirtuin 3 protein expression.Overexpression of sirtuin 3 inhibited opening of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore by reducing acetylation of K166 on cyclophilin D and also rescued cognitive impairment.Aged mice carrying the cyclophilin D-K166R mutation exhibited significantly reduced cognitive impairment.Similarly, administering the mitochondrial permeability transition pore blocker, cyclosporine A,effectively alleviated the decline in synaptic mitochondrial function and cognitive impairment caused by anesthesia and surgery in aged mice. These results indicate that the sirtuin 3/cyclophilin D-K166/mPTP signaling pathway in hippocampal synaptic mitochondria is involved in delayed neurocognitive recovery of aged mice, suggesting this pathway could serve as a potential target for treatment.

文摘Radiance field-based 3D reconstruction has emerged as a transformative research direction due to its remarkable efficiency and quality. This paper presents a systematic analysis of representation models, reconstruction methodologies, and future applications in this field. We start from an overview of multi-view 3D reconstruction tasks, then focus on the key issue:how to represent 3D content effectively.Radiance fields are highlighted for their flexibility and representational completeness.Distinguished from the existing review literature,we adopt a multi-dimensional comparison between neural radiance fields(Ne RF)and 3D Gaussian splatting(3DGS)to develop a unified and in-depth understanding of the radiance field-based approach.Beyond the initial goal of novel view synthesis(NVS),recent breakthroughs in geometry extraction are summarized. Finally,we explore potential applications across areas such as robot localization and mapping, virtual reality, physical simulation, and stereo display.Empowered by the flexible 3D representation within the radiance field-based paradigm, the latest advancements strive to push the boundaries and overcome long-standing bottlenecks in related domains.
文摘Background:Successful liver resection in oncologic surgery depends on safety, precision, and efficacy, all of which require a thorough understanding of liver anatomy.Contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT)-generated three-dimensional(3D)models have been proposed as a valuable tool to enhance this understanding. However,a systematic comparison of different display modalities across professional groups has not yet been performed. Methods:In this prospective, monocentric randomized trial,we compared high-resolution twodimensional(2D)CT images of liver malignancies with their corresponding standardized,non-colored 3D virtual and printed models in facilitating anatomical and spatial understanding as well as surgical decision-making.A total of 91 participants, including 40 surgeons,10 radiologists, and 41 students, evaluated six clinical cases(three centrally and three peripherally located liver malignancies). Each participant assessed one central and one peripheral case per display modality, presented in a random order. Results:Compared to 2D CT images, both 3D virtual and printed models significantly improved the identification of tumor location(P<0.001),enhanced the comprehension of spatial relationships with adjacent liver and portal veins(P<0.001 and P=0.019,respectively),and facilitated clinical decisionmaking(P<0.001).No significant difference was observed between virtual and printed models in terms of effectiveness.Within the different groups, surgeons and students, but not radiologists, more accurately identified tumor location and spatial relationships with adjacent liver and portal veins using 3D models.Subjectively, most surgeons and students preferred 3D printed models over virtual models and 2D CT images. Conclusions:This study demonstrated that standardized,non-colored 3D virtual and printed models equally help preoperative anatomical understanding and decision-making,particularly for surgeons and students.By isolating the influence of display modality, our findings clarify prior inconsistent results and support the integration of cost-effective 3D visualization by applying virtual models into surgical planning and education.Preference for printed models despite comparable efficacy highlights the importance of user-centered implementation strategies.

文摘The introduction of two-dimensional(2D)perovskite layers on top of three-dimensional(3D)perovskite films enhances the performance and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However, the electronic effect of the spacer cation and the quality of the 2D capping layer are critical factors in achieving the required results. In this study,we compared two fluorinated salts:4-(trifluoromethyl)benzamidine hydrochloride(4TF-BA·HCl)and 4-fluorobenzamidine hydrochloride(4F-BA·HCl)to engineer the 3D/2D perovskite films.Surprisingly,4F-BA formed a high-performance 3D/2D heterojunction,while4TF-BA produced an amorphous layer on the perovskite films. Our findings indicate that the balanced intramolecular charge polarization, which leads to effective hydrogen bonding,is more favorable in 4F-BA than in 4TF-BA,promoting the formation of a crystalline 2D perovskite.Nevertheless,4TF-BA managed to improve efficiency to 24%,surpassing the control device, primarily due to the natural passivation capabilities of benzamidine.Interestingly, the devices based on 4F-BA demonstrated an efficiency exceeding 25%with greater longevity under various storage conditions compared to 4TF-BA-based and the control devices.

文摘The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) is a key process in electrocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen production, yet it is often limited by sluggish H^(*)-OH adsorption and H*binding kinetics. We obtained Rumodified Ni O nanoparticles(Ru-Ni O/NF) with enhanced HER properties by substituting ruthenium(Ru)for Ni atoms in the Ni O(200) crystalline facets on nickel foam by a one-step electrodeposition technique. This novel catalyst exhibits a significantly reduced H^(*)-OH adsorption energy and improved kinetics, with an overpotential of only 60 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2) and a Tafel slope of 26.19 mV/dec.The Ru-Ni O/NF maintains its activity for over 115 h,outperforming NiO/NF by reducing the overpotential by 177 mV.DFT calculations confirm that the addition of Ru to NiO enhances the HER kinetics by modifying the electronic structure, optimizing the surface chemistry, stabilizing the intermediates, lowering the energy barriers, and facilitating efficient charge transfer through a robust three-dimensional structure, resulting in a change in the rate-limiting step and a significant reduction in the Gibbs free energy. This study presents a highly efficient HER catalyst and offers insights into designing advanced NiO-based electrocatalysts by reducing reaction energy barriers.
