Maximum system reliability of series-parallel system is depending on proper allocation of redundancy component in different stage. The goal of entropy based reliability redundancy allocation problem is to find optimal number of redundancy component in each stage such a manner that maximize the system reliability subject to available total system cost. Global criterion method is used to analyze entropy based reliability optimization problem with different weight function of objective functions. Numerical examples have been provided to illustrate the model.展开更多

The students in the control group were examined with the traditional assessment method, namely, the points were given the students one-time and estimated in a way of quantitative analysis. The students in the experimental group were examined with criterion-meeting assessment methods. The average score of students in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (P <0.001), the difference was statistically significant, and 100% students in the experimental group got 90-100 points of the assessment standards. Our studies suggest that the method is not only conducive to fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of the students and students’ establishing critical thinking, but also gives help to improve the overall quality of teachers. It can strengthen the experimental teaching, improve teachers’ and students’ senses of responsibility in teaching and learning and contribute to the good teaching result.展开更多

Therefore it is important to analysis the micro-rotation field in a strained material in fractute mechanics. On the basis of strain-rotation (S-R) decomposition theorem, the geometric criterion of cracking has been established. In order to verify its validity, using grating experimental method the thin compact tension specimens were investigated. We begin by employing a modified version of the well known <em>factorization method</em>, in which a computationally effective numerical scheme for the reconstruction of the shape of the scatterer is presented. This is possible, due to a <em>mixed reciprocity principle</em>, which renders the computation of the Green function at the background medium unnecessary. Moreover, to further refine our inversion algorithm, an efficient Tikhonov parameter choice technique, called <em>Improved Maximum Product Criterion</em> (IMPC) is exploited. Our regularization parameter is computed via a fast iterative algorithm which requires no <em>a priori</em> knowledge of the noise level in the far-field data. Finally, the effectiveness of IMPC is illustrated with various numerical examples.展开更多

In this paper, the finite element method (FEM) and theoretical analysis method are combined to analyze the structural property, bearing behavior and failure mode of the all-vertical-piled wharf in offshore deep water, and to establish simplified calculation methods determining the horizontal static ultimate bearing capacity and the dynamic response for the all-vertical-piled wharf. Firstly, the bearing capability and failure mechanism for all-vertical-piled wharf are studied by use of FEM, and the failure criterion is put forward for all-vertical-piled wharf based on the 'plastic hinge'. According to the failure criterion and P-Y curve method, the simplified calculation method of the horizontal static ultimate bearing capacity for all-vertical-piled wharf is proposed, and it is verified that the simplified method is reasonable by comparison with the FEM. Secondly, the displacement dynamic magnification factor for the all-vertical-piled wharf under wave cyclic loads and ship impact loads is calculated by the FEM and the theory formula based on the single degree of freedom (SDOF) system. The results obtained by the two methods are in good agreement with each other, and the simplified calculation method of the displacement dynamic magnification factor for all-vertical-piled wharf under dynamic loads is proposed. Then the simplified calculation method determining the dynamic response for the all-vertical-piled wharf is proposed in combination with P-Y curve method. That is, the dynamic response of the structure can be obtained through the static calculation results of P-Y curve method multiplied by the displacement dynamic magnification factor. The feasibility of the simplified dynamic response method is verified by comparison with the FEM under different conditions.展开更多

The presented pressure depending on the yield criterion can be calibrated with ten experimental data, i.e., the tensile yield stresses at 0°, 45°, and 90°, the compressive yield stresses at 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 75°, and 90° from the rolling direction, and the biaxial tensile yield stress. The corresponding pressure independent plastic potential function can be calibrated with six experimental data, i.e., the tensile R-values at 0°, 15°, 45°, 75°, and 90° from the rolling direction and the tensile biaxial R-value. The downhill simplex method is used to solve these ten and six high nonlinear equations for the yield and plastic potential functions, respectively. This procedure is based on resampling blocks of random length, where the length of each blocks has a truncated geometric distribution and capable of determining the probability p and number of block b. Special attention is given to problems with dependent data, and application with real data was carried out. Autoregressive model was fitted and the choice of order determined by Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). The normality test was carried out on the residual variance of the fitted model using Jargue-Bera statistics, and the best model was determined based on root mean square error of the forecasting values. The bootstrap method gives a better and a reliable model for predictive purposes. All the models for the different block sizes are good. They preserve and maintain stationary data structure of the process and are reliable for predictive purposes, confirming the efficiency of the proposed method.展开更多
