A two-stage power factor correcti...In this paper, period-doubling bifurcation in a two-stage power factor correction converter is analyzed by using the method of incremental harmonic balance (IHB) and Floquet theory. A two-stage power factor correction converter typically employs a cascade configuration of a pre-regulator boost power factor correction converter with average current mode control to achieve a near unity power factor and a tightly regulated post-regulator DC-DC Buck converter with voltage feedback control to regulate the output voltage. Based on the assumption that the tightly regulated postregulator DC-DC Buck converter is represented as a constant power sink and some other assumptions, the simplified model of the two-stage power factor correction converter is derived and its approximate periodic solution is calculated by the method of IHB. And then, the stability of the system is investigated by using Floquet theory and the stable boundaries are presented on the selected parameter spaces. Finally, some experimental results are given to confirm the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis.展开更多

The effects of converter device, raw material, air imbibed quantity, recovery restricted condition, and intensity of oxygen blowing on the converter gas recovery rate were studied. Among these, the effects of the air im bibed quantity, recovery restricted condition, and intensity of oxygen blowing are remarkable. Objective To investigate the association of specific functional gene ACE (I/D) variants of the renin-angiotensin system with essential hypertension (EH) and interaction between ACE (I/D) gene and risk factors for EH i...Objective To investigate the association of specific functional gene ACE (I/D) variants of the renin-angiotensin system with essential hypertension (EH) and interaction between ACE (I/D) gene and risk factors for EH in a genetically homogenous Mongolia rural population of China. Methods Individuals (n=1099) were recruited from general population of Kezuohouqi Banner in Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region. Results The association was found between ACE genotype DD plus ID and EH, with an interaction between ACE genotype DD plus ID and cigarette smoking in an additive model. Cigarette smoking index and ACE gene showed a low exposure-gene (LEG) effect on EH, with interaction indices from 7.10 to 1.16. Interaction between ACE genotype DD plus ID and alcohol drinking on EH appeared an additive model. Alcohol drinking index and ACE gene showed a low exposure-gene (LEG) effect on EH, with interaction indices from 1.66 to 1.09. BMI and ACE gene showed a low exposure-gene (LEG) effect on EH, with interaction indices from 6.15 to 2.49. Interactions between ACE genotype and WHR on EH showed a multiplicative model. In a short, there was an interaction between ACE gene and cigarette smoking, alcohol drinking and BMI on EH, especially in a low dose-exposure effect Conclusion It is important for individuals who carry ACE D allele gene to prevent EH, and furthermore, to prevent and control coronary heart disease, in a view of population-based prevention.展开更多

It was found that the conformation and molecular surface hydrophobicity of catalytic domains of TACE and MMPs were not obviously different, but the molecular surface electrostatic potential of catalytic domain of TACE' and MMPs had obvious differences. A single stage isolated high power factor AC/DC converter, which features wide range DC output, high power factor, lower harmonic pollution in input current, and phase shift PWM full bridge circuit can achieve soft switching. The principle of the circuit topology and the reasons of voltage surges across the power switch are analyzed. This problem of harmonic distortion can be mitigated by reshaping the non-sinusoidal waveform to pure sine wave. Different wave shaping techniques have been developed by using different filters among which one is tuned passive filter. This paper proposed power factor improvement and harmonic mitigation of AC-DC converters based on separately excited DC motor using tuned passive filter. AIM: To evaluate tumor necrosis factor-α converting enzyme(TACE) methylation status in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).METHODS: Eighty patients with hepatitis B e antigen(HBe Ag)-positive CHB, 80 with HBe Ag-n...AIM: To evaluate tumor necrosis factor-α converting enzyme(TACE) methylation status in patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB).METHODS: Eighty patients with hepatitis B e antigen(HBe Ag)-positive CHB, 80 with HBe Ag-negative CHB, and 40 healthy controls(HCs) were randomly enrolled in this study. Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and methylation status of TACE promoter was determined by methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction. The clinical and laboratory parameters were collected.RESULTS: One hundred and thirty of 160 patients with CHB(81.25%) and 38 of 40 HCs(95%) displayed TACE promoter methylation. The difference was significant(χ2 = 4.501, P < 0.05). TACE promoter methylation frequency in HBe Ag-positive CHB(58/80, 72.5%) was significantly lower than that in HBe Ag-negative CHB(72/80, 90%; χ2 = 8.041, P < 0.01) and HCs(χ2 = 8.438, P < 0.01). However, no significant difference was observed in the methylation frequency between HBe Agnegative CHB and HCs(χ2 = 0.873, P > 0.05). In the HBe Ag-positive group, TACE methylation frequency was significantly negatively correlated with HBe Ag(r =-0.602, P < 0.01), alanine aminotransferase(r =-0.461, P < 0.01) and aspartate aminotransferase(r =-0.329, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Patients with HBe Ag-positive CHB have aberrant demethylation of the TACE promoter, which may potentially serve as a biomarker for HBe Ag seroconversion.展开更多

A BL configuration of Cuk converter is proposed which eliminates the usage of diode bridge rectifier at...This paper presents a power factor corrected (PFC) new bridgeless (BL) Cuk Topologies for low power applications. A BL configuration of Cuk converter is proposed which eliminates the usage of diode bridge rectifier at the front end of the PFC converter, thus reducing the switching and conduction losses coupled with it. This new BL Cuk converter has two semiconductors switches. The current flow during each switching cycle interval of the converter reduces the conduction losses compared to the conventional Cuk PFC converter. It also reduces the input current ripple and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). The inrush current during the starting period is limited and the input, output currents of the converter are continuous with minimum current ripple. Hence it is preferred mostly compared to other PFC circuits. The proposed topology works in the Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM) with simple control circuitry to achieve almost a unity power factor with less distortion in the input AC current. The switching of the power switches is done under zero current. The proposed PFC topologies are theoretically investigated and performance comparisons are made with the conventional rectifiers. The proposed PFC converter is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK with Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) and results are demonstrated to evaluate the effectiveness of the controller.展开更多

Studies about risk factors in the patients are meaningful in early forecast and effective preventi...Background Essential hypertension (EH) is considered to be one of the most important risk factor of ischemic stroke. Studies about risk factors in the patients are meaningful in early forecast and effective prevention of the onset of stroke. Renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system plays an important role in the regulation of blood pressure and the development of stroke, while recent studies have found that the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) may be a reversal agent for the development and progression of ischemic stroke. Methods The ACE2 gene was measured in 139 EH patients with ischemic stroke using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) tests. Detailed and complete clinical and biochemical data were collected, including pulse pressure, hsCRP, IMT, HDL-C and uric acid levels. Study the correlation between angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 gene and the risk factor for onset of ischemic stroke in EH patients. Results Pulse pressure, hsCRP, IMT and uric acid levels had a positive correlation with on- set of ischemic stroke in EH patients. Among male patients, pulse pressure, hsCRP, IMT and HDL-C were higher in patients carrying A allele than B allele (P 〈 0.05). While these factors were different in female patients carrying different genotypes in which A.A allele were highest. Patients with various genotypes showed different uric acid levels but showed no significant difference. Conclusion Among EH patients with complicated ischemic stroke, those carrying the A/AA allele show high level of risk factors and is likely to have the susceptibility of recurrence of stroke.展开更多

The traditional mathematical modelling is not available for complex structure converters since the differential equation order increases very high. We have to search other way to establish mathematical modelling for power DC/DC converters.We have theoretically defined a new concept-Energy Factor (EF) in this paper and researched the relations between EF and the mathematical modelling for power DC/DC converters. EF is a new concept in power DC/DC conversion technology, which thoroughly differs from the traditional concepts such as power factor (PF), power transfer efficiency (η), total harmonic distortion (THD) and ripple factor (RF). EF and the subsequential EFV (and EFVD) can illustrate the system stability, reference response and interference recovery. This investigation is very helpful for system design and DC/DC converters characteristics foreseeing. Two DC/DC converters: Buck converter and Super-Lift Luo-Converter as the samples are analysed in this paper to demonstrate the applications of EF, EFV (and EFVD), PE, SE, VE (and VED), time constant τ and damping time constant τd.展开更多

With right-angle triangle relation ...This paper presents a novel current feedforward control strategy for a three-phase pulse-width modulation (PWM) DC voltage-type converter based on phase and amplitude control (PAC). With right-angle triangle relation of phasors and principle of conservation of energy, a phasor adjustment method and the relevant low-frequency mathematical model of the system are analyzed in detail, both in rectification and regeneration modes for the converter, are discussed. For improving the traditional PAC dynamic performance, variable load current is detected indirectly by the change of the DC voltage, which is fed to the control system as an additional control variable to generate modulation index and phase angle. Also, the algorithm is derived and the system principle is introduced. Experimental results from a 3 kw laboratory device are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.展开更多

To improve the quality of the power supply system for RSSMs, an improved synchronous control strategy is suggested for the superconducting magnet power supply system, which comprises four series-connected six-pulse converters fed by a phase-shifting transformer, respectively. According to the proposed control strategy, the basic unit is two 12-pulse converters and the control method will be changed in terms of loadfluctuations which are represented by the per unit value of converter output voltage. It is used in many applications in power systems and machine drives. However, an exact definite output signal from the dc side still not recognized. The waveforms of output voltage and current demonstrate an imperfect dc signal and constitute losses, harmonic distortion, low power factor, and observed some ripples. An approximately perfect rectifier bridge is the aim of this research. Perhaps it gives the ability to identify the parameters of the converter to obtain, as much as possible, a perfect dc signal with less ripple, high power factor and high efficiency. Design is implemented by simulation on Power Simulator PSIM, and practically, a series regulator LM723 is applied to provide regulating output voltage. Comparisons of both simulation and hardware results are made to observe differences and similarities.展开更多

Conclusion Among EH patients with complicated ischemic stroke, those carrying the A/AA allele show high level of risk factors and is likely to have the susceptibility of recurrence of stroke.
文摘Mathematical modelling for power DC/DC converters is a historical problem accompanying DC/DC conversion technology since 1940’s. The traditional mathematical modelling is not available for complex structure converters since the differential equation order increases very high. We have to search other way to establish mathematical modelling for power DC/DC converters.We have theoretically defined a new concept-Energy Factor (EF) in this paper and researched the relations between EF and the mathematical modelling for power DC/DC converters. EF is a new concept in power DC/DC conversion technology, which thoroughly differs from the traditional concepts such as power factor (PF), power transfer efficiency (η), total harmonic distortion (THD) and ripple factor (RF). EF and the subsequential EFV (and EFVD) can illustrate the system stability, reference response and interference recovery. This investigation is very helpful for system design and DC/DC converters characteristics foreseeing. Two DC/DC converters: Buck converter and Super-Lift Luo-Converter as the samples are analysed in this paper to demonstrate the applications of EF, EFV (and EFVD), PE, SE, VE (and VED), time constant τ and damping time constant τd.
文摘This paper presents a novel current feedforward control strategy for a three-phase pulse-width modulation (PWM) DC voltage-type converter based on phase and amplitude control (PAC). With right-angle triangle relation of phasors and principle of conservation of energy, a phasor adjustment method and the relevant low-frequency mathematical model of the system are analyzed in detail, both in rectification and regeneration modes for the converter, are discussed. For improving the traditional PAC dynamic performance, variable load current is detected indirectly by the change of the DC voltage, which is fed to the control system as an additional control variable to generate modulation index and phase angle. Also, the algorithm is derived and the system principle is introduced. Experimental results from a 3 kw laboratory device are included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
文摘The Buck converter with LC input filter operating in discontinuous output current mode has a high power factor with a constant duty cycle. A Buck converter in this operation mode can reduce the reverse recovery loss of the freewheeling diode thus increase the efficiency. The operation, power factor analysis and modeling of the converter are studied in this paper. Experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical predictions.

文摘To provide electrical power for the Research System of Superconducting Magnets(RSSMs)including the background field superconducting magnet and the tested superconducting objects,the high power phase-controlled converter will be used to develop the power supply system.However, because of its inner nonlinear feature, the current harmonics and the reactive power are injected into the AC power supply system. To improve the quality of the power supply system for RSSMs, an improved synchronous control strategy is suggested for the superconducting magnet power supply system, which comprises four series-connected six-pulse converters fed by a phase-shifting transformer, respectively. According to the proposed control strategy, the basic unit is two 12-pulse converters and the control method will be changed in terms of loadfluctuations which are represented by the per unit value of converter output voltage. As a result,harmonic is greatly reduced but the power factor is also high.
文摘In this paper, the Author presents the theory and application of repetitive proportional integral current con-troller for boost single phase ac-dc converter with power factor correction (PFC). A repetitive controller which is inserted in series with the proportional integral ( PI) controller shows very low crossover distortion of input current, low total harmonic distortion and very low tracking error when is compared with the con-ventional proportional integral controller. Full analysis of proposed controller is given and Matlab/Simulink is used for simulation. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed control method.
文摘Many single and three-phase converters are well developed, and covered up in most of electric markets. It is used in many applications in power systems and machine drives. However, an exact definite output signal from the dc side still not recognized. The waveforms of output voltage and current demonstrate an imperfect dc signal and constitute losses, harmonic distortion, low power factor, and observed some ripples. An approximately perfect rectifier bridge is the aim of this research. Perhaps it gives the ability to identify the parameters of the converter to obtain, as much as possible, a perfect dc signal with less ripple, high power factor and high efficiency. Design is implemented by simulation on Power Simulator PSIM, and practically, a series regulator LM723 is applied to provide regulating output voltage. Comparisons of both simulation and hardware results are made to observe differences and similarities.
