As an important source of clean and renewable resources,the importance of wind power generation is increasing under the background of the theme of“environmental protection”in the new era.The efficiency of wind power generation is mainly affected by the reliability and performance of the power generation system,so it is necessary to use a single-chip microcomputer system and an intelligent algorithm to assist control,so as to improve the performance of wind power generation.Based on this research background,this paper expounds the working principle and basic characteristics of a single-chip microcomputer,summarizes its application advantages in wind turbine control,and puts forward the application practice strategy of a single-chip microcomputer in a wind turbine control system,which provides important assistance for the upgrading of the wind power system. 展开更多

The power-electronics-based DC microgrid system composed of new energy sources in railway field has low inertia,weak damping characteristics,and the voltage fluctuation microgrid systems caused by the power disturbance of solar.In order to improve the inertia of the DC microgrid system,a virtual DC generator technology is adopted in the interface converter of photovoltaic(PV)power generation unit,so that it has the external characteristics of DC generator.However,the influence of PV maximum power point tracking(MPPT)is not considered in the traditional virtual DC generator control.Therefore,an improved control strategy for virtual DC generator is proposed,and its small signal model is established to analyze the influence of inertia and damping coefficient on stability.The results show that the proposed method effectively weakens the impact on DC bus voltage when the output of PV power unit changes suddenly,which improves the stability of the microgrid.Meanwhile,the correctness and feasibility of the method are verified. 展开更多

The rapid development of new energy power generation technology and the transformation of power electronics in the core equipment of source-grid-load drives the power system towards the“double-high”development pattern of“high proportion of renewable energy”and“high proportion of power electronic equipment”.To enhance the transient performance of AC/DC hybrid microgrid(HMG)in the context of“double-high,”aπtype virtual synchronous generator(π-VSG)control strategy is applied to bidirectional interface converter(BIC)to address the issues of lacking inertia and poor disturbance immunity caused by the high penetration rate of power electronic equipment and new energy.Firstly,the virtual synchronous generator mechanical motion equations and virtual capacitance equations are used to introduce the virtual inertia control equations that consider the transient performance of HMG;based on the equations,theπ-type equivalent control model of the BIC is established.Next,the inertia power is actively transferred through the BIC according to the load fluctuation to compensate for the system’s inertia deficit.Secondly,theπ-VSG control utilizes small-signal analysis to investigate howthe fundamental parameters affect the overall stability of the HMG and incorporates power step response curves to reveal the relationship between the control’s virtual parameters and transient performance.Finally,the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results show that theπ-VSG control effectively improves the immunity of AC frequency and DC voltage in the HMG system under the load fluctuation condition,increases the stability of the HMG system and satisfies the power-sharing control objective between the AC and DC subgrids. 展开更多

The globe faces an urgent need to close the energy demand-supply gap.Addressing this difficulty requires constructing a Hybrid Renewable Energy System(HRES),which has proven to be the most appropriate solution.HRES allows for integrating two or more renewable energy resources,successfully addressing the issue of intermittent availability of non-conventional energy resources.Optimization is critical for improving the HRES’s performance parameters during implementation.This study focuses on HRES using solar and biomass as renewable energy supplies and appropriate energy storage technologies.However,energy fluctuations present a problem with the power quality of HRES.To address this issue,the research paper introduces the Generalized Dynamic Progressive Neural Fuzzy Controller(GDPNFC),which regulates power flow within the proposed HRES.Furthermore,a unique approach called Enhanced Multi-Objective Monarch Butterfly Optimization(EMMBO)is used to optimize technical parameters.The simulation tool used in the research work is HOMER(Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources)-PRO,and the system’s power quality is assessed using MATLAB 2016.The research paper concludes with comparing the performance of existing systems to the proposed system in terms of power loss and Total Harmonic Distortion(THD).It was established that the proposed technique involving EMMBO outperformed existing methods in technical optimization. 展开更多

As a typical rhythmic movement, human being's rhythmic gait movement can be generated by a central pattern generator (CPG) located in a spinal cord by self- oscillation. Some kinds of gait movements are caused by gait frequency and amplitude variances. As an important property of human being's motion vision, the attention selection mechanism plays a vital part in the regulation of gait movement. In this paper, the CPG model is amended under the condition of attention selection on the theoretical basis of Matsuoka neural oscillators. Regulation of attention selection signal for the CPG model parameters and structure is studied, which consequentially causes the frequency and amplitude changes of gait movement output. Further, the control strategy of the CPG model gait movement under the condition of attention selection is discussed, showing that the attention selection model can regulate the output model of CPG gait movement in three different ways. The realization of regulation on the gait movement frequency and amplitude shows a variety of regulation on the CPG gait movement made by attention selection and enriches the controllability of CPG gait movement, which demonstrates potential influence in engineering applications. 展开更多

A constrained generalized predictive control (GPC) algorithm based on the T-S fuzzy model is presented for the nonlinear system. First, a Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model based on the fuzzy cluster algorithm and the orthogonalleast square method is constructed to approach the nonlinear system. Since its consequence is linear, it can divide the nonlinear system into a number of linear or nearly linear subsystems. For this T-S fuzzy model, a GPC algorithm with input constraints is presented. This strategy takes into account all the constraints of the control signal and its increment, and does not require the calculation of the Diophantine equations. So it needs only a small computer memory and the computational speed is high. The simulation results show a good performance for the nonlinear systems. 展开更多

Unlike the existinggeneralized predictive control algorithms, the proposed approach divides parameters of a predictivemodel into the time invariant and time-varying ones, which are treated respectively by offline andonline identification algorithms. Therefore, both the reliability and accuracy of the predictivemodel are improved. Two simulation examples of control of a fixed bed reactor show that this newalgorithm is not only reliable and stable in the case of uncertainties and abnormal disturbances,but also adaptable to slow time varying processes. 展开更多

The proposed nonlinear controller is applied to control the superheated steam temperature of a 200MW power plant. Active control of turbine blade tip clearance continues to be a concern in design and control of gas turbines. Ever increasing demands for improved efficiency and higher operating temperatures require more stringent tolerances on turbine tip clearance. In this paper, a turbine tip clearance control apparatus and a model of turbine tip clearance are proposed; an implicit active generalized predictive control (GPC), with auto-regressive (AR) error modification and fuzzy adjustment on control horizon, is presented, as well as a quantitative analysis method of robust per- turbation radius of the system. The active clearance control (ACC) of aero-engine turbine tip clear- ance is evaluated in a lapse-rate take-off transient, along with the comparative and quantitative analysis of the stability and robustness of the active tip clearance control system. The results show that the resultant active tip clearance control system with the improved GPC has favorable steadystate and dynamic performance and benefits of increased efficiency, reduced specific fuel consump- tion, and additional service life. 展开更多

A prediction control algorithm is presented based on least squares support vector machines (LS-SVM) model for a class of complex systems with strong nonlinearity. The nonlinear off-line model of the controlled plant is built by LS-SVM with radial basis function (RBF) kernel. In the process of system running, the off-line model is linearized at each sampling instant, and the generalized prediction control (GPC) algorithm is employed to implement the prediction control for the controlled plant. The obtained algorithm is applied to a boiler temperature control system with complicated nonlinearity and large time delay. Used for industrial process with different degree of nonlinearity, the two predictive control algorithms presented in this paper are based on Least Squares Support Vector Machines (LS-SVM) model. For the weakly nonlinear system, the system model is built by using LS-SVM with linear kernel function, and then the obtained linear LS-SVM model is transformed into linear input-output relation of the controlled system. However, for the strongly nonlinear system, the off-line model of the controlled system is built by using LS-SVM with Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel. The obtained nonlinear LS-SVM model is linearized at each sampling instant of system running, after which the on-line linear input-output model of the system is built. Based on the obtained linear input-output model, the Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) algorithm is employed to implement predictive control for the controlled plant in both algorithms. The simulation results after the presented algorithms were implemented in two different industrial processes model; respectively revealed the effectiveness and merit of both algorithms. 展开更多

We proposed and implemented a leg-vector water-jet actuated spherical robot and an underwater adaptive motion control system so that the proposed robot could perform exploration tasks in complex environments.Our aim was to improve the kinematic performance of spherical robots.We developed mechanical and dynamic models so that we could analyze the motions of the robot on land and in water.The robot was equipped with an Inertial Measurement Unit(IMU)that provided inclination and motion information.We designed three types of walking gait for the robot,with different stabilities and speeds.Furthermore,we proposed an online adjustment mechanism to adjust the gaits so that the robot could climb up slopes in a stable manner.As the system function changed continuously as the robot moved underwater,we implemented an online motion recognition system with a forgetting factor least squares algorithm.We proposed a generalized prediction control algorithm to achieve robust underwater motion control.To ensure real-time performance and reduce power consumption,the robot motion control system was implemented on a Zynq-7000 System-on-Chip(SoC).Our experimental results show that the robot’s motion remains stable at different speeds in a variety of amphibious environments,which meets the requirements for applications in a range of terrains. 展开更多

In this study, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker's yeast) was produced in a fed-batch bioreactor at the optimal dissolved oxygen concentration (DOC) and growth medium temperature. However, it is very difficult to control the DOC using conventional controllers because of the poorly understood and constantly changing dynamics of the bioprocess. A generalized predictive controller (GPC) based on a nonlinear autoregressive integrated moving average exogenous (NARIMAX) model is presented to stabilize the DOC by manipulation of air flow rate. The NARIMAX model is built by an improved recursive least-squares support vector machine, which is trained by an in-place computation scheme and avoids the computation of the inverse of a large matrix and memory reallocation. The proposed nonlinear GPC algorithm requires little preliminary knowledge of the fermentation process, and directly obtains the nonlinear model in matrix form by using iterative multiple modeling instead of linearization at each sampling period. By application of an on-line bioreactor control, experimental results demonstrate the robustness, effectiveness and advantages of the new controller. 展开更多

Clock-driven sensors, event-driven controller, and clock-driven actuators are required in this framework. A queuing strategy is proposed to overcome the network induced delay. Without redesigning, the proposed framework enables the existing GPC controller to be used in a network environment. It also does not require clock synchronization and is only slightly affected by bad network condition such as package loss. Various experiments are designed over the real network to test the proposed approach, which verify that the proposed approach can stabilize the Networked Control System (NCS) and is robust. 展开更多

The high-purity distillation column system is strongly nonlinear and coupled,which makes it difficult to control.Active disturbance rejection control(ADRC)has been widely used in distillation systems,but it has limitations in controlling distillation systems with large time delays since ADRC employs ESO and feedback control law to estimate the total disturbance of the system without considering the large time delays.This paper designs a proportion integral-type active disturbance rejection generalized predictive control(PI-ADRGPC)algorithm to control the distillation column system with large time delay.It replaces the PD controller in ADRC with a proportion integral-type generalized predictive control(PI-GPC),thereby improving the performance of control systems with large time delays.Since the proposed controller has many parameters and is difficult to tune,this paper proposes to use the grey wolf optimization(GWO)to tune these parameters,whose structure can also be used by other intelligent optimization algorithms.The performance of GWO tuned PI-ADRGPC is compared with the control performance of GWO tuned ADRC method,multi-verse optimizer(MVO)tuned PI-ADRGPC and MVO tuned ADRC.The simulation results show that the proposed strategy can track reference well and has a good disturbance rejection performance. 展开更多
