BIG-ABAC:Leveraging Big Data for Adaptive,Scalable,and Context-Aware Access Control

Managing sensitive data in dynamic and high-stakes environments,such as healthcare,requires access control frameworks that offer real-time adaptability,scalability,and regulatory compliance.BIG-ABAC introduces a transformative approach to Attribute-Based Access Control(ABAC)by integrating real-time policy evaluation and contextual adaptation.Unlike traditional ABAC systems that rely on static policies,BIG-ABAC dynamically updates policies in response to evolving rules and real-time contextual attributes,ensuring precise and efficient access control.Leveraging decision trees evaluated in real-time,BIG-ABAC overcomes the limitations of conventional access control models,enabling seamless adaptation to complex,high-demand scenarios.The framework adheres to the NIST ABAC standard while incorporating modern distributed streaming technologies to enhance scalability and traceability.Its flexible policy enforcement mechanisms facilitate the implementation of regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR,allowing organizations to align access control policies with compliance needs dynamically.Performance evaluations demonstrate that BIG-ABAC processes 95% of access requests within 50 ms and updates policies dynamically with a latency of 30 ms,significantly outperforming traditional ABAC models.These results establish BIG-ABAC as a benchmark for adaptive,scalable,and context-aware access control,making it an ideal solution for dynamic,high-risk domains such as healthcare,smart cities,and Industrial IoT(IIoT). 展开更多

A new semi-blind adaptive beamforming scheme is proposed for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) induced and spacedivision multiple-access based wireless systems that employ high order phase shift keying signaling. A minimum number of training symbols, very close to the number of receiver antenna elements, are used to provide a rough initial least squares estimate of the beamformer's weight vector. A novel cost function combining the constant modulus criterion with decision-directed adaptation is adopted to adapt the beamformer weight vector. This cost function can be approximated as a quadratic form with a closed-form solution, based on which we then derive the recursive least squares (RLS) semi-blind adaptive beamforming algorithm. This semi-blind adaptive beamforming scheme is capable of converging fast to the minimum mean-square-error beamforming solution, as demonstrated in our simulation study. Our proposed semi-blind RLS beamforming algorithm therefore provides an efficient detection scheme for the future generation of MIMO aided mobile communication systems. 展开更多

In this study a computer-based approach for analyzing cardiotocogram in- cluding diagnostic features for discriminating a pathologic fetus. Vehicular safety applications, such as cooperative collision warning systems, rely on beaconing to provide situational awareness that is needed to predict and therefore to avoid possible collisions. Beaconing is the continual exchange of vehicle motion-state information, such as position, speed, and heading, which enables each vehicle to track its neighboring vehicles in real time. This work presents a context-aware adaptive beaconing scheme that dynamically adapts the beaconing repetition rate based on an estimated channel load and the danger severity of the interactions among vehicles. The safety, efficiency, and scalability of the new scheme is evaluated by simulating vehicle collisions caused by inattentive drivers under various road traffic densities. Simulation results show that the new scheme is more efficient and scalable, and is able to improve safety better than the existing non-adaptive and adaptive rate schemes. 展开更多

A 6.25 Gbps SerDes core used in the high signed based on the OIF-CEI-02.0 standard. To speed backplane communication receiver has been decounteract the serious Inter-Syrmbol-Interference (ISI), the core employed a half-rate four-tap decision feedback equalizer (DFE). The equalizer used the Signsign least mean-squared (SS-LMS) algorithm to realize the coefficient adaptation. An automatic gain control (AGC) amplifier with the sign least mean-squared (S-LMS) algorithm has been used to compensate the transmission media loss. To recover the clock signal from the input data serial and provide for the DFE and AGC, a bang-bang clock recovery (BB-CR) is adopted. A third order phase loop loek (PLL) model was proposed to predict characteristics of the BB-CR. The core has been verified by behavioral modeling in MATLAB. The results indicate that the core can meet the specifications of the backplane receiver. The DFE recovered data over a 34" FR-4 backplane has a peak-to-peak jitter of 17 ps, a horizontal eye opening of 0.87 UI, and a vertical eye opening of 500 mVpp. 展开更多

The performance of MEMS IMU/GNSS gains significant benefits from context information in terms of improvement of filter' s adaptive capability. A context-aware algorithm using differential carrier phase was proposed to recognize a molile MEMS IMU/GNSS equipped vehicle' s stationary, slow moving or fast moving status. The corresponding context error in awarding was analyzed and consequently conducted two fading factors based on the analysis The factors were applied in the system' s adaptive filter with targeting applications in deep urban where severe multipath presents. The dense urban field test shows that the false alarm of proposed context-aware algorithm is less than 5% and the adaptive filtering can achieve around 15% improvement in terms of lo in two-dimension position accuracy. 展开更多

Classification of Selfish and Regular Nodes Based on Reputation Values in MANET Using Adaptive Decision Boundary

A MANET is a cooperative network in which each node has dual responsibilities of forwarding and routing thus node strength is a major factor because a lesser number of nodes reduces network performance. The existing reputation based methods have limitation due to their stricter punishment strategy because they isolate nodes from network participation having lesser reputation value and thus reduce the total strength of nodes in a network. In this paper we have proposed a mathematical model for the classification of nodes in MANETs using adaptive decision boundary. This model classifies nodes in two classes: selfish and regular node as well as it assigns the grade to individual nodes. The grade is computed by counting how many passes are required to classify a node and it is used to define the punishment strategy as well as enhances the reputation definition of traditional reputation based mechanisms. Our work provides the extent of noncooperation that a network can allow depending on the current strength of nodes for the given scenario and thus includes selfish nodes in network participation with warning messages. We have taken a leader node for reputation calculation and classification which saves energy of other nodes as energy is a major challenge of MANET. The leader node finally sends the warning message to low grade nodes and broadcasts the classification list in the MANET that is considered in the routing activity. 展开更多

Group communication is widely used by most of the emerging network applications like telecommunication,video conferencing,simulation applications,distributed and other interactive systems.Secured group communication plays a vital role in case of providing the integrity,authenticity,confidentiality,and availability of the message delivered among the group members with respect to communicate securely between the inter group or else within the group.In secure group communications,the time cost associated with the key updating in the proceedings of the member join and departure is an important aspect of the quality of service,particularly in the large groups with highly active membership.Hence,the paper is aimed to achieve better cost and time efficiency through an improved DC multicast routing protocol which is used to expose the path between the nodes participating in the group communication.During this process,each node constructs an adaptive Ptolemy decision tree for the purpose of generating the contributory key.Each of the node is comprised of three keys which will be exchanged between the nodes for considering the group key for the purpose of secure and cost-efficient group communication.The rekeying process is performed when a member leaves or adds into the group.The performance metrics of novel approach is measured depending on the important factors such as computational and communicational cost,rekeying process and formation of the group.It is concluded from the study that the technique has reduced the computational and communicational cost of the secure group communication when compared to the other existing methods. 展开更多

Our analysis shows that the bit error rate (BER) performance of iTRPC-UWB systems can be significantly improved via integration interval determination (IID) and decision threshold optimization. For this purpose, two modifications can be made at the autocorrelation receiver as follows. Firstly, the liD processing is performed for autocorrelation operation to capture multi-path energy as much as possible. Secondly, adaptive decision threshold (ADT) instead of zero decision threshold (ZDT), is used as estimated optimal decision threshold for symbol detection. Performance of iTRPCUWB systems using liD and ADT was evaluated in realistic IEEE 802.15.4a UWB channel models and the simulation results demonstrated our theoretical analysis. 展开更多

With the requirements for high performance results in the today’s mobile, global, highly competitive, and technology-based business world, business professionals have to get supported by convenient mobile decision support systems (DSS). To give an improved support to mobile business professionals, it is necessary to go further than just allowing a simple remote access to a Business Intelligence platform. In this paper, the need for actual context-aware mobile Geospatial Business Intelligence (GeoBI) systems that can help capture, filter, organize and structure the user mobile context is exposed and justified. Furthermore, since capturing, structuring, and modeling mobile contextual information is still a research issue, a wide inventory of existing research work on context and mobile context is provided. Then, step by step, we methodologically identify relevant contextual information to capture for mobility purposes as well as for BI needs, organize them into context-dimensions, and build a hierarchical mobile GeoBI context model which (1) is geo-spatial-extended, (2) fits with human perception of mobility, (3) takes into account the local context interactions and information-sharing with remote contexts, and (4) matches with the usual hierarchical aggregated structure of BI data. 展开更多

In the coming decades, agricultural systems will have to adapt to tremendous challenges. Behavioral models have important potential to better understand and steer changes toward sustainability brought about by this context. Relying on a literature review, we distinguish incremental changes (extensions of what is already done) and transformational changes, which involve the reorientation of a considerable amount of farming activities. Transformational changes are particularly important in the context of global change. Existing integrated modelling frameworks based on behavioral theories are suited for incremental changes, but remain limited for transformational changes. Qualitative studies provide important insights on two key aspects of transformational changes, learning and social relations, but they have not been explicitly oriented toward computer modelling yet. Based on this literature and three seminal decision-making approaches, we propose a description of transformational change processes in farm decision-making, as a first step toward an implementation in agent-based models. 展开更多

Adaptive optimisation of the management of Korean pine plantation

Forest management planning faces uncertainties regarding future timber prices,tree growth,and survival.Future seed production is an additional source of uncertainty in Korean pine stands managed for the joint production of timber and edible seeds.Modern forest planning uses optimisation to determine the best possible cutting schedule.Optimisation can accommodate uncertainty by using decision rules for adaptive forest management instead of optimising cutting years and intensities.In this study,we optimised two adaptive decision rules for managing Korean pine plantations for the joint production of timber and pinecones when timber prices,tree growth,and seed production are stochastic.The first rule indicated the minimum price to sell timber,i.e.,the reservation price,as a function of the mean tree diameter and stand basal area.The second adaptive rule expressed the mean tree diameter at which cutting is optimal as a function of timber price and stand basal area.Both decision rules resulted in nearly the same mean net present value when the optimised rule was applied to 100 stochastic scenarios for future timber prices,tree growth,and seed production.The net present values were over 20% higher than those for the deterministically optimised cutting schedules under the same scenarios.Therefore,the expected economic gain from switching from deterministic to adaptive stochastic optimisation was at least 20%.The cutting years of the adaptive optima were frequently later than those indicated by the deterministic optima,and optimal adaptive harvesting often involved waiting for high timber prices.The minimum price or minimum mean diameter to sell timber was higher when the income from seeds was considered in the optimisation.The cuttings were later,and the rotations were longer in the joint production of timber and pinecones than in timber production alone. 展开更多

快速预测金属切削的各种力学性能对工业制造的优化设计和产能提高十分关键.当前相关预测模型通常需要昂贵且耗时的实验和分析过程.构建了一种基于金属切削模拟和决策树回归(decision tree regression,DTR)的预测模型,用于获取不同切削... 快速预测金属切削的各种力学性能对工业制造的优化设计和产能提高十分关键.当前相关预测模型通常需要昂贵且耗时的实验和分析过程.构建了一种基于金属切削模拟和决策树回归(decision tree regression,DTR)的预测模型,用于获取不同切削工况下的力学性能.首先,采用自适应光滑粒子流体动力学(adaptive smoothed particle hydrodynamics,ASPH)模拟金属切削过程,捕获了不同模拟参数下的多种力学性能,组成2000种切削工况的模拟数据集;其次,利用DTR算法学习模拟数据集,训练和构建金属切削预测模型,并通过交叉验证和网格搜索评估了不同剪枝策略下预测模型的效果.结果表明,建立的预测模型可以快速地预测不同模拟参数下的多种力学性能,适宜的剪枝策略可以提升预测模型的准确度、泛化能力和稳定性. 展开更多
