This study investigated the impact of the xu-argument-based continuation on Chinese high school students’English syntactic complexity captured using verb-argument constructions(VACs)over an 8-week period.Participants...This study investigated the impact of the xu-argument-based continuation on Chinese high school students’English syntactic complexity captured using verb-argument constructions(VACs)over an 8-week period.Participants were two comparable groups of students:one group worked with English input texts(i.e.,E-E),while the other worked with Chinese input texts with the same content(i.e.,C-E).The results showed that over time,the E-E group exhibited a greater tendency to use a wider range of VACs,such as caused-motion constructions,attributives,passives,and phrasal verbs.At the same time,they reduced their use of simpler VACs like intransitive-motion and simple transitive constructions,especially when compared to the C-E group.This pattern was also evident in the topic-based writing during the posttest.These findings strongly support the effectiveness of xu-argument-based continuation tasks in promoting the development of L2 VAC knowledge.They suggest that tasks combining language input with output can significantly enhance learners’ability to use more sophisticated VACs.展开更多
To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission leve...To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission level of smoke and NO_(x).The exhaust smoke level and excessive emission situation of different machinery types were identified,and their NO_(x)emission levels were monitored according to the free acceleration method.We investigated the correlation of NO_(x)and smoke emission,and proposed suggestions for controlling pollution discharge from construction machinery in the future.The results show that the exhaust smoke level was 0–2.62 m^(−1),followed a log-normal distribution(μ=-1.73,δ=1.09,R^(2)=0.99),with a 5.64%exceedance rate.Differenceswere observed amongmachinery types,with low-power engine forklifts showing higher smoke levels.The NO_(x)emission range was 71–1516 ppm,followed a normal distribution(μ=565.54,δ=309.51,R^(2)=0.83).Differences among machinery types were relatively small.Engine rated net power had the most significant impact on NO_(x)emissions.Thus,NO_(x)emissions from construction machinery need further attention.Furthermore,we found a weak negative correlation(p<0.05)between the emission level of smoke and NO_(x),that is the synergic emission reduction effect is poor,emphasizing the need for NO_(x)emission limits.In the future,the oversight in Beijing should prioritize phasing out ChinaⅠand ChinaⅡmachinery,and monitor emissions from highpower engine ChinaⅢmachinery.展开更多

BACKGROUND Inferior vena cava(IVC)leiomyosarcomas are rare and aggressive tumors.Complete cure depends on achieving R0 resection,which often requires circumferential resection and reconstruction.Synthetic grafts have ...BACKGROUND Inferior vena cava(IVC)leiomyosarcomas are rare and aggressive tumors.Complete cure depends on achieving R0 resection,which often requires circumferential resection and reconstruction.Synthetic grafts have traditionally been used when venous continuity must be restored.However,the use of cadaveric IVC grafts for reconstruction has not been widely reported.CASE SUMMARY Herein,we present the case of a 64-year-old woman diagnosed with an intrahepatic IVC leiomyosarcoma with local invasion.The patient responded favorably to chemotherapy and subsequently underwent an en bloc right hepatectomy,retrohepatic IVC resection,and reconstruction with an interpositional cadaveric IVC graft.Serial imaging follow-ups until 2 years after the operation showed persistent patency of the graft and no graft-related complications.CONCLUSION Cadaveric IVC grafts are an alternative to synthetic grafts for reconstruction,with acceptable outcomes.Larger,long-term studies are necessary to validate these findings.展开更多

With a case study of reengineering the Defense Science and Technology Thesaurus into a prototype military aircraft ontology, a four-phase thesaurus-based methodology is introduced and investigated, which consists of identifying the application purpose, overall design, designing in detail and evaluation. Designing in detail is the core step, converting the terms and semantic relationships of the thesaurus into an ontology and supplementing richer semantic relationships. The resulting prototype ontology includes 87 concepts and 34 relationships, and can be extended and scaled up to a full-fledged domain ontology in the future. Eight universal genres of relationships of this ontology are preliminarily summarized and analyzed, including equivalent relationships, approximate relationships, generic/abstract relationships, part/whole relationships, cause/effect relationships, entity/location relationships etc., and the normalization of semantic relationships is critical to the merging and reusing of follow-up multiple ontologies.展开更多
BACKGROUND Autologous fat injection in facial reconstruction is a common cosmetic surgery.Although cerebral fat embolism(CFE)as a complication is rare,it carries serious health risks.CASE SUMMARY We present a case of ...BACKGROUND Autologous fat injection in facial reconstruction is a common cosmetic surgery.Although cerebral fat embolism(CFE)as a complication is rare,it carries serious health risks.CASE SUMMARY We present a case of a 29-year-old female patient who developed acute CFE following facial fat filling surgery.After the surgery,the patient experienced symptoms including headache,nausea,vomiting,and difficulty breathing,which was followed by neurological symptoms such as slurred speech and left-sided weakness.Comprehensive physical examination and auxiliary investigations,including blood tests,head and neck computed tomography angiography,and cranial magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging,were performed upon admission.The clinical diagnosis was acute cerebral embolism following facial fat filling surgery.Treatment included measures to improve cerebral circulation,dehydration for intracranial pressure reduction,nutritional support,and rehabilitation therapy for left limb function.The patient showed a significant improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks of treatment.She recovered left limb muscle strength to grade 5,had clear speech,and experienced complete relief of headache.CONCLUSION Our case highlights the potential occurrence of severe complications in patients undergoing fat injection in facial reconstruction.To prevent these complications,plastic surgeons should enhance their professional knowledge and skills.展开更多

BACKGROUND To treat flexor pollicis longus(FPL)muscle function loss,the 4th flexor digitorum superficialis(FDS)to the FPL tendon transfer is preferred as a reconstruction method.Various complications can occur during ...BACKGROUND To treat flexor pollicis longus(FPL)muscle function loss,the 4th flexor digitorum superficialis(FDS)to the FPL tendon transfer is preferred as a reconstruction method.Various complications can occur during transfer.However,median nerve neuropathy has not been reported yet.We present a case of median nerve neuropathy caused by irritation of suture knots of the 4th FDS to the FPL tendon transfer with a review of the literature.CASE SUMMARY A 52-year-old male patient presented with paresthesia along median nerve distribution of right hand after tendon transfer.He complained of right thumb flexion limitation due to FPL function loss so authors performed the 4th FDS to FPL transfer using Pulvertaft weave technique.FPL function loss was due to adhesion resulting from repeated surgery of radius shaft.He had a history of radius shaft open fracture 9 years ago and nonunion 7 years ago.During surgery,FPL muscle was severely adhered and indistinguishable.However,tendon continuity remained intact.After tendon transfer,he experienced paresthesia along median nerve distribution upon movement of thumb.He was diagnosed with median nerve neuropathy caused by irritation of tendon suture knots.Exploration was then performed.The median nerve was irritated by suture knots of transferred tendon.Thus,knots were removed.Twelve months later,he demonstrated thumb flexion of 80°.Additionally,median nerve neuropathy symptoms fully resolved.CONCLUSION Median nerve neuropathy can occur after tendon transfer from irritation of suture knots.Covering knots using surrounding tissue is recommended.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Bioabsorbable interference screws are a widely used option for graft fixation in anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction.Their ability to degrade over time and avoid secondary hardware removal makes them advantageous.However,complications such as breakage and intra-articular migration of screws can cause significant clinical issues,including joint pain,swelling,and cartilage damage.Early diagnosis and management are critical in such cases.CASE SUMMARY A 26-year-old male presented with knee pain and swelling one year after ACL reconstruction using a hamstring graft and bioabsorbable tibial interference screw.The patient had been engaged in rigorous physical activity as part of military training.Clinical examination revealed mild effusion without instability,and imaging showed screw breakage with intra-articular migration.Therapeutic arthroscopy confirmed intact graft tension,and broken screw fragments were removed successfully.The patient resumed normal activity two weeks after surgery.CONCLUSION This case highlights the potential complications associated with bioabsorbable screws,emphasizing the need for meticulous surgical technique,postoperative monitoring,and timely intervention.A comprehensive review of the literature illustrates the mechanisms,risk factors,and preventive strategies associated with screw-related complications.
文摘This study examines the “V + Dào” construction as a state change event through the lens of the Event Integration Hypothesis. It focuses on how these constructions represent state changes, exploring distinctions between “change” and “stasis”. Using a corpus-based approach, the analysis covers the semantic and syntactic features of “V + Dào” constructions and their event integration patterns. The findings highlight the distribution of agency, animacy, and support relations in state change events, emphasizing the complex interaction of internal and external event integrations and their correlation with the conceptual primitives of change and transition. This study offers insights into the lexicalization and grammaticalization processes of the “V + Dào” construction, and potentially the broader verb-complement constructions in Mandarin.
文摘The purpose of this paper is to present the preliminary literature findings of a research project.The main project is set out to identify,analyse and report on performance requirements,mechanisms and actions required to address the performance of construction related small and medium size enterprises(SMEs)that are providing services for state owned enterprises(SOEs)in South Africa.The need for the project arose from the view that the absence of performance evaluation mechanism leads to the poor management of the performance of organisations involved in most SOE supply chain.This inevitably led to none creation of expected value in the system.Through a related literature study,the findings that have emerged so far suggest that it is notable that the SMEs related programmes in SOEs have not address performance and relationship management within their supply chain strategy in explicit terms as there is less or no means to record,measure and enhance SME contributions.These SMEs also recognise the fact that when their performances are poor and/or good,there is no difference and/or feedback mechanism to record it.

文摘Higher education increasingly emphasizes the unique role of aesthetic education in cultivating virtue and morality.From the perspective of integrating aesthetic education with teaching,this study develops an analytical framework to explore the theoretical foundations,practical pathways,and teaching mechanisms involved in interdisciplinary aesthetic education course construction at Sichuan University.Employing literature analysis and case studies,the paper systematically examines the theoretical basis of aesthetic education and its contemporary demands in higher education.Specifically,it focuses on Sichuan University’s initiatives in aesthetic education curriculum reform,covering practices such as curriculum design,faculty team development,resource coordination,and collaboration between internal and external institutions.Findings suggest that interdisciplinary aesthetic education courses enrich the content of aesthetic education in universities and enhance students’overall competence;however,these courses also face challenges like insufficient faculty and inadequate evaluation mechanisms during implementation.Consequently,this paper proposes strengthening top-level design,refining the curriculum system,enhancing faculty training,and improving evaluation mechanisms as recommendations for future improvement.This research aims to provide valuable references for aesthetic education reform in higher education in the new era,significantly contributing to interdisciplinary synergy and the comprehensive educational goal of integrating moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education.
文摘With the upgrading of tourism consumption patterns,the traditional renovation models of waterfront recreational spaces centered on landscape design can no longer meet the commercial and humanistic demands of modern cultural and tourism development.Based on scene theory as the analytical framework and taking the Xuan en Night Banquet Project in Enshi as a case study,this paper explores the design pathway for transforming waterfront areas in tourism cities from"spatial reconstruction"to"scene construction".The study argues that waterfront space renewal should transcend mere physical renovation.By implementing three core strategies:spatial narrative framework,ecological industry creation,and cultural empowerment,it is possible to construct integrated scenarios that blend cultural value,consumption spaces,and lifestyle elements.This approach ultimately fosters sustained vitality in waterfront areas and promotes the high-quality development of cultural and tourism industry.

文摘Under the background of the Healthy China strategy,the construction of teaching cases in the field of medical care and health is of great significance.This paper systematically analyzes the urgency,feasibility,challenges and future development paths of the construction of teaching cases in the field of medical care and health.With the intensification of the global aging trend and the continuous growth of the number of patients with chronic diseases,the field of medical care and health urgently needs professionals with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical ability.However,the current teaching case resources are scarce and the update is lagging behind,which is difficult to meet the needs of cultivating high-quality talents.Therefore,this paper proposes to use the popularization of network technology,the diversification of multimedia technology and big data technology to broaden the channels for case collection,improve the authenticity and timeliness of cases,and establish a scientific quality assessment and update mechanism.At the same time,specific solutions are proposed for bottleneck problems such as data integration and copyright interest distribution.Looking forward to the future,by strengthening interdisciplinary cooperation and improving the practicality and pertinence of cases,it will help promote the continuous improvement of the quality of education in the field of medical care and health,and provide strong support for coping with the challenges of population aging.
文摘In the context of rapid urbanization,high-density construction areas face significant challenges,including the reduction of ecological spaces and the deterioration of their functions.Planning and managing ecological spaces have emerged as essential strategies to address the conflict between urban development and ecological conservation.Using Jinjiang City,Fujian Province as the case study,this paper systematically examines the significance and primary challenges of ecological space planning in highdensity construction areas.It also identifies prevailing issues within the current research domain,including“an overemphasis on top-level design at the expense of implementation,a focus on isolated aspects rather than systemic integration,and prioritization of control over coordination”.This study proposes the key aspects of ecological space planning and management in high-density construction areas,focusing on three fundamental dimensions:human-centered demand orientation,the integration of top-down and bottomup linkage mechanisms,and a differentiated control system.Drawing on the full-element assessment of the ecosystem,ecological network construction,and full-process control system implemented in Jinjiang City,an integrated approach to ecological space governance,encompassing assessment,planning,and control,has been developed.This approach offers both theoretical insights and practical guidance for optimizing ecological spaces in comparable urban contexts.
文摘BACKGROUND Inferior vena cava(IVC)leiomyosarcomas are rare and aggressive tumors.Complete cure depends on achieving R0 resection,which often requires circumferential resection and reconstruction.Synthetic grafts have traditionally been used when venous continuity must be restored.However,the use of cadaveric IVC grafts for reconstruction has not been widely reported.CASE SUMMARY Herein,we present the case of a 64-year-old woman diagnosed with an intrahepatic IVC leiomyosarcoma with local invasion.The patient responded favorably to chemotherapy and subsequently underwent an en bloc right hepatectomy,retrohepatic IVC resection,and reconstruction with an interpositional cadaveric IVC graft.Serial imaging follow-ups until 2 years after the operation showed persistent patency of the graft and no graft-related complications.CONCLUSION Cadaveric IVC grafts are an alternative to synthetic grafts for reconstruction,with acceptable outcomes.Larger,long-term studies are necessary to validate these findings.

This universal form of <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">-variate probability distributions was obtained by means of “dependence functions” named “joiners” in the text. These joiners determine all the involved stochastic dependencies between the underlying random variables. However, in order that the presented formula (the form) represents a legitimate survival function, some necessary and sufficient conditions for the joiners had to be found. Basically, finding those conditions is the main task of this paper. This task was successfully performed for the case <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> = 2 and the main results for the case <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> = 3 were formulated as Theorem 1 and Theorem 2 in Section 4. Nevertheless, the hypothetical conditions valid for the general <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> ≥ 4 case were also formulated in Section 3 as the (very convincing) Hypothesis. As for the sufficient conditions for both the <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:;" "=""><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> = 3 and <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> ≥ 4 cases, the full generality was not achieved since two restrictions were imposed. Firstly, we limited ourselves to the, defined in the text, “continuous cases” (when the corresponding joint density exists and is continuous), and secondly we consider positive stochastic dependencies only. Nevertheless, the class of the <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">k<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">-variate distributions which can be constructed is very wide. The presented method of construction by means of joiners can be considered competitive to the <span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">copula<span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> methodology. As it is suggested in the paper the possibility of building a common theory of both copulae and joiners is quite possible, and the joiners may play the role of tools within the theory of copulae, and vice versa copulae may, for example, be used for finding proper joiners. Another independent feature of the joiners methodology is the possibility of constructing many new stochastic processes including stationary and Markovian.
文摘To alleviate the amount of work involved in constructing a domain ontology, starting with the base of an existing terminological-rich thesaurus is better than starting from scratch. With a case study of reengineering the Defense Science and Technology Thesaurus into a prototype military aircraft ontology, a four-phase thesaurus-based methodology is introduced and investigated, which consists of identifying the application purpose, overall design, designing in detail and evaluation. Designing in detail is the core step, converting the terms and semantic relationships of the thesaurus into an ontology and supplementing richer semantic relationships. The resulting prototype ontology includes 87 concepts and 34 relationships, and can be extended and scaled up to a full-fledged domain ontology in the future. Eight universal genres of relationships of this ontology are preliminarily summarized and analyzed, including equivalent relationships, approximate relationships, generic/abstract relationships, part/whole relationships, cause/effect relationships, entity/location relationships etc., and the normalization of semantic relationships is critical to the merging and reusing of follow-up multiple ontologies.

文摘BACKGROUND Autologous fat injection in facial reconstruction is a common cosmetic surgery.Although cerebral fat embolism(CFE)as a complication is rare,it carries serious health risks.CASE SUMMARY We present a case of a 29-year-old female patient who developed acute CFE following facial fat filling surgery.After the surgery,the patient experienced symptoms including headache,nausea,vomiting,and difficulty breathing,which was followed by neurological symptoms such as slurred speech and left-sided weakness.Comprehensive physical examination and auxiliary investigations,including blood tests,head and neck computed tomography angiography,and cranial magnetic resonance diffusion-weighted imaging,were performed upon admission.The clinical diagnosis was acute cerebral embolism following facial fat filling surgery.Treatment included measures to improve cerebral circulation,dehydration for intracranial pressure reduction,nutritional support,and rehabilitation therapy for left limb function.The patient showed a significant improvement in symptoms after 2 weeks of treatment.She recovered left limb muscle strength to grade 5,had clear speech,and experienced complete relief of headache.CONCLUSION Our case highlights the potential occurrence of severe complications in patients undergoing fat injection in facial reconstruction.To prevent these complications,plastic surgeons should enhance their professional knowledge and skills.

文摘The paper has analyzed the concept of ecological livable city,considered that small and medium cities as the major pattern of China's urbanization are more likely to become ecological livable cities compared with large cities.Based on the actual situation of Huaihua City,it has pointed out its advantages in transport,ecology,foundation and national characteristic,and analyzed existing problems in the construction of ecological livable city from the perspective of urban eco-environment.It considers that its urban ecological planning is to be perfect,urban environment pollution is still serious and people's consciousness for environmental protection is to be improved.On this basis,relevant suggestions have been proposed for ecological livable urban construction in Huaihua City,emphasizing it should perfect urban ecological planning,enhance environmental pollution treatment,intensify environmental protection education,and improve people's consciousness for environmental protection.

文摘Through analyzing influence of urban development and construction on ecological water conservancy landscapes,common ecological problems of existing water conservancy landscapes were explored.Causes responsible for these problems were summarized as poor knowledge about ecology,unclear objective of construction,water conservancy projects violating the principle of conserving and restoring ecological conditions,and degraded biodiversity of water environment.It was stressed that ecological construction of water conservancy landscapes should break traditional water conservancy concepts,adopt ecological treatment and build ecological landscapes;geomorphic,hydrological and hydraulic of original river systems should be maintained as much as possible;sewage not discharged to natural water directly;water circulation enhanced to promote self-purification capacity of water;necessary purification measures adopted for rivers and lakes.On the basis of above strategies,construction of ecological water conservancy landscapes in Nanchang City was taken for example to analyze problems in the previous construction and present achievements,then principles to be followed in the future construction and protection of ecological water conservancy landscapes in Nanchang City were proposed.

文摘BACKGROUND To treat flexor pollicis longus(FPL)muscle function loss,the 4th flexor digitorum superficialis(FDS)to the FPL tendon transfer is preferred as a reconstruction method.Various complications can occur during transfer.However,median nerve neuropathy has not been reported yet.We present a case of median nerve neuropathy caused by irritation of suture knots of the 4th FDS to the FPL tendon transfer with a review of the literature.CASE SUMMARY A 52-year-old male patient presented with paresthesia along median nerve distribution of right hand after tendon transfer.He complained of right thumb flexion limitation due to FPL function loss so authors performed the 4th FDS to FPL transfer using Pulvertaft weave technique.FPL function loss was due to adhesion resulting from repeated surgery of radius shaft.He had a history of radius shaft open fracture 9 years ago and nonunion 7 years ago.During surgery,FPL muscle was severely adhered and indistinguishable.However,tendon continuity remained intact.After tendon transfer,he experienced paresthesia along median nerve distribution upon movement of thumb.He was diagnosed with median nerve neuropathy caused by irritation of tendon suture knots.Exploration was then performed.The median nerve was irritated by suture knots of transferred tendon.Thus,knots were removed.Twelve months later,he demonstrated thumb flexion of 80°.Additionally,median nerve neuropathy symptoms fully resolved.CONCLUSION Median nerve neuropathy can occur after tendon transfer from irritation of suture knots.Covering knots using surrounding tissue is recommended.

文摘The research selected 13 factors from individual and family characters, construction site characters and work characters and analyzed the influences on the willingness of purchasing houses on construction sites with Logistic regression mod- el. The results showed that gender, age differences, personality, willingness on fami- ly land conversion, management of enterprises on construction sites, relatives and friends on construction lands, and Job satisfaction were approved by significant testing, but marital status, annual household income, the rate of migrant worker in a household, transportation in work city, and corporate reputation were not approved by significant testing.
