The effects of xC/xO and the atmospheres on the extent of reduction also were investigated. The results indicate that the fractional reaction increased proportionally with temperature increasing and heating temperature is the significant influence factor to the reaction of carbon bearing pellets. The optimum xC/xO is 1.2 and the effect of atmosphere on the reduction of iron oxides is almost negligible. The results can be interpreted that the reaction was initially controlled by a mixed controlled mechanism of carbon gasification and interface chemical reaction, and in the later stage, interface chemical reaction became the rate-controlling step. Apparent activation energy values of reduction at different levels of fractional reaction were calculated. Before F (fraction of reaction)=0.5, the apparent activation energy ranges from 66.39 to 75.64 kJ/mol, while after F=0.5, the apparent activation energy is 80.98 to 85.37 kJ/mol.展开更多

文摘Multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by chronic, slowly expanding lesions with the accumulation of myeloid cells, which lead to brain atrophy and progressive disability. The role of mitochondria, especially mitochondrial respiratory complexes and metabolites,in controlling myeloid immune responses,is well-documented but not fully understood in diseases of the central nervous system (CNS).The groundbreaking study by Prof.Peruzzotti-Jametti et al.[1],entitled"Mitochondrial complexⅠactivity in microglia sustains neuroinflammation"published in Nature, delves into the intricate dynamics between mitochondrial function within microglia and the perpetuation of chronic neuroinflammation, specifically in MS.The core point of their investigation is the hypothesis that mitochondrial complexⅠ(CI) activity, through a mechanism known as reverse electron transport (RET),generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) in microglia, thereby sustaining inflammatory response in the CNS.This increases ROS production from the mitochondria, which is thought to be a crucial factor in the maintenance of a pro-inflammatory state in the microglia, contributing to the pathology of MS and similar neuroinflammatory diseases.

文摘Binuclear complexes have attracted extensive attention in fields such as catalysis because of their likely bimetallic synergistic effect;however, the mechanism and factors influencing this synergism remain unclear. In this work, six bis-β-ketoimine binuclear titanium complexes4a-4f containing different alkylthio sidearms and configurations were synthesized and characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum(~1H-NMR),nuclear magnetic resonance carbon spectrum(^(13)C-NMR),Fourier transform infrared spectrum(FTIR),and elemental analysis. The intermetallic distances of isomeric complexes 4a,4d,4e and 4f determined through density functional theory(DFT)optimization were in the order 4a<4d<4e<4f and were found to significantly influence the catalytic performance for ethylene(co)polymerization. These complexes could efficiently catalyze ethylene polymerization and ethylene/1-hexene or ethylene/1-octene copolymerization with high activity to produce highmolecular-weight ethylene homo-and co-polymers.Among the three binuclear titanium complexes 4a-4c with similar structures but different lengths of alkylthio sidearms, complex 4a,which contained the shortest methylthio sidearm, exhibited the highest activity for ethylene polymerization and copolymerization with 1-hexene or 1-octene.Additionally,for ethylene/1-hexene or ethylene/1-octene copolymerization,it showed the highest comonomer incorporation compared with propylthio(4b)and octylthio(4c)derivatives because of the smaller steric hindrance of the methyl group in 4a and the more open coordination space for vinyl monomers.Furthermore, among the isomeric complexes 4a,4d,4e and4f,complex 4a with the shortest bimetallic distance also exhibited the highest activity towards ethylene(co)polymerization, and the highest 1-hexene or 1-octene incorporation in comparison with its regioisomeric counterparts 4d,4e and p-phenyl-bridged analog 4f,owing to a more appropriate bimetallic distance that is conducive to a synergistic effect.

文摘The complex topography of natural bedrock shorelines on islands necessitates detailed model testing to thoroughly inves-tigate wave overtopping mechanisms and their variation patterns. This understanding is vital for optimizing the elevation of coastal structures to meet the design requirements for wave overtopping and to ensure safety and efficacy. This paper investigates a nuclear power plant project on an island in Zhejiang Province,China. This study employs small-scale overall model tests and large-scale lo-cal model tests to examine the complex dynamics of wave interaction with the island’s shoreline. It analyzes the influences of wave parameters, shoreline geometry, and underwater topography on wave overtopping behavior.Comparisons between physical model re-sults and empirical formulae reveal substantial discrepancies in overtopping rates across different model scales. The results stress the remarkable effect of accurate underwater topography representation on wave overtopping predictions and emphasize the need for pre-cise topographic modeling. The results also show that overtopping discharges for complex terrains deviate considerably from values determined using traditional empirical formulas for breakwater overtopping. This outcome indicates that conventional methods may insufficiently address the complexities of natural coastal features. To guarantee reliable predictions of overtopping volumes at specif-ic elevations along complex coastlines, this study advocates employing physical modeling across numerous scales while accounting for detailed terrain and hydrodynamic characteristics.

文摘Subduction initiation is a critical part of the plate tectonic system, but its geodynamic process is still poorly understood due to the lack of well-preserved geological records.Based on new zircon U–Pb–Hf isotopic and whole-rock geochemical data,we report the first discovery of a latest Cambrian–Early Ordovician forearc-arc rock sequence in the Eastern Alps. This sequence includes granitic gneisses, amphibolites, and amphibole plagiogneisses from the ophiolitic Speik Complex and Gleinalpe Complex. These rocks exhibit geochemical affinities with typical oceanic plagiogranites, forearc basalts(FABs),and island arc basalts, respectively. The latest Cambrian plagiogranitic protoliths(491±2 Ma)are shearing-type plagiogranites that were formed in the tectonic setting of forearc spreading. The latest Cambrian FABs(496–489 Ma)have similar geochemical compositions and positiveεHf(t)values(+2.5 to+14.9)to the depleted mid-ocean ridge basalts. However, they show depletion in high field strength elements(HFSEs;e.g.,Nb,Ta,and Zr)and have relatively low Ti/V ratios. These features suggest that they were derived from a depleted mantle source modified by subducting slab-released components in a forearc environment. The Early Ordovician basaltic protoliths(476–472 Ma)of amphibole plagiogneisses show enrichment in large ion lithophile elements and depletion in HFSEs(e.g.Nb,Ta,Zr,and Hf),implying a mature island arc environment. These metaigneous rocks, along with the coeval boninite-like high-Mg amphibolites near the study area, form a typical rock sequence resembling that of the Izu–Bonin–Mariana(IBM)arc system. The Speik and Gleinalpe complexes document a complete magmatic evolution from subduction initiation to mature arc development within the West Proto-Tethys Ocean.Integrating our new data with published work,we reconstruct the late Ediacaran–early Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the northern Gondwana.During the late Ediacaran–early Cambrian, the rollback of the West Proto-Tethys oceanic plate triggered the separation of the Wechsel-Silvretta-Gleinalpe continental arc from the northern Gondwana. This process led to the formation of the Speik back-arc oceanic basin,a southwestern branch of the West Proto-Tethys Ocean. In the latest Cambrian–Early Ordovician, subduction initiation occurred in the Speik Ocean, which subsequently developed into an intra-oceanic arc system.During the Early Devonian, the Speik Ocean closed and the Wechsel-Silvretta-Gleinalpe continental arc reattached to the Gondwana,as evidenced by the metamorphic event at ca.400 Ma.

文摘Passive optical motion capture technology is an effective mean to conduct high-precision pose estimation of small scenes of mobile robots;nevertheless,in the case of complex background and stray light interference in the scene, due to the infuence of target adhesion and environmental reflection, this technology cannot estimate the pose accurately.A passive binocular optical motion capture technology under complex illumination based on binocular camera and fixed retroreflective marker balls has been proposed.By fixing multiple hemispherical retrorefective marker balls on a rigid base,it uses binocular camera for depth estimation to obtain the fixed position relationship between the feature points. After performing unsupervised state estimation without manual operation,it overcomes the infuence of refection spots in the background.Meanwhile, contour extraction and ellipse least square fitting are used to extract the marker balls with incomplete shape as the feature points,so as to solve the problem of target adhesion in the scene.A FANUC m10i-a robot moving with 6-DOF is used for verification using the above methods in a complex lighting environment of a welding laboratory. The result shows that the average of absolute position errors is 5.793mm,the average of absolute rotation errors is 1.997°the average of relative position errors is 0.972 mm,and the average of relative rotation errors is 0.002°.Therefore,this technology meets the requirements of high-precision measurement in a complex lighting environment when estimating the 6-DOF-motion mobile robot and has very significant application prospects in complex scenes.

文摘Triangular fibrocartilage complex injuries are common in amateur and professional sports. These injuries are mainly caused by acute or chronic repetitive axial loads on the wrist, particularly on the ulnar side and in association with rotations or radial/ulnar deviations. In order to treat professional athletes,a detailed specific knowledge of the pathology is needed. Moreover, the clinician should fully understand the specific and unique environment and needs of the athletes, their priorities and goals, the type of sport, the time of the season, and the position played. An early diagnosis and appropriate management with the quickest possible recovery time are the uppermost goals for both the athlete and the surgeon.A compromise between conservative vs surgical indications, athletes’needs and expectations, and financial implications should be achieved.Arthroscopic procedures should be timely planned when indicated as they could allow early diagnosis and treatment at the same time.Conservative measures are often used as first line treatment when possible.Peripheral lesions are treated by arthroscopic repair, whilst central lesions are treated by arthroscopic debridement.Further procedures(such as the Wafer procedure, ulnar osteotomies, etc.)have specific indications and great implications with regard to rehabilitation.

文摘The Jitang metamorphic complex is key to studying the tectonic evolution of the Northern Lancangjiang zone.Through structural-lithological mapping, structural analysis and laboratory testing, the composition of the Jitang metamorphic complex was determined. The macro-and microstructural analyses of the ductile detachment shear zone(Guoxuepu ductile shear zone,2–4 km wide)between the metamorphic complex and the overlying sedimentary cap show that the shear sense of the ductile shear zones is top-to-the-southeast.The presence of various deformation features and quartz C-axis electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)fabric analysis suggests multiple deformation events occurring at different temperatures. The average stress is 25.68 MPa,with the strain rates(έ)ranging from 9.77×10^(−14)s^(−1)to 6.52×10^(−16)s^(−1).The finite strain of the Guoxuepu ductile shear zone indicates an elongated strain pattern. The average kinematic vorticity of the Guoxuepu ductile shear zone is 0.88,implying that the shear zone is dominated by simple shear. The muscovite selected from the protomylonite samples in the Guoxuepu ductile shear zone yields a 40Ar-39Ar age of 60.09±0.38 Ma.It is suggested that, coeval with the initial Indo–Eurasian collision, the development of strike-slip faults led to a weak and unstable crust, upwelling of lower crust magma, then induced the detachment of the Jitang metamorphic complex in the Eocene.

文摘The uncontrollable growth of Zn dendrites accompanied by side reactions severely impedes the industrialized process of zinc ion electrochemical energy storage devices.Herein,we propose a practical metalorganic complex interface layer to manipulate the zinc ion flux and electric field intensity, enabling highly homogeneous zinc electrodeposition. The zinc-terephthalic acid complex(ZnPTA)with lower adsorption energy for zinc ion(-1.3 eV)builds a zincophilic interface favoring the ordered nucleation and growth of Zn.Moreover, the ZnPTA layer can serve as physical barrier to protect the newly deposited Zn from corrosion in the aqueous electrolyte. The modified Zn anode with the ZnPTA layer(ZnPTA@Zn)demonstrates excellent cycling stability more than 3000 h at 1 mA/cm^(2).Besides,the zinc-ion battery and zinc-ion hybrid capacitor using the ZnPTA@Zn electrode deliver outstanding cycle performance(up to 5500 cycles with high residual capacity ratio of 77.9%).This work provides a promising metal-organic complex interface design on enhancing the performance of Zn metal anode.

文摘BACKGROUND Sepsis often causes severe liver injury and leads to poor patient outcomes.Early detection of sepsis-induced liver injury(SILI)and early treatment are key to improving outcomes.AIM To investigate the clinical characteristics of SILI patients and analyze the associated risk factors,to identify potential sensitive biomarkers.METHODS Retrospective analysis of clinical data from 546 patients with sepsis treated in the intensive care unit of the 908th Hospital of Chinese People’s Liberation Army Joint Logistic Support Force between May 2018 and December 2022.The patients were divided into the sepsis group(n=373)and SILI group(n=173)based on the presence of acute liver injury within 2 hours of admission. We used the random forest algorithm to analyze risk factors and assessed potential diagnostic markers of SILI using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve,Kaplan-Meier survival curves, subgroup analysis and correlation analysis.RESULTS Compared with the sepsis group, tissue plasminogen activator-inhibitor complex(t-PAIC)levels in serum were significantly higher in the SILI group(P<0.05).Random forest results showed that t-PAIC was an independent risk factor for SILI,with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.862(95%confidence interval:0.832-0.892).Based on the optimal cut-off value of 11.9 ng/mL,patients at or above this threshold had significantly higher levels of lactate and Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation II score. The survival rate of these patients was also significantly worse(hazard ratio=2.2,95%confidence interval:1.584-3.119,P<0.001).Spearman’s correlation coefficients were 0.42 between t-PAIC and lactate, and 0.41 between t-PAIC and aspartate transaminase.Subgroup analysis showed significant differences in t-PAIC levels between patients with different severity of liver dysfunction.CONCLUSION T-PAIC can serve as a diagnostic indicator for SILI,with its elevation correlated with the severity of SILI.

文摘The Daerlong granitic complex in Linkou area is located at the convergence position of the Jiamusi and Songliao blocks.A systematic study of field geology, petrography, zircon U-Pb dating and wholerock major and trace elements has been conducted for the Daerlong granitic complex, aiming to determine its formation age, petrogenesis and tectonic setting, and further constrain the nature and evolution of the Mudanjiang Ocean.Field and petrographic observations show that the Daerlong granitic complex mainly consists of three rock types from old to young,i.e.,biotite granodiorite, syenogranite and monzogranite.Geochemical data suggest that all the types of granitoids are high in silicon, rich in potassium, moderate in aluminum(A/CNK=0.94-1.10),poor in iron and magnesium, rich in LILEs and depleted in HFSEs,belonging to the weakly peraluminous high-K calc-alkaline series.Combined with mineral assemblages and geochemical discrimination diagrams,it can be determined that the studied granitoids are of igneous crustderived I-type origin, which underwent strong fractional crystallization and crystal accumulation during magmatic evolution.Zircon LA-ICP-MS U-Pb dating results show that the different types of granitoids were emplaced in a wide age range from 301 to 240 Ma,indicating a long-lived Late Carboniferous to Middle Triassic granitic magmatism occurred in the western Jiamusi Block. The Daerlong granitoids have similar geochemical characteristics of subduction-related igneous rocks.Considering the spatial and temporal distribution of Late Paleozoic to Early Mesozoic igneous rocks within eastern Heilongjiang Province,it is concluded that the Daerlong granitic complex was formed in an active continental margin setting rather than a continental rift environment. The results suggest that the Mudanjiang Ocean might not be a limited ocean evolved from the rifting of the unified Jiamusi-Songnen microcontinent.

文摘The kinetics of isothermal reduction of the carbon bearing pellets, which were mainly composed of Bayanobo complex iron ore and pulverized coal, was investigated by thermogravimetry at the temperature of 1 273-1 673 K. Before F (fraction of reaction)=0.5, the apparent activation energy ranges from 66.39 to 75.64 kJ/mol, while after F=0.5, the apparent activation energy is 80.98 to 85.37 kJ/mol.

文摘BACKGROUND Schizophrenia afflicts 1%of the world population.Clinical studies suggest that schizophrenia patients may have an imbalance of mitochondrial energy metabolism via inhibition of mitochondrial complex I activity. Moreover, recent studies have shown that ERVWE1 is also a risk factor for schizophrenia.Nevertheless, there is no available literature concerning the relationship between complex I deficits and ERVWE1 in schizophrenia.Identifying risk factors and blood-based biomarkers for schizophrenia may provide new guidelines for early interventions and prevention programs.AIM To address novel potential risk factors and the underlying mechanisms of mitochondrial complex I deficiency caused by ERVWE1 in schizophrenia.METHODS Quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to detect differentially expressed risk factors in blood samples.Clinical statistical analyses were performed by median analyses and Mann-Whitney U analyses.Spearman’s rank correlation was applied to examine the correlation between different risk factors in blood samples.qPCR,western blot analysis, and luciferase assay were performed to confirm the relationship among ERVWE1,cytoplasmic polyadenylation element-binding protein 1(CPEB1),NADH dehydrogenase ubiquinone flavoprotein 2(NDUFV2),and NDUFV2 pseudogene(NDUFV2P1).The complex I enzyme activity microplate assay was carried out to evaluate the complex I activity induced by ERVWE1.RESULTS Herein,we reported decreasing levels of CPEB1 and NDUFV2 in schizophrenia patients.Further studies showed that ERVWE1 was negatively correlated with CPEB1 and NDUFV2 in schizophrenia.Moreover,NDUFV2P1 was increased and demonstrated a significant positive correlation with ERVWE1 and a negative correlation with NDUFV2 in schizophrenia. In vitro experiments disclosed that ERVWE1 suppressed NDUFV2 expression and promoter activity by increasing NDUFV2P1 level. The luciferase assay revealed that ERVWE1 could enhance the promoter activity of NDUFV2P1.Additionally,ERVWE1 downregulated the expression of CPEB1 by suppressing the promoter activity, and the 400 base pair sequence at the 3′terminus of the promoter was the minimum sequence required.Advanced studies showed that CPEB1 participated in regulating the NDUFV2P1/NDUFV2 axis mediated by ERVWE1.Finally,we found that ERVWE1 inhibited complex I activity in SH-SY5Y cells via the CPEB1/NDUFV2P1/NDUFV2 signaling pathway.CONCLUSION In conclusion,CPEB1 and NDUFV2 might be novel potential blood-based biomarkers and pathogenic factors in schizophrenia. Our findings also reveal a novel mechanism of ERVWE1 in the etiology of schizophrenia.
文摘This article chronicles a failed research project. We designed and carried out a psychological intervention aimed at increasing esogastric and lung cancer patients’emotional competencies after treatments. We present the final protocol of the study,a randomized controlled trial in a public hospital, and describe the difficulties encountered and our subsequent reflections,to provide researchers and clinicians with advice for the implementation of such interventions.Firstly, the role of psychology, emotions, and emotional competencies,is still underacknowledged in cancer care.Pedagogical efforts must be made to convince both physicians and patients of the importance of those elements.Secondly and consequently, even distressed patients sure to benefit from such an intervention,do not take it up.In particular, male patients often declined the intervention due to gender stereotypes, and as such creativity is needed to present such interventions in a motivating way for patients. Finally, and most importantly, even if there is a good rationale for a psychological intervention and all favorable conditions are present,it is essential to first conduct a feasibility/pilot study.Indeed, even the most thorough preparation is no guarantee of anticipating all issues due to important gaps between theory and practice.

文摘In our previous study,a novel organic selenium compound Eb was synthesized and found to have significant antitumor activity with much less toxicity compared with the leading compound Ebselen.Unfortunately,Eb was practically insoluble in water (2.57 μg/mL) and had very low oral bioavailability, thus its clinical application was greatly limited. In the present study, the inclusion complex of Eb with 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HP-βCD) was prepared and pharmacokinetics of Eb and the inclusion complex were investigated. The water solubility of Eb was dramatically enhanced by inclusion with HP-βCD,which reached 8.4 mg/mL.The pharmacokinetic study showed that the elimination half-life (t 1/2β) of Eb was between 22 h and 30 h and the distribution half-life (t 1/2α) of Eb was 1 h.The results indicated that Eb was rapidly distributed to tissues but slowly eliminated in rats. The absolute bioavailability of Eb/HP-βCD inclusion complex solution through the oral route was 28.3%,and it was 1552% that of Eb in its pure form.In summary, the absorption of Eb in the Eb/HP-βCD inclusion complex was better and faster than that of Eb in its pure form.

文摘BACKGROUND Lisfranc injuries have not received much attention by orthopedic doctors in the past, and there is little related research on the diagnosis and treatment of these injuries. In recent years with the rise in foot and ankle surgery, doctors are now paying more attention to this type of injury. However, there is still a high rate of missed diagnosis due to insufficient attention causing treatment delays or inadequate treatments, which eventually result in greater sequelae;including long-term pain, arthritis, foot deformity etc.In particular, for cases with a mild Lisfranc joint complex injury, the incidence of sequelae is higher.AIM To select an active surgical treatment for an atypical Lisfranc joint complex injury and to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the surgical treatment.METHODS The clinical data of 18 patients, including 10 males and 8 females aged 20-64 years with Lisfranc injuries treated in our department from January 2017 to September 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. All patients were treated with an open reduction and internal fixation method using locking titanium mini-plates and hollow screws or Kirschner wires.X-ray images were taken and follow-up was performed monthly after the operation;the internal fixation was then removed 4-5 mo after the operation;and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)score was used for evaluation on the last follow-up.RESULTS All patients were followed up for 6-12 mo.A good/excellent AOFAS score was observed in 88.9%of patients.CONCLUSION For atypical Lisfranc joint complex injuries, active open reduction and internal fixation can be performed to enable patients to obtain a good prognosis and satisfactory functional recovery.
