Objective To probe into the impacts on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in ischemic brain tissue treated with cluster puncture on scalp acupoints in rats, Methods 128 rats were randomized into pseudo-operation group, model group, scalp-needling group and cluster-needling group, In scalp-needling group, penetration method was used on the focal side from Bǎihuì (百会 GV20) to Qǔbīn (曲鬓 GB7), and in cluster-needling group, penetration method was used on both sides from GV20 to GB7, and a common needling on GV 20. Needles were punctured 2 mm in depth, constantly rotated for 10min, retained for 2 h. Immunohistrochemical method was applied to determine VEGF expression and microvessel density (MVD). Results With the intervention of cluster puncture on scalp acupoints, VEGF: expressions on every time-spot after ischemia were enhanced apparently, superior to those in scalp-needling group. On the three time-spots of the 7^th, 14^th and 21^st days, MVD was increased after cluster puncture on scale acupoints, superior to those in scalp-needling group. Conclusion Cluster puncture on scalp acupoints up-regulated VEGF expression and promoted regeneration of microvessel. 展开更多

Many technologies have emerged related with pervasive computing vision, which can give support for AAL. One of the most reliable approaches is based on wireless sensor networks(WSNs). In this paper, we propose a coverage-aware unequal clustering protocol with load separation(CUCPLS) for data gathering of AAL applications based on WSNs. Firstly, the coverage overlap factor for nodes is introduced that accounts for the degree of target nodes covered. In addition, to balance the intra-cluster and inter-cluster energy consumptions, different competition radiuses of CHs are computed theoretically in different rings, and smaller clusters are formed near the sink. Moreover, two CHs are selected in each cluster for load separation to alleviate the substantial energy consumption difference between a single CH and its member nodes. Furthermore, a backoff waiting time is adopted during the selection of the two CHs to reduce the number of control messages employed. Simulation results demonstrate that the CUCPLS not only can achieve better coverage performance, but also balance the energy consumption of a network and prolong network lifetime. 展开更多

Several important equilibrium Si isotope fractionation factors among minerals, organic molecules and the H_4SiO_4 solution are complemented to facilitate the explanation of the distributions of Si isotopes in Earth's surface environments. The results reveal that,in comparison to aqueous H_4SiO_4,heavy Si isotopes will be significantly enriched in secondary silicate minerals. On the contrary,quadra-coordinated organosilicon complexes are enriched in light silicon isotope relative to the solution. The extent of ^(28)Si-enrichment in hyper-coordinated organosilicon complexes was found to be the largest. In addition, the large kinetic isotope effect associated with the polymerization of monosilicic acid and dimer was calculated, and the results support the previous statement that highly ^(28)Sienrichment in the formation of amorphous quartz precursor contributes to the discrepancy between theoretical calculations and field observations. With the equilibrium Si isotope fractionation factors provided here,Si isotope distributions in many of Earth's surface systems can be explained. For example, the change of bulk soil δ^(30)Si can be predicted as a concave pattern with respect to the weathering degree, with the minimum value where allophane completely dissolves and the total amount of sesquioxides and poorly crystalline minerals reaches their maximum. When, under equilibrium conditions, the well-crystallized clays start to precipitate from the pore solutions, the bulk soil δ^(30)Si will increase again and reach a constant value.Similarly, the precipitation of crystalline smectite and the dissolution of poorly crystalline kaolinite may explain the δ^(30)Si variations in the ground water profile. The equilibrium Si isotope fractionations among the quadracoordinated organosilicon complexes and the H_4SiO_4solution may also shed light on the Si isotope distributions in the Si-accumulating plants. 展开更多

To understand the pollution characteristics of atmospheric particles and heavy metals in winter in Chang-Zhu-Tan city clusters, China, total suspended particulate (TSP) and PMI0 samples were collected in cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan from December 2011 to January 2012, and heavy metals of Cd, Pb, Cr, and As were analyzed. It shows that the average TSP concentration in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan were (183 ± 73), (201± 84) and (190 ±66) μg/m3 respectively, and the average PM10 were (171 ± 82), (178 ± 65) and (179 ± 55) μg/m3 respectively. The lowest TSP and PM10 concentrations occurred at the background Shaping site of Changsha. The average ratio of p(PM10)/p(TSP) was 91.9%, ranging from 81.3% to 98.9%. Concerning heavy metals, in TSP samples, the concentration of Cr, As, Cd and Pb were 28.8-56.5, 18.1-76.3, 3.9-26.1 and 148.0-460.9 ng/m3, respectively, while in PMI0 samples, were 16.4--42.1, 15.5-67.9, 3.3-22.2 and 127.9-389.3 ng/m3, respectively. The enrichment factor of Cd was the highest, followed by Pb and As, while that of Cr was the lowest. 展开更多

Statistical analyses of the quality parameters have been conducted. Factor analyses are applied to extract five factors from the water quality parameters of Area 1;Factor 1 accounts for more than 38% of the variance among water quality. Cations including B, Na+, Mg2+, and K+ with anions including Cl<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span> and <span style="white-space:normal;">SO</span>42<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span> were loaded significantly. It represents the variation in the geological formations penetrated by the wells. For Azraq wells, five factors were extracted. Factor 1 accounts for more than 50% of the variance in water quality. Six of water quality parameters were loaded on Factor 1. These parameters included cations represented by B, Na+, and Mg2+ in addition to Cl<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span> and <span style="white-space:normal;">SO</span>42<span style="white-space:nowrap;">&minus;</span> as anions. Cluster analysis classified the Harrana wells into three groups, i.e., cluster I included 26 wells with minimum mean concentrations of cations and anions, while cluster III included the wells with the highest concentrations in the water quality parameters. Cluster II included eight wells with intermediate concentrations between clusters I and II. The wells in the Azraq area are clustered into three groups, i.e., cluster I included seven wells with the lowest water quality, while cluster II includes 12 wells and shows the lowest concentrations of ions. Cluster III includes five wells with intermediate concentrations of ions. 展开更多

A QCD multiquark cluster system is studied in the relativistic harmonic oscillator potential model (RHOPM), and the electromagnetic form factors of the pion, proton and deuteron in the RHOPM are predicted. The calculated theoretical results are then compared with existing experimental data, finding very good agreement between the theoretical predictions and experimental data for these three target particles. We claim that this model can be applied to study QCD hadronic properties, particularly neutron properties, and to find six-quark cluster and/or nine-quark cluster probabilities in light nuclei such as helium 3He and tritium 3H. This is a problem of particular importance and interest in quark nuclear physics. 展开更多

Cluster radioactivity is studied within the generalized liquid drop model(GLDM),in which the shell correction energy, pairing energy, and cluster preformation factor are considered. The calculations show significant improvements and can reproduce the experimental data within a factor of 8.04 after considering these physical effects. In addition, the systematic trend of the cluster preformation factors is discussed in terms of the N_(p)N_(n)scheme to study the influence of the valence proton-neutron interaction and shell effect on cluster radioactivity. It is found that log10Pcis linearly related to N_(p)N_(n).This is in agreement with a recent study[L.Qi et al.,Phys.Rev.C 108,014325(2023)],in which log10Pc,obtained using different theoretical models and treatment methods than those used in this study, also had a linear relationship with N_(p)N_(n).Combined with the work by Qi et al.,this study suggests that the linear relationship between log10Pcand N_(p)N_(n)is model-independent and both the shell effect and valence proton-neutron interaction play essential roles in cluster radioactivity. An analytical formula is proposed to calculate the cluster preformation factor based on the N_(p)N_(n)scheme.In addition, the cluster preformation factors and the cluster radioactivity half-lives of some heavy nuclei are predicted, which can provide a reference for future experiments. 展开更多
