An approximately optimal adaptive arithmetic coding (AC) system using a forbidden symbol (FS) over noisy channels was proposed which allows one to jointly and adaptively design the source decoding and channel correcting in a single process, with superior performance compared with traditional separated techniques. The concept of adaptiveness is applied not only to the source model but also to the amount of coding redundancy. In addition, an improved branch metric computing algorithm and a faster sequential searching algorithm compared with the system proposed by Grangetto were proposed. The proposed system is tested in the case of image transmission over the AWGN channel, and compared with traditional separated system in terms of packet error rate and complexity. We explicitly obtain the entanglement fidelities. The recovery operators of the [6,2] code are given. In this paper, a new kind of simple-encoding irregular systematic LDPC codes suitable for one-relay coded cooperation is designed, where the proposed joint iterative decoding is effectively performed in the destination which is in accordance with the corresponding joint Tanner graph characterizing two different component LDPC codes used by the source and relay in ideal and non-ideal relay cooperations. The theoretical analysis and simulations show that the coded cooperation scheme obviously outperforms the coded non-cooperation one under the same code rate and decoding complex. The significant performance improvement can be virtually credited to the additional mutual exchange of the extrinsic information resulted by the LDPC code employed by the source and its counterpart used by the relay in both ideal and non-ideal cooperations. 展开更多

Along with the proliferating research interest in semantic communication(Sem Com),joint source channel coding(JSCC)has dominated the attention due to the widely assumed existence in efficiently delivering information semantics.Nevertheless,this paper challenges the conventional JSCC paradigm and advocates for adopting separate source channel coding(SSCC)to enjoy a more underlying degree of freedom for optimization.We demonstrate that SSCC,after leveraging the strengths of the Large Language Model(LLM)for source coding and Error Correction Code Transformer(ECCT)complemented for channel coding,offers superior performance over JSCC.Our proposed framework also effectively highlights the compatibility challenges between Sem Com approaches and digital communication systems,particularly concerning the resource costs associated with the transmission of high-precision floating point numbers.Through comprehensive evaluations,we establish that assisted by LLM-based compression and ECCT-enhanced error correction,SSCC remains a viable and effective solution for modern communication systems.In other words,separate source channel coding is still what we need. 展开更多

An error control coding scheme based on low density parity check(LDPC) codes with soft decision decoding algorithm is proposed to improve the bit-error-rate(BER) performance of an on-off keying(OOK) modulated THz signal through atmospheric channel. The THz wave propagation characteristics and channel model in atmosphere is set up. Numerical simulations validate the great performance of LDPC codes against the atmospheric fading and demonstrate the huge potential in future ultra-high speed beyond Gbps THz communications. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose a low-complexity soft DF scheme based on polar codes, which features two key techniques: a low-complexity cyclic redundancy check(CRC) aided list successive cancellation(CALSC) decoder and a soft information calculation method. At the relay node, a low-complexity CALSC decoder is designed to reduce the computational complexity by adjusting the list size according to the reliabilities of decoded bits. Based on the path probability metric of the CALSC decoder, we propose a method to compute the soft information of the decoded bits in CALSC. Simulation results show that our proposed scheme outperforms the soft DF based on low-density parity-check codes and the soft DF with belief propagation or soft cancellation decoder, especially in the case when the source-relay channel is at the high signal-to-ratio region. 展开更多

Often partitions into some subsets are considered, on which a functional is optimized [2]. In the present work, the partitions of the n-dimensional space into subsets with “zero” limitation are considered. Such partitions allow us to construct the set of the group codes, V, and the set of the channels, A, between the arbitrary elements, V and A, having correcting relation between them. Descriptions of some classes of both perfect and imperfect codes in the additive channel are presented, too. A way of constructing of group codes correcting the errors in the additive channels is presented, and this method is a further generalization of Hamming’s method of code construction. 展开更多

This paper proposes a closed-form joint space-time channel and Direction Of Arrival (DOA) blind estimation algorithm for space-thne coded Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) systems equipped with a Uniform Linear Array (ULA) at the base station in frequency-selective fading environments. The algorithm uses an ESPRIT-like method to separate multiple co-channel users with different impinging DOAs. As a result, the DOAs for multiple users are obtained. In particular, a set of signal subspaces, every one of which is spanned by the space-time vector channels of an individual user, are also obtained. From these signal subspaces, the space-time channels of multiple users are estimated using the subspace method. Computer simulations illustrate both the validity and the overall performance of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

However VLC methods are very sensitive to channel noise. The goal of this paper is to salvage as many data from the damaged packets as possible for higher audiovisual quality. This paper proposes an integrated joint source-channel decoder (I-JSCD) at a symbol-level using three-dimensional (3-D) trellis representation for first-order Markov sources encoded with VLC source code and convolutional channel code. This method combines source code and channel code state-spaces and bit-lengths to construct a two-dimensional (2-D) state-space, and then develops a 3-D trellis and a maximum a-posterior (MAP) algorithm to estimate the source sequence symbol by symbol. Experiment results demonstrate that our method results in significant improvement in decoding performance, it can salvage at least half of (50%) data in any channel error rate, and can provide additional error resilience to VLC stream like image, audio, video stream over high error rate links. 展开更多

Performance of Polar Codes for OFDM-Based UWB Channel

A multiuser Ultra Wide Band (UWB) channel suffers seriously from realistic impairments. Among this, multipath fading and interferences, such as Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and Inter Symbol Interference (ISI), that significantly degrade the system performance. In this paper, a polar coding technique, originally developed by Arikan, is suggested to enhance the BER performance of indoor UWB based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communications. Moreover, Interleave Division Multiple Access (IDMA) scheme has been considered for multiuser detection depending on the turbo type Chip-By-Chip (CBC) iterative detection strategy. Three different models as Symmetric Alpha Stable (SαS), Laplace model and Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), have been introduced for approximating the interferences which are more realistic for UWB system. The performance of the proposed Polar-coded IDMA OFDM-based UWB system is investigated under UWB channel models proposed by IEEE 802.15.3a working group and compared with Low Density Parity Check (LDPC)-coded IDMA OFDM-based UWB system in terms of BER performance and complexity under the studied noise models. Simulation results show that the complexity of the proposed polar-coded system is much lower than LDPC-coded system with minor performance degradation. Furthermore, the proposed polar-coded system is robust against noise and interferences in UWB indoor environment and gains a significant performance improvement by about 5 dB compared with un-coded IDMA-OFDM-UWB system under the studied noise models. 展开更多

在三维声音事件定位与检测任务中,多声音事件的重叠导致无法从复杂信号当中有效地提取出每个声源的特征,此外为满足实际需求,在声音事件定位与检测任务当中引入距离估计任务,这增加了任务处理难度。针对上述问题,该文提出基于融合编码... 在三维声音事件定位与检测任务中,多声音事件的重叠导致无法从复杂信号当中有效地提取出每个声源的特征,此外为满足实际需求,在声音事件定位与检测任务当中引入距离估计任务,这增加了任务处理难度。针对上述问题,该文提出基于融合编码策略与通道增强的声音事件定位与检测算法,利用融合编码策略让模型能够将不同编码策略的特征进行自适应融合,增强对复杂信号中关键特征的提取能力;且根据声学信号在频域上表现出不同的频率分布和能量集中度的特性,结合离散余弦变换从通道维度出发,对信号的重要频率进行加权,学习每个通道不同频率的重要性,加强模型在频域上的建模,提升模型对关键信号的捕捉能力。实验结果表明,该文提出的模型性能要优于基线模型,当引入距离估计任务时,提出算法综合性能优于部分现有模型,为三维声音事件定位与检测任务提供了新的思路。 展开更多

随着软件漏洞日益增多,系统安全正面临着严峻的挑战。源代码漏洞检测可以在软件开发阶段及时发现软件应用中的潜在安全威胁,对保障软件应用的安全性至关重要。目前,主流的源代码漏洞检测方式为基于深度学习模型的漏洞检测方式。然而,现... 随着软件漏洞日益增多,系统安全正面临着严峻的挑战。源代码漏洞检测可以在软件开发阶段及时发现软件应用中的潜在安全威胁,对保障软件应用的安全性至关重要。目前,主流的源代码漏洞检测方式为基于深度学习模型的漏洞检测方式。然而,现有的许多深度学习模型仅依赖单一形式特征,未能充分挖掘源代码语义中的全局和局部信息,并且这些模型往往忽略了不同样本之间的差异性和相似性,导致其在处理复杂漏洞模式时表现不佳,误报率和漏报率较高。为了解决上述问题,提出了一种基于对比学习的双通道源代码漏洞检测模型。该模型使用不同通道来分别提取源代码语义中的全局特征和局部特征,并引入对比学习,使得模型能够学习不同样本之间的相似性和差异性,并以此来优化特征提取过程。实验结果表明,此模型在真实世界的漏洞数据集Devign和Reveal上的召回率、F1分数相较于基线模型显著提升。在Devign上平均提升14.65个百分点和6.30个百分点;在Reveal上平均提升31.18个百分点和22.44个百分点。 展开更多

误码条件下基于码字特征的一种TPC码盲识别算法

信道编码盲识别是通信对抗领域的热点研究方向。目前Turbo乘积码(Turbo Product Codes,TPC)盲识别技术仅可识别单一子码类型下的子码码长,而无法识别多种子码类型及子码码长,不足以支撑实际需求。因此,通过对TPC码的子码及其结构、编码... 信道编码盲识别是通信对抗领域的热点研究方向。目前Turbo乘积码(Turbo Product Codes,TPC)盲识别技术仅可识别单一子码类型下的子码码长,而无法识别多种子码类型及子码码长,不足以支撑实际需求。因此,通过对TPC码的子码及其结构、编码方式等进行研究和分析,探明了不同子码类型码字特点。研究表明,子码为扩展BCH(Bose-Chaudhuri-Hocquenghem)码的TPC码,子码码重均为偶数,且二维TPC码和三维TPC码均满足该特性。子码为本原BCH码的TPC码,其最短子码码长满足特定的约束关系:二维TPC码其较短的子码码长是满足平方小于TPC码长且符合BCH码长特征的最大数。子码为缩短BCH码的TPC码,子码码重与码长无明显规律,但是其子码生成多项式和相应的本原生成多项式相同,通过遍历生成多项式可以得到正确的子码码长。基于以上码字特征,提出了基于码重奇偶性等多维特性的通用TPC码子码类型及参数盲识别算法。仿真结果表明,在误码率为1×10^(-3)的情况下,可以有效的识别出各种TPC码的子码类型以及子码码长。 展开更多
