Gap dynamics in the U.S.between urban areas in the current trend and in sustainable scenario

The gap between the projected urban areas in the current trend(UAC)and those in the sustainable scenario(UAS)is a critical factor in understanding whether cities can fulfill the requirements of sustainable development.However,there is a paucity of knowledge on this cutting-edge topic.Given the extensive and rapid urbanization in the United States(U.S.)over the past two centuries,accurately measuring this gap between UAS and UAC is of critical importance for advancing future sustainable urban development,as well as having significant global implications.This study finds that although the 740 U.S.cities have a large UAC in 2100,these cities will encom pass a significant gap from UAC to UAS(approximately 165,000 km2),accounting for 30%UAC at that time.The study also reveals the spatio-temporal heterogeneity of the gap.The gap initially increases before reaching a inflection point in 2090,and it disparates greatly from−100%to 240%at city level.While cities in the Northwestern U.S.maintain UAC that exceeds UAS from 2020 to 2100,cities in other regions shift from UAC that exceeds UAS to UAC that falls short of UAS.Filling the gap without additional urban growth planning could lead to a reduction of crop production ranging from 0.3%to 3%and a 0.68%loss of biomass.Hence,dynamic and forward-looking urban planning is essential for addressing the challenges of sustainable development posed by urbanization,both within the U.S.and globally. 展开更多

Yin-mountain Hilly Area is one of the ideal regions for potato (Solanum tuberosum) production in China. However, potato yield is severely limited as a result of rain-fed crop mode due to water deficiency, as well as an inadequate farming practices. In this study, yield gaps were determined by using attainable yield (Ya) as a benchmark under optimized management practices, i.e., micro-ridge and side planting with plastic-mulching (MS), and flat planting with plastic-mulching (PM). The yields under MS and PM modes are defined as Yal and Ya2, respectively. Under the same field with MS and PM modes but different densities and fertilizer usages and so on, it was defined as simulated farmers' practices. The yield of simulated farmers' practices (Yfl) reached 57.3 and 69.6% of Yal and Ya2, respectively, while the average yield of 298 randomly surveyed farmers (Yf2) reached only 37.0 and 47.8% of Yal and Ya2 for rain-fed potato, respectively. The gaps of water use efficiency exhibited similar pattern. Further analysis shows that improper measures in rainwater conservation and accumulation, and other management practices contributed to 18.5, 18.2, and 42.6% of yield gap between Yal and Yf2. Improper nutrition management, including overuse of nitrogen and the deficiency of phosphorus andpotassium supplication, was one of the important reasons of yield gap. The results indicate the possibilities of increasing rain-fed potato yields by optimized water and fertilizermanagements in the Yin-mountain Hilly Area. 展开更多

Using the stepwise regression analysis,we find that urbanization level,socio-economic development,education level,financial development scale and financial development efficiency have the greatest impact on the income gap between urban and rural areas. By cointegration test,it is found that there is a long-term equilibrium relationship between these five variables and the income gap between urban and rural areas. We build the state-space model to research the dynamic impact of these factors on the income gap between urban and rural areas. The results show that by improving the level of urbanization,we can effectively narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas,while socio-economic development,the improvement of education level,expansion of financial development scale and financial development efficiency all significantly expand the income gap between urban and rural areas. 展开更多

We provide an analytical form of the average damage fraction and then apply it to obtain optimal aimpoints. To facilitate the computational efforts in practice, we also consider optimizations over given constrained patterns of aimpoints. The development of a territory always followed by population growth and increasing the life necessities of the society. This condition makes increasing transportation activity that causes environmental pollution. Pollutants that are released by vehicle such as CO (carbon monoxide), SO2 (sulfur oxides), NO, (nitrogen oxides) are very harmful for public health. Indonesia is a country which has the high level of air pollution from transportation. One way to deal with the air pollution is to build green area (Ruang Terbuka Hijau) around the highway. Planning of open green area must be done comprehensively. There is an appropriate way to plan green area on the road by counting the number of AADV (annual average daily vehicles) (Lalu lintas harian rata rata) and estimated the amount of pollutantt that produced by vehicles. Calculation against the ability of plants in reducing pollutants and reached a unique relation between quantities of AADV by the number of plants that are necessary for reducing pollutants resulted by the traffic. The selection of plantation based on the shape of the tree canopy that provides the capacity of a pollutants reduction. After calculations the surface area of the tree leaves, the design of green area for highway can be reached so created an environmentally friendly and safe highway. 展开更多

Gap between Urban and Rural Economic Development in Less Developed Areas——A Case of Northern Jiangsu Area,China

Taking northern Jiangsu area as an example,economic disparity between urban and rural areas is described according to the data in 2000-2009 Jiangsu Statistical Yearbook.Result shows that there are significant differences in the rural and urban economic development in less developed areas,which are mainly reflected in the differences in per capita income,living standard,and Engel coefficient.Reasons for urban and rural economic disparity in less developed areas are analyzed.The asymmetry and immobility of rural and urban resources have objectively caused the income gap between urban and rural residents;urban industrial development,which is faster than agricultural development,has widened the income gap between urban and rural residents;and the differences in comparative labor productivity in rural and urban areas have enlarged their income gap.Countermeasures to minimize the urban and rural economic development gap are put forward,such as deepening the reform,realizing the free flow of economic resources between urban and rural areas,developing rural areas through urban development,exerting the function of urban areas in the coordinated development of urban and rural areas,paying attention to the agriculture and rural areas,and improving the comparative labor productivity of agriculture. 展开更多

A Study on Average Velocity Ratios(V_P/V_S) in the Hohhot-Baotou Area

The geological structure is complex in the Hohhot-Baotou area.Several earthquakes with MS≥6.0 have occurred in the area in history.This article selected the Hohhot-Baotou area as the study region and divided it into 2 sub-regions,each with a spatial scope of 3°×2°,according to the spatial distribution of ML≥1.0 earthquakes occurring between January 2001 and April 2010,and the layout of the seismic network in the study region.Average velocity ratios of respective sub-regions were calculated,and comparative analysis was made on their temporal and spatial variations.Results show that there are slight differences between sub-regions in the variation amplitude of average velocity ratio curves over time,which mostly remains between 2.5% to 2.584%.In the Hohhot area,the average velocity ratio is 1.722,significantly lower than the average velocity ratio of 1.733 in the Baotou area.We preliminarily concluded that this was related to the distribution of fault structures and properties of underground media in the Hohhot area. 展开更多

考虑匝道车辆非序贯汇入的加速车道长度研究

快速路合流区车辆存在频繁的换道和加减速行为,制约着道路的整体通行效率,影响行车安全,合流区的几何设计关系到合流区的交通运行效果,而加速车道长度是快速路合流区几何设计的重要内容,直接影响着合流区的交通效率和安全.针对合流区通... 快速路合流区车辆存在频繁的换道和加减速行为,制约着道路的整体通行效率,影响行车安全,合流区的几何设计关系到合流区的交通运行效果,而加速车道长度是快速路合流区几何设计的重要内容,直接影响着合流区的交通效率和安全.针对合流区通行效率低下和交通事故频发的问题,对加速车道长度进行研究.根据实测数据,使用Kolmogorov-Smirnov(K-S)检验对合流区主线最外侧车道不同分段的车头时距分布进行分析,应用极大似然法估计车头时距分布函数参数,并在考虑匝道车辆非序贯汇入行为的基础上结合间隙接受理论计算出加速车道长度,最后应用VISSIM对加速车道长度优化前后的合流区交通运行情况进行仿真.研究结果表明:最外侧车道不同分段的车头时距分布呈现异质性;优化后的加速车道,能够满足多数匝道车辆等待主线最外侧车道出现合流间隙所需的时间,提高车辆合流的安全性;在主线三级服务水平条件下,匝道车辆汇入主线交通量提高7.15%~15.11%,交通冲突数降低8.68%~22.16%;在主线四级服务水平条件下,匝道车辆汇入主线交通量提高5.47%~14.22%,交通冲突数降低2.08%~14.74%.优化后的加速车道能够提高合流区通行效率和交通安全,为加速车道长度计算提供新思路. 展开更多

目的观察局灶性脑梗死大鼠梗死对侧皮层不同时期生长相关蛋白GAP-43(growth associated protein-43)及微管相关蛋白MAP-2(microtubule associated protein-2)表达的动态变化,探讨电针调节GAP-43和MAP-2表达与神经可塑性及大鼠运动功能... 目的观察局灶性脑梗死大鼠梗死对侧皮层不同时期生长相关蛋白GAP-43(growth associated protein-43)及微管相关蛋白MAP-2(microtubule associated protein-2)表达的动态变化,探讨电针调节GAP-43和MAP-2表达与神经可塑性及大鼠运动功能改善的可能关系。方法 60只雄性SD大鼠随机分为假手术组(n=6)、模型组和电针组,模型组和电针组再随机分为3d、7d、14d、28d等4个亚组(剔除耗损或死亡,n=6)。运用Longa改良线栓法制备右侧大脑中动脉闭塞(middle cerebral artery occlusion,MCAO)大鼠模型,电针组取双侧"曲池""足三里"针灸治疗,余两组同一时间捆绑,不做治疗。采用Bederson法评定大鼠神经功能缺损情况、免疫组化法检测梗死对侧皮层GAP-43、MAP-2的表达变化。结果与模型组比较,电针组术后第3天神经功能缺损评分差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),随着治疗时间的延长,术后第7、14、28天神经功能评分逐渐降低,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。免疫组化结果显示,电针组术后第3天GAP-43、MAP-2阳性细胞表达量与模型组比较差异无统计学意义(均P>0.05);术后第7、14天GAP-43、MAP-2阳性细胞表达量明显高于模型组(均P<0.05),术后第28天GAP-43阳性细胞表达量明显高于模型组(P<0.05)。结论电针治疗增加梗死对侧皮层MAP-2、GAP-43的表达,改善了大鼠的运动功能,促进神经功能重塑,可能与加快启动梗死对侧皮层的保护机制、减少病灶对侧的远隔继发性损害有关。 展开更多

自然保护地空间整合优化是建立以国家公园为主体的自然保护地体系的基础,是解决自然保护地各种矛盾冲突和历史遗留问题的重要工作。系统梳理国内自然保护地空间整合优化的研究进展并结合中国国情开展深入研究对于建成世界最大的国家公... 自然保护地空间整合优化是建立以国家公园为主体的自然保护地体系的基础,是解决自然保护地各种矛盾冲突和历史遗留问题的重要工作。系统梳理国内自然保护地空间整合优化的研究进展并结合中国国情开展深入研究对于建成世界最大的国家公园体系至关重要。本文以国内2004—2024年发表的自然保护地空间整合与优化研究文献为基础,运用CiteSpace软件系统分析了自然保护地空间整合与优化的研究历程与主要内容,并对未来的研究重点进行展望。研究发现:①国内自然保护地空间整合与优化研究总体遵循“问题现状−空间分析−对策建议”方向不断深化拓展。②相关研究主要集中在主要问题诊断、空间格局刻画、保护空缺识别、生态空间完整性优化、整合优化政策与措施。③基于现有的研究不足,从跨界自然保护地协调发展与整合路径、国土空间规划背景下自然保护地功能分区、自然保护地整合优化效果评估与动态监测、不同类型自然保护地之间的分工与协作、自然保护地生态保护与人类福祉协同路径研究等方面提出研究展望。 展开更多

农村经济转型与城乡收入差距:内在机制与经验证据

加快农村经济转型,缩小城乡收入差距,是推进乡村振兴和实现共同富裕的重要驱动力。文章从理论上分析了农村经济转型对城乡收入差距的非线性影响,并利用2005—2023年31个省份的面板数据进行了实证检验。研究发现:农村经济转型对城乡收入... 加快农村经济转型,缩小城乡收入差距,是推进乡村振兴和实现共同富裕的重要驱动力。文章从理论上分析了农村经济转型对城乡收入差距的非线性影响,并利用2005—2023年31个省份的面板数据进行了实证检验。研究发现:农村经济转型对城乡收入差距的影响呈现先减小后增大的“U”型发展趋势。结构效应检验结果表明,两者的关系主要受到经济结构转型和农村劳动力非农就业的影响。异质性分析结果表明,南方和北方地区农村经济转型与城乡收入差距间均存在“U”型关系,但两个地区拐点值存在较大差距。经济发展水平低的地区的农村经济转型和城乡收入差距呈现线性关系,经济发展水平高的地区的农村经济转型和城乡收入差距呈现“U”型关系。进一步检验发现,农村经济转型对农村居民收入的促进效应强于城镇居民收入,城镇化可以强化农村经济转型初期缩小城乡收入差距的积极作用。 展开更多

几何特征指数是量化图形几何特征的基本方法,其准确性和完整性直接影响空间数据处理的效率和成果质量。然而,现有的几何特征指数在实际应用中存在无法全面满足需求的问题。为此,文中提出一种与原始图形具有相同面积和周长的新型等效矩形... 几何特征指数是量化图形几何特征的基本方法,其准确性和完整性直接影响空间数据处理的效率和成果质量。然而,现有的几何特征指数在实际应用中存在无法全面满足需求的问题。为此,文中提出一种与原始图形具有相同面积和周长的新型等效矩形,基于此等效矩形构建几何特征指数集。实验结果表明,平均宽度是影响建筑物功能分类的重要特征;对于宽度均匀度的图形,可以利用等效矩形平均长度近似计算骨架线长度;通过与现有形状特征指数的相关性分析,验证了文中提出的3种矩形指数对图形形状刻画的有效性和独立性;结合理论分析和实际例证,文中提出的矩形指数在刻画图形复杂度方面相较于现有方法具有明显优势,有效提升空间要素几何特征的量化精度,为空间数据处理提供了新的工具和方法。 展开更多

为加强对南海西沙海域气候变化的认识,基于采用2018—2022年南海西沙群岛地面与高空气温资料,分析了南海西沙区域气温从地面至高空垂直变化和空间分布特征,并探讨了赵述岛和永兴岛气温差异的成因。结果表明:南海西沙群岛各海岛自动气象... 为加强对南海西沙海域气候变化的认识,基于采用2018—2022年南海西沙群岛地面与高空气温资料,分析了南海西沙区域气温从地面至高空垂直变化和空间分布特征,并探讨了赵述岛和永兴岛气温差异的成因。结果表明:南海西沙群岛各海岛自动气象站5年平均气温无显著差异,均为27.6℃。地面至850 h Pa的最高与最低月平均气温和西沙海域各岛礁的变化具有较好的一致性;中高层(700~300 h Pa)的最高与最低月平均气温均滞后约1个月。925 h Pa气温变化最大,500 h Pa气温变化最小。各岛礁的高温日数差异显著,其中赵述岛高温日数达317 d,永兴岛未出现过≥35℃的高温天气。永兴岛午间时段风速达到最大,午间偏大的风速促进了空气的流动,进而导致气温偏低。 展开更多

隐形矫治成人非拔牙患者出现下颌中切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的危险因素

目的 探究使用无托槽隐形矫治器治疗成人非拔牙患者后下颌中切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的发生率和危险因素,为预防正畸治疗后切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的发生提供参考。方法 本研究已通过单位医学伦理委员会审查批准,并获得患者知情同意。选择202... 目的 探究使用无托槽隐形矫治器治疗成人非拔牙患者后下颌中切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的发生率和危险因素,为预防正畸治疗后切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的发生提供参考。方法 本研究已通过单位医学伦理委员会审查批准,并获得患者知情同意。选择2022年9月至2024年12月在合肥市口腔医院接受无托槽隐形矫治结束未拔牙成人错畸形的125例患者为研究对象,根据矫治结束即刻正面口内照中切牙区开放性龈楔状隙的有无,将患者分为正常组和开放性龈楔状隙组。根据治疗前后的口内照片、数字化模型、锥形束CT等临床资料,测量患者下颌切牙区牙冠的重叠和旋转、牙冠形态、附件数量和邻面去釉量(interproximal enamel reduction,IPR)等指标并进行分析。结果 使用无托槽隐形矫治器治疗成人患者矫治结束后上颌与下颌的中切牙间开放性龈楔状隙发生率分别为28.8%和39.2%。下颌中切牙区正常组和开放性龈楔状隙组的性别、安氏分类、牙龈生物型、覆、覆盖、邻面去釉量、年龄、矫治周期、牙长轴成角、下颌中切牙在治疗前后水平移动的距离差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),两组在附件数量、近中切角间前后向距离、中切牙近中邻接点(interproximal contact point,ICP)至牙槽嵴顶的距离(alveolar bone crest,ABC)的距离(ICP-ABC)、相邻两个中切牙近中釉牙骨质界(mesial cementoenamel junction,CEJ)间的水平距离(CEJ-CEJ)和唇侧牙槽骨厚度上差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。其中邻面去釉量和下前牙压低量与开放性龈楔状隙的严重程度有关(P<0.05)。回归分析显示,附件数量、近中切角间前后向距离、ICP-ABC距离、CEJ-CEJ水平距离与开放性龈楔状隙发生显著相关。结论 成人患者使用无托槽隐形矫治器后下颌中切牙区开放性龈楔状隙发生率较高,附件数量为2、近中切角间前后向距离、牙邻接点至牙槽嵴顶间的距离以及相邻釉牙骨质界间的水平距离为矫治结束后出现开放性龈楔状隙的危险因素。 展开更多
