为了客观评价地下空间开发地质适宜性并为评价工作提供一种新思路和参考,提出了一种基于三角模糊数的模糊层次分析法(fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on triangular fuzzy numbers,FAHP)和优劣解距离法(technique for order pr... 为了客观评价地下空间开发地质适宜性并为评价工作提供一种新思路和参考,提出了一种基于三角模糊数的模糊层次分析法(fuzzy analytic hierarchy process based on triangular fuzzy numbers,FAHP)和优劣解距离法(technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution,TOPSIS)相结合的评价方法。通过地质调查研究构建基于土体工程地质性质、水文地质条件、不良地质作用、地形地貌等影响因素为主的层次分析关系模型。基于专家判别利用FAHP计算各评价因素的权重,以各评价指标层的分级临界值作为典型评价样本,利用TOPSIS法对适宜性等级进行非等分划分,基于区间值优化的TOPSIS法建立最终评价模型,通过ArcGIS的空间分析功能等确定每个评价单元适宜性等级。该方法与传统方法相比一定程度上减少了评价过程中专家评判的过多主观影响,评价过程更倾向于定量化,结果更为客观。利用该方法对无锡市区浅层地下空间开发地质适宜性进行评价,评价结果与实际工程经验相符,证明了该方法的有效性,因此该方法对地下空间开发适宜性评价工作具有一定借鉴意义。 展开更多

Earthquakes pose significant perils to the built environment in urban areas.To avert the calamitous aftermath of earthquakes,it is imperative to construct seismic resilient cities.Due to the intricacy of the concept of urban seismic resilience(USR),its assessment is a large-scale system engineering issue.The assessment of USR should be based on the notion of urban seismic capacity(USC)assessment,which includes casualties,economic loss,and recovery time as criteria.Functionality loss is also included in the assessment of USR in addition to these criteria.The assessment indicator system comprising five dimensions(building and lifeline infrastructure,environment,society,economy,and institution)and 20 indicators has been devised to quantify USR.The analytical hierarchy process(AHP)is utilized to compute the weights of the criteria,dimensions,and indicators in the urban seismic resilience assessment(USRA)indicator system.When the necessary data for a city are obtainable,the seismic resilience of that city can be assessed using this framework.To illustrate the proposed methodology,a moderate-sized city in China was selected as a case study.The assessment results indicate a high level of USR,suggesting that the city possesses strong capabilities to withstand and recover from potential future earthquakes. 展开更多

Renormalization group analysis has been proposed to eliminate secular terms in perturbation solutions of differential equations and thus expand the domain of their validity.Here we extend the method to treat periodic orbits or limit cycles.Interesting normal forms could be derived through a generalization of the concept'resonance',which offers nontrivial analytic approximations.Compared with traditional techniques such as multi-scale methods,the current scheme proceeds in a very straightforward and simple way,delivering not only the period and the amplitude but also the transient path to limit cycles.The method is demonstrated with several examples including the Duffing oscillator,van der Pol equation and Lorenz equation.The obtained solutions match well with numerical results and with those derived by traditional analytic methods. 展开更多

The stress gradient of surrounding rock and reasonable prestress of support are the keys to ensuring the stability of roadways.The elastic-plastic analytical solution for surrounding rock was derived based on unified strength theory.A model for solving the stress gradient of the surrounding rock with the intermediate principal stress parameter b was established.The correctness and applicability of the solution for the stress gradient in the roadway surrounding rock was verified via multiple methods.Furthermore,the laws of stress,displacement,and the plastic zone of the surrounding rock with different b values and prestresses were revealed.As b increases,the stress gradient in the plastic zone increases,and the displacement and plastic zone radius decrease.As the prestress increases,the peak stress shifts toward the sidewalls,and the stress and stress gradient increments decrease.In addition,the displacement increment and plastic zone increment were proposed to characterize the support effect.The balance point of the plastic zone area appears before that of the displacement zone.The relationship between the stress gradient compensation coefficient and the prestress is obtained.This study provides a research method and idea for determining the reasonable prestress of support in roadways. 展开更多

Based on the investigation of colored-leaf plant resources in Hefei City,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)was used to construct a comprehensive evaluation system for colored-leaf plants in Hefei City.This system is composed of three layers:leaf ornamental value,ecological adaptability,and other ornamental values,including 12 evaluation indicators.The landscape value of the 20 selected species of colored-leaf trees were comprehensively evaluated.The evaluation results show that 9 kinds of colored-leaf trees such as Ginkgo biloba and Tiadica sebifera are excellent(grade I,comprehensive evaluation value>3.5);7 species of colored-leaf trees such as Sophora japonica and Albizia juibissin are good(grade I 2.5≤comprehensive evaluation value≤3.5);4 types of colored-leaf trees such as Celtis sinensis and Pistacia chinensis are general(grade,comprehensive evaluation value<2.5).These results can provide theoretical references for the application of colored-leaf trees in uban green spaces of Hefei City. 展开更多

ENBQA:An Ensemble Learning-Based Model for Beach Quality Assessment

The assessment of beach quality is an important prerequisite for beach development and serves as the foundation for coastal zone management and sustainable development.This topic has attracted widespread attention,and various evaluation systems have been established.Given that beach quality assessment(BQA)involves multidimensional and nonlinear indicators,machine learning methods are well-suited to handling complex data relationships.However,current research utilizing machine learning for BQA often faces challenges such as limited evaluation indicators and difficulties in obtaining relevant data.in this study,a machine learning-based model for beach quality evaluation is proposed to address the limitations of existing evaluation frameworks,particular-ly under conditions of data scarcity.Simulated data were generated,and the analytic hierarchy process was integrated to extract fea-tures from 21 beach evaluation factors.A comparative analysis was conducted using the following four machine learning models:de-cision tree,random forest,XGBoost,and MLP.Results indicate that XGBoost(mean squared error(MSE)=0.1825,weighted F1=0.7513)and MLP(Pearson coefficient=0.6053)outperform traditional models.Furthermore,an ensemble learning model combining XGBoost and MLP was developed,substantially improving predictive performance(reducing MSE to 0.0753,increasing the Pearson coefficient to 0.8002,and achieving an F1 score of 0.783).Validation using real data from Yangkou Beach demonstrated that the model maintained an accuracy of 58%even when 5–10 evaluation factors had randomly missing values. 展开更多

Machine-Learning-Improved Analytic Continuation for Quantum Impurity Model

The analytic continuation serves as a crucial bridge between quantum Monte Carlo calculations in imaginary-time formalism,specifically the Green's functions,and physical measurements(the spectral functions)in real time.Various approaches have been developed to enhance the accuracy of analytic continuation,including the Padéapproximation,the maximum entropy method,and stochastic analytic continuation.In this study,we employ different deep learning techniques to investigate the analytic continuation for the quantum impurity model.A significant challenge in this context is that the sharp Abrikosov-Suhl resonance peak may be either underestimated or overestimated.We fit both the imaginary-time Green's function and the spectral function using Chebyshev polynomials in logarithmic coordinates.We utilize Full-Connected Networks(FCN),Convolutional Neural Networks(CNNs),and Residual Networks(ResNet)to address this issue.Our findings indicate that introducing noise during the training phase significantly improves the accuracy of the learning process.The typical absolute error achieved is less than 10-4.These investigations pave the way for machine learning to optimize the analytic continuation problem in many-body systems,thereby reducing the need for prior expertise in physics. 展开更多

Surface irregularities,such as hills and ridges,can significantly amplify ground motion caused by earthquakes.Therefore,in this study,we propose an analytical solution model to investigate the interaction between an asymmetric triangular hill on Earth and SH waves.Firstly,based on the development of wave functions and regional matching techniques,we introduce a semi-circular artificial auxiliary boundary,dividing the solution model into a semi-infinite body containing a semi-circular depression and an asymmetric fan-shaped region.Secondly,we derive the domain function form applicable to solving asymmetric problems.Utilizing the theory of complex variables,we establish a well-posed matrix for solving domain functions within the same coordinate system.Numerical results demonstrate that the scattering of SH waves by a protuberance is jointly influenced by the geometric parameters of the hill and the angle of incidence.Additionally,the frequency of the incident wave also has a certain degree of impact on the displacement amplitude.This study elucidates the scattering mechanism of SH waves by complex boundaries,providing a theoretical reference for building site selection and seismic design.In practical problems,the asymmetric assumption is more applicable than the symmetry assumption. 展开更多

Accurately simulating water flow movement in vadose zone is crucial for effective water resources assessment.Richards'equation,which describes the movement of water flow in the vadose zone,is highly nonlinear and challenging to solve.Existing numerical methods often face issues such as numerical dispersion,oscillation,and mass non-conservation when spatial and temporal discretization conditions are not appropriately configured.To address these problems and achieve accurate and stable numerical solutions,a finite analytic method based on water content-based Richards'equation(FAM-W)is proposed.The performance of the FAM-W is compared with analytical solutions,Finite Difference Method(FDM),and Finite Analytic Method based on the pressure Head-based Richards'equation(FAM-H).Compared to analytical solution and other numerical methods(FDM and FAM-H),FAM-W demonstrates superior accuracy and efficiency in controlling mass balance errors,regardless of spatial step sizes.This study introduces a novel approach for modelling water flow in the vadose zone,offering significant benefits for water resources management. 展开更多

Due to complex geological structures and a narrow safe mud density window,offshore fractured formations frequently encounter severe lost circulation(LC)during drilling,significantly hindering oil and gas exploration and development.Predicting LC risks enables the targeted implementation of mitigation strategies,thereby reducing the frequency of such incidents.To address the limitations of existing 3D geomechanical modeling in predicting LC,such as arbitrary factor selection,subjective weight assignment,and the inability to achieve pre-drilling prediction along the entire well section,an improved prediction method is proposed.This method integrates multi-source data and incorporates three LC-related sensitivity factors:fracture characteristics,rock brittleness,and in-situ stress conditions.A quantitative risk assessment model for LC is developed by combining the subjective analytic hierarchy process with the objective entropy weight method(EWM)to assign weights.Subsequently,3D geomechanical modeling is applied to identify regional risk zones,enabling digital visualization for pre-drilling risk prediction.The developed 3D LC risk prediction model was validated using actual LC incidents from drilled wells.Results were generally consistent with field-identified LC zones,with an average relative error of 19.08%,confirming its reliability.This method provides practical guidance for mitigating potential LC risks and optimizing drilling program designs in fractured formations. 展开更多

Flooding remains one of the most destructive natural disasters,posing significant risks to both human lives and infrastructure.In India,where a large area is susceptible to flood hazards,the importance of accurate flood frequency analysis(FFA)and flood susceptibility mapping cannot be overstated.This study focuses on the Haora River basin in Tripura,a region prone to frequent flooding due to a combination of natural and anthropogenic factors.This study evaluates the suitability of the Log-Pearson Type Ⅲ(LP-Ⅲ)and Gumbel Extreme Value-1(EV-1)distributions for estimating peak discharges and delineates floodsusceptible zones in the Haora River basin,Tripura.Using 40 years of peak discharge data(1984-2023),the LP-Ⅲ distribution was identified as the most appropriate model based on goodness-of-fit tests.Flood susceptibility mapping,integrating 16 thematic layers through the Analytical Hierarchy Process,identified 8%,64%,and 26%of the area as high,moderate,and low susceptibility zones,respectively,with a model success rate of 0.81.The findings highlight the need for improved flood management strategies,such as enhancing river capacity and constructing flood spill channels.These insights are critical for designing targeted flood mitigation measures in the Haora basin and other flood-prone regions. 展开更多

Through the investigation of the species of street trees located along the main urban roads in Hefei City,a total of 22 species were selected,belonging to 16 families and 22 genera,with the Sapindaceae family being the most prevalent.In this study,the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was employed to assess the comprehensive value of 22 species of street trees applied along the main urban roads in Hefei City.Fourteen evaluation criteria were selected from four categories:morphological indices,functional indices,resistance indices,and management indices,to develop a comprehensive evaluation model.Based on a composite score derived from 22 street trees,these trees were classified into three distinct grades.Grade I(L≥3.0)exhibited a high comprehensive application value in Hefei City and included 6 tree species,such asPlatanus.Grade II(2.5≤L<3.0)also demonstrated a high comprehensive application value,comprising 15 tree species,includingCatalpabungei.In contrast,grade III(L<2.5)indicated a general comprehensive application value,represented by a single species,Cedrusdeodara.The evaluation results can offer theoretical insights for the selection of urban street trees. 展开更多
