Risk adjustable optimal operation for electricity-hydrogen integrated energy system based on chance constrained goal programming

The electricity-hydrogen integrated energy system(EH-IES)enables synergistic operation of electricity,heat,and hydrogen subsystems,supporting renewable energy integration and efficient multi-energy utilization in future low carbon societies.However,uncertainties from renewable energy and load variability threaten system safety and economy.Conventional chance-constrained programming(CCP)ensures reliable operation by limiting risk.However,increasing source-load uncertainties that can render CCP models infeasible and exacerbate operational risks.To address this,this paper proposes a risk-adjustable chance-constrained goal programming(RACCGP)model,integrating CCP and goal programming to balance risk and cost based on system risk assessment.An intelligent nonlinear goal programming method based on the state transition algorithm(STA)is developed,along with an improved discretized step transformation,to handle model nonlinearity and enhance computational efficiency.Experimental results show that the proposed model reduces costs while controlling risk compared to traditional CCP,and the solution method outperforms average sample sampling in efficiency and solution quality. 展开更多

Fire warning is vital to human life,economy and ecology.However,the development of effective warning systems faces great challenges of fast response,adjustable threshold and remote detecting.Here,we propose an intelligent self-powered remote IoT fire warning system,by employing single-walled carbon nanotube/titanium carbide thermoelectric composite films.The flexible films,prepared by a convenient solution mixing,display p-type characteristic with excellent high-temperature stability,flame retardancy and TE(power factor of 239.7±15.8μW m^(-1) K^(-2))performances.The comprehensive morphology and structural analyses shed light on the underlying mechanisms.And the assembled TE devices(TEDs)exhibit fast fire warning with adjustable warning threshold voltages(1–10 mV).Excitingly,an ultrafast fire warning response time of~0.1 s at 1 mV threshold voltage is achieved,rivaling many state-of-the-art systems.Furthermore,TE fire warning systems reveal outstanding stability after 50 repeated cycles and desired durability even undergoing 180 days of air exposure.Finally,a TED-based wireless intelligent fire warning system has been developed by coupling an amplifier,analogto-digital converter and Bluetooth module.By combining TE characteristics,high-temperature stability and flame retardancy with wireless IoT signal transmission,TE-based hybrid system developed here is promising for next-generation self-powered remote IoT fire warning applications. 展开更多

A light source of multi-star simulator capable of background adjustment and magnitude control has been designed.Two integrating spheres are employed as the star-point light source and the background light source respectively.A beam splitter prism has been designed to serve as the beam combiner for the star-point and the background light sources,and a mathematical model has been constructed respectively to compute the light flux of the two integrating spheres.A magnitude testing system and a background testing system have been created using low-light illuminometer,luminance meter,and testing instruments to measure the star-point magnitude and the background luminance of the multi-star simulator.The test results suggest that the star-point magnitude is adjustable from0 to+5 m_v,with a simulation precision superior to ±0.026 m_v.The maximum background luminance is 3.8×10~5 cd·m^(-2),and the minimum background luminance is6.4×10^(-2)cd·m^(-2).The designed light source system can meet the requirements for simulating the stellar map with a sky background. 展开更多

We propose a system for achieving some adjustable quantum coherence effects, including the normal-mode splitting(NMS), the optomechanically induced transparency(OMIT), and the optomechanically induced absorption(OMIA). In this system, two tunnel-coupled optomechanical cavities are each driven by a coupling field and coupled to an atomic ensemble.Besides, one of the cavities is also injected with a probe field. When the system works under different conditions, we can obtain the NMS, the OMIT, and the OMIA, respectively. These effects can be flexibly adjusted by the tunnel coupling between the two cavities, the power of the coupling lasers, and the coupling strength between the atomic ensembles and the cavity fields. Furthermore, we can realize the OMIT even if the oscillating mirrors have relatively larger decay rates. 展开更多

To realize effective co-phasing adjustment in large-aperture sparse-aperture telescopes,a multichannel stripe tracking approach is employed,allowing simultaneous interferometric measurements of multiple optical paths and circumventing the need for pairwise measurements along the mirror boundaries in traditional interferometric methods.This approach enhances detection efficiency and reduces system complexity.Here,the principles of the multibeam interference process and construction of a co-phasing detection module based on direct optical fiber connections were analyzed using wavefront optics theory.Error analysis was conducted on the system surface obtained through multipath interference.Potential applications of the interferometric method were explored.Finally,the principle was verified by experiment,an interferometric fringe contrast better than 0.4 is achieved through flat field calibration and incoherent digital synthesis.The dynamic range of the measurement exceeds 10 times of the center wavelength of the working band(1550 nm).Moreover,a resolution better than one-tenth of the working center wavelength(1550 nm)was achieved.Simultaneous three-beam interference can be achieved,leading to a 50%improvement in detection efficiency.This method can effectively enhance the efficiency of sparse aperture telescope co-phasing,meeting the requirements for observations of 8-10 m telescopes.This study provides a technological foundation for observing distant and faint celestial objects. 展开更多

A systematic review of avian response to urbanization in China:Research trends,current insights,and future directions

Urbanization is one of the most extreme forms of land-use alteration that is advancing across the world with unprecedented speed.As the largest developing country,China has developed a unique path through its high speed and large scale of urbanization,offering valuable research opportunities for avian ecology.However,a comprehensive review on how birds respond to urbanization in China is still lacking.Here,we systematically reviewed 274 studies published from 1962 to 2024 to determine the research trends,current insights,and future directions of avian response to urbanization in China.We synthesized research trends across four core avian response dimensions to urbanization—diversity,behavior,physiology,and life-history—and their applications in conservation strategy design.The number of publications in avian response to urbanization in China increased annually,and it is influenced by China's developing policies of urbanization.The results also showed an unbalanced geographical pattern of the publications,as the research preferences are relatively prevalent in the developed areas of eastern China.In contrast,there are insufficient studies in the emerging urbanizing areas in the western and northeastern China.Regarding the research contents,most existing studies are focusing on the patterns of bird diversity,while there are few studies on the underlying mechanisms,such as physiological adjustments and life-history strategies.In addition,passerines are the most frequent ones among the studied species.Integrating multidimensional urbanization indices and citizen science data are gradually becoming a new trend in recent years.Our study emphasizes that future studies should pay more attention to the response mechanism of birds in urbanizing processes,multidimensional and interdisciplinary studies,and the transformation of the research results into conservation practices. 展开更多

The metamaterial based on external meshing gears(MEG)is designed based on the principle of external meshing gear transmission.Based on the meshing transmission principle of external meshing gears and planetary gear trains,the internal and external gear rings are designed.Based on the internal and external gear rings,the metamaterial based on inner and outer planetary gear trains(MIP)is designed to study the shear modulus,Young's modulus,and amplitude-frequency characteristics of the metamaterial based on gears at different angles.The effects of the number of planetary gears on the physical characteristics of the MIP are studied.The results show that the MEG can be continuously adjusted by adjusting the shear modulus and Young's modulus due to its meshing characteristics.With the same number of gears,the adjustment range of the MIP is larger than the adjustment range of the MEG.When the number of planetary gears increases,the adjustment range of the MIP decreases.Moreover,when the metamaterial based on gears rotates,the harmonic response changes with the change of the angle. 展开更多

This study compares the“cavitation to no-cavitation”transition processes and the resulting pressure oscillation effects of water,liquid oxygen and liquid methane in an adjustable cavitation Venturi tube through back pressure experiments.The modal characteristics of cavitation images and the frequency domain characteristics of vibrations were analyzed using the proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)and fast Fourier transform(FFT).By observing with a transparent Venturi tube and high-speed photography,combined with one-dimensional homogeneous flow simulation,the evolution laws of cavitation length and downstream pressure oscillation during the processes of changing the pressure ratio p_(r) and the throat area A_(t) were studied.The evolution laws of cavitation length and flow pattern about working parameters were obtained,revealing the correlation between cavitation and vibration.Under low pressure ratios,the oscillation of bubble collapse dominated by the returning jet causes the tail of the cavitation area to be lengthened,resulting in an increase in downstream amplitude.Increasing the pressure ratio can effectively control the cavitation length and reduce the amplitude of downstream pressure oscillation.Reducing the throat area by moving the plug cone increases the cavitation length,and the downstream oscillation amplitude first increases and then decreases,with an oscillation maximum value existing. 展开更多

Adjustable random linear network coding(ARLNC): A solution for data transmission in dynamic IoT computational environments

In mobile computing environments, most IoT devices connected to networks experience variable error rates and possess limited bandwidth. The conventional method of retransmitting lost information during transmission, commonly used in data transmission protocols, increases transmission delay and consumes excessive bandwidth. To overcome this issue, forward error correction techniques, e.g., Random Linear Network Coding(RLNC) can be used in data transmission. The primary challenge in RLNC-based methodologies is sustaining a consistent coding ratio during data transmission, leading to notable bandwidth usage and transmission delay in dynamic network conditions. Therefore, this study proposes a new block-based RLNC strategy known as Adjustable RLNC(ARLNC), which dynamically adjusts the coding ratio and transmission window during runtime based on the estimated network error rate calculated via receiver feedback. The calculations in this approach are performed using a Galois field with the order of 256. Furthermore, we assessed ARLNC's performance by subjecting it to various error models such as Gilbert Elliott, exponential, and constant rates and compared it with the standard RLNC. The results show that dynamically adjusting the coding ratio and transmission window size based on network conditions significantly enhances network throughput and reduces total transmission delay in most scenarios. In contrast to the conventional RLNC method employing a fixed coding ratio, the presented approach has demonstrated significant enhancements, resulting in a 73% decrease in transmission delay and a 4 times augmentation in throughput. However, in dynamic computational environments, ARLNC generally incurs higher computational costs than the standard RLNC but excels in high-performance networks. 展开更多

Quantitative impacts of dominant large-scale circulation systems on surface ozone pollution in China

Tropospheric ozone pollution has been worsened over most regions of China,adversely affecting human health and ecosystems.The long-term ozone concentration depends largely upon atmospheric circulations.Here,we conducted meteorological adjustment to quantitatively assess the influences of meteorological factors on the ozone evolution in China's seven city clusters during thewarm season(April to October)from 2013 to 2020.Our analysis indicated that northern and eastern regions experienced ozone increases driven by emission changes.Southern regions,particularly the Pearl River Delta(PRD),exhibited ozone rise primarily due to meteorological conditions despite emission changes.In the Sichuan Basin(SCB)and Central Yangtze River Plain(CYP),where ozone levels decreased,meteorological conditions played a significant role in suppressing the ascent of ozone.Empirical orthogonal functions(EOF)analyses suggested that the spatiotemporal trend ofmeteorologyassociated ozone was strongly correlated with the variation of East Asian Trough(EAT),South Asian High(SAH)and the western Pacific subtropical high(WPSH).The top three EOF patterns explained 33.4%,21.8%,and 16.0%of the total variance inmeteorology-associated ozone.Absolute principal component scores-multiple linear regression(APCS-MLR)analyse quantitatively identified that enhanced EAT and SAH with a northward location of WPSH were favourable to surface ozone formation in central and eastern regions,but unfavourable to ozone formation in edge regions such as SCB. 展开更多

In the context of post-stimulation shale gas wells,the terms“shut-in”and“flowback”refer to two critical phases that occur after hydraulic fracturing(fracking)has been completed.These stages play a crucial role in determining both the well’s initial production performance and its long-term hydrocarbon recovery.By establishing a comprehensive big data analysis platform,the flowback dynamics of over 1000 shale gas wells were analyzed in this work,leading to the development of an index system for evaluating flowback production capacity.Additionally,a shut-in chart was created for wells with different types of post-stimulation fracture networks,providing a structured approach to optimizing production strategies.A dynamic analysis method for flowback was also developed,using daily pressure drop and artificial fracture conductivity as key indicators.This method offers a systematic and effective approach to managing the shut-in and flowback processes for gas wells.Field trials demonstrated significant improvements:the probability of sand production was reduced,gas breakthrough time was extended,artificial fracture conductivity was enhanced,and the average estimated ultimate recovery(EUR)per well increased. 展开更多

The calibration experiment of accelerometer was conducted. With one-dimension stress wave theory, ANSYS/LS-DYNA software and experiment, the effect rules of the projectile's front-head style and the accelerometer's mounted base's length on acceleration waveform were analyzed. The results show that the acceleration duration inspired from Hopkinson bar is almost equal to the rising edge time of perfect half sine stress wave, and it is independent to the mounted base's length. Moreover, the projectile's fronthead style is a main affecting factor, and the projectiles with less Conical degrees will produce the lower amplitude and longer acceleration duration. 展开更多

For the parallel inverter system without output isolation transformers, the difference of DC components of the output voltage can cause large DC loop-current among modular inverters. Aiming at this problem, this paper studies several DC loop-current detecting and restraining methods. By digital adjustment with high precision on the DC components of reference sine wave, the DC components of inverter′s output voltage can be adjusted to restrain DC loop-current. The proportion of the nonrenewable purchased emergy input to the total auxiliary emergy input increased from 21.80% in 1980 to 33.04% in 2010. In 1980-2010 the total emergy output of the system increased by 2.43 times, the proportions of the stock farming emergy output and fishery emergy output to the total emergy output increased sharply, while those of the planting emergy output and forestry emergy output showed a considerable decline. The design of aircraft hydraulic pipeline system is limited by many factors,such as the integrity of aviation structure or narrow installation space,so the limited clamp support position should be considered.This paper studied the frequency adjustment and dynamic responses reduction of the multi-support pipeline system through experiment and numerical simulation.To avoid the resonance of pipeline system,we proposed two different optimization programs,one was to avoid aero-engine working range,and another was to avoid aircraft hydraulic pump pulsation range.An optimization method was introduced in this paper to obtain the optimal clamp position.The experiments were introduced to validate the optimization results,and the theoretical optimization results can agree well with the test.With regard to avoiding the aero-engine vibration frequency,the test results revealed that the first natural frequency was far from the aero-engine vibration frequency.And the dynamic frequency sweep results showed that no resonance occurred on the pipeline in the engine vibration frequency range after optimization.Additionally,with regard to avoiding the pump vibration frequency,the test results revealed that natural frequencies have been adjusted and far from the pump vibration frequency.And the dynamic frequency sweep results showed that pipeline under optimal clamp position cannot lead to resonance.The sensitivity analysis results revealed the changing relationships between different clamp position and natural frequency.This study can provide helpful guidance on the analysis and design of practical aircraft pipeline. 展开更多

The increasingly complex battlefield environment requests much closer connection in a team having both manned and unmanned aerial vehicles(MAVs and UAVs). This special heterogeneous team structure causes demands for effective organizational structure design solutions. Implementing adjustable autonomy in the organizational structure, the expected evaluation function is established based on the physical resource, intelligent resource, network efficiency, network vulnerability and task execution reliability. According to the above constraints, together with interaction latency, decision-making information processing capacity, and decision-making latency, we aim to find a preferential organizational structure. The proposed organizational structure includes cooperative relationships, supervisory control relationships, and decision-making authorization relationships. In addition,by considering the influence on the intelligent support capabilities and the task execution reliability created by adjustable autonomy, it helps to build the proposed organizational structure designed with certain degree of flexibility to deal with the potential changes in the unpredictable battlefield environment. Simulation is conducted to confirm our design to be valid. And the method is still valid under different battlefield environments and interventions. 展开更多

The accurate control for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an electronic air suspension(EAS) still is a challenging problem that has not been effectively solved in prior researches. This paper proposes a new adaptive controller to control the vehicle height and to adjust the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body(leveling control) during the vehicle height adjustment procedures by an EAS system. A nonlinear mechanism model of the full?car vehicle height adjustment system is established to reflect the system dynamic behaviors and to derive the system optimal control law. To deal with the nonlinear characters in the vehicle height and leveling adjustment processes, the nonlinear system model is globally linearized through the state feedback method. On this basis, a fuzzy sliding mode controller(FSMC) is designed to improve the control accuracy of the vehicle height adjustment and to reduce the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method more accurately, the full?car EAS system model programmed using AMESim is also given. Then, the co?simulation study of the FSMC performance can be conducted. Finally, actual vehicle tests are performed with a city bus, and the test results illustrate that the vehicle height adjustment performance is effectively guaranteed by the FSMC, and the peak values of the roll and pitch angles of the vehicle body during the vehicle height adjustment procedures are also reduced significantly. This research proposes an effective control methodology for the vehicle height and leveling adjustment system of an EAS, which provides a favorable control performance for the system. 展开更多
