The X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), scanning electron microscope(SEM) and UV-vis absorption were used to characterize the prepared MoS_2/ZnO photocatalysts. It was proved that the combination of Mo S2 and Zn O can increase the content of oxygen vacancies on surface of Zn O, thus improving the light absorption capacity in visible light region and reducing the band gap of Zn O. And the photocatalytic performance of Zn O was improved. Experimental results show that the MoS_2/ZnO(3 wt%) compound has the highest degradation rate for methylene blue(MB) under visible light, which means that it has the best photocatalytic activity among all the prepared samples.展开更多
Thermogravimetry(TG)analysis was applied for the pyrolysis of activated carbon from pistachio shell in a nitrogen atmosphere by physical activation and chemical activation using carbon dioxide and H3PO4.The kinetic st...Thermogravimetry(TG)analysis was applied for the pyrolysis of activated carbon from pistachio shell in a nitrogen atmosphere by physical activation and chemical activation using carbon dioxide and H3PO4.The kinetic study was accomplished using TG curves based on weight loss as a function of temperature.TG experiments were performed under nitrogen atmosphere(100 ML/min)and a linear heating rate of 20℃/min up to 850℃.Differential thermogravimetric(DTG)data were analyzed using an Arrhenius type reaction model assuming a first-order reaction.Kinetic parameters including activation energy,Ea,and pre-exponential factor,A,for this activated carbon was determined.The activation energy(E,,=172.25 k J/tool)and maximum rate temperature(Rt=670℃)were approximately in the ranges of Ea values from previous studies using types of activated carbon with values between 100-300 kJ/mol.The thermodynamic parameters of activation,△Gc=220.51 kJ/mol,△Hf=164.42 kJ/mol and△Sc=-59.48 J/tool K,were obtained.These quantities indicated the obtained activated carbon from pistachio shell is stable but the rate of the pyrolysis is slow at low temperatures.展开更多

Combination of the self-developed control module and the large diameter mirrors reconstruct the beam stabilization system, and some important procedures are presented, such as calibration arid average filter. The results show that the horizontal pointing and vertical pointing are stabilized to within 8.43 and 7.59 μrad, and the beam horizontal position and vertical position are stabilized to within 2.16 and 2.11 μm respectively. The regulating time is within 84 ms. Thus the method presented is effective for the current stabilization system applied in lithography tools.展开更多

Results indicated that compounds 3...A new series of benzothiazole Schiff bases 3–29 was synthesized and screened for antitumor activity against cervical cancer(Hela) and kidney fibroblast cancer(COS-7) cell lines. Results indicated that compounds 3, 14, 19, 27 and 28 have promising activity against Hela cell line with IC50 values of 2.41,3.06, 6.46, 2.22 and 6.25 mmol/L, respectively, in comparison to doxorubicin as a reference antitumor agent(IC50 2.05 mmol/L). In addition, compound 3 displayed excellent activity against COS-7 cell line with IC50 value of 4.31 mmol/L in comparison to doxorubicin(IC50 3.04 mmol/L). In the present work,structure based pharmacophore mapping, molecular docking, protein-ligand interaction, fingerprints and binding energy calculations were employed in a virtual screening strategy to identify the interaction between the compounds and the active site of the putative target, EGFR tyrosine kinase. Molecular properties, toxicity, drug-likeness, and drug score profiles of compounds 3, 14, 19, 27, 28 and 29 were also assessed.展开更多

Polyvinyl alcohol-activated charcoal(PVA-AC) composite scaffolds were deve...The present work focused on developing an innovative composite material by reinforcing polymer matrix with highly porous activated charcoal. Polyvinyl alcohol-activated charcoal(PVA-AC) composite scaffolds were developed by varying the AC concentrations(0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5 wt%) in PVA matrix by freeze drying method. The developed scaffolds were characterized for their physicochemical, mechanical and in-vitro biological properties. In addition, the effect of AC on the attachment, proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast MG 63 cells was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay, alkaline phosphatase(ALP) activity assay and alizarin red stain-based(ARS) assay. All the PVA-AC composite scaffolds exhibited good bioactivity, hemocompatibility and protein adsorption properties. The scaffolds with high AC concentration(2.5 wt%) showed controlled drug release kinetics that are suitable for long term healing. The mechanical properties of all the PVA-AC composite scaffolds were improved when compared to the pure PVA scaffold. The high porosity, swelling degree and hydrophilicity of PVA-AC composite scaffolds facilitated cell attachment and proliferation. This is due to porous AC present in the sample that supported the osteoblast differentiation and formed mineralized nodules without the addition of any extra agents. From the above studies, it can be concluded that PVA-AC composite scaffolds are promising biomaterials for bone tissue engineering applications.展开更多

Synthesis and characterization of Schiff base ligands derived from substituted amine and salicylaldehyde and their complexes (Cu<sup>2+</sup>, Co<sup>2+</sup>) are reported. The ligands and ligand-complexes were characterized by melting point, FTIR, CHN-elemental analysis and UV-Visible analysis. The UV-Visible and elemental analysis of complexes established (1:2) mole ratio (M:L). The stability constant and thermodynamic parameters (K, ΔG, ΔH, ΔS) were determined at different temperature (30 - 40)°C which established that the metal-complexes were very stable. Temperature and nutrients are the domin...The combination of preozonation and subsequent biological granular activated carbon (O3/BAC) filtration is well known as a promising method for the removal of many pollutants. Temperature and nutrients are the dominant factors in external conditions to influence the biological communities. To explore the influence of preozonation under low temperature, the factors such as dissolved oxygen (DO), dissolved organic carbon (DOC) and NH4^+-N were analyzed from the sampling ports every week; triphenyl tetrazolium ehloride-dehydrogenase activity (TTC-DHA) and the nitrifying activity were detected along the bed height ofbiofilter at four levels (10. 40. 70 and i 10 cm) on the 90th, 110th, and 130th day; ~nicrobial community, based on 16S rRNA gene-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE), was monitored on the 130th day of the operation. The observed microbial property showed that preozonation had a positive influence on bioactivity, biomass and nitrifying activity. Community analysis showed no significant difference on the biodiversity of nitrifying bacteria between the parallel filters in the inlet end based on the method employed. This result showed that biofilters' performance is not correlated well with microbial biodiversity. The elevated functionality in O3/BAC filters can be a result of increased microbial activity, which was promoted by preozonation.展开更多
Light-field microscopy(LFM)enables rapid volumetric imaging through single-frame acquisition and fast 3D reconstruction algorithms.The high speed and low phototoxicity of LFM make it highly suitable for real-time 3D f...Light-field microscopy(LFM)enables rapid volumetric imaging through single-frame acquisition and fast 3D reconstruction algorithms.The high speed and low phototoxicity of LFM make it highly suitable for real-time 3D fluorescence imaging,such as studies of neural activity monitoring and blood flow analysis.However,in in vivo fluorescence imaging scenarios,the light intensity needs to be reduced as much as possible to achieve longer-term observations.The resulting low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)caused by reduced light intensity significantly degrades the quality of 3D reconstruction in LFM.Existing deep-learning-based methods struggle to incorporate the structured intensity distribution and noise characteristics inherent to LFM data,often leading to artifacts and uneven energy distributions.To address these challenges,we propose the denoise-weighted view-channel-depth(DNW-VCD)network,integrating a two-step noise model and energy weight matrix into an LFM reconstruction framework.Additionally,we developed an attenuator-induced imaging system for dual-SNR image acquisition to validate DNW-VCD’s performance.Experimental results show that our method achieves artifact-reduced,realtime 3D imaging with isotropic resolution and lower phototoxicity,as verified through imaging of fluorescent beads,algae,and zebrafish heart.展开更多

The observed microbial property showed that preozonation had a positive influence on bioactivity, biomass and nitrifying activity. Community analysis showed no significant difference on the biodiversity of nitrifying bacteria between the parallel filters in the inlet end based on the method employed. This result showed that biofilters' performance is not correlated well with microbial biodiversity. The elevated functionality in O3/BAC filters can be a result of increased microbial activity, which was promoted by preozonation.

文摘Light-field microscopy(LFM)enables rapid volumetric imaging through single-frame acquisition and fast 3D reconstruction algorithms.The high speed and low phototoxicity of LFM make it highly suitable for real-time 3D fluorescence imaging,such as studies of neural activity monitoring and blood flow analysis.However,in in vivo fluorescence imaging scenarios,the light intensity needs to be reduced as much as possible to achieve longer-term observations.The resulting low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)caused by reduced light intensity significantly degrades the quality of 3D reconstruction in LFM.Existing deep-learning-based methods struggle to incorporate the structured intensity distribution and noise characteristics inherent to LFM data,often leading to artifacts and uneven energy distributions.To address these challenges,we propose the denoise-weighted view-channel-depth(DNW-VCD)network,integrating a two-step noise model and energy weight matrix into an LFM reconstruction framework.Additionally,we developed an attenuator-induced imaging system for dual-SNR image acquisition to validate DNW-VCD’s performance.Experimental results show that our method achieves artifact-reduced,realtime 3D imaging with isotropic resolution and lower phototoxicity,as verified through imaging of fluorescent beads,algae,and zebrafish heart.
