However, little effort has been made on studying the users' motivation to participate in blog activities. This paper aims to construct a theoretical model about the blog adoption based on technology acceptance model(TAM theory), social capital theory and social exchange theory, and put forward 18 related hypotheses. Then the survey method is adopted to analyze the data from 208 questionnaires using the SPSS and LISREL tools, and to examine the theoretical model and hypotheses. Finally, the paper makes a discussion from five aspects due to the results of data analysis, including individual driving factors, group driving factors, community driving factors, technology acceptance factors and moderating variables. The results show that curiosity/enjoyment, user's experience, social interaction and social identification will greatly affect users' motivation to accept a blog; meanwhile, perceived ease of use, exchange cost and trust will partially influence users' intention to participate in blog activities. The results also suggest that age and education degrees have significant moderating effects on users' acceptance and updating of blogs.展开更多

This paper discusses the case of cultured meat against this multitude of possible determinants shaping future consumer acceptance or rejection. The paper also presents insights from a primary exploratory study performed in April 2013 with consumers from Flanders(Belgium)(n=180). The concept of cultured meat was only known(unaided) by 13% of the study participants. After receiving basic information about what cultured meat is, participants expressed favorable expectations about the concept. Only 9% rejected the idea of trying cultured meat, while two thirds hesitated and about quarter indicated to be willing to try it. The provision of additional information about the environmental benefits of cultured meat compared to traditional meat resulted in 43% of the participants indicating to be willing to try this novel food, while another 51% indicated to be ‘maybe' willing to do so. Price and sensory expectations emerged as major obstacles. Consumers eating mostly vegetarian meals were less convinced that cultured meat might be healthy, suggesting that vegetarians may not be the ideal primary target group for this novel meat substitute. Although exploratory rather than conclusive, the findings generally underscore doubts among consumers about trying this product when it would become available, and therefore also the challenge for cultured meat to mimic traditional meat in terms of sensory quality at an affordable price in order to become acceptable for future consumers.展开更多

文摘Blogs have permeated into our daily lives at a fast speed, and various kinds of blog spaces have attracted our attention. The results also suggest that age and education degrees have significant moderating effects on users' acceptance and updating of blogs.
文摘Turbulent market conditions,well-publicized advantages, and potential individual, social, and environmental risks make blockchain-based cryptocurrencies a popular focus of the public and scientific communities. This paper contributes to the literature on the future of crypto markets by analyzing a promising cryptocurrency innovation from a customer-centric point of view;it explores the factors influencing user acceptance of a hypothetical social network-backed cryptocurrency in Central Europe. The research model adapts an internationally comparative framework and extends the well-established unified theory of acceptance and use of the technology model with the concept of perceived risk and trust. We explore user attitudes with a survey on a large Hungarian sample and analyze the database with consistent partial least square structural equation modeling methodology. The results show that users would be primarily influenced by the expected usefulness of the new technology assuming it is easy to use.Furthermore, our analysis also highlights that while social influence does not seem to sway user opinions, consumers are susceptible to technological risks, and trust is an important determinant of their openness toward innovations in financial services. We contribute to the cryptocurrency literature with a future-centric technological focus and provide new evidence from an under-researched geographic region. The results also have practical implications for business decision-makers and policymakers.
文摘E-commerce present opportunities and challenges for businesses, especially for micro-enterprises. This paper proposed a theoretical framework that in line with the unique characteristics of E-commerce acceptance in micro-enterprises in Chengdu, which is based on the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. The extending UTAUT model includes key constructs of performance expectation, perceived behavioral control and the characteristics of owner-managers.
文摘Consumer acceptance of cultured meat is expected to depend on a wide diversity of determinants ranging from technologyrelated perceptions to product-specific expectations, and including wider contextual factors like media coverage, public involvement, and trust in science, policy and society. Although exploratory rather than conclusive, the findings generally underscore doubts among consumers about trying this product when it would become available, and therefore also the challenge for cultured meat to mimic traditional meat in terms of sensory quality at an affordable price in order to become acceptable for future consumers.

文摘Rapid global population growth has caused an increasing need for products containing protein.Meat products are the most common high-protein food source, but impact the environment, cause animal welfare issues, and raise public health concerns.Consumer health and food safety are paramount to the food industry. Both the scientists and food industry are actively seeking plant proteins to substitute for animal-sourced proteins.Plant proteins have a well-balanced amino acid composition, and exhibit great potential for replacing meat via the development of healthy,high-protein,low-saturated fat,cholesterol-free,and nutritionally similar meat-like products.Generally, meat analogue formulations are specially designed and processing conditions are optimized to obtain the texture and bite of real animal meat. This article focuses on plant-based meat analogues, and covers aspects regarding processing, products, quality, and nutritional and structural modifications.Product safety consciousness and consumer acceptance are also discussed.Challenges and perspectives for future research concerning nonmeat products are presented.

文摘In this article, an innovation diffusion model with the nonlinear acceptance is proposed to describe the dynamics of three competing products in a market. It is proved that the model admits a unique positive equilibrium, which is globally stable by excluding the existence of periodic solutions and by using the theory of three dimensional competition systems.
文摘Objectives To explore the relationship between acceptance of illness and quality of life(QOL),and factors associated with acceptance of illness among men who have sex with men(MSM)living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV).Methods Three hundred and one MSM were recruited from an HIV clinic between August and December 2018.The battery of measurements consisted of the Acceptance of Illness Scale,World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire for HIV brief version,HIV Cognitive Appraisal Scale and a self-designed questionnaire used to collect general information.Pearson correlation test was used to examine the relationship between acceptance of illness and QOL.Univariate and multivariate ordinal logistic regression analyses were used to examine whether the general data(demographic and HIV-related clinical data)and HIV cognitive appraisal were associated with acceptance of illness levels. Results Descriptive analysis showed the acceptance level among MSM living with HIV was moderate(Mean=26.29,SD=5.28).Those with a better acceptance of illness had a better QOL(r=0.69,P<0.01).In the multivariate ordinal logistic regression model, education level, threat appraisals(OR:1.09;95%CI[1.06–1.13]),and controllability appraisals(OR:0.82;95%CI[0.71–0.94])were significantly associated with acceptance of illness. Conclusions Results showed acceptance level was moderate and had a positive correlation with QOL.High level of education, low threat appraisals and high controllability appraisals were related to high illness acceptance. This finding highlights the importance of focusing on HIV-infected MSM with low education and on their perceptions of threat and controllability about HIV-related issues when designing interventions to promote illness acceptance in this vulnerable population.
文摘Objective:To identify the acceptance of the vaccine based on factors influencing the vaccination program and the side effects from vaccinated people. Methods:A cross-sectional online survey of 1529 Bangladeshi adults(≥18 years)was conducted between 17 April,2021 and 26 April,2021.Statistical analysis of the data included Chi-square test and multinomial logistic regression analysis. Results:In total,67.04%of the participants were willing to accept a COVID-19 vaccine, and 45.00%of them in our study had already received.Overall Bangladeshi people were more likely to accept COVID-19 vaccine if the vaccine reduces risk of infectious disease and has no associated health risk after receiving it.Among the respondents, religions, education level, living area(urban),belif that vaccines protect against infectious diseases and vaccines do not have health-related risk and vaccination was significantly associated with the acceptance of COVID-19 vaccines.Conversely, people’s perception on development of natural immunity rather than receiving vaccines was also positively reflected.More than half(57.41%)reported minor side effects such as fever, muscle pain and headache after getting vaccine shots. Conclusions:This study revealed that the acceptance rate was influenced by socio-demographic and health-related characteristics and people are not afraid of this vaccine if they faced minor side effects after receiving it.These findings might help the government and policymakers of Bangladesh to implement necessary steps to accomplish this vaccination program effectively.

文摘Uniformity of dosage units[1]is one of the most commonly employed compendial tests to evaluate the dosage units. In the test, the acceptance value(AV)is the key statistics-based acceptance parameter with the limit of not more than 15 to measure the uniformity degree of the dosage units in terms of content uniformity or weight variation as applicable. With quality assurance(QA)principle, there should be some kinds of predetermined acceptance limits, like Bergum method introduced by James S.Bergum in 1990[2]and 2007[3]and recently recognized by ASTM 2709[4]and ASTM 2810[5]to ensure that the AV results for any future quality control(QC)samples will not exceed the compendial limit(NMT 15).
