University courses should have both breadth and depth.However,most courses in universities only focus on the breadth construction,while neglecting the depth construction,resulting in students being unable to apply the knowledge they have learned to conduct research or solve real-world application problems.The students’high-level abilities are insufficient and not well-trained.Therefore,in this paper,we propose a T-structured course design method to ensure both breadth and depth of a course.The proposed T-structured course design method includes four aspects:T-structured course contents,T-structured teaching activities,T-structured examination formats,and T-structured homework difficulty.By applying our proposed T-structured course design strategy to the course Optimization Algorithms and Intelligent Computing,good results are achieved,demonstrating the applicability of our proposed strategy. 展开更多

Remote sensing and web-based platforms have emerged as vital tools in the effective monitoring of mangrove ecosystems, which are crucial for coastal protection, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration. Utilizing satellite imagery and aerial data, remote sensing allows researchers to assess the health and extent of mangrove forests over large areas and time periods, providing insights into changes due to environmental stressors like climate change, urbanization, and deforestation. Coupled with web-based platforms, this technology facilitates real-time data sharing and collaborative research efforts among scientists, policymakers, and conservationists. Thus, there is a need to grow this research interest among experts working in this kind of ecosystem. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive literature review on the effective role of remote sensing and web-based platform in monitoring mangrove ecosystem. The research paper utilized the thematic approach to extract specific information to use in the discussion which helped realize the efficiency of digital monitoring for the environment. Web-based platforms and remote sensing represent a powerful tool for environmental monitoring, particularly in the context of forest ecosystems. They facilitate the accessibility of vital data, promote collaboration among stakeholders, support evidence-based policymaking, and engage communities in conservation efforts. A“smart course”denotes a learner-centered curriculum model that deeply integrates advanced technologies,including generative artificial intelligence(AI)and big data analytics,with ongoing optimization and iterative refinement.This paper examines the pathways of smart course development in higher vocational education by using the Study Tour Course Design course as a practical case study.The analysis is conducted from four perspectives:innovation in educational concepts,innovation in teaching models,transformation in learning paradigms,and enhancement in evaluation systems.By developing a threedimensional framework encompassing“knowledge,skills,and problems”,the focus of education shifts from“knowledge imparting”to“competency development”.This approach fosters a transformation in teaching interactions,moving beyond the traditional“teacher and student interaction”to a more integrated trinity collaboration of“teachers,students,and machines”,and promotes the transformation of students’learning from“passive receptive learning”to“autonomous inquiry-based learning”.Simultaneously,it facilitates the transition of evaluation methods from“outcome-based evaluation”to“multi-dimensional evaluation”. 展开更多

Research on ideological and political education in public basic courses of colleges and universities has been recognized as a crucial means of enhancing the quality of higher education and promoting the comprehensive development of students.By constructing an implementation framework for ideological and political education based on the“integrated core and three wings”model,this study explores the multi-classroom integration approach under the“characteristic wing,”in which ideological and political education is embedded into public basic courses.The objective is to improve students’ideological and political qualities,fostering their development as socialist builders and successors with well-rounded growth in morality,intelligence,physique,aesthetics,and labor.The practical foundation of the research is first analyzed,followed by an elaboration on the implementation method of the“integrated core and three wings”approach in ideological and political education within public basic courses.Reflections on the implementation process of multi-classroom ideological and political education are provided,along with suggestions for improvement. 展开更多

Large-scale deep-seated landslides pose a significant threat to human life and infrastructure.Therefore,closely monitoring these landslides is crucial for assessing and mitigating their associated risks.In this paper,the authors introduce the So Lo Mon framework,a comprehensive monitoring system developed for three large-scale landslides in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano,Italy.A web-based platform integrates various monitoring data(GNSS,topographic data,in-place inclinometer),providing a user-friendly interface for visualizing and analyzing the collected data.This facilitates the identification of trends and patterns in landslide behaviour,enabling the triggering of warnings and the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.The So Lo Mon platform has proven to be an invaluable tool for managing the risks associated with large-scale landslides through non-structural measures and driving countermeasure works design.It serves as a centralized data repository,offering visualization and analysis tools.This information empowers decisionmakers to make informed choices regarding risk mitigation,ultimately ensuring the safety of communities and infrastructures. 展开更多
