A smoothing algorithm for energy spectrum based on differential nonlinearity(DNL) error elimination with total counts conservation for high-energy particle detector systems is presented. It is physics based and is only determined by the DNL error of analog-to-digital converter device itself. From the experimental results, this algorithm slightly improves both noise performance and energy resolution, while greatly reduces the testing errors by almost a half compared to their original values. In addition, the reduced-x^2 statistic for evaluating the Gaussian fitting goodness is significantly reduced by almost two orders after smoothing. As a typical verification example,this algorithm is successfully applied in the ground calibration of the Low Energy X-ray Instrument onboard the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(HXMT-LE) satellite,lending it a powerful, nondestructive and low-cost tool for both calibration and data processing for high-energy particle detector systems. 展开更多

Spectrum sensing is the key and premise of cognitive radio( CR). Current parallel cooperative spectrum sensing strategies have some problems,such as large number of cooperative secondary users and lack of consideration for the sensing overhead and the transmission gain. To solve those problems,an optimized parallel cooperative spectrum sensing strategy based on iterative KuhnMunkres( KM) algorithm was proposed. To maximize the total system profit,it considers the tradeoff between the sensing overhead and the transmission gain. Iterative KM algorithm was applied to obtaining the optimal assignment,which indicated when and which channels secondary users should sense. Furthermore,the required detection probability was introduced to avoid unnecessary waste when the accuracy met the system requirement. Monte Carlo simulations show that the proposed strategy can obtain higher total system profit with fewer cooperative secondary users. 展开更多

To solve discrete optimization difficulty of the spectrum allocation problem,a membrane-inspired quantum shuffled frog leaping(MQSFL) algorithm is proposed.The proposed MQSFL algorithm applies the theory of membrane computing and quantum computing to the shuffled frog leaping algorithm,which is an effective discrete optimization algorithm.Then the proposed MQSFL algorithm is used to solve the spectrum allocation problem of cognitive radio systems.By hybridizing the quantum frog colony optimization and membrane computing,the quantum state and observation state of the quantum frogs can be well evolved within the membrane structure.The novel spectrum allocation algorithm can search the global optimal solution within a reasonable computation time.Simulation results for three utility functions of a cognitive radio system are provided to show that the MQSFL spectrum allocation method is superior to some previous spectrum allocation algorithms based on intelligence computing. 展开更多

Cognitive Radio Spectrum Allocation Strategy Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm

With the rapid development of wireless communication industry, shortage situation of spectrum resource is increasingly significant. It has become an important topic to study cognitive radio spectrum allocation algorithm that is of higher spectrum utilization ratio, less system power consumption and better algorithm efficiency. Analyzes spectrum allocation models based on genetic algorithm, and then puts forward new improved genetic algorithm. The algorithm adopts niche crowding operation to avoid individual inbreeding. It adaptively adjusts crossover and mutation probability to keep them always in the appropriate state. It provides more equal individual competition opportunity by hierarchical measures, which can effectively avert premature convergence to local optimal solution. It obviously improves the district's total transfer rate on the premise that it has met the requirements of minimum user transfer rate and limitations of maximum total power and maximum bit error rate. To improve the frequency utilization rate in WSN, a spectrum management system for WSN combined with cloud computing technology should be considered. From the optimization point of view, the study of dynamic spectrum management can be divided into three kinds of methods, including Nash equilibrium, social utility maximization, and competitive economy equilibrium. In this paper, we propose a genetic algorithm based approach to allocate the power spectrum dynamically. The objective is to maximize the sum of individual Shannon utilities with the background interference and crosstalk consideration. Compared to the approach in [1], the experimental result shows better balance between efficiency and effectiveness of our approach. 展开更多

Nature-inspired optimization algorithms refer to techniques that simulate the behavior and ecosystem of living organisms or natural phenomena.One such technique is the“Photosynthesis Spectrum Algorithm,”which was developed by mimicking the process by which photons behave as a population in plants.This optimization technique has three stages that mimic the structure of leaves and the fluorescence phenomenon.Each stage updates the fitness of the solution by using a mathematical equation to direct the photon to the reaction center.Three stages of testing have been conducted to test the efficacy of this approach.In the first stage,functions from the CEC 2019 and CEC 2021 competitions are used to evaluate the performance and convergence of the proposed method.The statistical results from non-parametric Friedman and Kendall’s W tests show that the proposed method is superior to other methods in terms of obtaining the best average of solutions and achieving stability in finding solutions.In other sections,the experiment is designed for data clustering.The proposed method is compared with recent data clustering and classification metaheuristic algorithms,indicating that this method can achieve significant performance for clustering in less than 10 s of CPU time and with an accuracy of over 90%. 展开更多

反应谱特征研究可为地震设计反应谱修订提供参考。选取2024年中国台湾花莲M_(W)7.4地震中高烈度(即Ⅶ、Ⅷ和Ⅸ度)台站的水平向加速度记录,使用自适应混合变异差分进化算法标定反应谱,并分析标定谱特征参数随场地30 m深度平均剪切波速(V_... 反应谱特征研究可为地震设计反应谱修订提供参考。选取2024年中国台湾花莲M_(W)7.4地震中高烈度(即Ⅶ、Ⅷ和Ⅸ度)台站的水平向加速度记录,使用自适应混合变异差分进化算法标定反应谱,并分析标定谱特征参数随场地30 m深度平均剪切波速(V_(S30))的变化趋势。结果表明:不同烈度的加速度反应谱平均值与平均标定谱的变化趋势相似,差异在正负一倍标准差内,标定谱特征周期T_(g)为0.4~1.2 s,标定谱β_(max)为2.0~500,标定谱衰减指数γ为0.8~1.6;随着V_(S30)增加,标定谱T_(g)的平均值逐渐减小,β_(max)平均值增加,Ⅸ度标定谱的γ平均值增加。研究发现,周期在1.0 s左右,规范设计谱取值均小于实际F405台站反应谱取值,该地震对中长周期结构破坏较强,给震中附近中高层的建筑造成严重破坏;为应对高烈度地震作用,建议将规范设计谱T_(g)增加0.3 s,Ⅱ、Ⅲ类场地β_(max)提高至2.50。 展开更多

In this paper, we present a simple and fast spectra inversion method to reconstruct the temperature distribution along single fiber Bragg grating (FBC) temperature sensor. This is a fully distributed sensing method based on the simulated annealing evolutionary (SAE) algorithm. Several modifications are made to improve the algorithm efficiency, including choosing the most superior chromosome, setting up the boundary of every gene according to the density of resonance peaks of the reflection spectrum, and dynamically modifying the boundary with the algorithm running. Numerical simulation results show that both the convergence rate and the fluctuation are significantly improved. A high spat-ial temperature resolution of 0.25 mm has been achieved at the time cost of 86 s. 展开更多

This paper addresses the probability of atmospheric refractivity estimation by using field measurements at an array of radio receivers in terms of angle-of-arrival spectrum. Angle-of-arrival spectrum information is simulated by the ray optics model and refractivity is expressed in the presence of an ideal tri-linear profile. The estimation of the refractivity is organized as an optimization problem and a genetic Mgorithm is used to search for the optimal solution from various trial refractivity profiles. Theoretical analysis demonstrates the feasibility of this method to retrieve the refractivity parameters. Simulation results indicate that this approach has a fair anti-noise ability and its accuracy performance is mainly dependent on the antenna aperture size and its positions. 展开更多

An online experiment to acquire the interior noise of a China Railways High-speed (CRH) train showed that it wasmainly composed of middle-low frequency components and could not be described properly by linear or A-weighted soundpressure level (SPL). Thus, the appropriate way to evaluate the high-speed train interior noise is to use sound quality parameters,and the most important is loudness. To overcome the disadvantages of the existing loudness algorithms, a novel signal-adaptiveMoore loudness algorithm (AMLA) based on the equivalent rectangular bandwidth (ERB) spectrum was introduced. The valida-tion reveals that AMLA can obtain higher accuracy and efficiency, and the simulated dark red noise conforms best to thehigh-speed train interior noise by loudness and auditory assessment. The main loudness component of the interior noise is below27.6 ERB rate (erbr), and the sound quality of the interior noise is relatively stable between 300-350 km/h. The specific loudnesscomponents among 12-15 erbr stay invariable throughout the acceleration or deceleration process while components among20-27 erbr are evidently speed related. The unusual random noise is effectively identified, which indicates that AMLA is anappropriate method for sound quality assessment of the high-speed train under both steady and transient conditions. 展开更多

A Levenberg–Marquardt Gaussian fitting algorithm has been used for analyzing the overlap of three peaks(the 583-ke V peak of^(208)Tl, the 609-ke V peak of214 Bi, and the 662-ke V peak of^(137)Cs) using an in situ Na I(Tl) scintillation spectrometer. The algorithm, in addition,was compared with a genetic algorithm used for multiple deconvolution. The three fitted peak areas(583, 609, and662 ke V) were calculated from the measured gamma-ray spectra obtained from a simulation experiment in which a^(137) Cs source was buried at different soil depths(from 18 to38 cm). The application of the Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm yielded similar results compared to the genetic algorithm. A lack-of-fit test showed that the fitting is good when the instrumental noise levels were estimated from replicated analyses. The relative fitting error of the total net area and the residual standard deviation were within 5 %and 0.04, respectively, and the goodness of the fitting was better than 0.98. While the methods used in this paper give high performance, the results may lead to incorrect estimation when the signal-to-noise ratio is smaller than-30 d B. This study is useful for the determination of radioactive specific activity of^(137) Cs by in situ spectrometry. 展开更多

With appropriate geometry configuration, helicopter- borne rotating synthetic aperture radar (ROSAR) can break through the limitations of monostatic synthetic aperture radar (SAR) on forward-looking imaging. With this capability, ROSAR has extensive potential applications, such as self-navigation and self-landing. Moreover, it has many advantages if combined with the frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology. A novel geometric configuration and an imaging algorithm for helicopter-borne FMCW-ROSAR are proposed. Firstly, by per- forming the equivalent phase center principle, the separated trans- mitting and receiving antenna system is equalized to the case of system configuration with antenna for both transmitting and receiving signals. Based on this, the accurate two-dimensional spectrum is obtained and the Doppler frequency shift effect in- duced by the continuous motion of the platform during the long pulse duration is compensated. Next, the impacts of the velocity approximation error on the imaging algorithm are analyzed in de- tail, and the system parameters selection and resolution analysis are presented. The well-focused SAR image is then obtained by using the improved Omega-K algorithm incorporating the accurate compensation method for the velocity approximation error. FJnally, correctness of the analysis and effectiveness of the proposed al- gorithm are demonstrated through simulation results. 展开更多

In this paper,a novel method is proposed and employed to design a single diffractive optical element(DOE) for implementing spectrum-splitting and beam-concentration(SSBC) functions simultaneously.We develop an optimization algorithm,through which the SSBC DOE can be optimized within an arbitrary thickness range according to the limitations of modern photolithography technology.Theoretical simulation results reveal that the designed SSBC DOE has a high optical focusing efficiency.It is expected that the designed SSBC DOE should have practical applications in high-efficiency solar cell systems. 展开更多
