The effect of solution and aging treatments on microstructure and mechanical properties of warm-rolled 7075 alloy was investigated via optical microscope,electron backscattered diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and tensile tests.The 7075 alloy was subjected to solution treatments at 450℃for 1 h(ST1),490℃ for 1 h(ST2)and 1.5 h(ST3).Three aging routes were carried out on samples from ST2:one-step(A1),two-step(A2),and three-step aging(A3).The experimental results show mainly recrystallized equiaxed grains in ST1 and ST3 state but a combination of elongated and equiaxed grains in ST2 condition.Three aged alloys have similar microstructures of sample ST2 while the recrystallization frequency gets decreased after aging.The least recrystallization fraction occurs in A2 state.Three aged 7075 alloys all possess enhanced strength and plasticity.Precipitates characterization reveals the maximum strength is achieved in A2 sample as the matrix precipitates are composed mainly of smallηand manyη′phases.Aging route A2 appears preferable to other two aging conditions for attaining a pretty excellent combination of strength and plasticity. 展开更多

Recently results were presented for an R & D program for handling the as-cast billets of an Al-Si-Mg A6060 Al alloy at the solutionizing heat treatment temperature. A reduction in the solutionizing temperature of the as-cast billets from 585℃ to 540℃ was found. This leads to substantial energy savings without lowering the quality of the final commercial Al profiles. The alloy was treated from the microstructural point of view as an Aluminum Metal-Matrix Composite (Al-MMC). Strengthening of the Al matrix grains during the process was quantified and measured by micro-Vickers hardness testing. A possible application of this is to apply the suggested lower temperature solutionizing process to billets stockpiled in the factory for some months. The alloy undergoes natural aging, a physical process at ambient temperature that alters its microstructural features. Does this aging affect the quality of the lower temperature solutionizing treated profiles? The effect of the natural aging by micro-Vickers hardness testing on some of the same samples of our original work stockpiled in our lab for 10 months was investigated. We applied, further, the Image-Pro Plus image processing software on them in an effort to collect microstructural data and compared them to values taken 10 months earlier. Although this procedure is known for pure materials from the scientific point of view, the introduction of scrap to the raw materials for melting modifies to an extent the fabrication conditions that follow casting. This fact affects the production cost. In this study,a straightforward one-step hydrothermal method was successfully utilized to synthesize the solid solution Na_(0.9)Mg_(0.45)Ti_(3.55)O_(8)-Na_(2)Ni_(2)Ti_(6)O_(16)(NNMTO-x),where x denotes the molar percentage of Na_(2)Ni_(2)Ti_(6)O_(16)(NNTO)within Na_(0.9)Mg_(0.45)Ti_(3.55)O_(8)(NMTO),with x values of 10,20,30,40,and 50.Both XPS(X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)and EDX(Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy)analyses unequivocally validated the formation of the NNMTO-x solid solutions.It was observed that when x is below 40,the NNMTO-x solid solution retains the structural characteristics of the original NMTO.However,beyond this threshold,significant alterations in crystal morphology were noted,accompanied by a noticeable decline in photocatalytic activity.Notably,the absorption edge of NNMTO-x(x<40)exhibited a shift towards the visible-light spectrum,thereby substantially broadening the absorption range.The findings highlight that NNMTO-30 possesses the most pronounced photocatalytic activity for the reduction of CO_(2).Specifically,after a 6 h irradiation period,the production rates of CO and CH_(4)were recorded at 42.38 and 1.47μmol/g,respectively.This investigation provides pivotal insights that are instrumental in the advancement of highly efficient and stable photocatalysts tailored for CO_(2)reduction processes. 展开更多

Strategies for achieving high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries include using high-capacity materials such as high-nickel NCM,increasing the active material content in the electrode by utilizing high-conductivity carbon nanotubes(CNT)conductive materials,and electrode thickening.However,these methods are still limited due to the limitation in the capacity of high-nickel NCM,aggregation of CNT conductive materials,and nonuniform material distribution of thick-film electrodes,which ultimately damage the mechanical and electrical integrity of the electrode,leading to a decrease in electrochemical performance.Here,we present an integrated binder-CNT composite dispersion solution to realize a high-solids-content(>77 wt%)slurry for high-mass-loading electrodes and to mitigate the migration of binder and conductive additives.Indeed,the approach reduces solvent usage by approximately 30%and ensures uniform conductive additive-binder domain distribution during electrode manufacturing,resulting in improved coating quality and adhesive strength for high-mass-loading electrodes(>12 mAh cm^(−2)).In terms of various electrode properties,the presented electrode showed low resistance and excellent electrochemical properties despite the low CNT contents of 0.6 wt%compared to the pristine-applied electrode with 0.85 wt%CNT contents.Moreover,our strategy enables faster drying,which increases the coating speed,thereby offering potential energy savings and supporting carbon neutrality in wet-based electrode manufacturing processes. 展开更多

TMPRSS2 plays a crucial role in facilitating the entry of both the influenza virus and the SARSCoV-2 coronavirus into host cells.Recent studies have identified a guanine-rich sequence in the proximal promoter region of the TMPRSS2 gene,which can form G-quadruplex structures(TMPRSS2-G4s)that are potential targets for small molecules to inhibit TMPRSS2 expression.However,the structural details of the major TMPRSS2-G4 and its complex with small molecules remain unknown,hindering the development of antiviral drugs targeting TMPRSS2-Gquadruplexes(G4s).This study reports the first high-resolution nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)solution structure of the major TMPRSS2-G4,which consists of a three-tetrad core parallel-stranded G4.Both 3′and 5′flanking regions form well-defined capping structures stabilized by multiple hydrogen bonds.Importantly,we found that berberine,an antiviral alkaloid,strongly binds to the major TMPRSS2-G4 and determined its binding complex structure with TMPRSS2-G4 at a 2∶1 binding stoichiometry.Each berberine molecule recruits an adjacent flanking residue,forming a coplanar structure superimposed on two outer G-tetrads.Moreover,we demonstrated that the major TMPRSS2-G4 can stably form within a longer deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)context and be targeted by small molecules to inhibit DNA polymerase activity.Overall,this study provides structural insights into the recognition mechanism of small molecules by the major TMPRSS2-G4 and may facilitate the development of novel antiviral therapeutics targeting TMPRSS2-G4. 展开更多

Quick and accurate determination of the optimal synchrophase angle is crucial for synchrophasing control of multi-propeller aircraft with low noise.This paper proposes a novel noise prediction and optimization strategy,developing a continuous and accurate noise prediction model and obtaining its minimum by solving the Hessian matrix and Fourier-Frobenius matrix.Firstly,a novel propeller noise prediction method uses acoustic simulation pressure signals and improved propeller signatures theory to accurately estimate noise for all synchrophase angles and receiving points.Secondly,a novel optimization approach is proposed to solve the analytical solution of the minimum propeller noise:(A)A noise objective function is established,and use its first derivatives’zeros and Hessian matrix to determine the function minimum.(B)A novel Euler formula transform method is proposed to convert trigonometric polynomials into algebraic polynomials,changing the zeros of the former into those of the latter.(C)Utilize the Fourier-Frobenius matrix method to solve the zeros of algebraic polynomials.To assess the computation time and accuracy,a turboprop aircraft with two six-bladed propellers was analyzed using the computational fluid dynamics and acoustic analogy method,providing acoustic pressure signals at 20 receivers for noise prediction and optimization.The Durand-Kerner and Fourier-Frobenius matrix methods were compared.Results demonstrate that improved propeller signatures theory is more accurate,and the Hessian matrix+Fourier-Frobenius matrix method is faster and more precise than the Hessian matrix+Durand-Kerner method. 展开更多

Anammox bacteria in constructed wetlands(CWs)play pivotal role in sustainable nitrogen transformation,yet existing studies lack comprehensive analysis of environmental gradients and microbial interactions,both key factors in anammox bacteria enrichment.This study investigated the mechanisms driving anammox bacteria enrichment in lab-scale simulated CWs treating high-nitrogen wastewater,focusing on bacterial community re-sponses across wetland layers with various strategies,including continuous up-flow influent,nitrogen loading increase,effluent recirculation,intermittent influent,and anammox bacteria inoculation.Results showed that total relative and absolute abundances of anammox bacteria ranged from 0.77%to 12.50%and from 0.13 to 6.46×10^(7) copies/g,respectively.Dissolved oxygen and pH had significant positive correlations with the absolute abundance of anammox bacteria,while organic matter and nitrate negatively impacted their relative abundance.Permutational multivariate analysis of variance indicated that spatial heterogeneity explained more variation in anammox bacteria abundance(43.44%)compared to operational strategies(8.58%).In terms of microbial interactions,60 dominant species exhibited potential correlations with anammox bacteria,comprising 170 interactions(105 positive and 65 negative),which suggested that anammox bacteria generally foster cooperative relationships with dominant bacteria.Notably,significant interspecies interactions were observed between Candidatus Kuenenia(dominant anammox bacteria in CWs)and species within the genera Chitinivibrio-nia and Anaerolineaceae,suggesting that microbial interactions primarily manifest as indirect facilitative effects rather than direct mutualistic relationships.Given that the Normalized Stochasticity Ratio in CWs were<50%,this study inferred that environmental gradients have greater influence on anammox bacteria than microbial interactions. 展开更多

Zn-Mn alloys are regarded as promising biodegradable metals for orthopedic applications owing to their moderate degradation rates and favorable osteogenic properties.However,the presence of a substantial number of second-phase particles in Zn-based alloys might induce severe localized degradation via micro-coupling corrosion,thereby compromising the mechanical integrity of the alloy during in vivo tissue regeneration.In this study,high pressure solid solution(HPSS)treatment was conducted at 5 GPa and 380℃ for 1 h to fabricate Zn-0.5 Mn alloys.Microstructural characterization revealed that the HPSS treatment facilitated the formation of a supersaturated solid solution by completely dissolving theζ-MnZn_(13) phase into theα-Zn matrix.The resultant strengthening mechanisms,including supersaturated solid solution strengthening,grain-size strengthening,and dislocation strengthening,collectively enhanced the compressive yield strength(σ_(cys))of the Zn-0.5 Mn alloy to about 183.7 MPa,approximately three times that of the as-cast(AC)Zn-0.5 Mn alloy.Moreover,compared with the AC alloy,the HPSS Zn-0.5 Mn alloy exhibited uniform degradation behavior with a markedly reduced degradation rate. 展开更多

Circumlunar abort trajectories constitute a vital contingency return strategy during the translunar phase of crewed lunar missions.This paper proposes a methodology for constructing the solution set of the circumlunar abort trajectory and leverages its advantageous properties to address the optimization design problem of abort trajectories.Initially,a solution set of all feasible abort trajectories,originating from an abort point on the nominal trajectory and complying with fundamental reentry constraints,is formulated through the introduction of two novel design parameters.Subsequently,the geometric characteristics of the solution set,as well as the distributional properties of key iterative constraint responses,including flight time and velocity increment,are analyzed.Finally,the characteristics exhibited in the solution set are employed to directly identify the design parameters of the abort trajectories with minimum flight time and velocity increment,thereby providing solutions to two distinct types of optimization problems.The simulation results for a variety of nominal trajectories,encompassing the reconstruction and redesign of the Apollo13 abort trajectory,validate the proposed method,demonstrating its ability to directly generate optimal abort trajectories.The method proposed in this paper investigates feasible abort trajectories from a global perspective,providing both a framework and convenience for mission planning and iterative optimization in abort trajectory design. 展开更多

The detection of amino acid enantiomers holds significant importance in biomedical,chemical,food,and other fields.Traditional chiral recognition methods using fluorescent probes primarily rely on fluorescence intensity changes,which can compromise accuracy and repeatability.In this study,we report a novel fluorescent probe(R)-Z1 that achieves effective enantioselective recognition of chiral amino acids in water by altering emission wavelengths(>60 nm).This water-soluble probe(R)-Z1 exhibits cyan or yellow-green luminescence upon interaction with amino acid enantiomers,enabling reliable chiral detection of 14 natural amino acids.It also allows for the determination of enantiomeric excess through monitoring changes in luminescent color.Additionally,a logic operation with two inputs and three outputs was constructed based on these optical properties.Notably,amino acid enantiomers were successfully detected via dual-channel analysis at both the food and cellular levels.This study provides a new dynamic luminescence-based tool for the accurate sensing and detection of amino acid enantiomers. 展开更多

Substrate and nutrient supply are essential for vegetable cultivation in greenhouse.The strategies for plant nutrient supply vary depending on the cultivation methods or substrate dosages employed.With the development of mechanization,wide-row spacing substrate cultivation became an optimize mode of the greenhouse cucumber cultivation,aligning with the trend of intelligent agriculture.To determine the optimal nutrient solution supply amount(NS)and supply frequency(SF)for promoting the integrated growth of cucumber under wide-row spacing substrate cultivation,we explored the effects of substrate supply amount(SS),NS,and SF on cucumber yield,quality,and element utilization efficiency.A five-level quadratic orthogonal rotation combination design with three experimental factors(NS,SF,and SS)was implemented for 23 coupling treatments over three growing seasons,including spring(2022S and 2023S)and autumn(2022A).The technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS)combining weights based on game theory was applied to construct cucumber comprehensive growth evaluation model.Single and two experimental factors analyses revealed significant effects of single factors and the coupling of NS-SS,NS-SF and SS-SF on the integrated growth of cucumber for all three growing seasons.For the NS-SF-SS combination,the optimal parameters for comprehensive cucumber growth were determined as follows:levels of^(-1).68 for NS,-0.7 for SF,and^(-1).682 for SS in 2022A;-0.43 for NS,-0.06 for SF,and 0.34 for SS in 2022S;0.3 for NS,-0.02 for SF,and 0.04 for SS in 2023S.Furthermore,for SS ranges of 2.00-3.01,3.01-4.50,4.50-5.99,5.99-7.00(L·plant^(-1)),the corresponding NS and SF intervals maximizing cucumber integrated growth in spring were:0.28-0.30(L·plant^(-1))and 6(times·d^(-1)),0.26-0.30(L·plant^(-1))and 6(times·d^(-1)),0.25-0.30(L·plant^(-1))and 6(times·d^(-1)),0.23-0.30(L·plant^(-1))and 6(times·d^(-1)),respectively.With the same SS,the corresponding NS and SF intervals that maximized cucumber integrated growth in autumn were:0.10(L·plant^(-1))and 8(times·d^(-1)),0.18(L·plant^(-1))and 7(times·d^(-1)),0.30(L·plant^(-1))and 6(times·d^(-1)),0.49(L·plant^(-1))and 5(times·d^(-1)),respectively.The results provide a theoretical basis for solution management,and further in-depth research on cucumber cultivation. 展开更多

Strong seismic excitation and fault dislocation are likely to occur simultaneously in high-intensity seismic zones,causing severe damage to tunnels crossing active fault zones.This paper aims to develop a novel analytical solution to determine the longitudinal mechanical responses of tunnels subjected to the combined effects of seismic waves and strike-slip faulting.Adopting the elastic springbeam model,the seismic waves are modelled as shear horizontal(SH)waves and the fault dislocation follows an S-shaped pattern;the superposition principle for free-fielddisplacements caused by both effects is assumed.In addition,the transmission and reflectionof seismic waves at the fault-rock geological interface and the tangential contact conditions at the tunnel-rock interface are considered.The analytical model is validated against numerical simulations,confirmingits accuracy in calculating tunnel responses.Moreover,a parametric study is conducted to evaluate the impact of key factors,including fault displacement,fault zone width,fault dip angle,earthquake frequency,rock conditions,tunnel lining stiffness,and tangential contact conditions,on tunnel responses.Compared with each effect alone,the combined effects of seismic waves and strike-slip faulting significantlychange the tunnel deformation and internal forces,leading to increased tunnel responses,especially within the fault zone and near the fault-rock interfaces.Depending on specificparameters,tunnel responses can be classifiedinto seismic-dominated,faulting-dominated,and seismic-faulting coupled responses on the basis of the relative contributions of each effect.The proposed analytical solution can be applied to quickly predict the longitudinal mechanical behaviour of tunnels under such combined effects in engineering applications. 展开更多

This study reported the synthesis of magnetic solid solutions V2(A_(x)B_(y)Sn_(1-x-y))C(where A and B are Mn,Fe,or Co)MAX phases.These materials were prepared by incorporating magnetic elements into the V_(2)SnC MAX phase via pressure-less sintering at 1000℃for 3 hours.XRD analysis reveals that the composition with x=y=0.2 exhibits a shift of diffraction peaks to higher angles,indicating lattice parameter changes,and achieves the highest phase purity with the maximum solid solution limit,further increases in the dopant content led to the formation of impurities.While the solid solution of magnetic elements preserves the characteristic layered structure of the MAX phase,it successfully induces magnetic properties.The magnetic transition temperatures for these solid solutions ranges from 61 to 200 K.Specifically,V_(2)(Mn_(x)Co_(y)Sn_(1-x-y))C demonstrated hard magnetic characteristics,with a high saturation magnetization(6.536 emu/g)and large remanence(4.236 emu/g).In contrast,V_(2)(Mn_(x)Fe_(y)Sn_(1-x-y))C and V2(Fe_(x)Co_(y)Sn_(1-x-y))C exhibits soft magnetic behavior,evidenced by their narrow hysteresis loops and low coercivity.Their saturation magnetization values are 3.80 and 1.784 emu/g,respectively.The distinctly"S"-shaped hysteresis loop of V_(2)(Fe_(x)Co_(y)Sn_(1-x-y))C further confirms its soft magnetic nature. 展开更多

Doping in thin-film transistors(TFTs) plays a crucial role in tailoring material properties to enhance device performance, making them essential for advanced electronic applications. This study explores the synthesis and characterization of TFTs fabricated using nickel(Ni)-doped indium oxide(In_(2)O_(3)) via a wet-chemical approach. The presented work investigates the effect of "Ni" incorporation in In_(2)O_(3) on the structural and electrical transport properties of In_(2)O_(3), revealing that higher "Ni" content decreases the oxygen vacancies, leading to a reduction in leakage current and a forward shift in threshold potential(V_(th)).Experimental findings reveal that Ni In O-based TFTs(with Ni = 0.5%) showcase enhanced electrical performance, achieving mobility of 7.54 cm^(2)/(V·s), an impressive ON/OFF current ratio of ~10^(7), a V_(th) of 6.26 V, reduced interfacial trap states(D_(it)) of 8.23 ×10^(12) cm^(-2) and enhanced biased stress stability. The efficacy of "Ni" incorporation is attributed to the upgraded Lewis acidity, stable Ni-O bond strength, and small ionic radius of Ni. Negative bias illumination stability(NBIS) measurements further indicate that device stability diminishes with shorter light wavelengths, likely due to the activation of oxygen vacancies. These findings validate the solution-processed techniques' potential for future large-scale, low-cost, energy-efficient, and high-performance electronics. 展开更多

Sandwich functionally graded(FG)auxetic beams are extensively utilized in aerospace,automotive,and biomedical industries due to their excellent strength-toweight ratio,impact resistance,and tunable mechanical properties.The integration of FG materials with auxetic structures enhances their adaptability in advanced engineering applications.However,understanding their dynamic behavior under external excitations is essential for optimal design and structural reliability.Nonlinear interactions in such structures pose significant challenges in vibration analysis,necessitating robust analytical methods.This study presents a closed-form solution for the nonlinear forced vibration analysis of sandwich FG auxetic beams,offering an accurate and efficient method for predicting their dynamic response.The beam consists of two FG face sheets with material properties varying through the thickness and a re-entrant honeycomb auxetic core with an adjustable Poisson's ratio.The governing nonlinear equations of motion are derived using the first-order shear deformation theory(FSDT),the modified Gibson model,and the von Kármán relations,formulated through Hamilton's principle.A closed-form solution is obtained via the Galerkin method and multiple-scale technique.The results demonstrate that FG layers enable control of the overweight and dynamic response amplitude,with positive power law indexes reducing weight.Comparisons with finite element results confirm the accuracy of the proposed formulation. 展开更多
