Both titanium and germanium were introduced into silicon dioxide system by sol-gel method to move its region of anomalous dispersion caused by IR resonance absorption towards the wavelength of CO 2 laser.It is indica...Both titanium and germanium were introduced into silicon dioxide system by sol-gel method to move its region of anomalous dispersion caused by IR resonance absorption towards the wavelength of CO 2 laser.It is indicated by IR absorption spectra that as the content of SiO 2 decreases in this glass system TiO 2 and GeO 2 tends to exist in their own phases.As for the gel glass with a composition of 40SiO 2·30TiO 2·30GeO 2,when the temperature is below 600℃,germanium atoms exist mainly in Ge-O-Ge bonds.With the temperature increasing from 800℃ to 1000℃, titanium atoms in Si-O-Ti bonds almost transform into Ti-O-Ti bonds.Furthermore,a large number of Si-O-Ti and Si-O-Ge bonds formed when the temperature approaches 800℃,which makes a notable IR absorption band round the wavelength of CO 2 laser.Therefore, sol-gel based SiO 2-TiO 2-GeO 2 gel glass is a candidate material for CO 2 laser hollow waveguide.展开更多
BaZnzCo2-zFe16O27/SiO2 microcrystalline glass ceramics with Z=0.0, 0.5, 0.8 and 1.1 were prepared at temperature 1200℃ for 5h by citrate sol-gel process. The complex dielectric constant and complex permeability of Ba...BaZnzCo2-zFe16O27/SiO2 microcrystalline glass ceramics with Z=0.0, 0.5, 0.8 and 1.1 were prepared at temperature 1200℃ for 5h by citrate sol-gel process. The complex dielectric constant and complex permeability of BaZnzCo2-zFe16 O27/SiO2-paraffin wax composites had been measured. Both the complex dielectric constant and dielectric loss exhibit almost no variation with frequency in 0.1-6.0GHz. The real part of permeability decreases with increasing frequency for all samples, and the imaginary part of permeability exhibits a clear resonance peak at 1.44GHz for Co2 W/SiO2, 1.32GHz for Zn0.5Co1.5 W/SiO2, 1.20GHz for Zn0.8Co1.2W/SiO2, and 1.08GHz for Zn1.1 Co0.9 W/SiO2. It is also showed that the content of zinc has a close effect on the magnetic properties of BaZnzCo2-zFe16O27/SiO2 microcrystalline glass ceramics, the greater the zinc content, the higher the values of imaginary part of permeability and magnetic loss.展开更多

The Ge/SiO2 samples show a special ph...SiO2 glassy materials with Ge crystals embedded were formed by heating GeO2/SiO2 glass at 700 in the presence of hydrogen. GeO2/SiO2 glass was prepared with the sol-gel technique. The Ge/SiO2 samples show a special photoluminescence property and exhibit strong luminescence at 392 nm(3.12 eV), secondary strong luminescence at 600 nm(2.05 eV) and weak luminescence at 770 nm(1.60 eV) when excited under 246 nm(5.01 eV) ultra-violet light at room temperature. The structure of this new luminescence material was studied with XRD, XPS, and TEM. The results show that the presence of nanometer sized(around 10 nm) Ge and GeO crystals in the SiO2 may cause the three-band photoluminescence. The GeO2/SiO2 glass without going through the reducing process only has GeO2 in the SiO2 glass, and does not show the photo-(luminescence).展开更多
