The paper discusses several wide-spread misunderstandings of Kuhn's theory of scientific development, most prominently the ascription that he conceives of scientific development as irrational. The core of this ascription is an assessment of incommensurability as implying the lack of any rational possibility of theory comparison. This is supposed to be due to Gestalt switches and a quasi-religious element of conversion in theory change. Accordingly, scientific revolutions cannot be a serious matter for philosophical analysis; they furthermore foreclose any scientific progress. It is shown that such images of Kuhn's theory rest on deep misunderstandings that are partly due to Kuhn's writing style. 展开更多

Resarch topic of paper is lienar and simplex analysis in human resource management field. Research questions are quantitative models may increase effeciency of HR professionals, and mission of HRM field is to develop positive organizational psychology in employees. Organizational psychology is important research field in British academy. Further, simplex methodolohy is presented by G. B. Dantzig after World War II in order to solve linear programming. First of all, goal function is established in simplex, which is to maximize firm performance in this paper. Secondly, limits of problem are determined. Main limits in applying HRM in organizations might be HR professionals and top management. For example, SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) of USA organizes programs for increading competency of HR professionals. Further, top management may impede on effectively applying HRM in organizations. Therefore, both of them may establish limits of simplex function. Research methods of study cover in-depth literature review in HRM field, and study has qualitative research dimension. Data analysis reveals that HRM may consist of three figures: they are individual performance, talent management, and organizational psychology. To conclude, HRM is appled in organizations to develop individual performance, talent management, and organizational psychology. 展开更多

An important epistemological problem has been faced by Exercise Physiologists.On one hand,one theory explains the fatigue through a ceiling effect of oxygen uptake.On the other hand,the new theory proposes that an encephalon mechanism would stop the effort before a catastrophic homeostasis failure.Many physiologists have looked for evidence to support their favourite theory even though the induction logic problem does not allow to prove whether truth is discovered;however,it is possible to prove that it does not occur.When some researchers fail to test their hypotheses,they use relativism to bring up their theories again.Noakes and his colleagues have based their theory on relativism,because it is impossible to refute by empirical observation.It also doesn't explain all phenomena that the oldest Hill's theory is able to explain.Noakes's theory isn't more accurate in its previsions.Noakes did not check whether the oxygen uptake plateau occurs in suitable tests to measure on the mouth what happens in the muscles.Finally,it doesn't propose new tests for the encephalon role during maximal effort,as that is expected in scientific work.For all of these reasons,it is possible to conclude there are no advantages in switching to the“Central Governor”theory. 展开更多

In response to the Scientific Revolution of the 17th century, Immanuel Kant put forward a transcendental philosophy which distinguished between the appearance and the thing-initself(das Ding an sich), in the belief that people can only know appearances, but not thingsin-themselves. The fact that contemporary philosophy has gone far beyond transcendental philosophy can be seen clearly in the following respects: the response to the Scientific Revolution;the dualistic theory of qualities;the two concepts of the thing-in-itself;and how to know the thing-in-itself. In order to deepen the discussion of the thing-in-itself, it is necessary to introduce probing new questions and attempt to elucidate a switching theory of reality that distinguishes between the meaning-impoverished thing-in-itself and the meaningrich thing-in-itself, and advocates placing the focus of philosophical thinking on the latter.Basing ourselves on the switching theory of reality and the total perspective concept that it implies allows us to better understand man's place in the universe and the mission of philosophy in the post-metaphysical era. 展开更多
