However, the interaction between the evolution of shoals and vegetation dynamic has rarely been reported. In this study, we determined the interaction between the shoal and vegetation evolution of Jiuduansha in the Changjiang River Estuary in the last 30 years. We did this through the collection and summarization of the existing data of the regional hydrological processes, wading engineering, and vegetation, and combined it with the analysis of nautical charts and remote sensing images. During the past 30 years, the expansion of the shoals within the 0 m isobath in Jiuduansha was obvious, with an increase of 176.5%, while the expansion of the shoals within the 5 m isobath was relatively slow. The regional hydrological characteristics in the Jiuduansha area changed dramatically, especially the sediment discharges. The area of vegetation in Jiuduansha increased from 9.1 km^2 in 1990 to 65.68 km^2 in 2015, while the variations in the different vegetation types were different. The best combination of environmental factors with a significant correlation on the shoals within the 0 m isobath is the area of Spartina alterniflora and Phragmites australis. The evolution of Jiuduansha shoals was significantly affected by the variations in hydrological characteristics. Meanwhile, on a long-term scale, the expansion of the shoals could promote the regional vegetation expansions due to the suitable elevation and environmental conditions it provides. The interaction between the shoal and vegetation evolution varied in the different vegetation types and different elevations. In the future, long-term monitoring and detailed data are needed to the systematical analysis of the interaction between the hydrological processes and the evolution of the shoal and vegetation.展开更多

The characteristics of the high-energy shoals are sparry cementation, with moderate to well sorting, large grain size, high ooid content and low micrite, weak micritization, and well-preserved internal textures of the ooids. Macroscopically, the high-energy ooid shoals display a thick-bedded aggradational stacking pattern in upward coarsening and thickening sequences. The low-energy ooid shoals are mainly made up of micritic cementation, with moderate to poor sorting, relatively small grain size, lower ooid content and higher micrite, strong micritization, and poorly-preserved internal textures of the ooids. Macroscopically, the low-energy ooid shoals show a thin-bedded, interbedded stacking pattern in upward fining and thinning sequences. The sedimentological evidence and carbon isotope data show that the differences of internal fabric and sedimentary evolution of both high-and low-energy ooid shoals are closely related to the sea-level change.展开更多

In this paper, we combined digital outcrop geology and traditional geological mapping to build an outcrop-based geocellular model of the ramp-crest shoal complex of the Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation in the Eastern Sichuan Basin. The outcrop model serves as an analogue for the subsurface reservoir of the Feixianguan Formation and illustrates the complexity of the lithofacies types, stratigraphic architecture, and reservoir heterogeneities at a scale below conventional subsurface data resolution. The studied ramp -crest shoal complex consists of thirteen types of lithofacies that can be grouped into three facies-groups corresponding to subtidal intraclastic shoal, sub- to inter-tidal oolitic shoal, and tidal flat depositional environments respectively. The stratigraphic architecture of the shoal complex shows mostly a strong progradation of the high energy facies associated with an overall decrease of accommodation space associated with relative sea level still stand. Two reservoir facies associations have been recognized. The first one consists of supratidai dolomudstone and upper intertidal partially dolomitized oolitic packstone with anhydrite or nodules. These facies were deposited above the high energy oolitic grainstones and occurs as thin-bedded and laterally continuous layers, characterized by high porosity and low permeability. The second reservoir facies association is composed of intertidal crystalline dolomite and subtidal intraclastic bindstone that occurs stratigraphically below the oolitic grainstones. These deposits consist of massive laterally discontinuously beds, and are characterized by high porosity and high permeability. Both types of reservoir facies tend to be stacked vertically and migrated laterally with the progradation of the shoal complex. The construction of the outcrop-based 3D geological model provide a description and quantification of the facies distribution within a robust stratigraphic framework and the style and amount of reservoir heterogeneities associated with a ramp-crest shoal complex reservoir such as the one found in Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation and Cambrian Longwangmiao Formation in Sichuan Basin or other ramp-crest reservoir worldwide.展开更多

Using a detailed field geologic survey, profiles illustration of typical depositional system, and systematic testing, five types of diagenesis have been identified in the oolitic shoals: micritization, cementation, compaction and pressolution, dissolution, and dolomitisation. The cementation is composed of four subtypes (micrite cements, fibrous calcite cements, granular calcite cements, and blocky calcite cements). The dissolution is formed from three subtypes (freshwater selective dissolution, burial non-selective dissolution, and burial selective dissolution). The dolomitisation is composed of three subtypes (fine-crystalline dolomites, microcrystalline dolomites, and medium-crystalline dolomites). In order to quantitatively describe the diagenetic fabric of oolitic shoals, the micritic grain content, calcite cement content, mean pore diameter, pore types, dolomite content, and dolomite types have been evaluated. Based on these data, the relationship between the acoustic velocity and diagenesis of oolitic shoals hasbeen established. The results show that the diagenetic fabric is linearly related with the acoustic velocity, and the general trend observed is as expected a decrease of velocity as the micritic grain content, mean pore diameter and dolomite content increase, or the sparite cement content decreases. This study will demonstrate that the transformation of diagenetic facies will probably make the petrophysicai properties ofEffects of Diagenesis on the Acoustic Velocity of the Triassic Oolitic Shoals in the Yudongzi Outcropthe oolitic shoals regularly changed. The reflection configuration of diagenetic facies in the oolitic shoals can be shown in the synthetic seismic model simulated according to the P-wave impedance and S-wave impedance.展开更多

The reservoir is widely believ...The Lower Triassic Feixianguan (飞仙关) Formation oolitic shoal reservoir in the Sichuan (四川) basin (Southwest China) is currently an exploration and research highlight in China. The reservoir is widely believed to be formed mainly by burial dissolution and/or dolomitization on the basis of primary intergranular pores. In this study, through a comprehensive geological study on the whole basin, the dissolution and dolomitization are suggested not to be the fundamental factor of reservoir formation and there thus may be a possible new fundamental mechanism-the preservation of primary intergranular pores, i.e., the retention diagenesis. Based on this, a complex and multi-stage reservoir evolution and formation model is proposed. In the model, the depositional environment is the basis of reservoir initial formation. Subsequently, early compaction and shallow burial cementation result in the primary reservoir differentiation. Then, multi-stage burial dissolution alters and adjusts the reservoir. Because the last stage gaseous hydrocarbons have little diagenetic impact, the reservoir is formed finally. Therefore, this study presents a possible new fundamental mechanism and evolution model for the reservoir formation. The results can be applied in the regional reservoir predication and shaping exploration strategies, and provide reference for the study of shoal reservoirs in other areas.展开更多

The construction of the outcrop-based 3D geological model provide a description and quantification of the facies distribution within a robust stratigraphic framework and the style and amount of reservoir heterogeneities associated with a ramp-crest shoal complex reservoir such as the one found in Lower Triassic Feixianguan Formation and Cambrian Longwangmiao Formation in Sichuan Basin or other ramp-crest reservoir worldwide.

文摘The oolitic shoals of the Triassic carbonate platform margin in the Yudongzi (鱼洞子) outcrop of Erlangmiao (二郎庙) area in the northwestern Sichuan (四川) basin present a scarce opportunity to quantitatively describe their diagenesis and its effects on the acoustic velocity. The reflection configuration of diagenetic facies in the oolitic shoals can be shown in the synthetic seismic model simulated according to the P-wave impedance and S-wave impedance.
文摘Community structures on benthic organisms in the Taiwan Strait based on 4 surveys during 1984~1985 are studied. Seven communities can be divided according to cluster analysis and community structure indexes. The distribution, structural feature of different communities, relation between environmental factors and community are also discussed. The benthic organism community takes the Asymmetron cultellum as the resourcetive at the vast and deep east area in the south of the Taiwan Strait. The results provide new data for resource exploitation and biology study.
文摘Controlled by the base level change cycle, the carbonates exposed from the periodically shallowed water body at the top of the high-frequency sequence develops multiple sets of thin reservoirs.Such reservoir identification has always been tricky in the prediction of carbonate reservoirs.Based on the Middle Permian strata from the Sichuan Basin, this paper established a forecasting approach of high-frequency-sequence-controlled carbonate thin reservoir. The steps are as follows:(1)Combine the measured results of samples from the typical outcrops with changes of carbon and oxygen isotopes, thus to construct a division program for the 3rd-order sequence of the Middle Permian strata.(2)Compare the carbon and oxygen isotope changes and the global sea level change trend, determine the controlling factors of the 3rd-order sequences.(3)Carry out spectrum analysis based on the natural gamma energy spectrum logging(ln(Th/K))curves of Wells Long-17 and Anping-1 to establish a high-frequency sequence framework division program, and then apply the logging curve characteristics to correct the top interface positions of the high-frequency sequences, which is the potential location of carbonate reservoir. The research results suggest that the Middle Permian in the Sichuan Basin can be divided into three 3rd-order sequences, which are PSQ1,PSQ2 and PSQ3 from bottom to top.Among which,PSQ1 is mainly affected by global sea level(GSL)changes, and the changes originated from its tuning curve can be directly applied to the division of high-frequency sequences and reservoir prediction.PSQ2 and PSQ3 are jointly controlled by global sea level changes and regional tectonics. In cope with the influence of regional tectonics, the positions of the four-level sequence interface established according to the tuning curve need to be fully considered, and good results were achieved through systematical correction. This method can effectively reduce the risk of reservoir prediction caused by marine carbonate heterogeneity, and provide scientific foundation for the prediction of high-frequency cyclic reservoirs of platform facies and platform margin subfacies in other marine carbonate sedimentary basins.

文摘This paper discusses the characteristics and formation mechanism of thin dolomite reservoirs in the lower submember of the second member of the Permian Maokou Formation(lower Mao 2 Member)in the Wusheng-Tongnan area of the Sichuan Basin,SW China, through comprehensive analysis of geological, geophysical and geochemical data. The reservoir rocks of the lower Mao 2 Member are dominated by porphyritic vuggy dolomite and calcareous dolomite or dolomitic limestone, which have typical karst characteristics of early diagenetic stage. The dolomites at the edge of the karst system and in the fillings have dissolved estuaries, and the dolomite breccia has micrite envelope and rim cement at the edge, indicating that dolomitization is earlier than the early diagenetic karstification. The shoal facies laminated dolomite is primarily formed by the seepage reflux dolomitization of moderate-salinity seawater. The key factors of reservoir formation are the bioclastic shoal deposition superimposed with seepgae reflux dolomitization and the karstification of early diagenetic stage, which are locally reformed by fractures and hydrothermal processes. The development of dolomite vuggy reservoir is closely related to the upward-shallowing sequence, and mainly occurs in the late highstand of the fourth-order cycle. Moreover, the size of dolomite is closely related to formation thickness, and it is concentrated in the formation thickness conversion area, followed by the thinner area.According to the understanding of insufficient accommodation space in the geomorphic highland and the migration of granular shoal to geomorphic lowland in the late highstand of the third-order cycle,it is proposed that the large-scale shoal-controlled dolomite reservoirs are distributed along structural highs and slopes, and the reservoir-forming model with shoal, dolomitization and karstification jointly controlled by the microgeomorphy and sea-level fluctuation in the sedimentary period is established. On this basis, the paleogeomorphology in the lower Mao 2 Member is restored using well-seismic data, and the reservoir distribution is predicted. The prediction results have been verified by the latest results of exploration wells and tests, which provide an important reference for the prediction of thin dolomite reservoirs under similar geological setting.

文摘The high-frequency cycles seen in the carbonates of the Cambrian Xiannüdong Formation in the Sichuan Basin commonly exhibit a certain coupling relationship with the development of grain shoals;this influences the accuracy of reservoir predictions and the selection of favorable zones for hydrocarbon.MATLAB-based wavelet transform technology is employed to analyze the characteristics of the high-frequency sequences in the Xiannüdong Formation, establish a sequence stratigraphic framework, and clarify their vertical and horizontal relationships with the development of grain shoals. The results indicate that using the Dmey wavelet for continuous wavelet transform of gamma ray(GR)curves effectively reflects regional sedimentary cycles. In the Xiannüdong Formation,we identified two third-order sequences, five fourth-order sequences, and ten fifth-order sequences, all of which exhibit a strong correlation with the one-dimensional wavelet curves derived from wavelet transformations. In the sequence stratigraphic framework, early deposition of the Xiannüdong Formation briefly inherited transgressive processes from the Qiongzhusi Formation, and subsequently underwent a long and frequently fluctuating regressive phase. This study elucidates the development characteristics of grain shoals during marine regressions, and identifies lithology primarily as oolitic limestone, oolitic dolostone, doloarenite, silty oolitic limestone, and silty oolitic dolostone.Longitudinally, grain shoals are primarily distributed in the SQ1^(2),SQ2^(1),and SQ2^(2)intervals,and are characterized by the interbedded development of thin and thick layers. They form predominantly during the regressive phase of fourth-order sequences.Planarly, they exhibit a belt-like distribution in the southwest-northeast direction. These findings provide novel insights for conducting high-frequency sequence stratigraphy studies utilizing logging data. They also possess practical implications for constructing high-precision sequence stratigraphic frameworks as well as for predicting the distribution of grain shoals within the study area.

文摘Wave shoaling, which involves an increase in wave amplitude due to changes in water depth, can damage shore-lines.To mitigate this damage,we propose using porous structures such as mangrove forests. In this study,we use a mathematical model to examine how mangroves, acting as porous breakwater, can reduce wave shoaling amplitude. The shallow water equations are used as the governing equations and are modified to account for the presence of porous media. To measure the wave reduction generated by the porous media, the wave transmis-sion coefficient is estimated using analytical and numerical approaches. The separation of variables method and the staggered finite volume method are utilized for each approach, respectively. The numerical results are then validated against the previously obtained analytical solutions. We then vary the friction and porosity parame-ters-determined by the presence and extent of porous media,to evaluate their effectiveness in reducing wave shoaling.

文摘Based on the study of the distribution of intra-platform shoals and the characteristics of dolomite reservoirs in the Middle Permian Qixia Formation in the Gaoshiti–Moxi area of the Sichuan Basin,SW China, the controlling factors of reservoir development were analyzed, and the formation model of“intra-platform shoal thin-layer dolomite reservoir”was established. The Qixia Formation is a regressive cycle from bottom to top,in which the first member(Qi1 Member)develops low-energy open sea microfacies, and the second member(Qi2 Member)evolves into intra-platform shoal and inter-shoal sea with decreases in sea level. The intra-platform shoal is mainly distributed near the top of two secondary shallowing cycles of the Qi2 Member. The most important reservoir rock of the Qixia Formation is thin-layer fractured-vuggy dolomite, followed by vuggy dolomite. The semi-filled saddle dolomite is common in fracture-vug,and intercrystalline pores and residual dissolution pores combined with fractures to form the effective pore-fracture network.Based on the coupling analysis of sedimentary and diagenesis characteristics, the reservoir formation model of“pre-depositional micro-paleogeomorphology controlling shoal, sedimentary shoal controlling dolomite, penecontemporaneous dolomite benefiting preservation of pores, and late hydrothermal action effectively improving reservoir quality”was systematically established.The“first-order high zone”micro-paleogeomorphology before the deposition of the Qixia Formation controlled the development of large area of intra-platform shoals in Gaoshiti area during the deposition of the Qi2 Member.Shoal facies is the basic condition of early dolomitization, and the distribution range of intra-platform shoal and dolomite reservoir is highly consistent. The grain limestone of shoal facies is transformed by two stages of dolomitization. The penecontemporaneous dolomitization is conducive to the preservation of primary pores and secondary dissolved pores. The burial hydrothermal fluid enters the early dolomite body along the fractures associated with the Emeishan basalt event, makes it recrystallized into medium–coarse crystal dolomite. With the intercrystalline pores and the residual vugs after the hydrothermal dissolution along the fractures, the high-quality intra-platform shoal-type thin-layer dolomite reservoirs are formed. The establishment of this reservoir formation model can provide important theoretical support for the sustainable development of Permian gas reservoirs in the Sichuan Basin.

文摘Since 2007,the large-scale green tide caused by Ulva prolifera(U.prolifera)have occurred as a recurrent phenomenon in the southern Yellow Sea of China.Field surveys and satellite remote sensing showed that the small scattered patches of green tide algae were first observed along the Porphyra agriculture area of the Subei Shoal in late April. In this study,we attempted to identify the role of eutrophication in the origin of the green tide in the Subei Shoal and its adjacent area.Subei Shoal and its adjacent area are characterized by rich nutrients, especially NO_(3)^(-)-N,NH_(4)^(+)-N,PO_(4)^(3-)-P,and other bioavailable components(such as urea-N and amino acids). In the spring of 2017,the average concentrations of NO_(3)^(-)-N were 19.01±11.01μmolL^(-1),accounting for 86.68%of the dis-solved inorganic nitrogen(DIN).In addition, the average concentration of NH4^(+)-N was 2.51±1.60μmolL^(-1).PO_(4)^(3-)-P had an average concentration of 0.14±0.13μmolL-1.The average concentrations of urea-N and total hydrolyzed amino acids(THAA)were 1.73±1.36μmolL^(-1)and 1.33±0.80μmolL^(-1),respectively.Rich nutritive substances play a key role in the rapid production of U.prolifera and make the Jiangsu coastal water an incubator for green tide.

文摘Based on 2D and 3D seismic data and well logging data, this paper studies the distribution of well-seismic stratigraphic filling and shoal controlled reservoirs of Upper Cambrian Xixiangchi Formation in the south slope of Leshan-Longnüsi paleouplift in the Sichuan Basin,to reveal the genetic relationship between stratigraphic filling, paleogeomorphology and large-scale grain shoal.(1)The Xixiangchi Formation in the study area is overlapped and filled gradually to the Leshan-Longnüsi paleouplift, but gets thin sharply due to truncation only near the denudation pinch-out line of the paleouplift. Two overlap slope break belts and one erosion slope break belt are identified, and the Xixiangchi Formation is divided into 4 members from bottom to top.(2)The filling pattern of the overlapping at the base and erosion at the top indicates that the thickness of Xixiangchi Formation can reflect the pre-depositional paleogeomorphology, and reveals that the studied area has a monoclinal geomorphic feature of plunging to southeast and being controlled by multistage slope break belts.(3)The large-scale grain shoals and shoal controlled reservoirs are developed longitudinally in the third and fourth members of the Xixiangchi Formation, and laterally in the vicinity of the multistage overlap slope break belts.(4)Overlap slope break belts are closely related to northwest trending reverse faults. The western margin of the South China Plate converging with the Qiangtang-Himalaya massif in the middle-late Cambrian resulted in the rapid uplift of the northwestern margin of the Yangtze Plate and expanding toward southeast, leaving gradually plunging multistage slope breaks and large-scale northeast grain shoal reservoir belts.Considering oil and gas test results,it is predicted that the favorable exploration zone of the grain shoal controlled reservoirs covers an area of 3340 km^(2).

文摘Based on analysis of field survey, drilling and seismic data, the formation and evolution process of Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough in Sichuan Basin was reconstructed, and exploration areas were divided and evaluated. The results show that:(1) Dengying Formation in and around Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough varies widely in sedimentary characteristics. The Dengying Formation in the northern part of the erosion rift trough developed deep-water sediments, the Dengying Formation in the northern part of the basin varied gradually from basin to slope, platform margin, and restricted platform, and the Dengying Formation in the middle and southern parts of the trough developed carbonate platform facies.(2) Deyang-Anyue erosion rift trough is formed by extensional rift and karst erosion jointly, the north section of the erosion rift trough is mainly the product of tensile rift, while the middle and south sections are formed by erosion in multi-episodes of Tongwan period.(3) Based on the segmented origins of the erosion rift trough, Dengying Formation in and around it is divided into three exploration fields: lithologic mound and beach bodies at the northern platform margin of the basin, karst mound and beach bodies in the central platform, and karst residual mounds in the central southern trough of the basin, among them, the karst residual mounds in the central southern trough of the basin are a new frontier for natural gas exploration in the basin, and the lithologic mound and beach bodies at the northern platform margin are a new position for increasing the reserves of trillions of cubic meters of natural gas resources in the basin.

文摘The paleotectonic pattern, lithofacies paleogeographic features, sedimentary evolution and its controlling effects on hydrocarbon accumulation assemblages during the depositional period of the Sinian Dengying Formation in middle-upper Yangtze region were investigated based on outcrops, drilling, log and seismic data. The study shows that,(1)Affected by the breakup of the Rodinia supercontinent, the middle and upper Yangtze areas were in extensional tectonic environment during the depositional period of Dengying Formation. The carbonate platform was structurally differentiated.Intra-platform depressions controlled by syndepositional faults developed, forming a tectonic-paleogeographic pattern of"three platforms with two depressions".(2)During the depositional period of the first and second members of the Dengying Formation, rimmed platforms and intra-platform fault depressions developed in upper Yangtze area and isolated platform developed in middle Yangtze area, and there was the Xuanhan-Kaijiang ancient land block in eastern Sichuan. The depositional period of the third member of the Dengying Formation is the transformation period of tectonic-paleogeographic pattern, when a set of shallow water shelf sediment rich in mud was deposited due to transgression on the background of the eroded terrain formed in EpisodeⅠof Tongwan Movement. The sediment of the fourth member of the Dengying Formation inherited the paleogeographic pattern of the first and second members of the Dengying Formation in general, but the Deyang-Anyue intra-platform fault depression further expanded, and the middle Yangtze platform evolved into two separated platforms.(3)Tectonic-sedimentary differentiation and evolution of carbonate platform in the Sinian gave rise to two types of accumulation assemblages with wide distribution and great exploration potential, which are platform margin and intra-platform.

文摘The Lower Triassic Feixianguan (飞仙关) Formation oolitic shoal reservoir in the Sichuan (四川) basin (Southwest China) is currently an exploration and research highlight in China. The results can be applied in the regional reservoir predication and shaping exploration strategies, and provide reference for the study of shoal reservoirs in other areas.
