In particular, IL11([NSPTEA][OTF]) showed excellent catalytic activity for the Ritter reaction. In the presence of IL11, various nitriles and tertiary alcohols as well as secondary alcohols were converted smoothly to the corresponding amides in good to excellent yields. In addition, this cost-effective ionic liquid [NSPTEA][OTF] was easily separated from the reaction mixture by extraction with a small amount of water, and was recycled five times without any significant loss in activity.展开更多

In response to this demand, we thought that it would be an ef...Because imines could be used as convenient starting materials in various fields, the development of an easy synthetic method of imine was strongly desired. In response to this demand, we thought that it would be an effective synthesis method if an aldehyde and an amine could be reacted to give an imine in good yield under solvent- and catalyst-free conditions. In fact, we tried the reaction of benzaldehyde with various amines under solvent- and catalyst-free conditions followed by removal of water that was produced in the reaction system by a vacuum pump, and desired imines could be obtained in good yields. Observation of this reaction using a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer revealed that the reaction rate was extremely fast at the initial stage but slowed over time. However, the reaction of benzaldehyde with aniline differed greatly, and the reaction rate dramatically improved in 47 - 48 minutes after the start of the reaction. At this time, we found that the reaction system underwent a phase transition from the liquid phase to the solid phase.展开更多

Highly monodisperse carbon quantum dots(CQDs)were synthesized by a solvothermal method using L-ascorbic acid as carbon source and different simple alcohols(methanol,ethanol,ethylene glycol,and isopropanol)as reaction ...Highly monodisperse carbon quantum dots(CQDs)were synthesized by a solvothermal method using L-ascorbic acid as carbon source and different simple alcohols(methanol,ethanol,ethylene glycol,and isopropanol)as reaction solvents at 180℃for 4 hours.The performance of CQDs was characterized by transmission electron microscope(TEM),Fourier infrared spectrometer(FTIR),UV-visible spectrophotometer,and fluorescence spectrophotometer.The results show that the prepared CQDs are wavelength-dependent,and have good hydrophilicity and similar surface compositions.However,there are more carbon and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of CQDs prepared with ethanol(CQDs-ET),and the type and number of functional groups will directly affect the fluorescence emission of CQDs.Also,it is found that the luminescence mechanisms of CQDs prepared by this solvothermal method are mainly based on the defect state of the oxygen group surface.And alcohol solvents do not directly participate in the formation of carbon nuclei during the reaction process,but it will affect the number and type of surface groups.Therefore,the influence of surface groups on the CQDs performance is greater than that of carbon nuclei in this experiment.展开更多

Based on the analyses of crystals precipitated from the catalyst solution and UV-Vis spectra of the catalysts, the reaction mechanism and solvent dependence were studied. The highest yield of MVA can be obtained when dimethylformamide is used as solvent because of its strong coordination ability to Cu(I). The activation of C=C bond is presumed to be improved when the catalytic metal ion is coordinated by a solvent with less steric hindrance and electron-rich coordination atom. The results of the present study provide a possible way to accelerate the metal-catalyzed homogeneous reaction of alkyne substrates through careful selection of a solvent.展开更多

The synthesis reaction of trichlorogermyl crylic acid has been studied systematically by using quantum chemistry methods for the first time.Geometries of reactants,transition states,and products have been optimized,re...The synthesis reaction of trichlorogermyl crylic acid has been studied systematically by using quantum chemistry methods for the first time.Geometries of reactants,transition states,and products have been optimized,respectively at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level.Vibrational frequencies,IR intensities and relative energies for various stationary points have been determined.The reaction pathways are identified by intrinsic reaction coordinate(IRC)calculations.Theoretical analysis provided conclusive evidence that the process is completed through five pathways of addition reaction of double bond,and the transition states are found to be four- membered ring compounds.Solvent effects are taken into account with the PCM model at the same level.This preliminary study shows that the complex formation is favored by the use of polar solvent.展开更多
