It exists in cementite much more than in ferrite. RE makes the carbides spheroidal and fine, and the carbides distribute uniformly. RE also changes the morphology of pearlite. By means of the analysis of Auger energy spectrum, we find that RE, which is dissolved in cementite, changes the composition and structure of cementite. In the case of higher content of RE and carbon, RE carbide can be formed.展开更多
