By thoroughly analyzing parametric down-conversion(PDC), we put forward a model to directly describe the spatial-spectral distribution of these photon pairs, which is experimentally demonstrated by a 532-nm pumped type-I PDC in a beta barium borate(BBO) crystal. The measured spectral curves show good agreement with the theoretical predictions over the entire spectral range. We further demonstrate that, as signal wavelength increases, the photon pairs are initially spectrally distinguishable, then partly indistinguishable, finally completely indistinguishable with a maximum bandwidth of approximately 500 nm. Utilizing photon-number-resolving single-photon detectors(SPD), we observe the average photon number decreases significantly more slowly than the spectral intensity as the wavelength deviates from the peak, and the photon numbers follow a quasi-Poisson distribution well for wavelengths around the peak, but a thermal distribution better describes the statistics near the spectral boundaries. Finally,we use the signal photons as the trigger to generate heralded Fock states up to 10 photons in near-infrared range, which are suitable for quantum simulation and quantum key distribution in optical fiber networks.展开更多

Seventeen functional groups(B, D, E, F, G, J, Lo, MP, P, S1, T, W1, W2, X1, X2, Xph, Y) were identified based on 34 species. The dominant groups were: J/B/P/D in dry season, X1/J/Xph/G/T in normal season and J in flood season. Phytoplankton abundance ranged from 5.33×10~4 cells/L to 3.65×10~7 cells/L, with the highest value occurring in flood season and lowest in dry season. The vertical profi le of dominant groups showed little differentiation except for P, which dominated surface layers over 20 m as a result of mixing water masses and higher transparency during dry season. However, the surface waters presented higher values of phytoplankton abundance than other layers, possibly because of greater irradiance. The significant explaining variables and their ability to describe the spatial distribution of the phytoplankton community in RDA diff ered seasonally as follows: dry season, NH4-N, NO_3-N, NO_2-N, TN:TP ratio and transparency(SD); normal season, temperature(WT), water depth, TN, NH4-N and NO_3-N; flood season, WT, water depth, NO_3-N and NO_2-N. Furthermore, nitrogen, water temperature, SD and water depth were significant variables explaining the variance of phytoplankton communities when datasets included all samples. The results indicated that water physical conditions and hydrology were important in phytoplankton community dynamics, and nitrogen was more important than phosphorus in modifying phytoplankton communities. Seasonal differences in the relationship between the environment and phytoplankton community should be considered in water quality management.展开更多

First, the expressions of the displacements, stresses and internal forces of the sandwich plate are presented according to the constitutive relations and stress states of the core and face sheets. Then, the solutions of bending equilibrium equa- tions are derived by expanding the deflection w, transverse shearing forces Q~ and Qv with double trigonometric series that satisfy the simply supported boundary conditions. Finally, the proposed solution is validated by comparing the results with available elasticity solutions for a square sand- wich plate with an isotropie core and finite element simulations for one with functionally graded core. The Young's modulus of the functionally graded core is assumed to be graded by a power law distribution of volume fractions of the constituents, and the Poisson's ratio is held constant. And the effects of the core's top-bottom Young's modulus ratio A and volume fraction exponent no on the variation of the displacements of the functionally graded sandwich plate are also examined.展开更多

In the noisy channel, when signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is low, applying this mechanism in DCF greatly improves the throughput and lowers the channel idle time. This paper presents an analytical model for the performance study of IEEE 802.11 MB-DCF for nonsaturated heterogeneous traffic in the presence of transmission errors. First, we introduce the MB-DCF and compare its performance to IEEE 802.11 DCF with binary exponential backoff (BEB). The IEEE 802.11 DCF with BEB mechanism suffers from more channel idle time under low SNR. The MB-DCF ensures high throughput and low packet delay by reducing the channel idle time under the low traffic in the network. However, to the best of the authors' knowledge, there are no previous works that enhance the performance of the DCF under imperfect wireless channel. We show through analysis that the proposed mechanism greatly outperforms the original IEEE 802.11 DCF in the imperfect channel condition. The effectiveness of physical and link layer parameters on throughput performance is explored. We also present a throughput investigation of the heterogeneous traffic for different radio conditions.展开更多

By taking WVD, an improved adaptive time frequency distribution is developed, which is non negative, free of cross term interference, and of better time frequency resolution. The paper presents an effective numerical algorithm to estimate the optimal parameters of the basis. Seasonal differences in the relationship between the environment and phytoplankton community should be considered in water quality management.

文摘Based on the Reissner assumptions, this paper is concerned with the bending analy- sis of simply supported sandwich plates with functionally graded core and orthotropic face sheets subjected to transverse distributed loadings. And the effects of the core's top-bottom Young's modulus ratio A and volume fraction exponent no on the variation of the displacements of the functionally graded sandwich plate are also examined.
文摘In this paper, we propose a mechanism named modified backoff (MB) mechanism to decrease the channel idle time in IEEE 802.11 distributed coordination function (DCF). We also present a throughput investigation of the heterogeneous traffic for different radio conditions.
文摘We propose a method that uses linear chirp modulated Gaussian functions as the elementary functions, by adaptively adjusting variances, time frequency centers and sweep rates, to decompose signals. By taking WVD, an improved adaptive time frequency distribution is developed, which is non negative, free of cross term interference, and of better time frequency resolution. The paper presents an effective numerical algorithm to estimate the optimal parameters of the basis. Simulations indicate that the proposed approach is effective in analyzing signal's time frequency behavior.
