In applications such as image retrieval and recognition, precise edge detection for interested regions plays a decisive role. Existing methods generally take little care about local characteristics, or become time consuming if every detail is considered. In the paper, a new method is put forward based on the combination of effective image representation and multiscale wavelet analysis. A new object tree image representation is introduced. Then a series of object trees are constructed based on wavelet transform modulus maxima at different scales in descending order. Computation is only needed for interested regions. Implementation steps are also given with an illustrative example. 展开更多

Object-based Analysis for Extraction of Dominant Tree Species

It is very urgent for us to have the whole distribution,stock volume and other related information about that. So the forest inventory program is on our schedule. Aiming at dealing with the problem in extraction of dominant tree species,we tested the highly hot method-object-based analysis. Based on the ALOS image data,we combined multi-resolution in e Cognition software and fuzzy classification algorithm. Through analyzing the segmentation results,we basically extract the spruce,the pine,the birch and the oak of the study area. Both the spectral and spatial characteristics were derived from those objects,and with the help of GLCM,we got the differences of each species. We use confusion matrix to do the Classification accuracy assessment compared with the actual ground data and this method showed a comparatively good precision as 87% with the kappa coefficient 0. 837. 展开更多

结合空间对象关键字和位置信息的查询作为一项移动互联网的核心技术近年来引起了学术界和工业界的广泛关注.但是,之前的研究工作往往假设关键字是静态的、不变的;然而,由于和空间对象相关的关键字往往是具有其时效性的,因此静态性的假... 结合空间对象关键字和位置信息的查询作为一项移动互联网的核心技术近年来引起了学术界和工业界的广泛关注.但是,之前的研究工作往往假设关键字是静态的、不变的;然而,由于和空间对象相关的关键字往往是具有其时效性的,因此静态性的假设可能会导致结合空间对象关键字和位置信息的查询结果并不实际可用.针对这种情况,从动态关键字的定义切入;提出了一种结合了动态关键字和空间对象索引的动态关键字空间索引树(dynamic-keyword-R tree);模型化了一个可优化的查询———基于顺序动态关键字的最短路径查询(dynamic and sequential keyword constraints shortest path query,SPQ-DSK);基于DKR-Tree设计了两种策略:关键字优先策略(keyword first)和距离优先策略(distance first)处理SPQ-DSK并给出了相应的算法;最后通过大量的实验对比并分析了基于DKRTree的关键字优先策略和距离优先策略的性能.实验结果表明DKR-Tree能很好地对动态关键字查询提供支持,不论是有效性和高效性都填补了原有含有静态关键字假设的索引树的空白,为下一步研究提供了基础. 展开更多

R-Tree及其变种的多维索引结构在数据的操作过程中通过对空间的分隔和不断调整将整个空间划分为大小不等的子空间以容纳足够的空间对象,这种方法能有效地实现多维空间对象的索引,但不能避免频繁的节点分裂与重组操作所造成的计算开销,也不能避免对叶子节点中的候选对象进行空间匹配所带来的计算开销。提出了一种能有效解决上述问题的索引结构:SHG-Tree。基于SHG-Tree的索引方法将多维空间划分为不同粒度的格子单元并将这些格子单元通过SHG-Tree按空间包含关系组织为层次树结构,同一层的格子互不相交且空间范围固定。空间对象通过文中提出的线性化方法转换为一系列不同粒度的互不相交的空间格子,进而将对象在其覆盖的格子中注册以实现空间对象至SHG-Tree的映射。查询操作只需将查询条件映射为相应的格子并取出这些格子中的对象作为查询结果。这种索引结构能有效减少节点的分裂和组合带来的计算开销,也解决了传统R-Tree索引中对于叶子节点中的候选对象进行区域匹配的计算开销。基于SHG-Tree的索引结构支持包括相交查询、区域查询、包含查询、top-N查询、k-NN查询等常用的多维查询,实验表明SHG-Tree能在毫秒级实现各种空间查询。 展开更多

Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is a very useful feature for differentiating vegetation and non-vegetation in remote sensed imagery. In the light of the function of NDVI and the spatial patterns of the vegetation landscapes, we proposed the lacunarity texture derived from NDVI to characterize the spatial patterns of vegetation landscapes concerning the "gappiness" or "emptiness" characteristics. The NDVI-based lacunarity texture was incorporated into object-oriented classification for improving the identification of vegetation categories, especially Torreya which was the targeted tree species in the present research. A three-level hierarchical network of image objects was defined and the proposed texture was integrated as potential sources of information in the rules base. A knowledge base of rules created by classifier C5.0 indicated that the texture could potentially be applied in object-oriented classification. It was found that the addition of such texture improved the identification of every vegetation category. The results demonstrated that the texture could characterize the spatial patterns of vegetation structures, which could be a promising approach for vegetation identification. 展开更多

Small storage space for photographs in formal documents is increasingly necessary in today's needs for huge amounts of data communication and storage. Traditional compression algorithms do not sufficiently utilize the distinctness of formal photographs. That is, the object is an image of the human head, and the background is in unicolor. Therefore, the compression is of low efficiency and the image after compression is still space-consuming. This paper presents an image compression algorithm based on object segmentation for practical high-efficiency applications. To achieve high coding efficiency, shape-adaptive discrete wavelet transforms are used to transformation arbitrarily shaped objects. The areas of the human head and its background are compressed separately to reduce the coding redundancy of the background. Two methods, lossless image contour coding based on differential chain, and modified set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) algorithm of arbitrary shape, are discussed in detail. The results of experiments show that when bit per pixel (bpp)is equal to 0.078, peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of reconstructed photograph will exceed the standard of SPIHT by nearly 4dB. 展开更多

The object is assumed to be... In this paper we have proposed an object tracking method using Dual Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DTCxWT). The proposed method is capable of tracking the moving object in video sequences. The object is assumed to be deform-able under limit i.e. it may change its shape from one frame to another. The basic idea in the proposed method is to decompose the image into two components: a two dimensional motion and a two dimensional shape change. The motion component is factored out while the shape is explicitly represented by storing a sequence of two dimensional models. Each model corresponds to each image frame. The proposed method performs well when the change in the shape in the consecutive frames is small however the 2-D motion in consecutive frames may be large. The proposed algorithm is capable of handling the partial as well as full occlusion of the object. 展开更多

Influence of Subjective Knowledge, Objective Knowledge and Health Consciousness on Olive Oil Consumption—A Case Study

Unlike the case in Mediterranean countries, where olive oil consumption is driven by habit or tradition, in a population where olive oil consumption rates are considerably low, it appears reasonable to suppose that the initial decision to buy a fairly expensive product—as is the case with olive oil in the Uruguayan market—may result from an individual’s overall interest in health-related issues and/or their acquaintance with relevant nutritional properties of the particular product—in this case, olive oil. Consumer subjective and objective knowledge, interest in health-related issues, and demographic variables were studied for their potential relationship (explanatory capacity) with olive oil consumption frequency, using a sample of 256 inhabitants of Montevideo (Uruguay). Several of the studied variables were found to relate to olive oil consumption, such as subjective and objective knowledge, age, education level, marital status, and interest in health-related issues. Subjective knowledge was found to have the highest explanatory capacity. An increase in subjective knowledge is therefore expected to lead to an increase in consumption frequency among regular olive oil consumers, while it may also encourage less frequent or non-consumers to purchase olive oil and become acquainted with the product. 展开更多

A novel computational model in visually-feature space is presented for scene & object representation to purse the underlying textural manifold statistically in nonparametric manner. The associative method approximately makes perceptual hierarchy in human-vision biologically coherency in specific quad-tree-pyramid structure, and the appropriate scale-value of different objects can automatically be selected by evaluating from well-defined scale function without any priori knowledge. The sufficient experiments truly demonstrate the effectiveness of scale determination in textural manifold with object localization rapidly. 展开更多

为满足冰壶智能训练的需求,结合计算机视觉与深度强化学习(RL)技术,提出一种新的现场冰壶决策方法AI-Curling。AI-Curling包含冰壶检测(SR-Yolo)以及策略生成(GSP-MCTS)2个部分。SR-Yolo模块负责感知关键时刻冰壶状态,提取实景冰壶的位... 为满足冰壶智能训练的需求,结合计算机视觉与深度强化学习(RL)技术,提出一种新的现场冰壶决策方法AI-Curling。AI-Curling包含冰壶检测(SR-Yolo)以及策略生成(GSP-MCTS)2个部分。SR-Yolo模块负责感知关键时刻冰壶状态,提取实景冰壶的位置与种类信息。为提高大场景下的小目标检测精度,防止不恰当下采样造成的特征损失,引入浅层细化骨干网络(SRNet),通过在网络初级阶段增加层级,捕获更丰富的特征信息。此外,在多尺度融合网络中,引入自适应特征优化融合(AFOF)模块,以增加各层网络有效样本,避免小尺度目标淹没在复杂背景和噪声中。GSP-MCTS模块通过蒙特卡洛树搜索(MCTS)算法结合策略价值网络的方式,实现冰壶比赛决策分析。该模块通过引入核函数处理动作空间连续性和执行不确定性,并在策略价值网络中嵌入全局策略感知模块(GSP),增强了网络空间感知能力。在实验中,SR-Yolo在常规冰壶数据集Curling上平均精度均值(mAP@0.5)为0.974,在遮挡较多的复杂冰壶数据集Curling_hard上mAP@0.5为0.723。同时,GSP-MCTS与最新实景冰壶模型Curling MCTS对战获得62%的胜率。实验结果表明,GSP-MCTS具有更好的性能。 展开更多

农田防护林(农防林)作为农田生态系统的直接生态屏障,林带宽度直接影响农防林防护功能的发挥和后续经营。随着农防林建设不断深入,区域尺度快速准确识别林带宽度具有重要意义。本研究以黑龙江省黑土地核心区———拜泉县的富强镇、大众... 农田防护林(农防林)作为农田生态系统的直接生态屏障,林带宽度直接影响农防林防护功能的发挥和后续经营。随着农防林建设不断深入,区域尺度快速准确识别林带宽度具有重要意义。本研究以黑龙江省黑土地核心区———拜泉县的富强镇、大众乡、兴农镇为研究区,选取高分六号(GF⁃6)影像,创建面向对象⁃缓冲区分割技术获取农防林斑块信息,并实现单条林带自动提取及其宽度计算。结果表明:(1)农防林对GF⁃6影像中的蓝波段、近红外波段和归一化植被指数比较敏感,利用以上特征能够将农防林和非农防林区分开;(2)基于面向对象⁃缓冲区分割技术,实现林带自动分割及其宽度计算,经地面调查验证,准确度较高(R^(2)为0.73);(3)农防林宽度布局在拜泉县的富强镇、大众乡和兴农镇基本一致,主要集中于17~24 m,且这一宽度范围的农防林分别占各乡镇农防林总面积的32.64%、33.24%、30.29%。本研究创建的面向对象⁃缓冲区分割技术为后续农防林构建与经营提供了方法支撑。 展开更多
