Secondly, the research on the interface between LINGO and the popular office software was made. The optimization software was developed, which had Excel as the workspace and LINGO as the core of computation. Baoying pumping station is a part of source pumping stations in East Route Project of South-to-North Water Transfer in China. Aiming at the characteristics of head varying, and making use of the function of pump adjustable blade, mathematical models of pumping station optimal operation are established and solved with genetic algorithm. For different total pumping discharge and total pumping volume of water per day, in order to minimize pumping station operation cost, the number and operation duties of running pump units are respectively determined at different periods of time in a day. The results indicate that the saving of electrical cost is significantly effected by the schemes of adjusting blade angles and time-varying electrical price when pumping certain water volume of water per day, and compared with conventional operation schemes (namely, the schemes of pumping station operation at design blade angles based on certain pumping discharge), the electrical cost is saved by 4.73%-31.27%. Also, compared with the electrical cost of conventional operation schemes, the electrical cost is saved by 2.03%-5.79% by the schemes of adjusting blade angles when pumping certain discharge. 展开更多

In view of the poor water supply system’s network properties, the system’s complicated network hydraulic equations were replaced by macroscopic nodal pressure model and the model of relationship between supply flow and water source head. By using pump-station pressure head and initial tank water levels as decision variables, the model of optimal allocation of water supply between pump-sources was developed. Genetic algorithm was introduced to deal with the model of optimal allocation of water supply. Methods for handling each constraint condition were put forward, and overcome the shortcoming such as premature convergence of genetic algorithm; a solving method was brought forward in which genetic algorithm was combined with simulated annealing technology and self-adaptive crossover and mutation probabilities were adopted. Multi-objective optimal dispatching schemes with intelligent algorithms are recognized as effective measures to promote the economics and environmental friendliness of microgrid applications.However,the low accuracy and poor convergence of these algorithms have been challenging for system operators.The bird swarm algorithm(BSA),a new bio-heuristic cluster intelligent algorithm,can potentially address these challenges;however,its computational iterative process may fall into a local optimum and result in premature convergence when optimizing small portions of multi-extremum functions.To analyze the impact of a multi-objective economic-environmental dispatching of a microgrid and overcome the aforementioned problems of the BSA,a self-adaptive levy flight strategy-based BSA(LF-BSA)was proposed.It can solve the dispatching problems of microgrid and enhance its dispatching convergence accuracy,stability,and speed,thereby improving its optimization performance.Six typical test functions were used to compare the LF-BSA with three commonly accepted algorithms to verify its excellence.Finally,a typical summer-time daily microgrid scenario under grid-connected operational conditions was simulated.The results proved the feasibility of the proposed LF-BSA,effectiveness of the multi-objective optimization,and necessity of using renewable energy and energy storage in microgrid dispatching optimization. 展开更多

In this paper, a novel riser reactor was proposed for pyridine synthesis. Experiment result showed that the yield of pyridine and 3-picoline decreased, but the selectivity of pyridine over 3-picoline increased compared to turbulent fluidized-bed reactor. Based on experimental data, a modified kinetic model was used for the determination of optimal operating condition for riser reactor. The optimal operation of water distribution networks under local pipe failures, such as water main breaks, was proposed. Based on a hydraulic analysis and a simulation of water distribution networks, a macroscopic model for a network under a local pipe failure was established by the statistical regression. After the operation objectives under a local pipe failure were determined, the optimal operation model was developed and solved by the genetic algorithm. The program was developed and examined by a city distribution network. The optimal operation alternative shows that the electricity cost is saved approximately 11%, the income of the water corporation is increased approximately 5%, and the pressure in the water distribution network is distributed evenly to ensure the network safe operation. Therefore, the proposed method for optimal operation under local pipe failure is feasible and cost-effective. 展开更多

Methanol to olefin(MTO)technology provides the opportunity to produce olefins from nonpetroleum sources such as coal,biomass and natural gas.More than 20 commercial MTO plants have been put into operation.Till now,contributions on optimal operation of industrial MTO plants from a process systems engineering perspective are rare.Based on relevance vector machine(RVM),a data-driven framework for optimal operation of the industrial MTO process is established to fully utilize the plentiful industrial data sets.RVM correlates the yield distribution prediction of main products and the operation conditions.These correlations then serve as the constraints for the multi-objective optimization model to pursue the optimal operation of the plant.Nondominated sorting genetic algorithmⅡis used to solve the optimization problem.Comprehensive tests demonstrate that the ethylene yield is effectively improved based on the proposed framework.Since RVM does provide the distribution prediction instead of point estimation,the established model is expected to provide guidance for actual production operations under uncertainty. 展开更多

In a multi-energy collaboration system, cooling, heating, electricity, and other energy components are coupled to complement each other. Through multi-energy coordination and cooperation, they can significantly improve their individual operating efficiency and overall economic benefits. Demand response, as a multi-energy supply and demand balance method, can further improve system flexibility and economy. Therefore, a multi-energy cooperative system optimization model has been proposed, which is driven by price-based demand response to determine the impact of power-demand response on the optimal operating mode of a multi-energy cooperative system. The main components of the multi-energy collaborative system have been analyzed. The multi-energy coupling characteristics have been identified based on the energy hub model. Using market elasticity as a basis, a price-based demand response model has been built. The model has been optimized to minimize daily operating cost of the multi-energy collaborative system. Using data from an actual situation, the model has been verified, and we have shown that the adoption of price-based demand response measures can significantly improve the economy of multi-energy collaborative systems. 展开更多

A multi-objective optimal operation model of water-sedimentation-power in reservoir is established with power-generation, sedimentation and water storage taken into account. Moreover, the inertia weight self-adjusting mechanism and Pareto-optimal archive are introduced into the particle swarm optimization and an improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization (IMOPSO) is proposed. The IMOPSO is employed to solve the optimal model and obtain the Pareto-optimal front. The multi-objective optimal operation of Wanjiazhai Reservoir during the spring breakup was investigated with three typical flood hydrographs. The results show that the former method is able to obtain the Pareto-optimal front with a uniform distribution property. Different regions (A, B, C) of the Pareto-optimal front correspond to the optimized schemes in terms of the objectives of sediment deposition, sediment deposition and power generation, and power generation, respectively. The level hydrographs and outflow hydrographs show the operation of the reservoir in details. Compared with the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm-Ⅱ (NSGA-Ⅱ), IMOPSO has close global optimization capability and is suitable for multi-objective optimization problems. 展开更多

They gave the maximal probability of successful teleportation. Here we find that their operation is not the optimal and the successful probability of the teleportation is not maximum. In order to make the diagnosis methods have more excellent integrated ability in such aspects as precision, sensitivity, reliability and compact algorithm, and so on, and enlightened by the energy operator separation algorithm (EOSA), a new demodulation method which is optimizing energy operator separation algorithm (OEOSA) is presented. In the algorithm, the non-linear differential operator is utilized to its differential equation: Choosing the unit impulse response length of filter and fixing the weighting coefficient for inportant points. The method has been applied in diagnosing tooth broden and fatiguing crack of gear faults successfully. It provides demodulation analysis of machine signal with a new approach. 展开更多

Optimizing operational parameters for syngas production of Texaco coal-water slurry gasifier studied in this paper is a complicated nonlinear constrained problem concerning 3 BP(Error Back Propagation) neural networks. To solve this model, a new 3-layer cultural evolving algorithm framework which has a population space, a medium space and a belief space is firstly conceived. Standard differential evolution algorithm(DE), genetic algorithm(GA), and particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO) are embedded in this framework to build 3-layer mixed cultural DE/GA/PSO(3LM-CDE, 3LM-CGA, and 3LM-CPSO) algorithms. The accuracy and efficiency of the proposed hybrid algorithms are firstly tested in 20 benchmark nonlinear constrained functions. Then, the operational optimization model for syngas production in a Texaco coal-water slurry gasifier of a real-world chemical plant is solved effectively. The simulation results are encouraging that the 3-layer cultural algorithm evolving framework suggests ways in which the performance of DE, GA, PSO and other population-based evolutionary algorithms(EAs) can be improved,and the optimal operational parameters based on 3LM-CDE algorithm of the syngas production in the Texaco coalwater slurry gasifier shows outstanding computing results than actual industry use and other algorithms. 展开更多

A new optimizing framework of process operation is proposed to deal with optimizing op- eration of continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR). The optimization framework includes two layers: the first layer, necessary condition of optimally (NCO) tracking controller, calculates the optimal set-point of the process; and the second layer, output neighboring-extremal controller, calculates the input values of the controlled plant. The algorithm design and convergent analysis of output neighboring-extremal controller are discussed emphatically, and in the case of existing parametric uncertainty, the approach is shown to converge to the optimum atmost in two iterations. At last the approach is illustrated by simulation results for a dynamic CSTR. 展开更多

With the expansion and implementation of rural revitalization strategies,there is a constant need for new energy sources for the construction of new townships.Consequently,integrated energy systems with the interconnection and interaction of multiple energy sources are developing rapidly.Biomass energy,a renewable green energy source with low pollution and wide distribution,has significant application potential in integrated energy systems.Considering the application of biomass energy in townships,this study established an integrated biomass energy system and proposed a model to optimize its operation.Lowest economic cost and highest clean energy utilization rate were considered as the objective functions.In addition,a plan was suggested to adjust the heat-electricity ratio based on the characteristics of the combined heat and power of the biomass.Finally,a simulation analysis conducted for a town in China was discussed,demonstrating that the construction of a township integrated-energy system and the use of biomass can significantly reduce operating costs and improve the energy utilization rate.Moreover,by adjusting the heat-electricity ratio,the economic cost was further reduced by 6.70%,whereas the clean energy utilization rate was increased by 5.14%. 展开更多

As new power systems and dual carbon policies develop,virtual power plant cluster(VPPC)provides another reliable way to promote the efficient utilization of energy and solve environmental pollution problems.To solve the coordinated optimal operation and low-carbon economic operation problem in multi-virtual power plant,a multi-virtual power plant(VPP)electricity-carbon interaction optimal scheduling model considering integrated demand response(IDR)is proposed.Firstly,a multi-VPP electricity-carbon interaction framework is established.The interaction of electric energy and carbon quotas can realize energy complementarity,reduce energy waste and promote low-carbon operation.Secondly,in order to coordinate the multiple types of energy and load in VPPC to further achieve low-carbon operation,the IDR mechanism based on the user comprehensive satisfaction(UCS)of electricity,heat as well as hydrogen is designed,which can effectively maintain the UCS in the cluster within a relatively high range.Finally,the unit output scheme is formulated to minimize the total cost of VPPC and the model is solved using theCPLEX solver.The simulation results showthat the proposed method effectively promotes the coordinated operation among multi-VPP,increases the consumption rate of renewable energy sources and the economics of VPPC and reduces carbon emissions. 展开更多

The multi-stage development strategy is often adopted in the gas field.However,when the productivity decline occurs,many large processing stations will be severely idle and underutilized,significantly reducing operating efficiency and revenue.This study proposes a novel operation mode of multiple gathering production systems for gas field multi-stage development,integrating the decisions about processing capacity allocation and infrastructure construction to share processing stations and improve multi-system operating efficiency.A multi-period mixed integer linear programming model for multisystem operation optimization is established to optimize the net present value(NPV),considering the production of gas wells,time-varying gas prices,and the capacity of processing stations.The decision of processing capacity,location,construction timing,and capacity expansion of processing stations,as well as transmission capacity of pipelines and processing capacity allocation schemes,can be obtained to meet long-term production demand.Furthermore,a real case study indicates that the proposed processing capacity allocation approach not only has a shorter payback period and increases NPV by 4.8%,but also increases the utilization efficiency of processing stations from 27.37% to 48.94%.This work demonstrates that the synergy between the processing capacity allocation and infrastructure construction can hedge against production fluctuations and increase potential profits. 展开更多

In high-renewable-energy power systems,the demand for fast-responding capabilities is growing.To address the limitations of conventional closed-loop frequency control,where the integral coefficient cannot dynamically adjust the frequency regulation command based on the state of charge(SoC)of energy storage units,this paper proposes a secondary frequency regulation control strategy based on variable integral coefficients for multiple energy storage units.First,a power-uniform controller is designed to ensure that thermal power units gradually take on more regulation power during the frequency regulation process.Next,a control framework based on variable integral coefficients is proposed within the secondary frequency regulation model,along with an objective function that simultaneously considers both Automatic Generation Control(AGC)command tracking performance and SoC recovery requirements of energy storage units.Finally,a gradient descent optimization method is used to dynamically adjust the gain of the energy storage integral controller,allowingmultiple energy storage units to respond in real-time to AGC instructions and SoC variations.Simulation results confirmthe effectiveness of the proposedmethod.Compared to traditional strategies,the proposed approach takes into account the SoCdiscrepancies amongmultiple energy storage units and the duration of system net power imbalances.It successfully implements secondary frequency regulation while achieving dynamic power allocation among the units. 展开更多
