The exact angles of the reflection paths are unknown beforehand, and therefore, the reflection paths can not be suppressed easily. Therefore, in this article, an improved reflection paths suppression approach is presented. A block matrix aggregate is constructed based on the possible angles of the reflection paths. Combined with the beamforming-like processing, a generalized maximum likelihood estimation is derived to optimize the estimation. Moreover, the noise reduction method based on the Toeplitz covariance matrix is used for better performance. This approach is applied to the real data collected by the low-angle tracking radar with 8-channel vertical array. The experiment results show that the reflection effects are reduced and the accuracy of the elevation estimate is improved.展开更多

But its performance is not so good as maximum a posterior probability(MAP) algorithm. So it is very important to improve its performance. The non-correlation between minimum and maximum likelihood paths in SOVA is analyzed. The metric difference of both likelihood paths is used as iterative soft information, which is not the same as the traditional SOVA. The performance of the proposed SOVA is demonstrated by the simulations. For 1 024-bit frame size and 9 iterations with signal to noise ratio from 1 dB to 4 dB, the experimental results show that the new SOVA algorithm obtains about more 0. 4 dB and 0. 2 dB coding gains more than the traditional SOVA and Bi-SOVA algorithms at bit error rate(BER) of 1 × 10^-4 , while the latency is only half of the Bi-direction SOVA decoding.展开更多

By reasoning out the conclusion from the fitting results of failure data of a software project, the SRES can recommend users “the most suitable model” as a software reliability measurement model. We believe that the SRES can overcome the inconsistency in applications of software reliability models well. We report investigation results of singularity and parameter estimation methods of experimental models in SRES.展开更多
