Content Characteristics of Knowledge Integration in the eHealth Field:An Analysis Based on Citation Contexts 被引量:4

Purpose:This study attempts to disclose the characteristics of knowledge integration in an interdisciplinary field by looking into the content aspect of knowledge.Design/methodology/approach:The eHealth field was chosen in the case study.Associated knowledge phrases(AKPs)that are shared between citing papers and their references were extracted from the citation contexts of the eHealth papers by applying a stem-matching method.A classification schema that considers the functions of knowledge in the domain was proposed to categorize the identified AKPs.The source disciplines of each knowledge type were analyzed.Quantitative indicators and a co-occurrence analysis were applied to disclose the integration patterns of different knowledge types.Findings:The annotated AKPs evidence the major disciplines supplying each type of knowledge.Different knowledge types have remarkably different integration patterns in terms of knowledge amount,the breadth of source disciplines,and the integration time lag.We also find several frequent co-occurrence patterns of different knowledge types.Research limitations:The collected articles of the field are limited to the two leading open access journals.The stem-matching method to extract AKPs could not identify those phrases with the same meaning but expressed in words with different stems.The type of Research Subject dominates the recognized AKPs,which calls on an improvement of the classification schema for better knowledge integration analysis on knowledge units.Practical implications:The methodology proposed in this paper sheds new light on knowledge integration characteristics of an interdisciplinary field from the content perspective.The findings have practical implications on the future development of research strategies in eHealth and the policies about interdisciplinary research.Originality/value:This study proposed a new methodology to explore the content characteristics of knowledge integration in an interdisciplinary field. 展开更多

However, the student has the excellent adept technique merely also by far insufficient, but also needs the high artistic aesthetic ability, not only need be able to appreciate the piano performance, but must be able to reveal the artistic aesthetic feature in the process of piano performance. Piano education as one of the ways of music education, and other subjects, there is the subject of the universal education as its educational ideas, educational ideas and teaching methods, a direct impact on the generation after generation of the comprehensive quality of education. Purpose:As scientific resources are widely distributed,researchers often have difficulties in acquiring information from different individual sources.This paper intends to present a new approach to construct a subject-knowledge-based integration platform which was carried out by the Institute of Software,Chinese Academy of Sciences(ISCAS).Our aim is to use technique tools to strengthen the library service by combining a variety of information service resources with knowledge tools.Design/methodology/approach:Based on the analysis of users’ needs,we established a collaborative team across ISCAS Library,National Science Library of CAS(NSL CAS),and ISCAS’ research groups or research labs.With the service tools developed by ISCAS Library,we embedded other multipurpose utility tools of knowledge integration into the platform as to make full use of software tools in knowledge integration,knowledge fusion,and intelligent push of library services to end users.Findings:With a hard effort of the construction team,the ISCAS subject group platform(hereinafter as ISCAS Platform) has integrated such information resources as institutional repository(IR) of ISCAS,open resources from websites and subject resources of computer sciences.Up to date,ISCAS platform can provide integrated information services including data collection for computer science and intelligent generation of citation reports,by means of embedding self-developed discovering tools for domain experts and subject content,and generation tools for scientific citation reports.Research limitations:Knowledge organization need be further improved in the ISCAS subject group platform.In addition,functions for academic exchanges need be maximized as to meet the individual demands of researchers for library services at the Platform.Practical implications:Since we Platform has been put into use through the Library website of the ISCAS in June 2012,many academic libraries from both domestic universities and CAS institutes have showed their strong interest for our self-developed tools,among which more than 10 cooperation partnerships have been formed.Originality/value:Through self-developed service tools and the integration of multiple-type resources,our Platform has solved such key problems as timely access and update of the trusted resources from a third party,and the rapid fusion and extension of library resources while establishing subject knowledge environment.So the ISCAS library can provide a flexible customization of library services according to the need of different users. 展开更多

Audit practice is a team effort led by signing auditors.We examine the impact of the heterogeneity of signing auditors’audit-firm serving experiences on the disclosure of key audit matters(KAMs).Auditors with more heterogeneous serving experiences demonstrate more adequate KAM disclosure,as evidenced by more KAMs,longer texts and clearer attributions in their disclosures.This effect is influenced by the quality of audit knowledge that auditors accumulate from different serving experiences and the team-and audit-firm-level knowledge integration environment.Furthermore,signing auditors with more diverse service experience tend to improve audit quality,reduce the incidence of restatement or misconduct and enhance the informativeness of financial reports.Our findings enrich the KAM disclosure research and provide insights into audit firms’human resource allocation and internal management. 展开更多

Functional knowledge integration is the initial and core phase of a design process. It is the key phase to ensure that the functional requirement of the design product can be appropriately complied with, and its result is also the rudiment of the subsequent detailed design work. If this important phase can be supported by an increasingly distributed resource environment, and be automated such that its completion requires less manual work, the efficiency of the design process would be largely improved and its ability to promote innovation would be enhanced. Therefore, this study involved a detailed analysis of the functional knowledge integration of the design process, as well as the proposal of a corresponding running model. Based on the model, a computational algorithm and an evaluating method were established to automate functional knowledge integration. A corresponding computer program was developed to prove the feasibility of this approach, and it was used to design a solarpowered wiper blade. 展开更多

The paper considers the problem of semantic processing of web documents by designing an approach, which combines extracted semantic document model and domain- related knowledge base. The knowledge base is populated with learnt classification rules categorizing documents into topics. Classification provides for the reduction of the dimensio0ality of the document feature space. The semantic model of retrieved web documents is semantically labeled by querying domain ontology and processed with content-based classification method. The model obtained is mapped to the existing knowledge base by implementing inference algorithm. It enables models of the same semantic type to be recognized and integrated into the knowledge base. The approach provides for the domain knowledge integration and assists the extraction and modeling web documents semantics. Implementation results of the proposed approach are presented. 展开更多

BACKGROUND: Disagreement exists regarding the need for knowledge about complementary and integrative health(CIH) strategies, as well as for the need to consider such strategies in clinical nursing practice. OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to assess the knowledge, attitude and use of CIH strategies among nurses in Iran. DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS AND INTERVENTIONS: A cross-sectional study of nurses working in two hospitals of Zabol University of Medical Sciences, in southeast Iran, was conducted from October 2014 to April 2015. The questionnaire, developed specifically for this research, was used to assess the knowledge, attitude and use of CIH by nurses. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to interpret the survey responses.RESULTS: Most nurses(n=95, 60.5%) have average knowledge about CIH strategies with most holding a positive attitude about use(n=81, 51.6%). The majority(n=90, 57.3%) of nurses, however, never applied CIH methods. Where CIH was used, massage was most often clinically applied(n=129, 82.2%) and a large percentage believed it useful for treating illness(n=136, 87.9%). Other CIH methods commonly used included prayer and herbal medicine.CONCLUSION: Nurses have positive attitudes about CIH though knowledge was typically weak. Educational programs should carefully consider how knowledge about CIH methods could be strengthened within curricula. 展开更多

Ontology alignment is an essential and complex task to integrate heterogeneous ontology.The meta-heuristic algorithm has proven to be an effective method for ontology alignment.However,it only applies the inherent advantages of metaheuristics algorithm and rarely considers the execution efficiency,especially the multi-objective ontology alignment model.The performance of such multi-objective optimization models mostly depends on the well-distributed and the fast-converged set of solutions in real-world applications.In this paper,two multi-objective grasshopper optimization algorithms(MOGOA)are proposed to enhance ontology alignment.One isε-dominance concept based GOA(EMO-GOA)and the other is fast Non-dominated Sorting based GOA(NS-MOGOA).The performance of the two methods to align the ontology is evaluated by using the benchmark dataset.The results demonstrate that the proposed EMO-GOA and NSMOGOA improve the quality of ontology alignment and reduce the running time compared with other well-known metaheuristic and the state-of-the-art ontology alignment methods. 展开更多

Nanoplastics toxicity has been framed as an emerging,distinct research area,purportedly addressing a new threat.While this focus has heightened public awareness and influenced the regulation of plastics,isolating nanoplastics toxicity risks inefficiently allocating research resources and hindering sustainable management strategies.Here,using data mining and machine learning,we show that research on nanoplastics toxicity closely mirrors that of engineered nanoparticles,a well-established domain of nanotoxicology.Examining 154,745 research articles on nanoparticle and nanoplastics toxicology,we find that both particle types share similar physicochemical properties,biological uptake mechanisms,toxicity profiles,and structure−toxicity relationships.Although nanoplastics pollution is more pervasive in scale and morphological diversity,its toxicological attributes align with those documented for other nanoscale materials.We challenge the notion that nanoplastics pose a distinct,separate risk,proposing instead that integrating nanoplastics toxicity into the broader field of nanotoxicology can streamline research,prevent duplication of effort,and more efficiently guide policies,resource use,and remediation strategies toward globally sustainable outcomes. 展开更多
