Existing approaches for addressing long-term extreme responses are extremely cumbersome for adoption. This work aims to develop an approach for the long-term extreme-response analysis of floating structures. A modified gradient-based retrieval algorithm in conjunction with the inverse first-order reliability method(IFORM) is proposed to enable the use of convolution models in long-term extreme analysis of structures with an analytical formula of response amplitude operator(RAO). The proposed algorithm ensures convergence stability and iteration accuracy and exhibits a higher computational efficiency than the traditional backtracking method. However, when the RAO of general offshore structures cannot be analytically expressed, the convolutional integration method fails to function properly. A numerical discretization approach is further proposed for offshore structures in the case when the analytical expression of the RAO is not feasible. Through iterative discretization of environmental contours(ECs) and RAOs, a detailed procedure is proposed to calculate the long-term response extremes of offshore structures. The validity and accuracy of the proposed approach are tested using a floating offshore wind turbine as a numerical example. The long-term extreme heave responses of various return periods are calculated via the IFORM in conjunction with a numerical discretization approach. The environmental data corresponding to N-year structural responses are located inside the ECs, which indicates that the selection of design points directly along the ECs yields conservative design results.展开更多

It combines the benefits of inverse dynamics optimization method and receding horizon optimal control technique. Firstly, the ground attack trajectory planning problem is mathematically formulated as a receding horizon optimal control problem (RHC-OCP). In particular, an approximate elliptic launch acceptable region (LAR) model is proposed to model the critical weapon delivery constraints. Secondly, a planning algorithm based on inverse dynamics optimization, which has high computational efficiency and good convergence properties, is developed to solve the RHCOCP in real-time. Thirdly, in order to improve robustness and adaptivity in a dynamic and uncer- tain environment, a two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) receding horizon control architecture is introduced and a regular real-time update strategy is proposed as well, and the real-time feedback can be achieved and the not-converged situations can be handled. Finally, numerical simulations demon- strate the efficiency of this framework, and the results also show that the presented technique is well suited for real-time implementation in dynamic and uncertain environment.展开更多

Reactivity measurements by the inverse kinetics method are widely used during the operation of a nuclear reactor. This technique is successfully applied at sufficiently high power level or to a core without an external neutron source where the neutron source term in point reactor kinetics equations may be neglected. For operation at low power levels or in the sub-critical domain, the increase in the fluctuation of the neutron signal may cause difficulties in the evaluation of reactivity and the effect of direct emission from the external neutron source may not be neglected. Therefore, contribution of the neutron source must be taken into account and this implies knowledge of a quantity proportional to the source strength, which calls the source term and then it should be determined. A high-order SPH method by introducing inverse kernels, which is quite easy to be implemented but efficient, is proposed for solving this restriction. A PDE-constrained optimization method is developed to get a global approximation scheme in both spatial and temporal domains, by using the fundamental solution of the governing equation as the basis function.Since the initial measured data contain some noises, and the resulting systems of equations are usually ill-conditioned, the Tikhonov regularization technique with the generalized crossvalidation criterion is applied to obtain more stable numerical solutions. It is shown that the proposed schemes are effective by some numerical tests.展开更多

文摘The smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH) method is usually expected to be an efficient numerical tool for calculating the fluid-structure interactions in compressors; however, an endogenetic restriction is the problem of low-order consistency. A high-order SPH method by introducing inverse kernels, which is quite easy to be implemented but efficient, is proposed for solving this restriction. The basic inverse method and the special treatment near boundary are introduced with also the discussion of the combination of the Least-Square(LS) and Moving-Least-Square(MLS) methods. Then detailed analysis in spectral space is presented for people to better understand this method. Finally we show three test examples to verify the method behavior.

文摘This article presents a method named pseudo-inverse to solve the optimal thrust allocation of dynamic positioning (DP) system, proposes to optimally determine the azimuth angle of thrusters instead of man-control or semi-auto control, and combines with the pseudo-inverse methods to get the optimal solutions for dynamic positioning control system. It is able to greatly reduce the risk of manual mode.Three different kinds of modes are proposed and detailedly illuminated, and can be used to solve much more complex nonlinear constraint problems, such as typical forbidden vector boundary.Several illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed thrust allocation modes.
文摘The development of modern mechanics in recent years has made many importantprogresse in the concepts and methods for nonlinear large deforntation mechanics([1],[2],[3]etc.). The presenl paper is aimed to show how the natural co-moving systemmethod and Stokes-Chen,s decomposition theorem can be effectively appliedasymptotically to solving problems of finite defomation elasto-plasticity by inverseasymptotic method for enyineering design purpose. Rigid punch problem is exanipfifiedin the paper.
文摘An inverse problem for identification of the coefficient in heat-conduction equation is considered. After reducing the problem to a nonlinear ill-posed operator equation, Newton type iterative methods are considered. The implicit iterative method is applied to the linearized Newton equation, and the key step in the process is that a new reasonable a posteriori stopping rule for the inner iteration is presented. Numerical experiments for the new method as well as for Tikhonov method and Bakushikskii method are given, and these results show the obvious advantages of the new method over the other ones.
文摘In this paper a new method for preventing welding hot cracking—the inverse strain method(ISM)is developed on the principle of welding mechan- ics.Effectiveness and feasiblity of method in preventing welding hot cracking of high strength aluminum alloy LY12CZ by synchronous rolling during welding (SRDW)along both sides of the weld at a suitable distance behind the welding arc are examined.Experimental resulte indicate that welding hot cracking of LY12CY can be effectively prevented and the mechanical properties of welded joint can also be improved by the method. It is an important new solution for preventing hot cracking in welding of sheet metal.

文摘In this paper, we present an effective meshless method for solving the inverse heat conduction problems, with the Neumann boundary condition. It is shown that the proposed schemes are effective by some numerical tests.

文摘A Hauser-Ernst-type extended hyperbolic complex linear system given in our previous paper [Gao Y J 2004 Chin. Phys. 13 602] is slightly modified and used to develop a new inverse scattering method for the stationary axisymmetric Einstein-Maxwell theory with multiple Abelian gauge fields. The reduction procedures in this inverse scattering method are found to be fairly simple, which makes the inverse scattering method be fine and effective in practical application. As an example, a concrete family of soliton solutions for the considered theory is obtained.
