However, there has been no study examining the role of interpersonal relationships in dysmenorrhea and how they may interact with negative emotions. Aims To investigate the connection between negative affect and dysmenorrhea, and the role of interpersonal relationships plays in this relationship. Methods The Cox Menstrual Symptom Scale (CMSS), short-form of Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, Interpersonal Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale and UCLA (University of California at Los Angeles) Loneliness Scale were applied to 855 adolescent nursing students to collect information on severity and frequency of dysmenorrheal symptoms, negative emotions (including depression, anxiety and stress), interpersonal problems and subjective experience of loneliness among them, and the relationship among these variables was examined. Results (1) Both the severity and frequency of dysmenorrhea were positively correlated with negative emotions, loneliness experience and interpersonal problems, while negatively correlated with age at menarche.(2) The negative emotions, romantic relationship and menarche age, but not loneliness and interpersonal problems, significantly contributed to both the severity and frequency of dysmenorrhea.(3) Mediation analysis revealed that the effects of loneliness and interpersonal problems on dysmenorrhea were totally mediated by negative emotions. Conclusions This investigation indicates that the relationship between interpersonal relationships and dysmenorrhea is mediated by negative emotions.展开更多

Personality factors could predict relationship satisfaction through the influence of individuals' relationship schemas (Fiske and Taylor 1991) and perceptions of their partners (Simpson and Rholes 1998). Given the potential importance of attachment styles to relationship mechanisms and the well-established relationship between attachment and interpersonal behavior (Bartholomew and Horowitz 1992; Hazan and Shaver 1987), interpersonal traits may influence relationship satisfaction directly. According to Leary's (1957) interpersonal reflex theory, any interpersonal act elicits responses from the other person that verify, validate, or otherwise reinforce the actor's own self-image and self-presentation, and thus increase the probability that the actor will emit similar interpersonal acts in future interactions. The Impact Message Inventory (IMI) attempts to measure individuals' perceptions of how others impact them by evoking interpersonal acts such as dominance and affiliation. This study examined the influence of perceived partner-evoked behavior and individuals' own interpersonal styles on relationship satisfaction. This study used IMI measures of evoked Dominance and Affiliation as well as revised Liking and Loving measures to predict relationship satisfaction using three different satisfaction outcome measures. The final analyses included 291 participants (134 men and 157 women) who completed a scantron survey. Partner impact, or the interpersonal behaviors, evoked from the individual during interaction, predicted relationship satisfaction well. Evoked affiliation was the most consistently strong predictor of satisfaction across all three outcome measures. Liking (distinct here from affiliation) is a stronger predictor of relationship satisfaction than is loving (distinct here from passion), and it is significant across all three outcome measures. The liking measure appears to reflect a relatively high level of reward in the relationship and intrinsic enjoyment of the partner's company without the comparative cost of loving. Future research should examine interactions between couples, moving beyond intrapsychic self-reports of perceived experiences and feelings, although these are important in their own right.展开更多

文摘The aim of this work is to present the central role of interpersonal relations in Human Systems Therapy(HST).Psychotherapies can be classified as(a)down-top therapies, such as individual therapies following reductionism, namely influencing the whole(behavior)through the intra-psychic parts,(b)top-down or holistic therapies, such as family therapies influencing the parts(individuals)through the whole family, and(c)the combination of down-top and top-down.Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT)and Multisystemic Therapy(MST)act on two levels that influence each other, namely the individuals and their relations. This is also applied, more or less,on relational and interpersonal therapies. When there is an intervention in two interacting parts or levels, then the result of the intervention is more than additive and more effective. When the levels are more than two, then the effectiveness is expected to be even higher. This is the case of Human Systems Therapy(HST),which is applied intrapsychically,on interpersonal relations and on family and/or larger systems, with interpersonal relations having a central role.HST is based on general systems principles and it constitutes a multilevel approach:(a)a definition of a human system,(b)epistemology,(c)a model of human systems personality/intelligence,(d)an increase in order and variety.Besides,HST includes a large number of techniques.Empirical support of HST effectiveness shows that(a)after seven sessions with schizophrenics,39%of psychotic symptoms are reduced,(b)after eight sessions with hashish adolescent users, all users stop the use completely,and(c)9 out of 11 psychiatric non-psychotic cases(81%),after four sessions, become non-psychiatric ones(treated).

文摘The mental health issues of college students have become an increasingly prominent social problem, exerting severe impacts on their academic performance and overall well-being.Early identification of Interpersonal Sensitivity(IS)in students serves as an effective approach to detect psychological problems and provide timely intervention. In this study,958 freshmen from higher education institutions in Zhejiang Province were selected as participants. We proposed a Multi-Strategy Artemisinin Optimization(MSAO)algorithm by enhancing the Artemisinin Optimization(AO)framework through the integration of a group-guided elimination strategy and a two-stage consolidation strategy.Subsequently, the MSAO was combined with the Fuzzy K-Nearest Neighbor(FKNN)classifier to develop the bMSAO-FKNN predictive model for assessing college students’IS.The proposed algorithm’s efficacy was validated through the CEC 2017 benchmark test suite, while the model’s performance was evaluated on the IS dataset, achieving an accuracy rate of 97.81%.These findings demonstrate that the bMSAO-FKNN model not only ensures high predictive accuracy but also offers interpretability for IS prediction, making it a valuable tool for mental health monitoring in academic settings.

文摘This study aimed to explore how core self-evaluations and gender influence interpersonal adjustment and depression risk.Participants were 1748 college students(female=59.73%,male=40.27%,mean age=18.71 years,SD=0.78 years). The students completed the Interpersonal Adjustment Scale for College Students,Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale, and Core Self-evaluation Scale. The results of Linear regression and mediated moderated effects modeling revealed that college students with higher interpersonal adjustment and core self-evaluation scores were at lower risk for depression.Core self-evaluation mediated the relationship between interpersonal adjustment and depression in college students for lower risk for depression.Gender moderated the relationship between interpersonal adjustment and core self-evaluation in college students for higher risk for depression in female students. From thesefindings,we conclude that interpersonal adjustment and core self-evaluation are significant for screening depression risk college students. Moreover, female students may benefit from targeted interventions aimed at their interpersonal adjustment for reducing their risk of depression.
