FENet:Underwater Image Enhancement via Frequency Domain Enhancement and Edge-Guided Refinement

Underwater images often affect the effectiveness of underwater visual tasks due to problems such as light scattering,color distortion,and detail blurring,limiting their application performance.Existing underwater image enhancement methods,although they can improve the image quality to some extent,often lead to problems such as detail loss and edge blurring.To address these problems,we propose FENet,an efficient underwater image enhancement method.FENet first obtains three different scales of images by image downsampling and then transforms them into the frequency domain to extract the low-frequency and high-frequency spectra,respectively.Then,a distance mask and a mean mask are constructed based on the distance and magnitude mean for enhancing the high-frequency part,thus improving the image details and enhancing the effect by suppressing the noise in the low-frequency part.Affected by the light scattering of underwater images and the fact that some details are lost if they are directly reduced to the spatial domain after the frequency domain operation.For this reason,we propose a multi-stage residual feature aggregation module,which focuses on detail extraction and effectively avoids information loss caused by global enhancement.Finally,we combine the edge guidance strategy to further enhance the edge details of the image.Experimental results indicate that FENet outperforms current state-of-the-art underwater image enhancement methods in quantitative and qualitative evaluations on multiple publicly available datasets. 展开更多

This paper introduces a small perturbation frequency domain thermal analysis model based on the nonlinear dynamics model.The model can be applied to study the high-precision temperature control of thermal systems under low-frequency complex perturbations.The frequency domain characteristics of the space gravitational wave detection satellite are analyzed,and a multi-channel perturbation structure is established.The effects of three kinds of heat flow perturbations,including external heat flow,power generation power,and waste heat of electronic equipment,on the temperature through five transfer paths are investigated.It has been discovered that the waste heat from electronic equipment inside the satellite has the most noticeable effect on the temperature power spectral density of temperature-sensitive optical loads,serving as the primary factor influencing thermal stability.For complex noise signals,the small perturbation analysis method can decompose the different frequency components or ranges,reducing the problem to linearized analysis and simplifying complex calculations.The results indicate that the temperature power spectral density decreases as signal frequency increases,with low-frequency signals exerting a greater influence on temperature stability.The small perturbation analysis method is a novel and effective method for temperature control of space thermal systems,with high accuracy and stability. 展开更多

Human motion modeling is a core technology in computer animation,game development,and humancomputer interaction.In particular,generating natural and coherent in-between motion using only the initial and terminal frames remains a fundamental yet unresolved challenge.Existing methods typically rely on dense keyframe inputs or complex prior structures,making it difficult to balance motion quality and plausibility under conditions such as sparse constraints,long-term dependencies,and diverse motion styles.To address this,we propose a motion generation framework based on a frequency-domain diffusion model,which aims to better model complex motion distributions and enhance generation stability under sparse conditions.Our method maps motion sequences to the frequency domain via the Discrete Cosine Transform(DCT),enabling more effective modeling of low-frequency motion structures while suppressing high-frequency noise.A denoising network based on self-attention is introduced to capture long-range temporal dependencies and improve global structural awareness.Additionally,a multi-objective loss function is employed to jointly optimize motion smoothness,pose diversity,and anatomical consistency,enhancing the realism and physical plausibility of the generated sequences.Comparative experiments on the Human3.6M and LaFAN1 datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-the-art approaches across multiple performance metrics,showing stronger capabilities in generating intermediate motion frames.This research offers a new perspective and methodology for human motion generation and holds promise for applications in character animation,game development,and virtual interaction. 展开更多

Sea-surface wind is a vital meteorological element in marine activities and climate research.This study proposed the spectral attention enhanced multidimensional feature fusion convolutional long short-term memory(LSTM)network(SAMFF-Conv-LSTM),a novel approach for sea-surface wind-speed prediction that emphasizes the temporal characteristics of data samples.The model incorporates the Fourier transform to extract time-and frequency-domain features from wave and wind variables.For the 12 h prediction,the SAMFF-ConvLSTM achieved a correlation coefficient of 0.960 and a root mean square error(RMSE)of 1.350 m/s,implying a high prediction accuracy.For the 24 h prediction,the RMSE of the SAMFF-ConvLSTM was reduced by 38.11%,14.26%,and 13.36%compared with those of the convolutional neural network,gated recurrent units,and convolutional LSTM(ConvLSTM),respectively.These results confirm the superior reliability and accuracy of the SAMFF-ConvLSTM over traditional models in theoretical and practical applications. 展开更多

In the machining of high-end optical components,the aerostatic spindle error of an ultra-precision machine tool has a significant impact on the surface quality of the machined surfaces.The surfaces of many high-end optical components need to meet the extremely stringent requirements of the full-frequency band error,which poses significant challenge to the control of the aerostatic spindle error.In this research,we put forward an active control method for the frequency domain error of the aerostatic spindle based on acoustic levitation,in which the acousticmagnetism-fluid-solid multi-field coupling rotor dynamics modeling method of the aerostatic spindle was proposed and the corresponding multi-field coupling model was established.Through the numerical simulation and preliminary experiments,the influence law of acoustic levitation on the frequency domain error of the aerostatic spindle is obtained.The results showed that acoustic levitation can be used to control the frequency domain error of the aerostatic spindle to some extent,which verified the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Based on the optimal steep descent methods, we present an algorithm which combines the preconditioned bi-conjugated gradient stable method and the multi-grid method to compute the wave propagation and the gradient space. The multiple scale prosperity of the waveform inversion and the multi-grid method can overcome the inverse problems local minima defect and accelerate convergence. The local inhomogeneous three-hole model simulated results and the Marmousi model certify the algorithm effectiveness. 展开更多

Due to the strong electromagnetic interferences and human interference,traditional electromagnetic methods cannot obtain high quality resistivity data of mineral deposits in Chinese mines.The wide field electromagnetic method(WFEM),in which the pseudo-random signal is taken as the transmitter source,can extract high quality resistivity data in areas with sever interference by only measuring the electric field component.We use the WFEM to extract the resistivity information of the Dongguashan mine in southeast China.Compared with the audio magnetotelluric(AMT)method,and the controlled source audio-frequency magnetotelluric(CSAMT) method,the WFEM can obtain data with higher quality and simpler operations.The inversion results indicate that the WFEM can accurately identify the location of the main ore-body,which can be used for deep mine exploration in areas with strong interference. 展开更多

With the aid of the Floquet theory, the movement characteristics of interval stability are deeply studied. Finally, an enhanced power spectrum density (PSD) is proposed to obtain more accurate modal parameters by curve fitting in the frequency domain. In this paper, we propose a hybrid PML (H-PML) combining the normal absorption factor of convolutional PML (C-PML) with tangential absorption factor of Mutiaxial PML (M-PML). The H-PML boundary conditions can better suppress the numerical instability in some extreme models, and the computational speed of finite-element method and the dynamic range are greatly increased using this HPML. We use the finite-element method with a hybrid PML to model the acoustic reflection of the interface when wireline and well logging while drilling (LWD), in a formation with a reflector outside the borehole. The simulation results suggests that the PS- and SP- reflected waves arrive at the same time when the inclination between the well and the outer interface is zero, and the difference in arrival times increases with increasing dip angle. When there are fractures outside the well, the reflection signal is clearer in the subsequent reflection waves and may be used to identify the fractured zone. The difference between the dominant wavelength and the model scale shows that LWD reflection logging data are of higher resolution and quality than wireline acoustic reflection logging. 展开更多

A modified slow-fast analysis method is presented for the periodically excited non-autonomous dynamical system with an order gap between the exciting frequency and the natural frequency.By regarding the exciting term as a slow-varying parameter,a generalized autonomous fast subsystem can be defined,the equilibrium branches as well as the bifurcations of which can be employed to account for the mechanism of the bursting oscillations by combining the transformed phase portrait introduced.As an example,a typical periodically excited Hartley model is used to demonstrate the validness of the method,in which the exciting frequency is far less than the natural frequency.The equilibrium branches and their bifurcations of the fast subsystem with the variation of the slow-varying parameter are presented.Bursting oscillations for two typical cases are considered,which reveals that,fold bifurcation may cause the the trajectory to jump between different equilibrium branches,while Hopf bifurcation may cause the trajectory to oscillate around the stable limit cycle. 展开更多

The delay compensation method plays an essential role in maintaining the stability and achieving accurate real-time hybrid simulation results. The effectiveness of various compensation methods in different test scenarios, however, needs to be quantitatively evaluated. In this study, four compensation methods (i.e., the polynomial extrapolation, the linear acceleration extrapolation, the inverse compensation and the adaptive inverse compensation) are selected and compared experimentally using a frequency evaluation index (FEI) method. The effectiveness of the FEI method is first verified through comparison with the discrete transfer fimction approach for compensation methods assuming constant delay. Incomparable advantage is further demonstrated for the FEI method when applied to adaptive compensation methods, where the discrete transfer function approach is difficult to implement. Both numerical simulation and laboratory tests with predefined displacements are conducted using sinusoidal signals and random signals as inputs. Findings from numerical simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the FEI method is an efficient and effective approach to compare the performance of different compensation methods, especially for those requiring adaptation of compensation parameters. 展开更多

To improve the anti-noise performance of the time-domain Bregman iterative algorithm,an adaptive frequency-domain Bregman sparse-spike deconvolution algorithm is proposed.By solving the Bregman algorithm in the frequency domain,the influence of Gaussian as well as outlier noise on the convergence of the algorithm is effectively avoided.In other words,the proposed algorithm avoids data noise effects by implementing the calculations in the frequency domain.Moreover,the computational efficiency is greatly improved compared with the conventional method.Generalized cross validation is introduced in the solving process to optimize the regularization parameter and thus the algorithm is equipped with strong self-adaptation.Different theoretical models are built and solved using the algorithms in both time and frequency domains.Finally,the proposed and the conventional methods are both used to process actual seismic data.The comparison of the results confirms the superiority of the proposed algorithm due to its noise resistance and self-adaptation capability. 展开更多

For this condition, to improve the bearing estimation capability in the low SNR, a frequency domain polarization weighted ESPRIT method using a single vector device is proposed. The frequency domain polari- zation parameters extracted from the signals are used to design the weighted function which is applied to the received signals. The bearing angle and the target frequency are estimated through ESPRIT using the weighted signals. The simulation and experiment results show that the presented method can obtain accurate estimation values under the low SNR with little prior information. 展开更多

The traditional compressed sensing method for improving resolution is realized in the frequency domain.This method is aff ected by noise,which limits the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution,resulting in poor inversion.To solve this problem,we improved the objective function that extends the frequency domain to the Gaussian frequency domain having denoising and smoothing characteristics.Moreover,the reconstruction of the sparse refl ection coeffi cient is implemented by the mixed L1_L2 norm algorithm,which converts the L0 norm problem into an L1 norm problem.Additionally,a fast threshold iterative algorithm is introduced to speed up convergence and the conjugate gradient algorithm is used to achieve debiasing for eliminating the threshold constraint and amplitude error.The model test indicates that the proposed method is superior to the conventional OMP and BPDN methods.It not only has better denoising and smoothing eff ects but also improves the recognition accuracy of thin interbeds.The actual data application also shows that the new method can eff ectively expand the seismic frequency band and improve seismic data resolution,so the method is conducive to the identifi cation of thin interbeds for beach-bar sand reservoirs. 展开更多

To this problem, a novel method for wideband signals by sparse recovery in the frequency domain is proposed. The optimization functions are found and solved by the received data at every frequency, on this basis, the sparse support set is obtained, then the direction of arrival (DOA) is acquired by integrating the information of all frequency bins, and the initial signal can also be recovered. This method avoids the error caused by sparse recovery methods based on grid division, and the degree of freedom is also expanded by array transformation, especially it has a preferable performance under the circumstances of a small number of snapshots and a low signal to noise ratio (SNR). 展开更多

In this paper,a linear optimization method(LOM)for the design of terahertz circuits is presented,aimed at enhancing the simulation efficacy and reducing the time of the circuit design workflow.This method enables the rapid determination of optimal embedding impedance for diodes across a specific bandwidth to achieve maximum efficiency through harmonic balance simulations.By optimizing the linear matching circuit with the optimal embedding impedance,the method effectively segregates the simulation of the linear segments from the nonlinear segments in the frequency multiplier circuit,substantially improving the speed of simulations.The design of on-chip linear matching circuits adopts a modular circuit design strategy,incorporating fixed load resistors to simplify the matching challenge.Utilizing this approach,a 340 GHz frequency doubler was developed and measured.The results demonstrate that,across a bandwidth of 330 GHz to 342 GHz,the efficiency of the doubler remains above 10%,with an input power ranging from 98 mW to 141mW and an output power exceeding 13 mW.Notably,at an input power of 141 mW,a peak output power of 21.8 mW was achieved at 334 GHz,corresponding to an efficiency of 15.8%. 展开更多

Accurate real-time monitoring of internal temperature in lithium-ion batteries remains critical for preventing thermal runaway,as conventional approaches sacrifice either computational efficiency or cross-scenario robustness.We present a generalized fuzzy physics-informed framework that distills thermally sensitive electrochemical processes while circumventing redundant physical constraints,thereby establishing an explicit mechanism-constrained mapping between frequency-domain signals and internal temperature.This framework facilitates online thermal estimation,with dynamic validations in LiFePO_4/graphite 18650-type cells confirming real-time capability with near-instantaneous acquisition(~6 s per measurement),exceptional accuracy(±0.5℃) within the operational temperature range(30-50℃),and operational resilience across 20 %-80 % state-of-charge.The framework maintains predictive fidelity(±1.0℃ at 30℃ and ±4.0℃ at 60℃,95 % prediction intervals) across 80 %-100 % state-of-health while demonstrating adaptability to cathode materials and structural architectures.This strategy resolves the competing imperatives of physical interpretability,computational efficiency,and crossscenario generalizability,offering a universal paradigm for embedded thermal management in safetycritical applications. 展开更多

Magnon frequency combs have garnered significant attention due to their wide-ranging potential applications,primarily generated by the interplay between spin waves and oscillating magnetic textures.Developing an easily achievable magnon frequency comb with directly tunable comb spacing is pivotal for broadening its utility.In this study,we engineered a Bloch-type magnetic domain wall with a stable structure and fixed position by employing a dual-pinning approach utilizing artificial structural defects and stray fields.We established a magnetic domain wall oscillation mode based on resonant Larmor precession,serving as the foundation for a magnon frequency comb derived from magnetic domain walls.By leveraging the locally distributed Oersted field generated by an alternating current,we achieved precise control over the oscillation frequency of the domain wall,thereby realizing a magnon frequency comb with directly tunable comb spacing.The insights from this research offer a promising shortcut for exploring frequency combs based on the interaction between spin waves and magnetic domain walls. 展开更多
