Process Optimization of Cu-en/AP Composite Microspheres Preparation by Electrostatic Spray Method Based on ANSYS Simulation

To investigate the process optimizationof Cu-en/AP composite microspheres preparation via electrostatic spraying,and to reveal the effects of droplet properties and flow rate variations on the experimental results during the electrostatic spraying process,the prepared process parameters of Cu-en/AP composite microspheres by electrostatic spray method under the orthogonal experimental design simulated by ANSYS(Fluent).The influence of flow rate,solvent ratio,and solid mass on the experimental results is examined using a controlled variable method.The results indicate that under the conditions of a flow rate of 2.67×10^(-3)kg/s an acetone-to-deionized water ratio of 1.5∶1.0,and a solid mass of 200 mg,the theoretical particle size of the composite microspheres can reach e nanoscale.Droplet trajectories in the electric field remain stable without significant deviation.The simulation results show that particle diameter decreases with increasing flow rate,with the trend leveling off around a flow rate of 1×10^(-3)kg/s.As the solvent ratio increases(with higher acetone content),particle diameter initially decreases,reaching a minimum around a ratio of 1.5∶1.0 before gradually increasing.Increasing the solid mass also reduces the particle diameter,with a linear increase in diameter observed at around 220 mg.Cu-en/AP composite microspheres with nanoscale dimensions were confirmed under these conditions by the final SEM images. 展开更多

The settling flux of biodeposition affects the environmental quality of cage culture areas and determines their environmental carrying capacity.Simple and effective simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition is extremely important for determining the spatial distribution of biodeposition.Theoretically,biodeposition in cage culture areas without specific emission rules can be simplified as point source pollution.Fluent is a fluid simulation software that can simulate the dispersion of particulate matter simply and efficiently.Based on the simplification of pollution sources and bays,the settling flux of biodeposition can be easily and effectively simulated by Fluent fluid software.In the present work,the feasibility of this method was evaluated by simulation of the settling flux of biodeposition in Maniao Bay,Hainan Province,China,and 20 sampling sites were selected for determining the settling fluxes.At sampling sites P1,P2,P3,P4,P5,Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4,A1,A2,A3,A4,B1,B2,C1,C2,C3 and C4,the measured settling fluxes of biodeposition were 26.02,15.78,10.77,58.16,6.57,72.17,12.37,12.11,106.64,150.96,22.59,11.41,18.03,7.90,19.23,7.06,11.84,5.19 and 2.57 g d^(−1)m^(−2),respectively.The simulated settling fluxes of biodeposition at the corresponding sites were 16.03,23.98,8.87,46.90,4.52,104.77,16.03,8.35,180.83,213.06,39.10,17.47,20.98,9.78,23.25,7.84,15.90,6.06 and 1.65 g d^(−1)m^(−2),respectively.There was a positive correlation between the simulated settling fluxes and measured ones(R=0.94,P=2.22×10^(−9)<0.05),which implies that the spatial differentiation of biodeposition flux was well simulated.Moreover,the posterior difference ratio of the simulation was 0.38,and the small error probability was 0.94,which means that the simulated results reached an acceptable level from the perspective of relative error.Thus,if nonpoint source pollution is simplified to point source pollution and open waters are simplified based on similarity theory,the setting flux of biodeposition in the open waters can be simply and effectively simulated by the fluid simulation software Fluent. 展开更多

A novel self-rotating down-the-hole hammer with impact and rotary functions for directional drilling:Design,modeling,and experiments

Pneumatic down-the-hole hammer, serving as rock-breaking tool, possesses appeal for directional drilling due to its high rate of penetration. However, corresponding experimental studies on existing hammers for directional drilling have rarely been reported, and a model for evaluating their output performance is absent. This study proposes a novel structure of self-rotating pneumatic hammer(NSH)with a built-in rotational mechanism, which converts partial impact energy of the piston to rotate the drill bit and, consequently, enables dual functions of impact and rotate drill bit. The energy is converted via a screw key-groove mechanism, and the wedge-shaped teeth mechanism ensures that the drill bit rotates clockwise during the piston moves downward. The computational fluid dynamics method is applied to simulate the dynamic response of airflow and piston during the operation of Φ127NSH.Meanwhile, a test bench is established to record data concerning chamber pressure and piston displacement, as well as recording its operational status and rock fragmentation during drilling into granite. The results showed that the maximum error between simulated and experimental data is 8.2%.The Φ127NSH successfully achieves dual impact and rotary drilling functions, and granite smoothly feeds and forms a continuous shear rock zone. In addition, the effects of torque load, engagement distance in rotation sleeves, and well deviation angle towards the performance of NSH were studied in detail. The designed Φ127NSH operates at an impact velocity of 3.98 m/s, impact frequency of 12.55 Hz, and rotational speed of 29.51 r/min under a mass-flow rate of 0.18 kg/s, torque load of 400 N·m, engagement distance of 40 mm, and well deviation angle of 0°. The torque load adversely affects the NSH output performance. Increasing the engagement distance improves impact performance while reducing rotational performance. The performance variation of the NSH is minimal when drilling directional wells with varying deviation angles. 展开更多

The pressure distributing nephogram and the corresponding numerical value gotten compared with the experiment data received by an injector with 6 angles designed by emulation the conclusion. It has been found that the two values are coincident essentially. The article shows that using emulator technology to design optimizely is credible and simple. Airblast evolution initiated by Wangjiayan landslides in the M_(s)8.0 Wenchuan earthquake and its destructive capacity analysis

Airblasts,as one common phenomenon accompanied by rapid movements of landslides or rock/snow avalanches,commonly result in catastrophic damages and are attracting more and more scientific attention.To quantitatively analyze the intensity of airblast initiated by landslides,the Wangjiayan landslide,occurred in the Wenchuan earthquake,is selected here with the landslide propagation and airblast evolution being studied using FLUENT by introducing the Voellmy rheological law.The results reveal that:(1)For the Wangjiayan landslide,its whole travelling duration is only 12 s with its maximum velocity reaching 36 m/s at t=10 s;(2)corresponding to the landslide propagation,the maximum velocity,28 m/s,of the airblast initiated by the landslide also appears at t=10 s with its maximum pressure reaching594.8 Pa,which is equivalent to violent storm;(3)under the attack of airblast,the load suffered by buildings in the airblast zone increases to 1300 Pa at t=9.4 s and sharply decreased to-7000 Pa as the rapid decrease of the velocity of the sliding mass at t=10 s,which is seriously unfavorable for buildings and might be the key reason for the destructive collapse of buildings in the airblast zone of the Wangjiayan landslide. 展开更多

With the increasing importance of ocean exploitation,providing anti-rolling stability for ships at anchor has become more and more important.The lift-generation theory of traditional fin stabilizers is based on incoming flow velocity,which is not suitable for explaining lift generated at anchor.We analyzed non-steady flows,with forces on fin stabilizers generated by non-incoming flow velocity conditions,and gave a new lift-generation model.The correctness of the model was proven by comparing experimental results of fin stabilizer motion under non-incoming velocity conditions from the fluid computation software with that from the emulator of the lift-generation model.Finally,the model was used in an anti-rolling system on a ship and the reduction of roll was much better than what could be achieved by passive anti-rolling tanks. 展开更多

The sleeve sealing ball seat is one of the important components in the multistage fracturing process of horizontal wells.The erosion and wear of the surface will decrease the sealing performance of the fracturing ball and the ball seat.This leads to pressure leakage during the fracturing process and fracturing failure.In this paper,combined with the actual ball seat materials and working conditions during the fracturing process,the erosion tests of ductile iron and tungsten carbide materials under different erosion speeds,angles,and mortar concentrations are carried out.Then the erosion test results were analyzed by mathematical fitting,and a set of erosion models suitable for sliding sleeve setting ball seat materials were innovatively established.For the first time,this paper combines the erosion model obtained from the experiment and the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)with Fluent software to simulate the erosion of the ball seat.Based on the simulation results,the morphology of the sliding sleeve seat ball after erosion is predicted.Through analysis of the test and simulation results,it is showed that the erosion rate of tungsten carbide material is lower and the wear resistance is better under the condition of small angle erosion.This research can offer a strong basis for fracturing site selection,surface treatment methods,and prediction of failure time of ball seats. 展开更多

Fundamental metrology is closely tied to scientific advancement and requires well-equipped facilities to achieve low measurement uncertainty in rigorous experiments.Addressing the±0.1 K high-stability temperature control issue of the precision laboratory radiant air conditioning system,this study investigated the influence of different radiant panel area ratios,laying methods,cold source water supply temperature fluctuations,and external environmental disturbances by simulations.The results indicate that:(1)the larger the ratio of radiant panel area,the greater the fluctuation in equipment surface temperature;(2)the surface temperature of the measurement equipment can satisfy±0.1 K control temperature stability requirement when the fluctuations of the surface temperature of radiant panels and glass window are within±0.5 K and±1 K respectively without radiant panels on the ceiling;(3)the surface temperature of the measurement equipment can satisfy±0.1 K control temperature stability requirement when the fluctuations of the surface temperature of radiant panels and glass window are within±0.2 K and±2 K respectively with radiant panels on the ceiling.This study provides a reference for the design and operation control of air conditioning systems in fundamental metrology. 展开更多

For mechanized picking of ground jujube under thick planting mode,there arise such issues as ease of damage and inefficient and difficult separation from impurities.In view of this,a bionic arm ground jujube picker was designed on the basis of analyzing jujube planting mode and characteristics,the structural parameters of its key components were determined,and a characteristic model for airflow in the internal flow field of the cleaning system and a movement trajectory model of the gathering device were established.A quadratic orthogonal center composite test was carried out to establish the regression models between influencing factors and the performance of the picker,and analyze the influence law of these factors on the picker.In this test,ground jujubes were taken as the picking object;the forward speed of the picker,the fan speed,and the height of the picking mouth from the ground were taken as the influencing factors;and the picking rate and the impurity rate were taken as the performance indices of the picker.The optimal combination of parameters was determined by multi-objective optimization(MOD):the forward speed of the picker was 0.47 m/s,the fan speed was 3025.76 r/min,and the height of the picking mouth from the ground was 84.20 mm.At this time,the picking rate of the picker was 94.00%,and the impurity rate was 2.30%.According to test verification,the test results and optimization results were consistent,meeting the requirements of mechanized picking of ground jujube. 展开更多
