People have created a lot of English study methods such as Crazy English, Special English, Peipei English, Dapao English, and so on. These methods have made a great impact on our English teaching model. Although there are no enough scientific theories in them, we can find the special ways to learn English well especially for English listening and speaking. If you analyze them carefully, you will be surprised to find that they are very helpful to improve your listening and speaking ability, and overcome the affective shock. Following some of these methods, the learners can get more knowledge, be more interested in English, study harder and obtain the achievements easily, while the teachers can improve their teaching according to them. At last, the author points out that if the teachers can use them in class correctly, the ideal result will come out.展开更多

Those results reveal that student autonomy in learning is not satisfactory, since learners have difficulty adapting to the new learning mode. Some proposals — centred on the deeper co-operation of teachers and students, as well as the institution in its wider context — have been put forth as solutions to this problem.展开更多

It will greatly influence the expression in our communication. Both teachers and students need to pay much more attention to the learning of English vocabulary. This paper discusses the study of morphology from the perspective of modern linguistics, including the definitions of morpheme, types of morphemes, morphological structure and the main processes of word-formation of the language. Meanwhile, the author analyzes how the morphology study is applicable to English vocabulary teaching and learning in college, especially explores the purpose of the English vocabulary teaching in college, and finally proposes Some practical approaches of vocabulary teaching from the study of morphology.展开更多

Employing rigorous longitudinal statistical methods, the study examines the progress achieved over the past two decades. Notably, domestic researchers have displayed considerable interest in the study of Lu You’s English translation works since 2001. The research on the English translation of Lu You’s poetry reveals a diverse range of perspectives, indicating a rich body of scholarship. However, several challenges persist, including insufficient research, limited translation coverage, and a noticeable focus on specific poems such as “Phoenix Hairpin” in the realm of English translation research. Consequently, there is ample room for improvement in the quality of research output on the English translation of Lu You’s poems, as well as its recognition within the academic community. Building on these findings, it is argued that future investigations pertaining to the English translation of Lu You’s poetry should transcend the boundaries of textual analysis and encompass broader theoretical perspectives and research methodologies. By undertaking this shift, scholars will develop a more profound comprehension of Lu You’s poetic works and make substantive contributions to the field of translation studies. Thus, this article aims to bridge the gap between past research endeavors and future possibilities, serving as a guide and inspiration for scholars to embark on a more nuanced and enriching exploration of Lu You’s poetry as well as other Chinese literature classics.展开更多

However, vocabulary is thought to be the most difficult component of language knowledge for a learner to grasp.
